Kazehikaru

If you live in Asia and have had shiso as part of any dishes you’d instantly recognize that this scent is predominantly shiso. It’s so fresh and natural, just like smelling the real shiso leaves, but with the added freshness and tanginess of yuzu. The florals play support and are very subtle. Sadly the whole experience lasts about 15 mins before it’s completely untraceable on my skin.

Drinking a refreshing cool shiso yuzu-nade and eating a freshly baked zesty pastry at a flower garden on a warm spring day. The leads (yuzu and shiso, Japanese citrus and mint) come together to create Japanese mint lemonade haha. Surprisingly though they come off warm and tart and not aquatic at all. In the back there's a weak vegetale note that plays an accent role to the shiso giving nice depth. There's also fresh enveloping floral that frames everything here. The floral is my favorite part of this perfume as its gentle enough not to take over but it's always present. In the dry-down the tartness cranks up and it almost smells like smelling some freshly baked pastry with yuzu zest on top! Sadly this does stick very close to the skin and then disappears relatively quickly. To me, this is a great natural perfume you spritz in the middle of a hot sunny day to stay fresh. I really like this!

A gorgeous natural Floriental named for the glowing wind, this energizing and airy fragrance opens with a burst of yuzu and neroli and moves to a floral heart consisting of Japanese rose (hammanasu) accentuated by shiso. It finally dries into a powdery vetiver. The scent is a tribute to the flora of the Hokkaido region of Japan. This is a light, refreshing fragrance, unisex, beautifully blended with moderate sillage/projection and longevity. Incredibly calming and healing. Enjoy!

to me and my limited Japanese Kaze is wind and Hikaru is star. I would say maybe not glowing wind, but bright wind? Its a very green wind. The wind blowing through countryside trees. Its sunny and bright outside not hot or cool and the breeze is just right. This is light and airy. An everyday scent that could be worn anywhere. Its a very natural fragrance. I think they totally nailed a wind scent. It is like taking a deep breath of crisp green air. Very lovely.

Initially on my skin it is wild, herbaceous almost fecal, tonic and sparkling. I also have a bit of roses, then, I get a fresh, dry trail of yuzu, neroli and amara of vetiver. Natural, light, calm. Evanescent like a hand cleansing towel between courses at a lunch with a fish menu.

The opening is very mentholic/minty, which is slightly unpleasant, but once that wears off it becomes a very shiso-forward savory scent.

My 1st try from this line. I like the citrus and floral opening, but the vetiver very quickly takes over and it basically becomes a watery, green vetiver scent with a wisp of an equally watery rose that is on the greener side. I was hoping the vetiver would just be a supporting note, but it is the main player in my skin.

Smells like bug spray. Regret putting it on my skin.

The opening of citrus, flowers and crushed herbs is very refreshing, like a sudden breeze in a warm summer. This is followed by an instant of fresh medicine or camphor, as if the shiso and vetiver were left alone for an instant. After all ingredients come to the front again. You can however tell them apart clearly. All this is a very fast process. There is little projection or duration. Wafts of beautiful rose or green. I feel clean during the day but I cannot smell it beyond the first hour. My friend and teachers at the tea house did not reprehended me for smelling too strong. I have been using heavier fragrances and I chose this for recovering appreciation of the subtle. While wearing this, for the first time, I remembered my times using Annick Goutal. Smelling good without occupying the whole room. For this reason I do not think this is like being in the nature but allowing nature (in form of the garden or distant forest) coming in a house. Saying this, I wish Vetiver or rose were heavier to make it last longer.

the start is quite moist and vegetal, and then it dies down to a really REALLY sweet yuzu. Yuzu, by itself, functions well enough, as a scent. Usually, I'd buy a yuzu from the suupaa anytime we were in Japan, and by the end of our trip, we would discard it. How much I wish I could do that right now... But yeah, quite a yuzu-forward scent. Works well.

Just like every other fragrance by DiSer, Yasuyuki has precisely captured the concept of this fragrance in its scent. Between a sweet/tart Yuzu, citrusy Neroli, herbal Shiso, delicate Rose, and clean, green Vetiver, you really do get the feeling you're being swept up in a crisp breeze. Natural and perfect.
