Full Gallop

Little confused by the apparent hatred for this spicy iriscinth scent.

this one starts with a ton of iris and pepper with some rose and osmanthus. the rose and osmanthus get stronger over time along with amber and musk, and the pepper calms down a bit. the heliotrope comes out a lot on the drydown and it's a warm, pretty floral cloud. really gorgeous scent...reminds me a bit of john galliano perfume, but sweeter.

Blind-buy sadness. Why, oh, why do I get nothing but purple-tinted ambrox? I have had perfect luck buying from highly rated ebay sellers, but this has me wondering... Others mention heliotrope, L'Heure Fricken' Bleue? Not a bit of it here. It's like nothing but sweaty pink pepper. And that's being generous. I have already let this sit for a few weeks. I wore it once and haven't been able to force myself to try again. I've only tried it on paper since, and I'm not smelling improvement. I do not know what is going on with my bottle of Full Gallop. Please do not blind buy like me. If you want a sample, let me know, in U.S. Hell, I'll send you the whole bottle. Edit: Must be it just didn't hold up well. Smells like all the notes aren't there. Edit 2: I apologize for not knowing what this molecule smell is; it might be ISO E Super, rather than Ambrox of some sort. All I know is, it doesn't smell like my kind of perfume. Sorry.

Definitely similar to the great l’Heure Bleue by Guerlain but a little sharper. Quite a peppery iris and heliotrope scent that is subtle but lasts a long time. Not as sweet and over the top as Violet Blonde but not quite as refined as Guerlain. Really nice if you’re into a classic powdery iris.
