Love Diane

I went on a sample spree on fragrancenet and they included a sample of Love Diane in my order. It was love at first spray and I immediately went to buy another sample of this only to find everyone else was going through the same steps as me! Samples were sold out so I took a chance and bought a full bottle. Again, I'm so glad I did because within a couple of days they were sold out too. This is one of the few scents (so far) that I love from start to finish. Quite often I love an opening, but I'm not crazy about dry down and once in a while I hate an opening but love the dry down. But with Love Diane I love the opening, I love the dry down, and I just can't get enough. It's all so sweet, warm and intoxicating (husband's word) but in a way that is still light and fresh. No headaches. No heartburn. No need to shower it off immediately. I actually enjoy catching a whiff of it all day. I've tested it a few days this week and don't even want to try half the others in my order. I'm sure I'll get to them, I just want to enjoy this one for a while. Longevity is good, sillage is moderate.

Looking at the notes, I wouldn't think I'd like this, much less love it but I do. I'm getting a lot of praline (coming across as a chocolate scent) and apricot in the beginning, then a teeny bit of licorice. This was a great blind buy, dirt cheap when I bought it, but I see it must be discontinued based on the recent eBay prices. Unfortunately, this does not last as long on the skin, maybe 2-3 hours on me, and the sillage is very moderate. I wish it was a little heavier, but I love the scent. Versatile, can be worn year-round and unique, different from anything else I have smelled.

This is one of the best I have ever smelled! I usually stick to what I know, like celeb scents, but I am glad I ventured out. The pralines and licorice are the dominant notes, and they smell divine together! This was an awesome blind buy. I, as a gourmand lover, am in rapture right now! The spiciness is just right. The lasting power is pretty great and so is the sillage. I want another bottle!

I was shopping at Costco and I came upon this perfume for $17.00 in the 1.7 oz. size. At that price, I just had to try it. Well,to my surprise, I have received so many compliments from my co-workers about this fragrance. I'm going to buy another A.S.A.P. I'm so surprised at the reaction I have had with this scent.

This sweetheart reminds me of a toned down Amor Amor by Cacharel. Love it! Sweet and fresh. I am happy to have found this for less than 10$ at a discount shop. After a quick check on Fragrantica I bought it blind and so glad I did! Welcome to my collection "Love"!

i layer this with either minajesty and viva la juicy ... good scent .. decent lasting power

This is a cute frag. Received this as a free sample. Since the price point is so low I could see picking up a bottle to use as a spring or summer pick me up for the afternoon at work or to layer with another fruity cheap find. This one over something stronger might be nice. The praline is nice but leaves me wanting so much more. I don’t have enough to go wild with it but it’s so light I think you’d need to just to smell anything. When I bury my nose into my wrist, I like what I smell. But I’ve had body sprays stronger than this for certain! Most definitely not age appropriate for me as this is a little girl to preteen scent. But I don’t care~ I kinda like it. Nothing too sharp or candyish. Just very sweet with the bit of praline. Not at all what I’d expect from Ms. Von Furstenberg! My very stylish, perfume Rockin grandmother loved her clothing line. She would not have liked this frag though. Lol

By now I got this as a gift. I wouldn't have bought it for myself, because when I tested it on paper I found it very decent and not convincing. Now that I own it and use it more generously, I think it's quite prominent but not overpowering. The praline comes out more on the skin. It's quite a gourmand scent, but without the thick sweetness that some gourmands have. To me it smells like black forest cake (Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte). It's a fun scent that fits more for autumn and winter, I think. The lasting power is ok.

Sweet fragrance, yet light and fresh. I’m surprised how much I like it because I’m not a fan of sweet fragrances and licorice and pralines usually put me off. I can smell them but they don’t interfere with the subtleness of this perfume; they enhance it in a very elegant way. I guess the freshness comes from the fruity essences of peach and redcurrant, although my nose detects these fruity notes more in a style of lychee – light, breezy, fine-champagne-like. Perfect feel-good potion for a warm and sunny day :)

Every time I wear this perfume it reminds me of Viva La Juicy. The only two notes that both of these perfumes share,are pralines and jasmine.....go figure!! Anyway, I don't smell any of the licorice or red current. I do smell the apricot and pralines. This perfume is a good choice to where on very hot days. The apricot gives it a fresh quality,and the pralines a light sweet smell. I will say that in the winter I can not smell this perfume at all! Only on hot summer days does this perfume come alive for me.

Found it at Costco for $9.00.. Figured I'd give it a try because the bottle looks interesting. I really like it! Reminds me of when I was working at Saks as the fragrance manager and Lolita Lempicka first came onto the scene. Everyone was intrigued by the unusual apple shaped bottle, the licorice and violet notes.. It was a huge hit. Smelling this fragrance takes me back to that happy time.. I don't find it too sweet, it dries down quickly to a soft, warm creaminess that is really nice.

I am not a fan of sweet gourmand fragrances. I don't like sweets and I don't want to walk around smelling like dessert. But I received this as a sample and tried it. I was not impressed with the top notes but then as it dried down I kept smelling the soft scent. I couldn't get enough of this scent. It's very light, not too sweet and very pleasant. I ended up ordering a 3.4 oz. bottle for $15.00. Couldn't believe the price. This will be a great casual day fragrance.

I received a sample from fragrance.net and I like it. If I didn't have other perfumes that had similar smell I would buy it. I don't think it is bad but it's not anything new either. It's sweet and not overpowering. I didn't smell licorice. To me it's a little like Revlon Fire & Ice but not as strong. It seems like everyone reviewing this is reminded of another perfume. On the up side, price is something to smile about!

Smells to me a lot like Ari by Ariana Grande or maybe Paris Hilton Siren. It’s bright and fruity. It’s a very pretty scent, and is probably grab a bottle of i ran across it at a good price. I’m testing Love Diane on one hand, Ari on the other and there’s barely a difference at all. Ari is maybe a tad brighter, fruitier, but they are super close.

This smells quite fresh at the opening then it settles and there's praline scent with warm and cosy feeling. A very good choice for a calm, no headache and simple daywear!

I smelled this without seeing the bottle and instantly assumed it was Amor Amor by Cacharel. Very sweet, very coying, for better or worse. 6/10

It smells just like like Paris Hilton Passport Paris. Very, very sweet but in a syrupy, cloying way. It smells like sugar free, synthetic peach syrup mixed with vanilla. This can easily become overwhelming if sprayed too much. I think people around you would be mad if they had to smell this all day. I'm a big vanilla gourmand lover. I'm oBSESSED with many gourmand vanillas but this one is disgusting. It lasts forever. I tried rubbing it off my wrist with a wet wipe and can still smell it with my arm at my side.

Smells synthetic, cheap, and so sweet it's giving me sticky vibes. Too immature for my taste. Probably good scent for a teen. This has zero to do with her original fragrance, Tatiana. Not even in the same ballpark as to quality. DVF seemed to be a one hit wonder with fragrance as that was the best and everything after seemed to be wanting, which seemed to match the trajectory of her fashion career too. She had a hit with the wraparound dress and everything else was downhill from there.

It’s never a good sign when the last two orders from fragrancenet include the same unsolicited sample. Love Diane is cheap and it smells like it; nothing natural in this synthetic composition. I have no idea what the notes are suppose to be, the only thing I can pick up is cotton candy.

I got a sample from fragrance net. Seems it goes with every order. My first reaction also was sneeze. It’s sweety candier. If I did not read it’s DVF I would think it’s one of those no name chea perfumes. It might not be bad for young girls, but not for women buyingDVF dresses.

Sweet. Simple. Synthetic. Smells cheap but rather pleasant. For a very young girl. Received a sample with fragrance net order. Perfumistas, relax. Nothing interesting here.

You have to love licorice to love this perfume, and unfortunately I do not. I would call this the more sophisticated, grown-up version of Aquolina's "Pink Sugar".

Apricot nectar and red currant opening - juicy and fruity. The jasmine immediately follows. A generic, fruity floral. Lame. Nothing exciting. A touch of something praline, maybe licorice in the drydown, but its weak. Still really just a fruity, fruity floral. Absolutely forgettable.

Many years ago I received this fragrance as a free sample with an online order. I put t in a box with all my other free samples and forgot about it until now. I went thru the box recently and this one stood out, so I gave it a test spray.... What happened next was pure olfactory bliss.... As i took in this sensual fragrance...my eyes closed...and my mind swirled with visions of a beautiful goddess..with sun-drenched skin...and delicate silk scarf around her neck ...wearing a gorgeous yet risqué summer dress flowing in the breeze as it nears sunset. She leans in close to me, and whispers in my ear with her delicate feminine voice...”kiss me”. I find this fragrance to be probably one of the most seductive & alluring scents i have ever experienced. It has finally reached a niche price point because it is highly sought after and discontinued. Once you have the olfactory experience seared into your memory ...it will live there forever....and beckon to you like a siren of the sea.... It is unforgettable...and makes your heart skip a beat like young love... Yet will make your pulse race like the desire to abandon the innocence of it... I have made a full bottle purchase of 30ml.. It's not unpleasant but there's a note which comes across to my nose as celery. Black current? Apricot? I get it in a lot of fruity or men's scents. Other than that it's nice if you like VS scents or celebrity Brittney/ Jessica scents. More for a young girl imo but if grandma likes it, hey more power to her. Don't love it don't hate it but nice bottle.

I got this as a sample on fragrance net and I fell in love with it. It reminded me of a perfume that I already have but i couldn't quite put a finger on it. Yesterday i wore Juicy Couture Gold Couture and was reminded that this was the scent that Love by Diane reminds me of. So I sprayed both perfumes on different arms and they smell nearly identical.

This and Minajesty have a very similar smell! In the scense of the red berries, but I could swear I smelt Tonka bean in this, which is in Minajesty, but to my surprise, its not! Personally I prefer Minajesty because I love the Tonka in it, but this one has better longevity and sillage! Overall I nice scent for casual use. It's nothing ground-breaking!

If you like Juicy Couture Gold Couture you will love this one. Sillage is the same, performance is the same, and the both smell almost the same. To be honest, the only time I could notice a difference between them was when I first sprayed one on each arm. After two minutes, the difference was completely gone to my nose.

Very, very light. Sprayed it on an hour ago and can now barely detect it. Reminds me of Can Can and even a little bit of Viva La Juicy, weirdly. Very sweet, feminine, and pretty. I like it, but it's similar to a few perfumes I already own, and much too discreet for my taste. This will be getting returned, unfortunately.

Smells surprisingly strongly of blackcurrant! That funky off scent that the fresh berries have and leave on your hands after you pick them. Also sweet and sour, but these last are synthetic and not too pleasant. I wish I could isolate just the blackcurrant scent.

This perfume is a five year old in a pink tutu, with white tights and Wellington boots. Super sweet, sugar coated candy and pink marshmallows, with a Licorice allsort on the top. Not to be taken too seriously, this one is for the young, or the young at heart.

I found this one for five dollars on clearance at a store that was closing. Brand new and boxed so I tried it. This is a very nice soft sweet scent. I like this also. Glad I did not have to pay full price for it. A good find.

My wonderful hubby bought me this one and it has become one of my top 3. You can wear it day and night. Soft, sweet, and smooth. One of the most pleasant scents I have worn. Very light, but gets compliments.

I've had this since 2017. Not sure why they have jacked up the prices to $85-$399??! and more Like really? This is weak and smells like several victoria secret fragrances.

I just bought this. Very light : a hint of rose, a hint of vanila, very innofensive , not so strong or nasty heavy sweet, so it is already something.

Defiantly a dupe for Victoria secret scandalous && Victoria secret intense Diane is way too lite. But you get the nicer breezes of the praline.

It is sweet and fruity, which is just not in my personal taste. But there are plenty of people out there who do enjoy these types of scents!

It's like Viva la Juicy with licorice added. Has a lot of "bite" -- not a smooth fragrance. Synthetic smelling. Not for me.

Cloying and cheap smelling.. This has been done sooooo many times before. Made for a teenager.

Quite similar to Innocent by Thierry Mugler. Smells clean and cozy. Seems to last a while.

Smells exactly like Ari by Ariana Grande. A bit sweeter, heavier Ari.

Smells like Benetton Energy Woman and Cacharel Amor Amor :)
