It’s strange - the scent I have worn the longest is the one I almost rejected out of hand. My first bottle of Loverdose was a gift at fourteen. I found it too “slutty,” too “girly”- yet I sprayed it in my room anyway, as if daring myself to find out who I might become if I wore it outside. The smell was overwhelming, cloying, almost suffocating - so foreign to my shy, quiet self that it felt like I’d stepped into a fantasy harem, a haze of sweet incense and performative seduction. I finished that bottle at nineteen. Bought another, and another. I am on my third now. For me, Loverdose isn’t just a fragrance. It’s a memory, a mood, a room where the purple curtains never open and the furniture is cheap IKEA painted in shadows. String lights blink half-heartedly overhead. It smells like late-night self-reflection - adolescent and aimless, curling up in the dark, letting the haze of vanilla and star anise fill the space I was afraid to inhabit. The star anise is the memory hook: childhood walks with my father, licorice eaten after the cinema, boots crunching on new snow on a dark December night. The licorice wasn’t even good, I never liked it, but the moment was sweet - bitterness cut with warmth. When I first started using Loverdose as a newly legal woman, it felt like a dare: a challenge to see if the scent that felt “too sexy” would make me feel vulnerable, even hunted. Instead, it did the opposite. It made me feel powerful. The cloying haze that once felt confining became something protective, almost regal: an embrace of purple silk, equal parts shield and invitation. Self-love, when you’re a broken girl in a broken world, is painful - but those blue-green bruises look good against heart-shaped glass tinted with poison colors. Years pass. What once felt too sweet, too much, mellows into something caramel-like, soft around the edges. The perfume doesn’t feel like a restraint anymore. It’s not a mask I put on for anyone else, it’s an accent I crave, a small indulgence I wear for myself. The memory of that shared licorice remains. Loverdose is no longer a test of my courage or a trap for the unwary; it’s just me: complicated, a little nostalgic, a little hungry for sweetness.

I have red loverdose and I love it,I also love the black one so this was a must try for me,today I received my sample and as soon as I dabbed some on my hand I was hooked!this is amazing! If you're looking for a liquorice/vanilla/anise heaven,this is The one..it's creamy,dreamy.delicious without being sugary,fresh in a special way..my nose is sticked to my hand..I desperately need to bath in it I can't even explain how much excited I am,after testing almost 400 perfumes I've just been this much excited a couple of times,so this can't be a generic scent I can see a little similarity between this and lolita but differences are more.more than any other perfume, it reminds me police blossom but loverdose is brighter This is as smooth and soft as angel's feathers,and veryyy yummy,and comforting and sexy and oh,I'm in love Highly recommended to vanilla,liquorice lovers Longevity is very good,sillage is just as I like,noticeable not just from so close but not also overpowering I can wear this everytime and everywhere but it's better in chilly weather There are very unique and high quality diesel scents,I should try the others too ❤❤❤❤❤ Edit:last week I received my bottle and there are some points I want to add First ppint is about it's longevity which is amazing.my skin is white and normal.most perfumes stay moderately on me(about 4,5 hours)I sprayed loverdose before night sleep.just two sprays on my wrists.I can detect it very easily next day.it becomes faint afternoon!so longevity is +12 hours! The other point is about it's opening.some people may find it medicinal or plasticy,I get that but make sure to let it settle down.I can't find slightest trace of plastic feeling after couple of minutes.I'm already addicted to this babe and I'm craving for liquorice delights all the days

I will begin by saying that this was a total blindbuy, based only on the reviews on Fragrantica and YT. Will it wow you? Maybe, only if you are at the beginning of your frag journey and your nose barely got used to more complex notes. This is a really good place to start with, as this overdose of love (pun intended) does indeed bare a resemblance to Alien and Black Opium and other ambery-vanilic-jasmine sugary fragrances. The DNA has benn done before, so you will not stand out in the crowd too much, but the chances that you disturb people with this fragrance are quite low (unless you stump across an Alien hater). However, the lions are not bothered by the opinions of sheep, so by any means, carpe diem with this fragrance. The opening is quite synthetic, with a pungent smell of alcohol prickling at your nostrils. Creamy vanilla and sugar is what I mostly get in the first 15 minutes. After that, the amber and jasmine come through and you get to experience a slightly (but only very slightly) more complex blend of notes. If you are afraid of licorice, I can only get a hint of it, nothing that is bothering, if such, it only compliments the fragrance and it gives it that kick, making it less generic. The stars of the show seem to be vanilla, amber and in the background sits the jasmine quietly. In its full drydown, it gets more warm and keeps a steady vanillic pace. In my humble opinion, I think men would like this. It is sexy but not overly so, it is warm and inviting you to hugs, it gives me bad-girl vibes. Overall, it is ok for the price, if you get it at a discount.

GOURMAND HELIOTROPE with Licorice & Jasmine Opens with a sweet burst of lightly sparkling mandarin with a spicy flare from star anise, that deepens into a white-floral heart of jasmine & gardenia that has powdery, sweet, spicy, violet & licorice tones. When I take a step back, I get an abstract heliotrope (nicknamed "cherry-pie flower" with baby powder, vanilla, almond extract & licorice tones). A nice cross between Black Opium Yves Saint Laurent & Hypnose Lancome. Requires several months of dark storage after first sprays to develop performance and true scent. Comparison to Daarej Rasasi: Similar vibe with heliotrope represented with licorice & white florals, but Loverdose is sweeter and leans a bit more to the soft-spicy-musky, while Daarej leans more to the cherry facets of heliotrope. Daarej is inspired by Hypnose Lancome, while Loverdose is closer to Lolita Lempicka. Having said that, these 2 are quite similar IMO. Roughly equivalent performance. Performance: slightly better than average but this will never be a powerhouse - has a relaxed vibe. Performance can be boosted by layering over Molecule 01 (or homemade Molecule 1 = iso e super plus perfumer's alcohol in a glass spray bottle), Great value - it's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 11/02/23: After this has aged a bit, I get the comparison to Black Opium, and for an oversimplified description, this is like a softer musk version of Black Opium, or halfway between Black Opium & Lolita Lempicka. Love it!

I smelled this for the first time about a year ago, and ever since I've been in love with it, but never could find in stores around me. Earlier today, I finally got it! To me, Loverdose is a warm/spicy, slightly powdery, black licorice scent with hints of vanilla. I believe the slight spicy powder I detect is the amber or the woodsy notes? Maybe a little jasmine, but I don't really get any gardenia or much orange scent from it. The vanilla isn't a overpowering note, either. I know some scents dry down to almost pure vanilla, but Loverdose keeps it's licorice or star anise notes strong. If you don't like the smell of black licorice, you most likely will not like this because Loverdose smells exactly like black licorice. I don't consider this "generic" like some call it, off the top of my head I can only thing of two fragrances that are supposed to have a prominent licorice note. Pink Sugar, which I personally can't smell any licorice in and Lolita Lempicka which I've never smelled. It's not the "generic" fruity sweet, or tooth decay sweet. Sure, it's probably not the most groundbreaking unique fragrance but it's definitely NOT generic imo. I feel like any age could wear this and rock it. I think it would be fine to wear in day time, but I think it would really shine at night. I think I'll end up wearing this perfume regularly, I can easily see it becoming my go-to fragrance.

The drydown is very similar to Black Opium but is a bit more boozy, I guess because of the amber. The initial spray smells nice like soft powdery vanilla with liquorice or root beer but then it just becomes a Black Opium dupe minus some background smell that makes Black Opium a bit more mature. The only way I can explain it is that there's a smell that reminds me of saliva or drool that some of those high end perfumes have that can be kind of off putting to me-- Mugler Angel and YSL Mon Paris have it too and I can't figure out what scent that is supposed to be. Maybe that's one of the "animalic" notes people describe in perfumery that's probably ambergris related or a pheromone. Thank goodness Loverdose doesn't have that-- or at least not in a high enough concentration to bother me. I agree with user kittywhiskers that it's an immature Black Opium, but it also costs less and still smells pretty high end so I can see myself buying more of this since it smells great and I love vanilla and gourmand scents. If you can find it on sale for $25 go for it! Sillage is okay and scent duration are not that great though, as it dies down to the amber really fast. You'll be spraying this alot if you like the initial scent. I mainly like the bottle design.

Ah, Loverdose. I was absolutely OBSESSED with this perfume when I was in high school (I'm 23 now). At the time I thought it was a massive punch of liquorice and spice and then a vanilla that just lasted all day. I was so in love with the bottle I ended up keeping them when they were empty for years until I started to run out of room! My fragrance hobby died for a few years, and I even remember smelling it in a shop and thinking it was vile. Then I tried it again when my hobby reignited, and while that opening brought SO many fond memories rushing back and I still love it so much.... the longevity and performance are utter garbage. Licorice and star anise is gone within minutes, leaving vanilla. Then within half an hour to an hour it's gone completely. I don't know why I continue to wear it when it brings me such temporary joy just to be hit with a rush of disappointment again every time. I would love to find a fragrance that's identical to Loverdose's opening, but I'm yet to find one. I tried Lolita Lempicka Mon Premier Parfum and hated it. I'll continue my torturous love affair with Loverdose and just repeatedly spray and go through bottles like nobody's business until I find a comparable scent.

This scent was a game changer for me and is my second signature scent. Everyone recognises and compliments it when I wear it. It started my love for licorice and anise in perfume & made me explore scents. I had Lolita Lempicka or Angel TM before, but I never sticked to it or owned a whole bottle. But gosh, this one has been with me half of my life now (half, like since I've got into scents when I was 15, now I'm 32y old and still love it), around 15y I would say. It may be me but the longevity and sillage on me is enormous and it works with my skin like a dream. My friend bought it after me, and was let down as it didn't work for her but she loved it on me. I actually found a better dupe for it, Replay Stone, more potent and for a EDT it's even stronger and develops better. This is a gem anyway, from the bottle to the juice. Spicy (because of the anise and licorice), warm (wood and amber notes), bit green and vanilla, sensual scent which you can't overdose but definitely love(rdose) if you're into this type of frangranceces. I think that even after ~15 years on the market it aged well and I will say it's as a modern classic. It's a keeper.

Firstly I am a SUCKER for gourmand scents; that, and the curiosity I had over the liquorice note, is precisely what led me to get a sample of this. My adoration for Loverdose was so instant that the sample was almost immediately gone and a full bottle was purchased (and another after that :P). I now happily consider this to be my signature scent. I have to echo what Yeremeh said; Loverdose smells thick and sticky like syrup. It's warm and comforting like a big liquoricey hug but at the same time it's sexy and...almost rebellious? I absolutely get why the overwhelming majority feel this is a winter fragrance, though I discovered it slap bang in the middle of May and as such Loverdose is a summery scent for me! ----I wouldn't consider this a safe blind buy as I feel liquorice is far too polarising. Generally speaking I would say that if liquorice or star anise isn't your jam that you should probably avoid this one or get a sample if your curiosity is just too hard to ignore. Also the bottle is gorgeous. I mean, come on.

Soft, Dark & Sweet Jasmine-Sambac to be worn at Midnight in Paris... My first impression of this 2011 Amber Vanilla by Olivier Cresp, was heliotrope. But as I'm testing it now it's reading as soft-spicy & sweet jasmine-sambac with the licorice-y aspects of jasmine played up. What I love about this is that it's so soft & dark, but also sweet, like a secret whispered against your ear. I could imagine Marion Cotillard or Léa Seydoux wearing this in the Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris (2011) released the same year as Loverdose. It's sweet, but not sticky sweet, more of a powdery, velvet sweet with shades of soft purple like the bottle, and a darkness that's hard to pinpoint. For an oversimplified comparison you could call this a softer powdery musk version of Black Opium, or halfway between Black Opium YSL & Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka. It gets sweeter with time, both on the skin and in the bottle. Performance is soft but present projection for slightly above average longevity. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

spotted at SDM on the beloved $19.99 shelf; picked it up because I really like the Red Kiss flanker. started as a like but I think it's up to love now after a couple of wears. I don't like the taste of black licorice but the blend of the star anise with the sweetness of the vanilla and the spicy vibes is really nicely balanced without being aggressive. was told I smell "really good" wearing this one in my hair. i don't do signature scents but if I did I would consider this one because I feel like this smells 'purple' somehow, like a dark royal violet, and I almost always have some shade of purple in my hair or clothes. I should have bought two or three at that price because this little amethyst is delicious. also the bottle is SO gorgeous it's unreal. I'm a sucker for a crystal cut (see: Jewel, Princess, R.E.M., this one's Red Kiss sister) but the colour is so rich and vibrant. I like it even better than the Ruby red RK heart, and I hope they hold and don't flake away.

I've been wearing this for almost a year now and it has quickly become my signature. Definitely more of a cold weather perfume as it can get cloying but it shines best during overcast and rainy days, something about the chill and the rain in the air makes it ultra captivating. I don't get much orange in the opening but the star anise is very present, even when I smelled the bottle for the first time it smelled "purple". I get lots of licorice and it make it a little edgier than straight vanilla perfumes but the dry down is a very sweet sexy vanilla and the amber just helps it along more. I don't get the root beer scent I see others mention. All in all a very polarizing perfume and understandably so, it is definitely a scent that has to match your overall wardrobe and personality to be able to pull it off lest it be too disharmonious. My boyfriend loves it and my best friend thinks its one of my best perfumes. It's dark yet feminine just like me.

From the first sniff I was overwhelmed with love for this,I absolutely love licorice and yes this one certainly has it,with a backdrop of vanilla and a speck of white flowers that runs through. The licorice is sweet yet sexy,the longevity is crazy,and the projection is awesome, this really warms on my skin,and the sweet heady aroma is something really good. The bottle is something to admire,and the perfume itself is admired by many.....you can not overdose on this Loverdose!! This scent matches a personality with sass and rock n roll....bit like myself then LOL A great love and thumbs up for me!! -------------Edit----------------- The dry down is stunning,after several hours this morphs into an ambery vanilla that is beautiful, I normally love patchouli in my fragrances,this is one of them that has not got any, yet the vanilla is a sexy vanilla and not a sweet cupcake variety which I hate.....edible sexiness!!!

A couple of years ago, I ordered a red lipstick online, and when it arrived, there was a sample vial of Diesel Loverdose in my order. I wore both that night, and found they were perfectly paired; Loverdose is undoubtedly a red lipstick, high heels and seduction sort of fragrance. The first spray is sweet and fruity, before drying down to a sensual combination of vanilla, star anise and woods, with the liquorice note lingering beautifully throughout and providing the unique depth and personality that makes Loverdose so special. Even in jeans and a sweatshirt, Loverdose always makes me feel attractive. I lusted after it for ages after my sample ran out until I finally bought a full bottle last week, and found it to be the same stunning fragrance it was when I first tried it. I think I will always have a bottle of this in my collection.

Way ahead of its time! Ive loved this one since i got a sample at sephora over a decade ago. It smells very purple which I seem to enjoy in a frag even though i never wear the color oddly. To me this smells. 95% identical to black opium so probably don't need both. So similar that when black opium was released and i started smelling it alot as it became popular I was shocked people were wearing a discontinued frag until i figured it out, YSL completely ripped this off! I adore both but Loverdose always will be my first licorice love which shocked me as i hate to eat licorice but the smell is sooo sexy and mysterious. I will say Black Opium has a little more floral and slightly sweeter. Recently found at TJ Maxx! Definitely has a nighttime vibe. Try even if you don't like licorice! Bottle is gorgeous too!

found this early in my fragrance journey when i wanted something like black opium that wasnt black opium and i instantly fell in love something about the licorice is most intoxicating when combined with the petrichor of an approaching thunderstorm, this is a girl who wants to be edgy but has the whiny limpid soul of an avid anais nin reader shes too kittenish to be a lion yet she still sinks her claws in you if you pet her soft belly, she wants to seduce but is too melancholic, too acerbic, a sub in a dommes body, warm cotton panties under a mini mini skirt the opening is chemically, strong and a bit headache inducing before it settles into a spicy warm vanilla a girl who thinks herself too good for warm vanilla sugar but still craves the comfort of the smell

Not only do i just love the scent of Loverdose - it has become a super sentimental bottle for me. I’m tempted to try the flankers. When i was pregnant with our son we decided to name him Diesel and my husband went to a Diesel store after work and bought me a bottle of Loverdose. To this day (my son is now 3) it means so much to me because my husband is not a shopper or a gift giver so even if i hated the scent i would still cherish it. Luckily i think it smells amazing. Perhaps not super unique and for everyone tastes (it can remind me of black opium, Lolita Lempicka, and an Acqua di parm frag I had at times) but i will always keep this bottle because of the thought behind it. I know this doesn’t help as a review but i had to share the story behind it.

I just finished a bottle of this and i'm really sad :( I love this perfume & need another. Its definitely giving edgy/grungy/punk/rockstar/rebel. The licorice is prominent and gives it that candylike sweetness but theres something (the woodsy notes i assume) that makes it smoky and a little metallic. I sprayed the last few sprays of this for a sweaty halloween party because thats kind of the vibe I get from this perfume. This is perfect for concerts or underground raves or any club where you will be body to body dancing. wish it lasted longer but longevity is like 3-4 hours. you get a nice projection with a generous spray. sillage is moderate. for the price though i think it's worth it. plus the bottle is soooo cute.

I vividly remember being obsessed with this perfume back when it came out as a kid simply because of the design of the bottle (think purple and heart shaped, right) and the gourmand scent, whilst having my perfume collector mother eagerly agree on the likeability of this thing. got it as a gift a few years ago from my mom for nostalgia :) immediately makes me think of a very sweet aromatic spicy tea because of the anise/licorice which is why i really enjoy it. keeps that same unique scent all throughout its longevity and imo luckily doesn't change after dry down, maybe evens out, but otherwise it stays the same.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Finally got my hands on a bottle online (it’s not sold anywhere in Australia that I know of) as a blind buy due to wanting to collect more anise/licorice scents and OMG it is just everything perfect about a perfume 😍 I don’t get the orange/mandarin at all, just gorgeous heavy anis and woody vanilla... Great sillage, not sure on the longevity yet as I’m yet to wear it out of the house 😅 A sexy, heady scent - definitely NSFW nor dinner at the in-laws 😂 so save this one for sexy evening dates or hotel rendezvous. If you love Lolita Lempicka, this is like a more mature, evening version.

I adore this scent. It's captivating and grungily beautiful- think hot punk singer. The anise and Licorice is divine and its sweet but not at all syrupy. I have skin that eats scents, they just disappear and this one is no different. I wish it had longevity on me. I have Lolita Lempica on order and can't wait to see if that will last a bit longer. I have 2 bottles of Loverdose and I am truely tempted to buy another as I never want to be without it. Sometimes if I overspray my hair I can still smell it after 3 hours. This scent feels like my personality. I leave an impression but then I'm a ghost.

I’m shocked !!! I buy the perfume my father gift me 8 or 9 yers ago and i hate it.. feel like I’m sniffing « Ricard » To day like 10min ago i give it a try and Oh my GOD! What’s this beautiful perfume? Is it the same i smell 10 years ago!? Or my nose change ? An absolute liquorice bomb, so if you don't like liquorice in your perfumes, this is definitely not the one for you. Luckily, I love this. This is a sweet, syrupy, almost medicinal black liquorice scent. Like Good and Plenty candies. The star anise helps it feel less one-dimensional and gives it a little bit of spice and character. Dries down to a sweet, smooth, slightly powdery vanilla. Sexy, dark, and a little mysterious, but still plenty feminine. If you're a fan of Lolita Lempicka-esque fragrances, you'll be a fan of this, too.

Wanted this one for a long time but it’s very hard to get in Australia. I managed to get a bottle sent from the US. I was hoping for a more syrupy liquorice but it’s fairly tame, it’s not as sweet or dark as I’d hoped. There’s pleasant florals present but nothing I can pinpoint specifically and some creamy dry down, I feel that Juliett Has a Gun Mmmm has taken inspiration from Loverdose. I get the same masculine vibe at the beginning. I will try it again in the heat of summer and see how it wears. I adore the bottle too.

Bold, brazen and sassy! One of the only perfumes I can handle with gardenia in it (because I can't detect it). I love this "bombshell" of a fragrance. Sweet and thick but not cloying or suffocating. The licorice and vanilla really make this perfume a star for me. The bottle isn't exactly practical but who cares when it's as pretty as it is! Great scent for autumn and winter. A great choice for those with lots of confidence. Not a quiet fragrance. This one is loud and proud! I will always have a bottle of this on hand.

I love this fragrance! It may not be for every taste. However, for me it brings to mind root beer in the most delicious way possible. The notes of star anise are balanced so nicely with the mandarin orange. The dry down is beautiful with notes of vanilla and subtle liquorice coming forward. The bottle is beautiful as well - some don't love this bottle style - but to me, it's an eye catching design that stands out in any collection. In my opinion, this is one of the best fragrances you can buy for under $75.

Sumptuous, rich and dreamy. It is a cold morning here and i needed something sweet and rich for warmth. There is licorice vanilla, amber, woods and sweet but not high pitched jasmine undertone. It reminds me of Alien. I love that it seems to float about you and you can experience the fragrance while wearing it. It is not just a skin scent. This is definitely a comfort scent for me. It is also very sexy and perfect for a date night....actually this is a scent to wear just for the love of it.

Blind buy. I was terrified to try it (I struggle a lotttt with anis), but gave it a chance after soki London review. It indeed has similarities in the dry down with black opium but with added anis. Anis note gives this fragrance very “Alien” type of scent but much lighter. So overall I would say that this is the mix of both of them. I think that this fragrance deserves much higher score that it got here, but I can see why some struggle with it, it’s not for beginners

Holyyyy one of my fave perfumes ever. It smells so addicting, sweet, unique and soft!! Can tend to be a bit cloying if you put too much. I only had small bits of it left because i got it from my friend so i wansnt able to truly put it to the test. It smells like vanilla and liqourice in the best way possible. Longevity wasn't great and it isn't for daily use in my opinion. The scent is still just so good it overcomes everything else, would buy if it was available

One thing no-one seems to have mentioned is that this fragrance is designed to attract the opposite sex (although you aren't going to feel very confident about that if you can't stand it!) I have only tried a sample and had to hide the rest of the vial.... I spent the rest of the evening trying to fend off my husband who suddenly seemed to have sprouted a number of extra arms! So before you give up, see if it gets your man giving up all will to resist!

this was my very first perfume ever and the reason why i started loving and collecting scents. I fell in love with it like 7 years ago and i couldn't help but buying it immediately. The anise note is so beautiful in here, it is a very sweet and oriental scent. The licorice and the mandarine are so prominent too, and i love it. I was so obsessed with this. The scent is very different and unique. And the bottle is beyond beautiful.

I got my loverdose and its so so good its sweet&smells almost exactly like black licorice yet its smooth&fresh in a candy sweet fresh way....I do not know how to explain that part....it lasts&is in my sweet favorites list,unique to me&it doesn't smell like lolita lempicka orig,its way sweeter&I love this naughty sweetness!!!I also love lolita but there different some ppl compare so just saying... Longevity is Fan!

I’ve been wearing this glorious beauty for years - since I was a teenager. It’s pretty unique - the licorice note is at the forefront of the whole thing, backed up by vanilla, amber, flowers. It is seductive, heavy, bold and singular. The performance is pretty good for the price - it lasts a decent while, the sillage is good, and people will comment on it. It’s not a perfume masterpiece, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

tried today, hot humid summer. lasts like a trooper, very long lasting. the beginning is a bit star anise ish, or liquorice floral, a ittel sweet, the mid notes are more root-y liquorice root ish i guess, the dry down is sort of in the same vein as armani code - perhaps thats the whitelfloral powderyness - i love that its not sweet sweet. theres another one or two it reminds me of, cant think what though. good

Beautiful scent. Cozy, spicy, and above all delicious. A must have gourmand for lazy days on the couch reading a book by the fireplace and sipping some hot chocolate, yummy. * some people have recommended me to try In Love by New Brand, can’t find it listed in here, but it’s a cheapie that’s supposedly made like it, so no harm to buy :) I will sample it soon and will report back when I do.

I love Loverdose. It's rich and quite heavy, definitely a winter perfume for me. The licorice is sweet and dark at the same time, the most dominant note on this one (for me at least), but it still doesn't cover the others. I had my eyes and nose on this one for so long before I bought my first bottle six years ago, and I will keep purchasing this over and over again. Worth the price.

This one is awesome in a lot of ways. Screams uniqueness. I recommend a colourful haircut and a sassy attitude to go along with it. I used to wear it a lot at parties, but now when I am older I don't feel like me in it anymore. My little sister rocks my last bottle nowadays. All supercool persons under the age of circs 25 should definitely give this one a try. Could work as unisex.

My first memory of this perfume is in Paris. I was walking near the Louvre, and I found this little perfume shop. I pulled my father in and begged to buy a perfume. Loverdose happens to be one of my favorite perfumes, and it's the first one I've loved. It's sweet but it isn't. It's harsh but it isn't. I was so devastated when I was done with the bottle. 100% would buy again.

I love licorice, and Loverdose doesn't disappoint. I have a newer bottle without the "dagger" inside, and it still smells great. Longevity isn't great, though. For the price I don't really care. I'd love to find a dagger bottle, so maybe if I get lucky I'll get one into my collection. This reminds me very much of Good Fortune, maybe layering them would help with longevity.

I tried this alongside a couple of others I have to say the liquorice and star anise stood out prominently. Overall a pleasant scent, I find this brand to sit alongside paco rabanne in terms of overall scent. Warm, soft spiced, liquorice, I would have to try this alone without other scents interfering to really say if it's strong or not. From memory it lasted reasonably

Love it! Softer version of Lolita Lempicka. Cute bottle and really pretty uncomplicated scent. I like the licorice in this fragrance. The amber and vanilla keeps it sweet without a knockout effect that can overpower like it does in Lolita. It does have reasonable staying power and nice to wear. Sexy in a playful way if you want to set the mood with this fragrance. 8/10

Finished the EdP today. I learned to love its uniqueness during the past months, Loverdose is very versatile and wearable during day and night, summer and winter. It's spicy and sweet, yet never too offensive. I prefer it on colder days and will surely have good memories wearing this lovely scent. I don't care much for the bottle but I applaud the clever naming.

Such a delicious scent! It really raises the licorice appetite on me ;D Very warm and sensual, feminine but not too serious.I get strong vanilla, licorice and anis with a hint of fresh jasmine, mandarin orange and honey (although it does not appear in notes list).Perhaps not a first choice for hot summer day, but really nice autumn, winter or maybe spring scent.

Loverdose is a very cozy and enjoyable fragrance. It starts off with a heavy dose of liquorice and star anise. After about 5 minutes on my skin it smooths out to a scent reminiscent of root beer. The sillage is moderate, and the longevity is about 5 hours on skin. Truly a cozy, alluring, and comforting liquorice root beer scent that gets compliments :).

Oh My God! I'm in chock!!! First fresh and sweet (nothing really special) and after ten minutes... KABOOM! Is it? No... I mean, it can't be.... Well, it is! IT IS A LOVE <3 Sweet licorish. anise, vanilla, jasmine and amber and a small touch of citrus keeps it fresh. I totally need this one! In my opinion it could be worn 24/7 and definitely by men to!

Loverdose, how I enjoy you, and so does my fiancé. Your sweet vanilla, powdery, licorice warm scent, with your soft spicy kick, you are sure to make a nice statement. I remember I got a very small bottle as a gift from a family member and I just had to get the bigger bottle when I have finally ran out. I will use you more wisely. Lol. Love it

A beautiful heavy and a heady fragrance. Love the blend of sweet and spice here. Works great for winters. It smells really unique, might not be liked by everybody. So test it out before buying. This fragrance starts off with a bang and then settles down to sweet vanilla woody note, it's absolutely beautiful. One of my favourite budget buy.

I was surprised to discover that I love anise/licorice scents. This is easy to love and heavier on the delicious licorice note than LPRN or Lolita Lempicka. Less "fresh/aquatic" notes than those two as well. This is warmer and sexier. I agree that sillage and longevity are poor, that's the only drawback of this otherwise perfect fragrance!

This perfume smelled so sexy to me when I was in my late teens. It's still a great scent! It's very sweet but you're talking about a warm kind of sweetness. It's not too sugary. Vanilla, licorice and anise notes are a great combination. The orange note refreshes it in a very subtile way. It's a pretty unique and distinctive blend!

I normally HATE anything that smells of licorice but somehow I LOVE this perfume! My boyfriend bought it as a blind buy gift for me as the bottle was so pretty. He did well! Perfect perfume for a autumn/winter night. Smells of licorice sweets and vanilla with orange flower, a strange mix but works very well.
