Only The Brave Eau de Parfum

It’s a synthetic fragrance, but I like the scent. The cirtus+lavender smells good and is definitely nice to have in the collection.

I bought a Guerlain sample and this was thrown in as a 2ml. I didn't realize it was a recent release so I feel obligated to share my first impressions of it for you all. DISCLAIMER: I am not familiar with Diesel fragrances, this will be my first one I've ever smelled From first spray it smells like every other cheap designer fragrance. It's that sweet, synthetic thing that happens with those you find on the shelves in the mall. Mind you, I am a total niche head and am not usually into designer fragrances so my opinion could be totally different than somebody elses. As someone who has been in the fragrance game a while, this definitely is a synthetic mess in the opening to my nose. That being said, it dries down quite nicely! It's got a nice sweet note that is somewhat warm. I'd say it is very comparable to fragrances made by Paco Rabanne, Burberry, Spicebomb, Coach, Jean Paul Gaultier, etc. It's not going to be mind-bendingly amazing, but it does the job. I think someone who isn't familiar with fragrances is going to love this and buy it right off the shelf. In the air this fragrance actually smells quite good. I'm somewhat impressed. Smelling it up close on the skin you do get that synthetic sweetness, but the scent trail is where this one shines as the leather comes out in the sillage. Be warned, this IS a sweet fragrance no doubt about it. I'm 33 years old and don't know if I could rock this if I'm to be completely honest. 6/10 It's not bad. . .There is a subtle something in there that is addicting (maybe it is that leather poking through a bit?) but would I buy it? No, not really. To me it just smells like another cheap designer from Dillards but with a tinge of something special in there. I think this will be absolutely FANTASTIC for the right person though. It does not smell like Tom Ford's Ombre Leather so don't let that be a factor that sways you into buying this one. You'll be disappointed if you buy this hoping it will be as good as Ombre Leather. Also, there are no animalics in this so don't worry about that at all. I think I totally would have bought this if it wasn't for that sweet synthetic note. If they could have just used a more expensive ingredient for that and upped the price then this would be a really great fragrance. If you are in high school or Jr. High then this will be a stellar pick. I can see this one being very popular amongst the younger crowd.

I was expecting a somewhat blue scent based on the bottle, mostly pick up sweetnes from the Mandarin, Suede with some Sage in the background. Would be better without the same sweet element all Diesel fragrances share. Decent longevity and sillage.

It starts with an light, airy and fresher Ombré Leather type of leather note. It settles down to a fresh, darker and more mature version of the original.

Decent cologne for younger guys. Not very long lasting on my skin, but still a good casual fragrance.

I’ve smelled this before... in other words, very ordinary and not distinctive at all 🤷♂️. It lacks sweetness for those who enjoy it 🍬🚫, as it leans more herbal and aromatic 🌿🌾.

Ambery, mossy, green, leathery. Not very strong, I could barely smell it on the blotter or myself.

This fragrance is actually really really good. I was given a sample for free and ended up buying a bottle. This fragrance shines in the air and getting wiffs of it. If you put your nose next to it, it will still smell nice but slightly synthetic. In the air, it might be one of the best things I have smelled and I have tried over 300 fragrances from cheap to very expensive. It's not generic but still mass appealing. It's similar to other fragrances but still unique. It's in the bubble gum fragrance family like INVICTUS and born in roma but miles ahead of them. The citrus, coriander, and suade combo is so good. It's not gourmandy but delicious. This is definitely a club abd night in the town fragrance. Can be worn up and worn down. Might be cloying in high heat though. I think a master perfumer had to create this one. I think is blind buy safe if your looking for a nice easy going fragrance that's not artistic but still unique. Its last a pretty long time but your nose might go nose blind after the first hour. Overall a solid 9/10.

Opening: Slightly fuzzy, shower-gel fresh, smells a bit like a drug store fragrance. This is the least interesting part of the fragrance, smells kind of generic and even cheap. Mid: Some sweetness starts to appear but the rough freshness is still there. Still smells generic. Drydown: The fragrances smoothes out and the sweetness becomes more creamy. It finally smells good to my nose. It takes about 30 minutes to get to this point. Performace: Fairly weak, after the first 30 minutes or so it is mostly a skin scent. Overall it reminds me the most of drug store fragrances like Beckham Beyond in the early phases and then it morphs into more of a Valentino Born In Roma or Invictus Platinum vibe (it has a bitter sweetness that reminds me of the absinthe accord in Invictus Platinum). Not worth buying or really even sampling in my opinion. If you buy a random fragrance in Zara you will probably get something that smells better, has better performance and will cost you less money too.

Sexy, synthetic and mild! The leather notes are definitely there but there's no projection and minimal sillage. What's left after the seduction is cheap materials clearly used as it's almost axe like. You'd have to almost wanna get it to get the initial top notes. I get Tommy True Star vibes. A scroll here revealed lemon and leathery notes are shared between them, so maybe that's it.

If you like the original, think of this as, the original is teenager, and this one is the adult version of it, For 80s born generation, whoever loved the original, You'll love this one with your current ages indeed, Performance is like the original, moderate or little more.

Beautiful, beautiful reimagining on the original. The Gourmand + suede accord is very nice, but I miss the powdery violet + amber combo of the original.

Who are these touchless virgins who give shit votes on fragrances before anyone's even smelled them? What a weird, pathetic way to spend one's time.

I really like the Extreme version of diesel only the brave (2017 released). I hope this flanker will be similar to it.
