Spirit Of The Brave

Loved Diesel OTB since basically when it came out. Hadn't had any in a long time, and went to buy a bottle, and found this. Got it, and was impressed. It doesn't last overly long, but if you get liberal, it'll go for a decent night at work. I just picked up the intense version and await its arrival, as my EDT ran out a few months back, and I found myself wanting more, and wanted one that would be maybe a little stronger so we shall see how the EDP goes. It reminds me slightly of Abercrombie Fierce in a weird way, but with a whole lot of different things going on. It has that kind of fresh masculine thing, but with a touch of something kind of natural or woody I guess. After reading the notes, I guess that makes a little more sense seeing the fir and cypress. Probably won't ever own another bottle of the EDT, but I loved the one I had.

one of the most unique colognes i have ever worn in my lifetime. i'm enthralled by it's obscure scent profile. it's spicy, but a tame spice. not like spicebomb which goes a bit overboard with the spices in my opinion. it's a softer level of spiciness. a spicy fragrance that can be worn all year round. it's very woody and outdoorsy smelling. it's earthy, but not in a gross way. a subtle earthiness. it's a very masculine scent, but one that really stands out from all the other men's fragrances. if you wanna smell different in a good way, this is the one you go for. the only criticism i have of it is it doesn't have the best longevity. only lasts about 4 hours at most. but other than that, it's fantastic

I got a tester of this nice perfume, which I of cause will give to my son (21). Yes, many negative comments, and I don't understand why, because it smells very good in my nose and very, very good on my skin :)) First I get the bergamot, than the tonka and last the Galbanum, which I love! It smells fresh and soft and soapy, and I would be happy if I had a hubby and he would wear this nice masculine scent ;))

I don't get any similarity to only the brave tattoo. I actually really like this, yes people will say it's generic etc but guess what.... It smells good & that's what we all want, a good smelling fragrance! I've been wearing it in 29c heat & it's holding up very well, I think it's for all seasons though.

DON'T BELIEVE THE HATE!!! This is one of the best fragrances out there. If you like Dior Sauvage, Versace Dylan Blue, Polo Blue, Chanel Bleu this fragrance will be your favourite too.

Spirit Of The Brave starts out smelling exactly like pine tar. It's a heavy conifer aroma font and center, very green and resinous. Thankfully it doesn't cross the line into cleaning products like most conifer based fragrances. As the initial phase fades out it moves into a bodywash/typical men's green citrus scent, I'd say almost a sporty style fragrance accord with light forest notes. The only downside is it doesn't last long. I sprayed three times on a shirt and after about 45 minutes it was fading fast so I sprayed two more times and that helped it last about 3 hours maybe. It had decent projection for that few hours though before fading away to the point I can only smell it if I put my shirt to my nose. This appears to be a common thing with Diesel's "The Brave" line. The scents are great but the performance is mediocre. Probably best used in warm weather or while working out to help boost the performance a tad more.

After receiving a sample and going out and buying this, I was really shocked about the amount if negativity around this fragrance. However, after about 3 weeks it owning it I am really struggling to fall in love with it. The performance is very poor. 4 hours after applying I can barely smell it. It opens musky, woody and fresh and dries down to what seems like an almost sweeter light vanilla on my skin. The trouble with this one as I said is that its such a poor performer, yet it sells for a similar price point to some of the luxury fragrances. If it was about 1/3 of the price then it would be a really good addition to the collection. Its a good post gym/shower freshness. I have been using it during the day for errands and even the office.

It ́s a solid scent. Definitely worth to try it, probably you would be surprised. It belong definitely to top 30% of the fragrance. Although the performance is moderate. I bought this before I read the reviews here and I am glad about that, otherwise I would not own it. I enjoy this scent. And the bottle is not boring like the most of the mans fragrances. But it ́s quit interesting how people get influenced by brands, I can ́t explain so much negative feedback. Can ́t understand "hate" or "dislike" The only reason I see is the price. I get it for under 40€ for 125ml. for the full price I would choose Yves, Armani or Dolge. Solid scent but it ́s not same league as the top brands.

Plague and pestilence is upon us! The sea will boil, swarms of locusts, and all that biblical shit, The ground opening up and releasing daemons into our mortal realm you know? All that. Why?? Because there's a Diesel fragrance that I actually like!!!! (Well think is passable) Well more accurately an 'OTB' line because they had those milk carton ones back in the day which were pretty good. In any case I've hated the rest with exception of this and maybe that camo one from a few years ago? This has a similar character actually, fruity opening, into a woody musk with touches of warmth. It's not great but It's alright, I was pretty shocked.

Don't know why people seem to dislike this so much. The guy who said it's similar to Coach for men is right. I can also smell the original OTB in there. It's woody and a little sweet. Simple but gets the job done. I don't get a lot of pine scent (or any really). Performance is average (need to test more to be sure), but, if you're concerned about it not being strong enough, you can get a 4.2 oz. for less than $35 on discounters and spray heavy. It's well worth it at that price. An easy wear that smells good and would work for many occasions.

Nothing special... (But still amazing) It's nothing special, it smells like many other fragrances but better. It lasts about 3-4 hours in my experience. What is such a nice thing about this fragrance is that it's so inoffensive, and you can wear it everyday of the week and any time of the day. Nothing but compliments. Price 9/10 AMAZING !!! Age group 14-25 in my opinion. Perfomance 5/10 Smell 7/10 considering the other factors. All around (8/10) I like it !!!

This smells 30% Sauvage and 70% Allure Home Sport Eau Extreme and littel by little it will going to have more Sauvage than Allure Homme Sport. Don ́t belive the hate this is a very good fragance but bad performance unfortunatly.

Solid like for me. Out of the 40 something frags I have this doesn't smell similar to any. Not very exciting or mind blowing but it does smell good. Women around me agree. All in all, not a bad scent. Just not the best.

Such as easy scent to wear. To be honest, I usually wear this when I'm going to the gym... its not a crazy performer but a pleasant scent.

If you love the smell of fresh gasoline out of the pump and pine forests, you'll love this one too, very safe blind buy

Pass on this one, if you loath synthetic fruity fragrances. Read on if you are okay or on the fence about it. Here is why: the beginning is a bit harsh, but not unbearable if you spray lightly. It developed a slightly soapy vibe on my skin that calms the fruityness. The green elements harmonize with the synthetic citrus to pull you out of it, and then you land on a tonka/labdanum base that feels like the creamy bottom half of a vanilla note with a touch of wood. So, all in all, it is well rounded. Some of the cheap ingredients and the blending could be improved, but at this price you are getting a nice “take on the day” or “go out and mix it up” kind of cologne. If I were in the 15 - 25 age range, and not opposed to the synthetic fruityness, then I would consider this one. I did detect a bit of something like Eros in this fragrance, but if that is what you are after then just go with the best of the best, Eros. Although, steer clear, if you are sensitive to fragrances as this could be allergy inducing. .

How an earth the score is so low? Diesel scents are for young folks so I guess the hate is from boomers. I don't love it but I like it. Fresh and spicy. 8/10 Pretty much same feelings like Gsidedgdb and Mark007

Offensive scent but dried down to a good freshie, good for running errands and going to the gym. Can be nauseating.

Its very very harsh. But decent for the gym and errands.

First Pass - Astringent. Muddled. Cleaning Solvent. 1 Hour Later - Strong citrus now, slightly sour, slightly fresh 2 Hours Later - Very confused. Is this the same cologne? Some greens and an earthy powder. None of the previous notes Overall - Bark is louder than the bite. This cologne seems to go out of its way to be off-putting. From the garish, impractical bottle to the aggressive, chemical opening, I thought I was in for a rough ride. However, If you can look past the outlandish packaging, and try not to breathe for the first couple hours, you may actually enjoy where you end up. Not bad all in all, but the destination wasn’t worth the journey. ***Scents, like tastes, are subjective. Wear what you like***

Yuck, dang you Diesel and your lookalike bottles and names. Thought the brave was actually wild, the one I thought I recollected with a bold esque name. Nope. Also, thought it maybe it was tattoo(a name I forgot but black glass I recalled) and nope. This is cheap trash, as boring, forgettable and similar as the first. Only plus was the cool black knuckle with a wildcat on it(thus again why I thought it to be wild, plus since i didn't see the glass in front of me/it was boxed). Yuck, a ripoff too...$45.99 for 30ml...you def will regret this, but at least I won't have to suffer with a larger bottle!

From the almost 300 frags I own, this mostly resembles a drier Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve, but way more synthetic, way more generic, way more boring. And Atlantiqve isn't the most exciting to begin with, so you can imagine how generic this smells. The only suitable scenario I'd approve this on is being dumb reach freshie for a teenager on a budget. Regretful blind buy for me, will be looking to gift it or something. Has nothing to do with any of the frags currently displayed on the "reminds me of". Spirit of the brave intense is a lot better.

Okay. peeple might disagree, but i have to admit im glad im not wearing this. 1- no creativity 2- repetitive 3- person who would wear this is cloning the hell out of everybody 4- when wearing this you could easily tell the person is part of a social hierarchy that has no ideas about fragrances. 5- i care not about the bottle, i used to like diesel clothes but this fragrance is a Low low point. 6- leave the fragrance world and stick to clothing. I'm happy to be challenged on my feedback, i easily doubt it because i'm telling the truth.

I was at a Superdrug in London and I was offered to try it at the balcony. I ended up very disappointed specifically because I love the original version. Then I noticed Neymar was chosen for this campaign and as a Brazilian I couldn't stop laughing because all of the sudden it was clear to me why this fragrance didn't impress me at all.

Scent is super synthetic and can barely smell it, the projection and longevity on this is none existent, the bottle just looks awesome. 1.5/10

Sweet and dark. Light freshness. Also generic. There's something, a hint or trace, of the original OTB. I hadn't smelled OTB many years, but when I smelled this it took me back to the days when I would wear it. It brought that nostalgia. The DNA is there. It's not blatant, though. From this I get a heady labdanum from the beginning almost. I barely get any citrus, and I know bergamot as nowadays I wear bergamot EO in ambroxan. I don't get in-your-face bergamot, I get just a light bit of citrus. Then sweet tonka throughout. Then a generic fragrance counter dry down. Long lasting enough. I still smell on my clothes the day after. Wouldn't buy, got it as a gift, but will wear. If it's cheap, sure.

Actual cancer in a bottle. The horrible stench of tar combined with cheap chemicals makes this an absolute banger of a horrible fragrance. 2/10 on a good day, -3/10 on a normal day. Buy this if you want to create headaches for everyone near you. This only works if you can stand the first hour of absolute pain, to then get to the greener part of the grass. Not worth it at all

Tested this on my right wrist today at Kohls. Didn't think much of it at first spray, but throughout the day I kept smelling whiffs of something pleasant. It turned out to be this cologne. I can still smell subtle hints of it now, after 5 hours. Seems like a safe, approachable, but masculine fragrance. I would not mind getting a bottle of this at all.

From the opening it smells similar to Coach for men. It's really nice, miserable performance tho. I hit myself with 10 sprays and it's already faint 30 mins later. Inexcusable when companies make fragrances that perform so badly for the prices they charge.

It's OK. Citrus and some herbs on top of a generic 'one million' base. Not really very unique. I'm smelling a sample right now and think that it's OK but I would not buy it personally, there's a lot more interesting frags out there..

I am not sure why this fragrance is getting so much hate. It is really a good smelling fragrance... The only thing is the longevity which is about +-4 hours on your skin but woman really like it!

Reminds me a lot of OTB Tattoo. Kind nice but not any spectacular. You can try it. Decent regarding the performances. At least, the bottle is gorgeous.

The best thing about this fragrance is that it’s short lived so you don’t have to smell this cheap synthetic headache inducing mess for very long.

first hour is a bad liquorice smell. once it dries down it smells like pine needles mixed with some sort of chemical cleaning agent like chlorine

All these ultra commercial fragrances are so boring. For teens who don't have perfume's culture. Shower gel vibes with sweet notes. 😑
