Addict Purple Glow Eau De Parfum

I love this one! It reminds me of my childhood Yves Rochers Framboise perfume from 1999. Its the same rosy raspberry note. While I always questioned if it really smelled like real raspberries or not, its so nostalgic that I couldnt resist it! Additionally, sugary violets mingled with the raspberry note harmoniously. I couldnt really detect the iris note but that means it worked well with the other notes to not stand out too much. The final hours carry a sweet musky vanilla thats perfect for winding down the day. Over all, its not complex, but its a fun and sweet scent. I wouldnt recommend for summer and hot weather, its pretty sweet and might feel a bit heavy even though its not a strong perfume. Its a bit too expensive for the scent though, its giving the vibes of a celebrity perfume, but I guess one is paying for the Dior brand itself here... But over all, I am happy I got it. I have missed a good raspberry scent from my collection.

Sweet creamy candies, berries, with powder and iris. A delicate sweetness that does not feel childish. The concept is simple but the execution is high quality. Very pleasant to wear. I feel like this line of perfumes is often criticized by people who are really into perfumery and understand it well, because it may seem too simple to them, but to me it seems they were never meant to be super complex or deep compositions. They are simple cute and enjoyable fragrances for everyday users, especially young girls who just want to smell nice and charming. It is created with modern trends in mind. To me it is similar to Kurky but more powdery, and to La Vie Est Belle Elixir but much less sweet.

Okay! This is actually very good. The iris is the most prominent note on my skin — and it’s a dry, niche-smelling, almost wheaty iris, that is spellbinding with the powdered sugar and musk. I feel like FK is riffing on what he started with Kurky — which I also think was underrated — in that he’s playing with spun sugar fruits and musk. I see the similarities with Celeste, Mallow and Insolence, but those are densely powdered, whereas this is ethereal and diffuse. I personally find this quite a departure for a designer brand. My partner said he thought it smelled pleasant and unusual. I think it’s lovely.

A lovely candied violet scent, sweet but lightweight, very airy. The performance is quite good for what it is, sillage is medium to strong for about 6 hours, but I can still faintly smell it after 8 or more. Violet is one of my favorite notes and I have been disappointed in the past years in terms of new releases amongst all the discontinuations. So happy to have found this, I tried it because I love the original Addict but I didn't have high hopes as I almost never like a flanker if I like the original. The entire Glow collection has nothing to do with the original Addict, so there's that.

Of course this masterpiece had to be done by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. This is the perfume I’ve been searching for my entire life: Powdery candied violet, whimsical and airy. This is the true smell of a fairy, it’s dusty, it’s sweet but not too sweet, it’s powdery but not in a vintage way like Insolence and it’s a bit tart. I thought Mallow was my perfect candied violet whimsical perfume but this one might be the winner. I still love Mallow but this one is more tart and airy. Cons: not the strongest projection or lasting but lately I much prefer that, strong perfumes give me a headache

watermelon sour patch kids!! this scent makes my mouth water. i was searching for a gourmand-adjacent perfume for summer and this one fits the bill. it's a lovely, ethereal, whimsical, feminine scent. like other commenters said, this is has absolutely no original dior addict DNA at all but i don't mind. reminds me a bit of lolita lempicka mpp or snif swede tooth. however i refuse to pay full price for this and will be purchasing once the wholesale sites get their hands on it.

this is so nice! the opening has punchy, raspberry sweetness but without that sickly, sugary aspect. i do get a touch of rubber as it settles but it thankfully vanishes pretty quickly, and the dry down is a lovely and creamy. it's still packing the same burst of fruitiness from the opening but mellows into a really comforting scent. for me it lasts all day. gorgeous!

This is a more girly-feminine and wearable version of Insolence. It's a very pleasant candied violet scent with a fresh fruity note that's not sickly or headache inducing. The iris smells fresh and light. After about 4 hours a soft milky vanilla note appears. Lasts about 6-7 hours with moderate silage. I hope this isn't limited edition...

Out of the three that came out, this one's my favourite. It's soft but still juicy and elegant! It lasts about 7 hours on my skin which is a huge plus! It's a very mellow sugary, flower scent that's divine. The price is pretty okay, more accessible to the masses despite being coming from a designer brand.

This is a one dimensional fragrance that last. And i love it for it💜 No heavy basenote suprise here. Just a fruity and dry candied violet all the way. Extremely pleasing to wear as a clean floral everyday scent. Do not mistake this for body spray. It's simple and elegant, not simple and cheap.

What a beautiful, modern, fresh violet. To me this is the best violet! I purchased it and I can’t stop sniffing myself. Not too woody, pungent, screechy , heavy musk or oud! Just perfect beautiful violet ! 💜

The ultimate fairy fragrance for me, it is like a ultra posh version of BBW Butterfly. If you love raspberry + iris = this is one of the BEST out there.

This smell reminds me of the candied violet flowers that I used to have from Laduree. It brings back memories, I really like this one

ive sampled this perfume a few times now. honestly i like it. the opening smells like sour candy and it dries down into a raspberry swedish fish smell. its sweet and simple. the packaging is cute, a little lightweight but thats okay. i really like that theres a bit of a sour candy edge to it which is more my speed than a lot of the other gourmands in the store. after hour two my friend and i picked up an almond smell, so i was completely shocked to find that theres no almond here lol. overall i think this fragrance is sweet and nice and i could see myself picking up a travel size (if they even make a travel size, i didnt see any in store) i wouldnt say this is the luxurious perfume that people seem to want from dior. i notice a lot of comments online asking for a new poison flanker and i see a lot of interest in the j’adore line. if those two lines are your jam then i think you should skip addict purple glow. or really any of the flankers that just released. it wont be what you want. also id say to skip this one if you already have an iris fragrance you like edit: now that ive given this fragrance more thought i think it should be compared to glossier you. if i were still working as a barber this is a scent that i would absolutely buy. it smells pleasant and sits close to the skin, its not going to be cloying or irritating for a client. i could also see wearing this fragrance on an airplane or to school because its so inoffensive and doesnt project much but still smells nice. however, a 1.7 oz bottle of glossier you costs $82 usd, but a 1.7 bottle of dior additct purple glow costs $120 usd. this is an insane price for such an intimate fragrance.

I definitely don’t hate it, it might just be me personally, but I wish there was “more” to it, not to say simplistic scents are a bad thing. It absolutely smells like dusty sweet tart candy. I can absolutely see this scent working on a bubbly librarian, someone older but is an absolute joy to be around. There’s not much more to it than powdery candy. If I had all the money in the world I would purchase this to layer, I tried it in store today and it does have an extremely harsh alcohol scent for the first bit, but wearing it out it stays a very true sweet powder scent. It’s not overwhelming but I definitely did notice it throughout the day. I love a good powder scent, but once again for my personal taste, I like darker juicer scents and this just seemed incomplete to me. I also enjoy smelling like a sugar headache though so what do I know. Inoffensive and easily enjoyable for anyone in your life who does collect perfumes, as I really feel like this is meant to be layered the way Demeter fragrances are, as it truly is a very well done powder, just very once dimensional.

Creamy milky vanilla meets bonbon candy. A touch powdery, but mostly playful, creamy and sweet, perhaps a little tangy, yet rich and musky in a good way. Candied florals (mainly violets I guess, and I rather enjoy them here which is a surprise as normally I am not a fan of them in a perfume) are a nice small attribute and not overpowering the whole experience. Really similar vibe to Kurky, which I enjoy too. It is liked Kurky with amped up sweet fruity, slightly tangy tone, with a splash of creamy milky Dirty Milk or Bianco Latte or simply condensed milk.

I got very excited when I sprayed the sample. It reminded me of the wonderful discontinued Chloe Love which I miss greatly. Sadly it disappeared like a ghost within half an hour. It's such a shame, if it lasted longer I would definitely have bought a full bottle. Dior has a cheek releasing three fragrances with such poor longevity. The strongest one is the peach glow, which lasts about ten minutes than the other two and smells foul. The rose one is nice but barely discernable even when first sprayed. What a joke.

Instantly purchased this for the Iris note! The opening on this is like berry shampoo to me, which I love. This is what Alice in Wonderland smells like. A very powdered raspberry, very cosmetic. The atomiser feels crunchy? She’s no different to the recent Lush Glinda body spray (Lush absolutely lasts longer too). I’ll keep this for layering but it’s not a safe blind buy- I’d say save your money for the masterpiece Iris frags like Insolence.

Purple glow is the best of the bunch. This is like a insolence light. If you can't take insolence and think it is too strong, This is a good alternative. Office safe. Much more grown up than the other two in my opinion in this line. I already own insolence so this isn't necessary for my collection. Again, If you think insolence is much too strong and powerful this would be a good alternative for you.

I smelled this today at ulta and I was severely disappointed. Out of all the new ones, this one's the most special one that I could see being Dior addict like in a way. It is super sweet and you can definitely smell the candied flowers and I don't know, it's pretty basic, though, like it. Smells nice, but it's nothing special.

Surprised that this ended up being my favorite of the bunch by a mile. A very candied raspberry scent that smells reminiscent of some sugary candy I can't recall. It's very sweet with good projection, as well as staying power (4+ hours on the skin). Not heavy on the florals for sure through nor is it powdery to my nose.

It's nice, but I don't think this smells like iris and I've smelled iris flowers. It smells like parma violets and powdered doughnuts. UPDATE: This unfortunately does not last long at all. In fact, it's probably on par with the original Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter in terms of longevity if I remember correctly

Purple glow is the only one that I think people will smell on you of the 3. It still isn’t strong, but it isn’t a skin scent like the other two. It instantly reminded me of Palatine by PDM. This is the most mature of the 3 and as it dries down the iris scent becomes stronger. I like it, but not wowed.

Raspberry violet hairspray. I really like it. Lasted around 5-6 hours. Kinda reminded me of Hilde Soliani's Fragola Salata in the first 5 minutes. Ended up getting a FB at duty free, I'm very happy with it. It's a perfect sweet candy violet scent for summer.

The best of the three. The candied flowers, sugar and iris smell really comes out like imagine a princess' tea party full of candy and sweets. It smells like that. It was the long lasting of three Glows for me. I really enjoyed it but it is overpriced.

It initially smells like the most delicious candied violets. Once it settles on the skin, the iris becomes incredibly waxy. It doesn’t necessarily smell bad at that stage, but the lovely opening is gone. Still, it’s definitely my favorite of the bunch.

This is nice - I don't feel like it will last long though? Maybe the season - it's way too cold here for this I think. I sniffed and really liked - but I think I may re visit it in the spring, and maybe grab it then :)

I won’t say it’s bad, it’s just unexpected. The opening has a weird medicinal fruity cough syrup aspect, that dries down into raspberry candy with hints of florals. And it stays like that the rest of the scent.

This is a very great fragrance. Pretty much smells like sweet candy. Don’t understand the hate. I also don’t smell similarities to la vie est belle. My girlfriend and I love it.

This smells better than the peach one. First time when I tested I really liked this scent.

I finally got my hands on Dior Addict's new additions to the collection and I have to say this purple one is the more pleasant. All three are a very childish and synthetic take on their mother, even the bottles feel extremely cheap, which is perfectly in line with everything else Dior has been pushing out lately. Great! But putting my rant aside, all three new Addicts begin loud, sugary and plastic-y like a mix of children's scented makeup and a candy shop, just to tone down 5 minutes after and develop into a generic smell of powdered sugar, mostly, and whatever other main note they feature (Peach, Rose and... Iris?). Purple Glow is certainly the one trying to act more mature and the only one I liked, it's clean and lipsticky but still too loud and cloying for my taste, plus it smells nothing of candied violets which was incredibly disappointing (Insolence? Who is she?) More props to you if you like them and know how to wear them, at least they're not basic clean skin scents and I even consider them to be quite original, but I still think it's just overpriced candy for Dior's new audience of preteens.

On the paper test strip it smelled delightfully feminine and daintily sweet, exactly like the fancy confectionery candied flowers the description of the fragrance promised. On my skin it started out as just okay, it didn't wow me, but worse it immediately dried down into an unimpressive nothing. Not unpleasant but it felt like wearing VS body mist like when I was in high school: no staying power with little complexity or intrigue. It's sweet and nice and doesn't last.

Unlike the peach glow this one actually smells like what it is supposed to. It has a pleasant, creamy, raspberry scent to start, quickly followed by floral notes. It's not unpleasant but it's giving body spray when I was a teen, not expensive perfume. My main issue with it is that it does not last. Like, at all. An hour after spraying wrists, throat and top it was gone. Save your cash and buy a raspberry body spray.

I guess this is one of the better iris fragrances I have smelled but I'm not the biggest fan of the iris note. Especially not the super powdery, lipticky smelling ones. This one, even though the iris is very strong in the opening, is not lipsticky. It soon dries down to a sweet, more generic floral scent, which is quite pleasant. Candied flowers sounds about right.

Right after spraying, the candy-sweet violet is overwhelming, and that’s it. There’s no balance, no subtlety, nothing to make it interesting - in short, it’s a one-note sugar explosion. It doesn’t smell bad, of course, but given the price and compared with other violet fragrances that are more harmonious and pleasant, it’s a real disappointment.

I can’t say I am impressed with that perfume, I get a blast of tart raspberry at first, but the drydown is very subtle, I can hardly detect the iris and vanilla..glad I got a 25 ml ..I expected more of Kurkdjian...maybe for a young girl or on a hot day, I just got it, so will give it time, but so far it is rather blah to my nose .

Sampled: this smells like those Olly melatonin gummies that I used to eat (the blackberry ones, I think). It really does smells like a gummy, it has that photorealistic starchy-waxy-ness, that gummy-rubber to it. Fun.

It didn’t honestly smell like much, I couldn’t pinpoint any of the actual notes within this perfume, really. None of them truly came through, so although it wasn’t bad per se, to me it just smelled... bland.

Much and much better than Rosy and Peachy. Pretty wearable, but not in the summer for hot skin. It holds even after the shower.

Definitely gives off soapy vibes with the dry down of iris and powdered sugar. Not unpleasant but also not magnetic either.

This smells almost exactly like Drumsticks lollies. Nice but doesn't have that Dior luxury aspect.

This is a weak perfume that is way overpriced.

I am disappointed with the quality of this Dior fragrance. It does not smell bad, especially if you enjoy sweet scents and do not get headaches from sugary perfumes. However, the real problem is that this offers body spray quality in a perfume bottle with a high price tag. A perfume should have more complexity than this. This scent is filled with sugary, candy-like notes, which might work for a body spray. For a perfume, there is nothing that makes it special, and the longevity is very poor. There are similarities between this and La Vie Est Belle Elixir, but Lancôme actually delivers a fragrance with complexity. While the Lancôme version might also be overly sweet for some, it is much more long-lasting and projects better. In contrast, the Dior fragrance is lighter and just smells sugary candied. There is not enough justification for the brand to charge so much just for the bottle and the logo. If this were a body spray sold at half the cost, I would say it is a nice option for people who like sweet, powdery smells. Otherwise, this feels like a rip-off from Dior.

I tested this, but didn't buy a bottle. The scent is quite strong to me, and immediately headache inducing. I find it artificial and cloying, like smelling purple candy, but not in a pleasant way. Its sweetness extends far past the point of a natural, authentic, or organic scent. In all fairness, it's not like the notes are misleading. The candied flower, raspberry, and powdered sugar notes definitely combine to smell exactly like a purple slushie or sour patch kid; maybe bigger fans of candy scents wouldn't be as turned off by this as me. After a couple hours, once the top notes have dissipated and the base note becomes more apparent, it becomes less headache inducing. Or a few hours is the length of time it takes my senses to block this out. If I walked past a person wearing this, I would think it was lovely. But I wouldn't want to be around it for any longer than a passing glance, because I'd develop a headache. Certainly, I would not want to get this on my clothes.

Raspberry and candied violets! little iris, little sweetness. I do not get vanilla but I get crystalized sugar. It does remember of La Vie est Belle L'Elixir but very diluted...like if you put 3 drops of LVEB L'Elixir in a cup of water...I also see similarities with Insolence but only the candied violet note. It is nice but too much overpriced and it has something harsh. The drydown reveals a harsh aromachemical. Ambroxan? I don't know... something is giving a harsh nose burning feeling in the drydown and that is just such a let down! So far I had not felt harsh aromachemicals in Dior scents. Whatever. I think this is nice and cute until that ugly note comes in the drydown.
