Aqua Fahrenheit

Thought a lot before writing my review, this perfume is almost alive, it grows on you by time, and isn't stable enough to make a judgement after the first couple of usages. It clearly is a much lighter option for those who are still in love with the classic Fahrenheit, but can't find convenient outings to wear it, this is clearly for them. The astonishing past is that it is really a much lighter/citrusy/morning version of the original, the first time i wore it, i was asked by a friend if this is Fahrenheit the original, when i mentioned it is a new Aqua version, he said yes, it seems now lighter, after i told him. This shares the same core notes of the original, much lighter/citrusy opening, Lemon/mandarin/mint and violet could be smelled along with a smoky note, after an hour the perfume tends to shift rapidly into a much closer version to the original but with a crispier/sharper smell, the original was subtle and smooth, this is not. After 5-6 hours most of the citrusy notes fade away, a little bit of grapefruit is still there but it turns a little bitter, leather (sharp) notes appear along with a hint of vetiver, all welded together by Gasoline note that appears clearly in this phase, very sharp and crispy note that seems very close to burning your nostrils if you smell it hard. can be a little intoxicating. There is also traces of crisp oud notes, discreet though 7-8 hours, something unexpected happens, the gasoline, vetiver, bitter notes fade away leaving traces of a sweet note that i cannot interpret what it is or where it came from, it is the very last phase of dry down, the note seems odd to the perfume and not detected in any of the other phases. i have to add also, that there is a strong note of cucumber in the opening. The first couple of times notes were not very clear, neither the silage of the perfume, the third time i could tell that the longevity and silage are perfect. Many will love this, i bought it and love it, although i believe something better could be done with the blending, i am not a trained nose, i might be wrong after all. Also, i have to say that the higher the temperature the more bitter and gasolinish it becomes, it also projects better in higher temperatures Recommendation: try on skin, not on paper, it reacts differently with skin, temperature as well changes the notes a dramatically. Honestly "Fire meets water" is the perfect exact explanation of this perfume, Aquatic while pumps heat. Not to be missed by any citrus notes lover or those who worship the original. great, just great! aqua fahrenheit is a special blend, in the 2022 it smells even more unique and charming. the original dna is here but toned down for the warm seasons, the soft leather-gasoline combo is mixed with a fantastic, natural grapefruit. the opening is very fresh and fruity, then became more similar to the og. the quality of the ingredients is very clear, 100% dior!like the marketing said at that time, fire meets cold in a unique, warm and refreshing blend. most likely the best flanker of the og, which is the best but the aqua version is the right choice when u want to bring the personality of the origninal edt into the warm days of the year. aqua fahrenheit is not super mass-appealing but many people will appreciate it. if u love the og u can blind buy it, if u think the original edt is too much the aqua version is definitely more gentle and easy to wear. like i said before, this is for spring and summer, for casual and formal situations but aqua fahrenheit is quite unique, so it can be good for special occasions. the performance is moderate, u think it's gone but it is still with u during the day. the projection is very good in the first 1-1.5 hour. in the end, i want to let u know a true story: after a "love meeting" with a girl, the day after she told me"i can still smell your lovely fragrance on me..." sadly discontinued but u can still find it in the stores if u look around, so dont spend crazy money on internet. aqua fahreneit è un profumo estivo fantastico, unico e raffinato. è l'originale diluito con un fantastico pompelmo. cè anche del mandarino, menta ecc..perfetto per trasportare la decisa personalità dell'originale anche nelle stagioni calde. riguardo al fatto che possa piacere e alla performance, una ragazza il giorno dopo disse "lo sento ancora addosso, ti penso...". con questo ho detto tutto. scent-9 longevity-7,5 sillage-7,5 uniqueness-8,5 versatility-8 presentation-8,5 compliment factor-8,5 back up bottle? yes my vote-9 in one word- personality alternative- the original fahrenheit edt and the cologne version.

Finally, this 2010s gem is in my possession! I've wanted it for a few years now since I really started to get into this hobby, but it's always been overpriced. It still was, but I found a halfway decent price for it and I decided to go for it, and while it's certainly not worth what I paid objectively, but the joy that the scent of this stuff gives me is what I'm here for, and it really is a nice one. It pops off with this beautiful bright opening full of citruses and that signature Fahrenheit violet leaf, before the citruses drop back and the leathery, petrolly Fahrenheit DNA starts to take center stage. It remains aquatic smelling, and the citruses do stay around actually, but they're just much softer by the time it starts to dry down. This is a first impressions so I can't speak to the performance, but this seems like it's going to perform well for a fresh fragrance, I think it'll be a solid 6-8 hours just judging by how it's done in the first hour of me having it on my arm and how the citruses are sticking around in the opening. It's pretty loud for an "aquatic" fragrance too. I find it slightly similar to YSL's L'Homme Libre, but only in bits and pieces, they also are considerably different and I understand why some may not find them similar at all as they have completely different components and this is actually surprisingly a little bit more bubbly and vibrant, and therefore more wearable than Libre. To me, the closest thing to this that I've smelled is easily just the original Fahrenheit and ultimately this is just a brighter, more modern, and more summer friendly take on the OG. I really love it though, can't wait to wear it more this spring and summer. I really, really enjoy this.

For years I passed on Fahrenheit but 4-years ago I tried the iconic scent and immediately liked it, which quickly turned into love, love, love. Thankfully I also tried Aqua and Absolute at the same time so I had no preconceived ideas of how Aqua Fahrenheit should or shouldn't smell. Frankly speaking, I find it to be an awesome Sprint/Summer scent that is perfect for any occasion and can be worn much of the year...summer nights too! It is a great fragrance that isn't overly aquatic. Some folks have complained that Aqua Fahrenheit is nothing like the original version---which is largely true--but that doesn't detract from it being an excellent fragrance. In my opinion, Dior managed to capture the essence of Fahrenheit (I smells the similarity) dressed in Summertime duds that has a bit of a kick and some leather goodness. Moreover, some have complained of longevity issues..well, it's a aquatic/citrus based fragrance (think Summertime) so you're probably not going to get 12+ hours on your skin. However, it lasts a solid 7-hours on my skins, projects fairly well, and has that hint of familiarity that reminds us this is indeed Aqua Fahrenheit. I usually wear a lot of the Creeds and freshies over the summertime so Aqua Fahreneht gives me a viable summertime scent that reminds me (i.e., gentle hints) of Fahrenheit, but doesn't gag me and others in the Summer heat. I feel this one is almost a masterpiece: 4.5 out of 5. Unfortunately for Dior, they discontinued this incredible fragrance, but I did manage to order several backup bottles for the rest of my life since I always want to have AF in my Scent Armory. THE EPITOME OF A MANLY AQUATIC FRAGRANCE!!!

It is a well-executed flanker, with its own identity, but which pays homage to the base from which it came. Great for those who find the original too intense for summer or for everyday use.
