Dior Addict 2

I finally got my nose on this old treasure. I only own the latest version of Dior Addict Eau de Parfum from Christian Dior, so while I was waiting for this bottle to arrive, I read countless reviews. Many people compared it to Versace Bright Crystal and described it as very fresh, so my expectations went in a completely different direction. But the moment I smelled it, I immediately recognized that unmistakable Dior Addict DNA. If you’ve ever experienced the original, there’s no way to miss it. At the beginning I honestly wondered how anyone could find it similar to Bright Crystal — which I already own from Versace. The opening hit me with that familiar Addict heaviness: tonka, almondy warmth, the depth I know so well, accented with just a hint of citrusy sourness. In those first few minutes, I even thought I preferred the original. I caught myself considering reselling it, thinking maybe this flanker just wasn’t for me. But then I sprayed more on my clothes and decided to give it time, curiously watching it evolve. About twenty minutes in, something shifted. Faint echoes of Bright Crystal floated by — not obvious, just a subtle impression. Yet whenever I leaned closer to smell closely, the Addict DNA was still there, anchoring the fragrance. It’s beautifully blended from start to finish, with nothing cheap or hollow about it. I’m fascinated by how the perfumer loosened that dense, almost pure Addict signature and reshaped it into something brighter — a fresh, uplifting, soury-sparkling, joyful cloud of perfume. After thirty minutes, the fragrance revealed its true personality. Almost like a refined, ultra-niche take on Bright Crystal, or maybe a playful, humble attempt by Versace to cologne Dior Addict 2 — haha! From the very first notes, it feels sophisticated. It opens with presence and richness, then slowly softens into a delicate, airy freshness while still maintaining its complexity. Performance-wise, after three hours on clothes and skin, I could still smell it in the air. The fruity notes now dominate, and the original Addict DNA on my skin fades after about two hours, but it’s still worth every penny for the complexity it offers. In the end, I’m genuinely happy I didn’t rush to judge it. I’m grateful I gave it time to speak. Getting this bottle doesn’t just feel like buying a perfume — it feels like holding onto a small, beautiful piece of perfume history.

I collect miniatures of perfumes I’d like to try and recently acquired a 2011 miniature of this. I came across this fragrance on Fragrantica and blind bought a set of Dior miniatures with Addict 2 purely for this fragrance. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED 🥳🥳🥳 Addict 2 is a beautiful fruity/fresh fragrance, the addition of grenadine & lime adds a crispness without being in your face about it as they’re tempered by the pomegranate & watermelon. This is listed as an aquatic & I’d agree with that but it is so well done. There is no sense of laundry detergent & it doesn’t make me nauseous like say D&G’s l’imperatrice 3. I wish Dior hadn’t discontinued this but I guess it wasn’t selling as well as other fragrances of the time, such a shame 💔 I will be keeping an eye out for a larger bottle. EDIT: this almost has a jam like quality to it. EDIT 2: I just bought 2 100ml bottles & 1 20ml bottle THAT’S how much I love this scent. It does not disappoint. It’s fresh, citrusy & not too sweet. Perfect for everyday wear or when you want to smell a little tropical but fresh. This smells how I’d imagine a woman’s version of Versace Man Eau Fraiche (which I adore) to be. EDIT 3: On first spray it does smell a bit like celery thanks to the mix of white florals and citruses I think, but that settles down after about 10 minutes thankfully into this addictive, mouthwatering, soft, jammy, citrus sherbet. I can’t stop sniffing myself.

Winter of 2006 my boyfriend gifted this Addict to me and i was crying from anger ,because i told him,probably 50 times that i want the blue one.Back then there was only on Addict-from 2002 and it was THE perfume.It was THE bomb.When i saw what he bought for me i was sooooooo dissapointed ,because they have nothing in common.I wore it several times,but i have never liked floral-fruty frags and it was with no pleasure.Month after month,summer 2007 i began to wear it everyday and not only i liked it ,but i began to adore it.It was not the ordinary fruity fragrance,there was a classy touch and very feminine vibe in it.I couldn`t get enough of it.During these years perfumes lasted long time and it stayed for days in my hair,even on skin.After that it got discountinued and replaced with many other flankers,which were not the same.I found one,i finished it and now i just look at the picture of it ,with sorrow and sadness in my heart for this long gone time,when i was younger and there were all my favourite perfumes still in production.Now most of them are gone,just like my precious years,just the nice memories and the love stayed.Perfumes nowadays are all the same,with no soul,no longevity,just one big nothing.Designer`s perfumes smell the same,niche perfumes are just more potent version dupes of designers`s perfumes.It is a big luck to find something extraordinary to catch my soul.it is rare ,but happens.

This was my first "real perfume" (aka not a body mist), I asked for it for my 18th birthday and my grandmother bought it for me. I remember how in love with it I was, I used almost the entire bottle and now have no idea where the bottle is, so I ordered a small one on eBay. I was immediately transported back to the summer after high school and first year of college. A nostalgic scent for me. To my nose, I immediately smell the citrus notes, almost to the point of being sour. But once it settles a bit, I smell a mixture of fruits with grapefruit being the most noticeable, with a powdery undertone. I don't really smell any of the floral notes but maybe that's just me. The lasting power leaves much to be desired, as it wears off my wrists in about an hour. I still smell it when I turn or move my head so I guess it lasts longer behind the ears. But no longer than about 2-3 hours on me. I do get the comparison to Versace Bright Crystal, but this is more fruity, where Bright Crystal is more flowery at first then fading into fruity (at least for me). I do love both, but I think I actually prefer BC over Addict 2.

I am a perfume addict and I guess my friends thought it would be funny to buy me a perfume that says addict on it as part of my birthday gifts. I don’t know much about the addict line by Dior and I was not expecting something amazing from this Addict 2. Oh my, I was pleasantly surprised at my first spritz that something about Addict 2 made me smile so brightly. It’s sparkly, bright, fresh and absolutely delightful. I just love it and don’t let anyone pigeon hole this perfume to be for young women only. It makes you feel youthful, energetic and beautiful so yes it has an aura that evokes feeling alive. I really like this perfume and I will gladly get another bottle if I can get it for a decent price. Is it groundbreaking? Nope but a great scent doesn’t always have to completely reinvent the wheel to be appreciated by perfume addicts like me. A big thank you to my friends for introducing me to Dior Addict 2. She will be getting a lot of love this summer for sure. 💛💜💛💜

I love this version of Dior Addict! It's a bright, cirtusy-floral composition that brings smile on my face. This scent describes me in every way.I was hoping to find my signature scent and I never wanted it to be, you know, a pink one. But, I guess I have to live with it! It's nice but somehow it's wild, it's warm but also a little watery. Just a perfect combo. It's a very sexy and feminine scent, on my skin it blossoms into a warm, sweet/sour scent. I love it. It's not sophisticated. Just easy-going, wonderful, heavenly. Something that you want to smell over and over again. The bottle is just wonderful. It's simple but nice, shiny but calm. I hope I'll get my bottle for my birthday, so I can make it my signature finally. I have to agree with the intense version though - Dior should make one! Although I love Addict 2 and the lasting power is good on me, it could be way better - I wouldn't mind if it stayed with me all day and night long:)

I impulse purchased this one recently. Initially I was not besotted with it but not unhappy. Over the past few days I have been growing incresingly more pleased with it. Deffinately a fruity floral but I am getting fresh fruits not too sweet and gentle powdery florals. we are moving into spring and this is a very day appropriate frag for this season. I didnt think the longevity was great but sprayed 4.5 hours ago after showering and it is still going strong. This is a nice casual perfume, suited to the office and general day wear, even a spritz before bedtime is nice. Unoffensive without being boring. I just really think Dior makes fantastic perfumes. the EDT's tend to outlast the EDP of competitors and they just smell better. Worth the extra $$ IMHO.

This is heavenly smell! Very refreshing, crisp, clean and sweet but not over the top. The freshness of flowers and fruits are well blended. Very wearable as everyday special scent. But mostly best during warm season. I could smell some other similarities to this kind of scent, but this one is unique. It has its own character that stands out from the rest. When I want to be at my most feminine mood, I wear this. It is elegant, seductive and is very appealing. Very subtle musky drydown that lingers all day long on my skin. It always gives me a big smile on my face with all the compliments that surrounds me. The pretty pink bottle radiates and uplifts my spirit even by just looking. This is so extraordinary! I really love it!

It is a fragrance with an undeniable carefree summer vibe. It opens with a fresh, citrusy burst, with grapefruit taking centre stage over orange and bergamot. In the hart the fruity notes of pomegranate and pineapple blend beautifully with aquatic lotus and watermelon. At this stage, it reminds me of a day spent by the swimming pool. As it settles, a woody, musky base emerges, with cedar standing out clearly. Longevity on my skin is around three hours, and while the projection is moderate at first, it quickly becomes a more intimate, close-to-the-skin scent. This is a discontinued fragrance that I truly cherish. Do you know this fragrance? If you do, I'd love to hear what you think about it.

after trying it for the third time i wanted to make a review about oh addict 2. addict 2 is fresh, clean a little sweet, elegant and girly, AND most important, i can wear it at 40°C! it worked wonderfully on my skin, first is fruity, citrusy, and after 2 hours it gets a little powdery and more floral, i like how it develops.. im guessin the longevity depends on chemistry cause there are a lot of mixed opinions about it, on me it wasn't extremely long lasting, but it wasn't of 10 minutes as some say.. it was about 5 hours on me, aprox 8 on clothes.. unfortunately it's too expensive for a poor student like me tho :( i'd get if it wasnt so expensive here in mexico

I agree that this perfume must be worn by the right woman because a lot depends on your skin. This perfume for 6 years is my signature scent. It was love from the first smell (I've smelled it on one woman I hardly knew and I thought it smelled like heaven). Addict 2 lasts for hours on my skin and even the next morning my hair smells like it. On me it is not sweet at all (although it is sweet on my friend). I receive a lot of compliments while wearing it. Once a friend of mine asked me what perfume I was wearing and then he has bought it for his wife. But it is completely different scent on her. So my advice is try any fragrance on your skin before buying.

Despite having a test list as long as my arm, and an even longer wishlist, I did repurchase a new 100ml bottle of Addict 2... Call me spineless, but I realised I NEED this one more than any other perfume. It's the perfect match for my skin chemistry. It's so compatible, I delude myself in believing I smell this good naturally and forget that I'm wearing perfume. I wish I had fallen in love with a timeless classic, or at least a niche perfume, but there ya go, it's only a fruity floral. It it the best, though. I think I found a signature perfume at last...

I didnt like that much the original Dior Addict,,, but I love, love , love so much Dior Addict 2. It is very refreshing, clean, fruity- citrusy (actually more fruity than floral). I enjoy It so much in hot summer days. I think this is more suited for young ladies ... Perfect for carefree , fun loving girls who dont want to have that "serious look" or dont want to feel too mature ... Its innofensive, a crowd pleaser... If you like Bright Crystal,,, probably u will like this one too. Only I wished It could last longer

I wanted a summer fragrance ,something fruity but not like candy , and something soft but not boring .Addict 2 is perfect for this purpose . I had tried ages ago and while it was nice back then I was on the signature scent quest so passed it by ,but since then i now realise why just pick one fragrance !!!! .So for a summer daytime fragrance this is really nice . UPDATE ....day two and i have to say while a like this a lot i seem to have to drown myself in this fragrance for it to last longer than a hour .

This fragrance is everything!!!! The original has no match from the top to the dry down it is perfection. Citrusy & boozy opening then the florals & musky without being too sweet. I always got asked what I was wearing. The flanks just never measured up. They would open the same but then the cedar wood note would come up and it would be all you were left with. I hated all the flanks. I still have a have some & a mini that I treasure for as long as I can.

This was the very first designer perfume I fell absolutely in love with. The summer of 2009, the year I graduated high school. I was addicted to this scent. It lasted forever! It was fresh and sweet.. an instant mood lifter. Versace Bright Crystal is definitely similar.. but not quite. Dior Addict 2 had more depth, it made you stop for a moment and just soak in all of the juicy fruits and sexy sandalwood. Really wish they would bring this back.

So, long ago I bought this at Macy's when I had a dime or two. This is what everyone meant "otherworldly". My five year old niece snuck in the room I was staying in (which was her room) for a spritz or two. And so it had the same effect on everybody, this "otherworldly" scent. I think of this scent this way: don't run, fly! And that for me will never be again except in memory. If anyone misses it a lot, Versace Bright Crystal is similar to it!

Strangely I thought I purchased addict Eau fraiche vintage but it was actually this one and I was surprised because I never tested this one back in the days my go to was the edp and still is But this is vintage good stuff Don’t get anything even close to addict 2 for a refreshing sweet long long lasting perfume I only use one spray and I can smell it at the end of the night it’s that good so pleased to have found a bottle on eBay for a steal

This fragrance is so bright, and zesty and fruity - it's the one I reach for most when I want to feel alert and energized. It's quite refreshing. I get a lot of bright citrus followed by sweet and tangy fruit intertwining with soft florals. It's sparkling and fresh, but not overwhelming. It always has a very "girly" vibe to it. Perfect for those summer days when you when you need an extra hop in your step.

It took me a few tries to appreciate this scent. At first the synthetic aspect of the dry down was acrimonious to my nose, but by the third try I began to feel it's beauty. It doesn't smell like anything else to me, not even close. I'm struggling to describe it even now! It's what I imagine a really feminine android might wear, if that makes any sense, like it was created in a lab on another planet.

I wore this perfume throughout spring of '07. it really freshens up the mood. i would definately wear this perfume time and time again. It has all the best ingredients...watermelon, oranges, grapefruits. this is the best dior fragrance! This is HAS got to be my top fragrance so far!!! I could smell the grapefruit scent in it. I love grapefruits. It smells so crispy and spring-ish. I LOVE IT!!!

Dear Francis Kurkdjian, if you are reading this message, I kindly ask you to consider recreating this GEM. I ask you from all women who adored this incredible fragrance from 2005 to 2010. Trust me.... there is nothing close to this. I remember the time when Dior made unique scents... what happened to all houses... all of the perfumes on the market not are not of high quality... i am so sad... and what will cost them to make this beauty again? Forgive me if this review is trivial ....but over summer and after many nights on the town and bbqs this perfume is the best if you are hungover !!!!!There i said it... but if you are feeling a bit under the weather but still want to smell nice but your stomach cant handle your usual ...this is perfect!!!!..maybe even a cure .

Totally in love with it! It's so classy it's in class of it's own. I was wearing it recently and my cousin said "that's lovely perfume, it smells really expensive", and that was said by a bloke who wouldn't notice if i was carrying my head under my arm! I think it's very sophisticated and i can't get enough, it's divine.

I've been testing this one for two months now. I love this fragance. Really fruity on me, the pineapple fits my personality very good. I love fruity fragances so I find it delightful. It's a pity it doesn`t last long... 2 or 3 hours. On clothes I can smell it for like 4 days, but I have a pretty sensitive nose.

The best perfume ever..and i had plenty of them..there is something about this scent, when the right woman wears it. It seems to me that all men are like hypnotized when i wear this. Totally sexy and absolutely my personal winner. And I disagree with Bright Crystal- smells much cheaper and kind of acid to me.

It’s a refreshing light summer scent with aquatic and floral notes... I love how fresh this perfume is, one of my favourites from Dior. I love Addict 2 scent much more than Addict. However, it doesn’t last at all and I won’t be repurchasing once my bottle is over.

This is very pretty. A little on the light side so it does need to be re applied. But there are definitely some occasions that call for something a bit more subtle. I really like the citrus and flowery mix in this. It really mingles together nicely.

This was one of my first signature scents! I haven't smelled it in yeeeears, but I get the same feeling when I wear Delina de Rosee. Has anyone else felt like this? Not an exact scent match, but definitely the same vibes to me.

I miss you Dior Addict 2 OG. I will never forget you. I have tried others but Sinaid OConner said it best. Nothing Compares To You. Bright Crystal wanted to be DA2 but it doesn’t have the high notes and boozy notes of the OG.

My summer go-to fragrance together with Lancaster Sunwater. Yes, it's not strong etc. that's why it's best used during hot days. Versace Bright Crystal dries down similarly but smells a little bit cheapy.

Citrussy, not a lot of watermelon (which I would have loved). It's refreshing during summer, and yes it smells like Bright Crystal by Versace but slightly less sweet, and more wood . Lasting power is OK.

This is the perfect summer fragrance...I'm SOO into heavy perfumes so I find it difficult to find a summer fragrances that's refreshing yet strong...and this one DEFINITELY does the Job...gr8 One.

I love this fragrance, because it just makes me feel HAPPY! It always brings a smile to my face, even when I'm feeling sad. So, in my oppinion it is somewhat of an elixir of happiness :)

Dior Addict 2 is one of the pink pepper pink girly perfumes out there these days. However, the quasi-generic concoction doesn’t really make Addict 2 that generic til forgettable. It certainly have something edge and sharp (in a confident way) which makes it popular. Addict 2 starts with a citrusy/grapefruit-y, pineapple and pepper burst, it’s really uplifting and somehow I would even say it’s kinda unisex. Somehow it is similar to Baby Doll by YSL, but Addict 2 is more clean watery (not the aquatic sports perfume way), and easier on your skin (vs Baby doll has the sour fruit sharpness). Then it just gets lazier in a laid-back cool-powdery way, it’s just all the fruits minus the sour sharpness, which is quite like a lotion’s silage, but it lasts, and comfortable to wear. Addict 2 stays this way for an amazingly long time, and for days on your clothes. Addict 2 doesn’t carry any characteristic from Addict, which could be a good thing for those who don’t like Addict. However, Addict 2 is somewhat too pink and fake diamond-blingbling, to be a serious day scent. It would be nice for a carefree girly girl, or a first perfume for a teen; or a nice inoffensive cologne for really hot summer day when you know you just want something yummy stale-lemonda-strength and refreshing.

I was able to purchase an 80% full Addict 2 for $25 and just could not pass up the opportunity to add this rarity to my collection of Dior Addicts. Charming but not flirtatious, this is an explosive, yet well blended sweet floral that brings me back to childhood summer parties. Very something my aunts or one of their pretty friends would be wearing. Not to outwardly say its generic or dated, but it distinctly reminds me what every perfume wanted to smell like in 2005-2009; and honestly that transportive ability is a big part of what makes this so special. Also special is the staying power. They just dont make EDTs this bold anymore, and it truly speaks to the quality of this product. This could put quite a few modern day EDPs to shame. I do not wear these types of fresh floral frags by any means, and will likely very rarely wear it, but I absolutely have appreciation for this well crafted and potent time travel in a bottle. Is it worth the over $200 people are asking though? Truthfully, I don’t think so, but I believe that premium price comes from the now unattainable quality that went into classic Dior fragrances. For me as a strict gourmand lover, I’d rate this is a fair 7.5/10. 😎👍🏼
