Dior Addict Eau Fraiche 2014

I absolutely LOVE Dior Addict Eau Fraiche, I just wish it lasted a lot longer on my skin I discovered this during a hunt to find my HG grapefruit perfume, I always wanted to sample this but I never could seem to find a tester bottle in any stores (turns out they were indeed there, I just wasn't looking hard enough!) and after finding a tester and trying it out a few times, I decided to purchase a 50ml bottle, added bonus was there was also a promotion on which brought the price down too, patience is a virtue lol Firstly, I love the bottle, I like how its sleek and minimal; it really looks lovely on my shelf, the only criticism I have is that the lid is quite hard to pull off (though, this is an added bonus when travelling) and I also think they should have kept the old integrated lid atomiser, but those are really minor things. The scent itself is really fresh and zesty, quite cooling and uplifting during hot summer days, and really just for general day to day wear as its pretty inoffensive and unlikely to tread on someones toes. The notes (from Dior's site) are: Calabrian bergamot, freesia and lily-of-the-valley and white musks, I know it doesnt mention any grapefruit notes but I can quite clearly detect a strong grapefruit note in this, possibly an effect of the bergamot with the white florals or possibly it is an unlisted note, either way, it makes this fragrance really stand out to me and makes it exceptionally refreshing and I can easily see someone choosing this for their signature fragrance. The downside for me however is the longevity, it isn't super long lasting which is a shame, I can still smell it after about 4 hours but its quite close to the skin and not quite as strong as it is during the first 30-1hr which is a bit of a pity. I'd still repurchase this any day though, it is one of my top 10 perfumes, perfect for the office, day to day wear and the scorching heat of the summer, I just wish it would hang around for a bit longer

I went to Sephora the other day to get Yellow Diamond Intense but bought this instead. I had tried the previous formulation of Eau Fraiche (2012) and was not that impressed. I really loved the original 2004 Addict Eau Fraiche (Thierry Wasser-Love him) which I used up a few Summers ago but it is so hard to find anymore. I don't normally wear Freesia very well but this is a Freesia (perhaps natural?) that I most certainly can wear. It is not screeching at me and making me want to sneeze like the usual synthetic Freesia does. The Lily of the Valley is one of my favorites notes and it certainly is beautiful here. The Calabrian Bergamot is relatively strong and balances the floral notes with an airy almost sweet freshness. The White Musk gives it a soft dimension that is soothing in the dry down. I usually shy away from fragrances with Freesia in them but this one is gorgeous and delightfully wearable. Dior is making so many reformulations that it is almost exhausting to keep up. I know the bottle is different but that is not a problem for me anyway. Don't we take caps off all the time? I have been wearing this 2014 Eau Fraiche the last three days and have been asked several times what I am wearing. Mainly by twenty something ladies. So it has an appeal and that speaks for the fragrance itself. The sillage is strong at first leaving a trail for an hour then it softens for the duration. I put it on in the morning and can smell it on me past dinner. LOVE IT! 10/10

Very beautiful subtle scent. I adore this perfume, I'm on my second bottle. I wear it for family lunches, dinners, birthdays. Sometimes I do not know what to chose as a spring-summer day fragrance. And when I'm tired from loud flowery perfumes in my collection (like air de first VC&Arpels, splendor E Arden etc) my arm impulsively grabs this light refined and subtle eau de toilette. It goes well with my personality. I'm optimistic person and this scent is so optimistic and happy. It reminds me Dior fragrance forever and ever. But freesia is more intense in forever and ever. In Dior eau fraiche freesia is somehow dissimulated by musk and bergamot. The silage is heavy after the first application during an hour then becomes soft and moderate lasting power (about 6h). Love this perfume! It's my rescue scent permitting to feel myself comfortably and bringing me zen attitude. I'm never disappointed and never get tired with it.

My favorite citrus floral fragrance at the moment. A lovely scent, not ground-breaking, but from all the citrusy floral perfumes I've tried lately, this one has never let me down. The bergamot is very present, but no sharpness. Well blended with florals, everything is nice and smooth. I'm not the biggest white florals fan, but I'm won here. The smell reminds me a lot of Versace Bright Crystal, but Dior Addict Eau Fraîche 2014 has a better performance, even if I wish it lasts longer. The projection starts average then go softer after 4-6 hours, I can still sniff it, but it's more closer to skin. When I feel like it I tend to reapply after 4-6 hours. I prefer sweet cozier perfumes in general, but when I want a soft refreshing scent, Addict Eau Fraîche is my no-brainer choice.

This is a beautiful fragrance. Something about it makes me define it as soft and bright. There is a classiness in the scent. Elegance and grace. The bergamont and the freesia mix well together. Those two dominate the perfume. And there's something green in it which I am assuming is the lily of the valley. I do get a whiff of musk but it's very faint. It's a good fragrance for summer and spring and going to the mountains for vacation (Wouldn't wear this if going on a hike or camping. But it's good for a simple vacation at the mountains). Longevity on my skin is upto to 3 hours. On clothing longer. Sillage is good. Moderate. Overall I am very happy with this perfume. I would love to purchase it again when the bottle I have is empty.

Que tal chicos y chicas. Bueno Dior fraiche a sido una bonita sorpresa de perfume, como por lo general esos perfumes no me duran, prefería no probarlos. Sin embargo, la señora que vende Dior me insistió con este perfume y lo probé, en mi piel queda un olor fresco, floral que no molesta a nadie, dejando estela, en mi piel dura bastante más de lo que esperaba casi 7 horas un solo spray, además ese almizcle es elegante y le da importancia, dice "aquí estoy" y no de chica arrebatadora, sino como tierna chica inocente. Probé el bright crystal de Versace y no se me parece en nada. ¿Por qué? El BC de V en mi huele a cítricos muy fuertes y se transforma total a un perfume masculino que se lleva el encanto volviéndose totalmente varonil.

I really love this scent and I finally added it to my collection! I'm a fan of the summer versions of Addict (especially the Addict Shine one which was my signature perfume until they unfortunately discontinued it) and this one smells so 'yummy' on my own skin. In this version of Addict comparing to previous ones, the citrus is not so dominant and it develops a nice balance between the lilly and freesia. It's so light and fresh, it's ideal for hot summer days when you just need something to feel refreshed and leave a lovely aura everywhere you pass from. As for longevity, I could say that it lasts 3-4 hours at least on my skin which is very fair. All things considered, it's a lovely fragrance with a noble bottle which I adore!

My absolute favorite perfumes, period. I had the previous version (Dior Addict Eau Fraiche 2012), and I loved it, and was so disappointed when I could no longer find it. I did not know it was relaunched in a slightly newer version. I stumbled on it in an online store and blind-bought it within 5 minutes. Best purchase ever. I missed this scent, I really did. I'm not sure how it differs from the previous version, I just don't remember. But regardless, it is just the best smell ever. I love the grapefruit opening, it is a bit tangy and almost peppery. After a while it becomes more flowery, while still keeping this citrusy smell. Love it, love it, love it. And when I finish the bottle - I will most definitely repurchase it.

It’s not my perfume, but my mother’s, and whenever she wears it people swoon and ask her what she’s wearing. It’s fresh and clean. I don’t want to share signature scents with her, but it’s just an amazing smell that’s not too instantly recognizable that it becomes a con (e.g., Chloe). It’s ultra feminine. I think of sophisticated, classy, chic lady. She’s sweet, not trying hard stand out, but just adds colour to any room she enters. A youthful and vibrant smell, but not overly playful and still delicate. Sillage is strong, but subtle and I never get tired of smelling it. Literally every time she wears it people are sniffing the air and asking, “what’s that lovely smell?” I hope they don’t reformulate or discontinue it.

I haven't had anything from the house of Dior since my Dune years, which is a long time ago. Sales lady in the airport taxfree shop of Hania, Crete, recommended this to me, when I told I was looking for something fresh and feminine (not unisex type). It didn't take her a long time to find this! I loved it immediately. I wanted something that is easy to wear anytime, not a strong and eccentric fume ( I have Eden already), something good for work, too. Addict Eau Fraiche is perfect. It is fresh, but floral fresh, the bergamot note remains in the background. Freesia and lily-of-the-valley work beautifully together, creating a sparkling, light and elegant scent.

Bright citrusy, fragrant and juicy. Guava kind of vibes, but it's definitely citrus and flowers playing well together with a bit of depth from the wood and musk (which are way in the background) Flirty. Love it so much. Don't last long enough for this price point, so I've already blown through a big bottle of this. Versace bright crystal absolute is very similar, less citrus than this and slightly more wood (+ raspberry opening) but so far hardly beats the terrible lasting power of addict eau fraîche (both are about 30 mins-2h with 2-6 sprays).

As someone who is seriously obsessed with freesias, I was so pleased as it smells like freshly picked freesias and not as synthetic as freesia can sometimes smell in a fragrance. It is very floral but the bergamot makes this fragrance quite sweet in an almost sharp but juicy kind of way. I personally am wearing this now, in the dead of winter as it has a little warmth in it, but mostly I feel alive and refreshed. This currently has become my new everyday work scent because it is pretty and non offensive.

I really really love this. It reminds me of a great week traveling with my husband..But... I would buy it forever IF the longevity wasn't so bad, seriously Dior: I can perfectly understand it is an eau fraiche, yet this is way too poor for the price. In fact I am looking for something similar but with a good longevity. Accepting suggestions. I would use it every time of the day but because it disappears so quickly I am now wearing to sleep. I love it so it is really a shame they didn't care about it.

I really like the Dior Addict line and I think it's a mistake for them to discontinue most of it. I think now all you can buy is the Dior Addict EDP and EDT. So I have been buying them online. I find those that I have tried to be really unique and pretty in their own way, surprisingly so given the fact they're flankers. There's something about this line I really like. So I have a few of them and this one is light crisp and fresh while still remaining true to the Addict line. Well worth buying.

So beautiful. I tested it a few times in the shop and felt so light and beautiful through the rest of the day. I ended up craving it and went to shop again and again, until I decided to buy it. It's winter time and this was keeping me in a cheery mood when I wanted. Will have to try it in the warmer weather, but I think it will only sparkle prettier and fully come to life , since it's such a crisp, light pretty scent. Love this one♡ the prettiest non agresive bergamot there is.

For me this is an absolute love, so fresh, feminine, lovely like you just bathed in a luxurious floral soap and now your skin is lightly scented. If someone wore this I would just want them closer. It smells simple but not cheap. My main complaint is the bad longevity, I only own the mini of this, but when that runs out I will be investing in the full bottle. Is my taste in fragrance basic yes! But it is so crowd pleasing and pleasant.

This is one of my favorite safe scents for spring and summer - fresh, clean, sweet, but not flower bomb sweet. This is a very easy scent to wear and does not trigger my headaches, something that frequently happens with scents that smell cheap or synthetic. Somehow, this perfume is very natural-smelling. It also always garners compliments from men. Think of this as a quality table wine - easy to drink in and no hangover.

LOL..and thanks for the laugh ladies! I could not agree more, it became a joke, for Maison Dior. They're pushing consomption, all marketing but nothing about the product , we should call it " maison flanker Dior ". I mean there are so manny flanker of miss Dior, J'adore and poison, a literal saga and may I add a very expensive one. I gave up on Dior when they discontinued my fragrance Tendre Poison !

Smells like a cool crisp rainy day. I imagine it would be lovEly in the summer heat. Not my favorite notes but the ingredients are quality which makes it fun to try out. These kind of smells make me feel like im wearing a mask as its not my typical perfume. It gives me the feeling I have a new persona. Wow is the dry down beautiful! This perfume changes more than any other

I tried it today in a mall and WOW! Did this suprise me! It is lovely, fresh, youthful - I just found myself on a lovely field with flowers on a spring morning. The grapefruit gives it some freshness but it is not "sporty" - it just kickstarts the flowerbomb that comes afterwards. It is on top of my wishlist, but for now I should focus on scents for the fall, winter :)

To me, this is summer in a bottle! I love citrusy floral, and this is no exception! Bright and fresh bergamot-heavy opening, a smooth freesia and grapefruit-tinted mid, and a very lightly musky dry down. Like Clinique's Happy and other citrusy florals in my collection, this is one that I reach for when I need a pick-me-up! I would "love" it if it lasted a bit longer

Sparkly, juicy and feminine! I love this perfume. For me it's very much a "going out" scent, but it could just as easily be your everyday / go-to perfume. The grapefruit turns a bit powdery on my skin after a time, but still smells delicious and fresh. I have a hard time finding perfumes that smell "girly" with my skin chemistry, but this was a great success.

I personally love it. I agree that it does not last very long, but maybe it's because it is so light that you lose the sense of it after a while. I can tell you that the scent is beautiful and really balanced. Nothing harsh about it and it is really lovely. A new favorite that I think I will have a hard time NOT wearing it. I had a sample of this I really need this one! So fresh, light and reminds me a joyful summerdays. This smells quite same as Versace Bright Crystal and funny thing is that I have never liked VBC.. Now I am wondering why I like this one so much, but maybe the reason is that this one is more complicated than VBC. However, i really need this!

I had a previous version. It was sharp and gave a cold vibe. This one is an extra upgrade to the old one. More musk makes it warmer and perfectly balanced. In a few words: luxurious, elegant, rich and just perfect for summer. Nevermind if it's second, fifth or tenth verion, I love it, because it's the best:)

Its a very pretty citrusy smell, light and fresh. Its simple but nice, it doesnt really need anything else, it is what it is. Super summery. The flowers do come out more once its starts to dry down, but its still fresh and pretty.

When I got it for the second time it seemed different and it’s not like 5 years passed so my taste changed. It was soon after I run out of the first bottle. It’s a beautiful fresh light scent, very feminine and delicate.

Beautiful, light floral, very pleasant and summery, not very longlasting on my skin. Similar to Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle (just like the new Addict EDT is similar to Eau Delice).

This is my favorite perfume of all time and my signature scent. I get the most compliments on it. It always makes me feel fresh. So light and clean.

My favourite scent in the whole world.

This fragrance is what I imagine a Duchess would choose to wear for her 5 p.m. tea appointment with a couple of friends. Elegant and laid back at the same time, a bit powdery and very floral, it gives "pearl necklace" vibes. On my skin, this develops a modern rose scent; I would not associate this fragrance to a pure white floral but to something more dusty pink. The touch of bergamot goes almost unnoticed, while the flowers are fresh, just a tiny bit sweet. The powdery note has that soapy quality that I generally associate with rose, but here it's more like shower gel: a bit synthetic. Definitely a fresh and clean fragrance. This eau fraiche is an easy everyday reach for someone over 30; it's the fragrance of a poised woman that loves some understated and traditional elegance. Not a safe blind buy if you like something more opulent and rich, or something really sweet.

The citrus and freesia notes are prominent in this iteration of Addict. On my skin, this is very much like Versace's Yellow Diamond Intense. I totally agree with Michylaka and I can understand why one would end up buying this instead of YD. The difference for me is in the dry down. This one is relatively softer and 'cooler' than YD - perhaps owing to the absence of warm amber in the base(?) This is great for balmy days when I just want a refreshing, 'green' floral scent to perk up my dull senses. There's nothing ground-breaking here, but it's definitely workplace-appropriate, comforting, pleasant, and non-imposing.

Just tried this at Ulta out of curiosity and shockingly, I like it! I don't usually gravitate toward freesia (too screechy fresh) or lily-of-the-valley (too green and sharp), but here, both notes are balanced out by juicy bergamot and clean musk (not dryer sheet territory nor animalic). It faded on me fairly quickly, but for an EDT wasn't bad. I'm going to look around and see if I can get it at a better price point than Ulta since it does fade out so fast, but it's safe to say I've found a surprising new scent.

So this is apparently a Dior Addict flanker. I am yet to experience Dior Addict EDP due to its limited availability and lack of popularity compared to other Dior fragrances in my area. I could say though that along with Dior Joy, this is fantastic for everyday daytime wear. Its floral notes are gentle, inoffensive and radiate a distinctly hyperfeminine charm. The bottle itself is so pretty and easily takes the spot for my most favorite Dior bottle in my collection.

"Fresh" by Kool & The Gang is the theme song of this perfume. Fun, girly, citrusy. I've had it for 10 years, my dad bought it as a souvenir from Paris - the sales assistant recommended it based on me being described as a "quirky, sweet blonde young girl" and I think it fits that persona well. Altho I've outgrown this scent, it hasn't aged at all in the bottle over a decade. Smells the same as my new sample. Barely lasts a couple of hours though so beware.

I still prefer Dior Addict EDT, maybe because Eau Fraiche 2014 has that strong Freesia that makes it more femenine while the other has that dry feel that I find interesting. Neither of them has anything to do with the EDP, these EDT are citrusy, fresh and light. What I really like about Eau Fraiche is that I imagine wearing this at some elegant restaurant, a wedding or just after workout. A very versatile fragrance.

Nose Note #468 Nice very fresh and very pink scent. It has very pleasant moderate sweetness that's coming from this fruity candy note that's not listed. The 2012 version has lotus and pomegranate, maybe this is it, a very sweetened pomegranate with nothing sour. Performance is very very underwhelming. Otherwise a very pretty scent. Reminds me of something I don't know what. 7/10, nothing fantastic, bad performance

Citrusy from start to finish. Lily of the valley is almost lost in the bergamot. This is nice to spray after stepping out of the shower but at this price, I would prefer Moschino Cheap & Chic Love which shows up at Shoppers (Canadian) for $20. Pros: - fresh & citrus - pretty bottle filled with light pink juice Cons: - more affordable alternative at lower price - not similar to Dior Addict in blue bottle

Wish I hadn't thrown away my Sephora receipt, pure impulse buy and smells like toilet bowl cleaner/citronella candle on me. Oh well, I'll try it in summer since I'm stuck with it........ Update: I do like this better in warm weather. It starts out almost glaringly citrus, but dries down nicely. I smell some rose? Which I normally hate, but this one is wearable for me. Doubt I'll repurchase though......

This edt is nice, that kind of nice that you want to smell it on your wrist and keep smelling your wrist type of summer/spring fragrance.... also this one reminds me of another perfume that i for the life of me could not locate... maybe it is versache or some other dior perfume but let me say this is way better than dior's poison line--- seriously i do not get the poison's hype, to each their own....

This is a light, sophisticated, fresh fragrance that can be worn anywhere. I cannot see this offending anyone. It's really nice, but the lasting power is awful. You would think it would last a bit longer in the heat since it's a "fraiche" version, but nope, I literally cannot smell it after an hour. If you want something similar that lasts longer get Chanel Chance or any of its many flankers.
