Dune Sun

Dune Sun is aptly called because it is the center or nexus of every perfume combo I will ever wear for the rest of my life. I have always been a fan of layering for adding complexity and nuance to my scents. Dune is soooo essential to me, with its windswept burning woodsy sand vibes, unmatched with any other perfume imho...SUN just makes it that much more wearable, even bearable, due to how strong the original Dune is. and I am just utterly obsessed. I have the Brume Parfumee which is as others have noted the same as Sun... I already have a bottle of Sun (NIB!!!) On the way. Needless to say I got about half a bottle of the Brume at a very good deal! To my nose, it is a little sweeter and fruiter than the OG which is a little more sour and broomy. Both are delicious in their own right and I never want to be without Dune 💛 in particular, I feel that this is very much more of a sensory safe Dune, as I notice my clients get mad if I wear anything more than one spray of the Dune original LOL. it is quite sour and strong. But this, combined with the perfume or eau de toilette original, is just perfect. It balances it out so well I can't emphasize enough. I respectfully disagree that you need one or the other. If you are a Dune fan girl like me, get both. Get them all 🤣 Layering companion perfumes for bad b*tches: . Lattafa Nebras OG or Elixir . Phlur Vanilla Smoke . Vanilla Voyage . Being Frenshe Moon Milk . Boy Smells Violet Ends, OG formula Wear all of the above for a diabolically delicious combo, just keep it to one spray each under the shirt. TRUST.

Back in 1997 I discovered that Dune would be my signature. And so it is! But then, when I was only 18, EVERYBODY around me - including my mom and random shop assistants (both in my local shop and otherwise) claimed that this scent simply didn't fit my face, my age and my looks in general - it smelled "too mature" in their opinion. MY OPINION was not important! But the same summer, some nice and helpful ladies at ICI PARIS perfume store in Brussels - apparently helpless to my stubbornness - suggested that I might try Dune Brume Parfumee instead of the original. THIS VERY SCENT WAS LATER RELEASED AS "DUNE SUN"!!!! I know it for sure since my friend bought it some years later as Dune SUN and it smelled exactly the same. I still have my 21-year old bottle and it still smells gorgeous!!!! Despite NOT containing alcohol. It's amazingly long-lasting, sexy, versatile, it develops perfectly in the heat but also smells great on cooler days. It is a freakin' masterpiece, I don't understand why it's unavailable while some creepy J'Adore gets an umpteenth flanker.

An absolute masterpiece! I was lucky to find a bottle of this with the matching lotion. I had never smelled it so it was a blind buy. I love the no alcohol concept and was worried it might impact the longevity or silage but not at all. I cannot understand the reason for the discontinuation of this scent. It's breathtakingly beautiful. While it does not lean masculine I think a man could wear it if he wanted and not have an issue with it. But it's not masculine at all. Creamy, soft, warm.. I imagine myself on the white beaches of Cancun with a drink in hand and a big white sun hat just soaking in the beauty around me. This one narcotic and has antidepressant qualities. Major love.

Oh,I had forgotten about this. It's a lovely alcohol-free fragrance, for those whose skin gets easily irritated during summertime or all year round. Mandarine orange is so intense and a bit edible that's mouthwatering. The composition evolves smoothly following somehow the original dune's steps but it doesn't get to the base. It's a top-notes/heart-notes playground and that's ok. After all you cannot expect an alcohol-free scent to have a sillage. It's a wonderfully smelling water, a body splash you may say, not a perfume.

I have Dune Brumé Parfumée which from my understanding is the same as Dune Sun. To me it has the same sillage as Dune, slightly less longevity, and a little more unisex due to being slightly less sweet/fruity. But this might be because the bottle is old and some of the sweeter top notes are gone. If you are looking for an easier to wear version of Dune for warmer months or a version that's harder to overspray then it's a good bet, but if you already have Dune you don't need to own both.

I've seen only one person on the internet -- on this page -- say this is the same scent as Dune Brumé Parfumée, can anyone else confirm? I own Brumé Parfumée and therefore added Dune Sun to my wardrobe, just not 100% sure if Sun is an identical rebranding of Brumé or if they are two different alcohol-free versions of Dune.

Fruity-oriental fragance. I just love it. It's not overwhelming and is suitable for both office and leisure time. It helps you escape the routine. My favourite fragance by far, along with Dune.

I really liked Dune Summer, I used to layer this one with Dune edt for nights out, always had compliments, seems that this one is so hard to find, will keep searching for my collection !

Gorgeous happy and calming perfume. TOO BAD Dior discontinued it. WHY the hell do they do this??

At first I was disappointed when I purchased this, thinking it would be an alochol free, lighter version of Dune. But, once I wore it and got used to it, I really liked it. The lemon notes are great for summer. It will never replace Dune for me, but it is a nice change.

This brings back holiday memories. I remember the mandarin was front and centre in this one, really juicy and sweet. A perfect summer perfume to bring back memories of your holiday. Wish I could smell this again.

I recently tried a vintage bottle of Dune Sun, I can confirm that at least an old bottle smelled like a weaker version of Dune Brumé Parfumée, which I also own. I really wanted to smell the ingredients listed: Mandarin Orange, Black Currant and even lotus, but to be honest, the old bottle disappointed me. I have no choice. All the classic scents of Dior discontinued so I can only get old bottles.

Just saw bottle of this for sale on trade me (my country's version of Ebay) at $300 dollars weeee. Love dune too but at over 200 a pop in my country i won't be gettng it anytime soon (I do own some expensive perfumes in my collection but i beg barter cry bargain & plead for them lolol)

Dune Sun is the perfect name for this perfume. I feel confortable and relax when I'm wearing it. I can see the ocean, touch the sand, feel the sun on my skin... The mandarin orange dominates the fragrance and I love it.
