Fahrenheit 32

I'll be honest with you; this is one fragrance I never thought I'd be reviewing. I knew of its existence just by my own curiosity and research into the Fahrenheit flankers, but with it being a discontinued fragrance from 2007 I never thought I'd have the privilege of trying it myself. Lo and behold, there it was sitting on the shelf in a fragrance boutique at the mall. I asked the owner how much it was, assuming it would be some outlandish amount. When she told me $70, I was swiping my card within minutes. I figured it was best not to ask too many questions. Now let's get into it; Scent: Opening is sweet, floral, and citrusy. There are only three notes in the breakdown; orange blossom, vetiver, and vanilla. The notes I pick up most are the vanilla and orange blossom. The vanilla is sweet and creamy, almost like a vanilla ice cream. The orange blossom is citrusy but also carries a noticeable white floral accord. However, the florals I get are not overly feminine, and rest comfortably within what I would consider unisex. Rounding out the opening I get an ample base of earthy woodiness from the vetiver. I've seen other compare this to the scent of an orange creamsicle, and I can definitely agree with that. The dry down is sweet, citrusy, and earthy. The standout notes are still the vanilla and orange blossom. The difference in the dry down is that the floral aspect of the orange blossom has faded into the background and the earthy/woody accord of the vetiver has become more prominent. I still get a orange creamsicle vibe in the dry down. I also get just the faintest hint of the hallmark gasoline note from Fahrenheit EDT. It's barely there, but I can pick it out when I look for it. Performance: Initial projection is strong at around 6 feet. Sillage is very strong and leaves an unmistakeable scent trail. After a few hours the projection was about 12 inches but the scent trail was still noticeable. After around 8 hours the fragrance had become a skin scent. When to wear: With a name like Fahrenheit 32, I was certain this would be a spring/summer fragrance. Now after trying it, I'm not so sure of that. Sure the citrusy florals will work great in the warmer months, but the strong vanilla note makes it feel at home in the cooler months as well. I would comfortably categorize this as an all-season fragrance, suitable for day or evening wear. I would say it's suitable for any occasion as well. Date night, office, formal; the versatility is there. Blind buy: If you like sweet and citrusy fragrances, or like the idea of smelling like an orange creamsicle, this is a safe blind buy for you. Final verdict: This was an interesting and fun review for me. I truly went into this blind, not knowing anything of what to expect from this fragrance. I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The scent itself was alluring and magnetic, the performance was respectable, and its unique scent profile gave it a standout wow factor. I really don't have anything else in my collection that smells similar to Fahrenheit 32. But even though it was unique, I could still see this being pretty mass-appealing; I mean who doesn't like orange and vanilla together? All that to say, while I wouldn't recommend paying the inflated prices people ask on eBay, if you can find this for a decent price I would definitely urge you to grab it right away. The air is alive around me - every breath is tinged with new life...it beckons me to join in its harmonies. I fear what may happen...but I submit. I am awash in whites and golds, a gentle tolling of bells amongst the songs of angels - this is of otherworldly origin. You materialize as if from thin air - your hair made of golden tendrils of vetiver, floating, your skin an earthen vanilla, warm and loving, the humid chill of rose and iris linger on your breath. I am paralyzed in your presence. You reach out and gently touch my hand - my mind is electrified in this transdimensional union. I see in waves and helices - space and time are my playthings. I feel grey, I feel blue, I burn white, I am endless. Our heated skin becomes honey and pepper in a moment of elusivity. Here we linger awhile, lost in fields of radiating orange blossoms. Your words setting off endless chain reactions, resurfacing the neural pathways of my brain, illuminating the infinite possibilities of existence. Eternity passes before I open my eyes - you are gone. I am pierced by this transaction - my skin still bears the mark of a heavenly vanilla and a soft floral vetiver. I stare out at an endless sea mirroring the still sky. For a moment, the tranquil sea and the pale sky become one - you are lost in its endlessness...a pale blackness permeates. This is my existence. Day 56 - Touch Listening to: The Gathering - Black Light District Notes: This is definitely one of my favorite florals - something about white florals gets me all giddy. Over time, my opinion on what's actually in the fragrance has shifted (I'm able to sense more as certain notes are less overwhelming - I could not handle the scent of fragrances until I was 21. I would get physically ill from smelling anything in fragrance form. It's odd to be able to sense more as your senses lessen...). This opens in a flourish of radiant orange blossoms contrasted with the cool touch of violet, rose, and iris - these notes are quickly met by a golden vetiver and a decadent yet airy vanilla. This is one of a few fumes that actually makes my mouth water. Somewhere in the heart, a lively pepper note joins the vetiver to make it more earthy and grounded. All of this slowly dies down into a rich honeyed vetiver and cloud-like vanilla with the gentlest nuances of orange blossoms to carry it on to its end. It is surprisingly durable with longevity somewhere around 8 to 12 hours on my skin. Of course this would be beautiful on anyone, that is, if sweet and beautiful is your thing!

There are no major changes, but rather a continuous and calm blossoming between citrus-floral and woody-creamy. Occasions of Use Fahrenheit 32 is incredibly versatile. It can be worn at work, on romantic dates, daytime events and even in more formal settings — always with an aura of quiet elegance. It is ideal for mild climates and spring or fall days, but it also works well on cool summer nights. In addition, due to its restrained sweetness and refined presence, it also easily pleases the female audience, being considered by many to be a shareable perfume (unisex). Final Considerations Among the many flankers in the Fahrenheit line, Fahrenheit 32 is the second best in the line, tied with the intense and mysterious Fahrenheit Absolute, both behind only the powerful and sophisticated Fahrenheit Le Parfum, the pinnacle of the line in terms of olfactory richness. Fahrenheit 32 is the luminous face of the Fahrenheit universe — a fragrance that speaks of introspection, purity and serenity. A jewel that was discontinued and is now worshipped by collectors and lovers of artistic perfumery. Final Score: 9.6/10 A perfume for those who see beauty in subtlety. Fahrenheit 32 is the Fahrenheit of sensitive souls — an almost poetic fragrance that proves that delicacy can also be strong

So... I erased my review from last night (did you notice?), donned a pink shirt (ala Marc's ancient video on this fragrance). Did he fix his teeth? And wore this guy (girl?) to work today, courtesy of Sephora and a weekend job at the mall. I couldn't get this fragrance out of my head. It's truly other-worldly, probably, the single-most unique fragrance for men I've ever smelled, and released about 15 years "ahead of its time". Man, if I didn't already love Dior enough, I admire them even more for having released something this progressive as a designer fragrance. This is the polar opposite of the original Fahrenheit. It's its doppelgänger. It's every single thing that the original is not, and in that regard, is an equally timeless, revolutionary, masterpiece. Just like it's dark half, Fahrenheit 32 is not for everyone, but also like it's more brooding brethren, one must be just as masculine, if not more so, to pull this modern iteration of the original off. The definition of contemporary masculinity has radically changed since Fahrenheit was first introduced a quarter century ago, and this fragrance release by Dior is keenly aware of this ongoing trend. I must say, I'm in love. To me, this smells like an icy, balmy, vanilla, floral/honeysuckle-covered watermelon, with touches of vetiver to keep it all in check. What could possibly be more opposite then the red hot smell of gasoline and motor oil of the original, yet still remain as ground-breaking, modern, masculine and as timeless to a new generation of men 25 years hence?. I believe that this was exactly the challenge Dior presented its perfumers in developing this perfume. They succeeded masterfully, and although many people will fail to appreciate or understand this fragrance, that's perfectly okay. Give yourselves another 10 years or so. 10/10 Beautuful, Modern, Masculinity, at its Finest. Another masterpiece by Dior. Wow. Dries down to a balmy, beautiful, divine, coconut-accord of well lotioned, sun-kissed, healthy, glowing, skin. Heavenly.

White, pure, tender. That's how i can describe fahrenheit 32. It's a simple, pleasant high quality composition, very far from the firy, edgy and bold vibe of the original. The notes are clean and easy to detect: orange blossom, white flowers, vetiver and vanilla. That's all. It' s the relaxing side of fahrenheit, very conforting and calming. If the Orange blossom gives freshness, the vetiver is the masculine touch of the blend. The vanilla in the base has a very soft sweetness, so it's not cloying at all. Everything is balanced here, the scent is soft but not weak, the performance is not Amazing but not disappointing for sure. The best season to wear fahrenheit 32 is spring. I think the hardcore fans of the original can dislike this edt, because they are very different. The smell in itself is nice, it"s not your tipical refreshing-summer edt. So if you find it be careful what you are looking for. Personally i like it a lot. Fahrenheit 32 è lontanissimo dall'originale. Fiori d'arancio, fiori bianchi, vetiver e vaniglia: una sequenza facile da notare ma non per questo priva di interesse e qualità. È un edt "bianco ", rilassante e con tocco di delicata dolcezza. Mi ricorda quelle torte cameo estive che si mettono subito in frigo, più leggere delle classiche torte da forno invernali super dolci e caloriche. Ottimo per la primavera, chi ama la versione standard potrebbe rimanere deluso o almeno spiazzato. Scent-8 Longevity-7,5 Sillage-7 Versatility -7,5 Uniqueness-8 Compliment factor-7 Back up bottle?
