Final Considerations Among the various flankers in the Fahrenheit line, Absolute stands out as the second best in my opinion — an honorable position shared with the refined Fahrenheit 32, known for its musky and creamy elegance. The first place, of course, still belongs to Le Parfum. Fahrenheit Absolute is for collectors, oud lovers and lovers of the most daring and artistic perfumery. Unfortunately, today it is a rare gem, discontinued and valued among enthusiasts — but for those who own it, it is a unique piece of power and olfactory contemplation. Oh god where do I start... This stuff is amazing. It is a very dark proposal from the house of Dior, and I think it's interesting to see their take on the balsamic genre. (I was in the process of writing this review and received a compliment from my mom.. :) she said it smelled like incense. She usually hates that kind of fragrances) Now on to the review. So in the opening I get a very ambery sweetness that is not too appealing. It feels like all of the notes are competing with each other but non of them really wins. I definitely get the violet leaf (in a very pungent way) and some kind of resin oil. A very challenging scent. But once it dries and settles on your skin, you embark on a very deep, dark and intoxicating journey... So first some incense starts to appear along with the myrrh and some other resins. Also, the strong violet note tones down into something more soothing and natural. After an hour or so.. the incense becomes deeper and darker... the green aspect of the violet leaf disappears completely and you are left with your resins and a very elegantly blended oud wood. After the two hour mark...a tiny bit of vanilla appears to smooth everything out. And then... oh my god... the incense...It just takes over and starts to smell like if it was LITERALLY BURNING OFF YOUR SKIN. Beautiful stuff. Minutes after that you start to smell all of the formerly mentioned notes in a burn-like fashion. As if you where actually burning some myrrh resin with some vanilla beans and dry violet leaf. Bonkers. And that's how it all ends... like if your skin was emanating some kind of sacred resin smoke... In my opinion, Dior just killed it with this one. This is exactly how incense fragrances should behave. I'm sorry for the rave review but It's just that I rarely come across into stuff like this... Thanks Dior!!! But shame on you for discontinuing this jewel. My Rating: Scent: 10/10 Performance: 8/10 Versatility: 5/10 (I wear this only for very special occasions, and on fall or winter nights) Get it before it's completely lost :)!!!

Recently purchased my second backup bottle of this discontinued gem, so my actions speak to my love and adoration of this fragrance. I first purchased Fahrenheit Absolute when dabbling with incense/balsamic fragrances more than 2-years ago. Let me just say that I immediately enjoyed the olfactory experience, and my love for this discontinued (yes, that was a tear-drop you you heard hitting the deck) favorite grows stronger after each and every wearing. A brilliant fragrance! I get some sweet incense, myrrh and violet mixed with a touch of Fahrenheit DNA...minus that gasoline accord. I really don't detect any oud, but I spend a lot of time with oud-heavy fragrances so let's just say the oud accord is subtle, at best. Regardless, Absolute had a dark feel, but that dark accords is not overly dense nor heavy...so this fragrance shouldn't be too dark for most wearers or offensive to others. Pretty much everyone around me likes or loves this scent, when asked, but I received few unsolicited compliments. Although it pushing out slightly above average, it is not a sillage monster and, in my opinion, it may be slightly unapproachable due to it being a masculine/intimidating scent. It commands respect and submission. Typically only people who know me well will tell me how wonderful this fragrance smells on my skin. I was surprised this one doesn't last longer on my skin--around 7-8 hours--but I can't complain since 8-hours is fine with me. I initially waffled between like and love, but it has become one of my all-time favorite Fall/Winter scents. If you love Fahrenheit, I think you will like this one and it is certainly worth trying. If you're into incense and balsamic scents, you will want to give this one a try. But if you only like the freshies, fruities, sweets and florals...don't waste your time or money. Finally, as much as I enjoy wearing Fahrenheit Parfum, it is not a substitute for Absolute. Hopefully, Dior will reconsider discontinuing this ass-kicker of a fragrance. We shall see.

WEATHER / SEASON : Winter (best in a very cold weather) TIME / : night (or dark afternoons) SCENT / FEEL : 19/20 (violet, myrrh, incense, oud and a touch of violet) - dark oriental which gives a mysterious / seductive aura (the kind that lonely beautiful silent man with a hat, all dressed in black at the bar would wear). LONGEVITY : 9/10 (as I always wear some unscented body lotion and spray some inside my coat, can last up to 12+ hours) PROJECTION / SILLAGE : 8/10 (sillage is rather average, but projection is very good for the first 4 hours or so - 2 feet distance) OVERALL : 18/20 NOTEs / ADD INFO : My signature and favorite scent ever. I got it as a Xmas present 2 years ago from my little sister. Too bad Dior discontinued it :( NOT to be worn in summer (or hot spring) : too heavy, may induce headache. Perfect from late december to mid-march. Beautiful flanker to the original which was already one of my all time favorite fragrances. I like this one probably a little bit more even than the original in terms of just the smell alone, however when you factor in the price (this is a bit overpriced, although not quite as overpriced as some other discontinued fragrances) and the versatility I reach for the original a lot more. Still, this one is fantastic in the colder to even slightly warm weather. It's warm and resinous with similar top and heart notes to the classic Fahrenheit you know and love, it's very masculine, it may even satisfy a bit of that gourmand desire as it's much sweeter than the original with the vanillic and cozy resins in the base however I would definitely not call this a gourmand fragrance. I do not detect any oud in this fragrance at all. Why on earth do houses create these beautiful fragrances like this, only to go back and discontinue them? It's all greed, if they can't sell it they have to get rid of it and while I do understand from a business perspective I'll never respect it from a consumer perspective. Regardless, I'm very pleased and fortunate to have a bottle. I recommend this for anybody who likes the original but isn't cemented into the fresher composition of the original, and who enjoys resinous fragrances. I think it's perfect for 30+, probably more of a nighttime fragrance but I wear it during the day. Lasts a long time with adequate spraying and projects moderately, not a beast mode projector by any means. This is a perfect fragrance with an overinflated pricetag, but if you can get the 100ml bottle for $150-$180 give or take, I think it's worth it at that range. When you're getting into the $200 territory, it's just not worth that. I'll give this a 10/10, I can't rightfully take a point away for the price especially when you can still actually find it for a relatively fair price sometimes.

I understand why this was discontinued - it is a wicked beast of a fume and it cares not what the world thinks of it. This could very easily wear someone as the opener is unabashedly stanky! You are treated with a field of lush violets for but a moment as the cumin and oud plow through the field, leaving only ruin their wake. Here they sit on desecrated ground, stinking and sulllying all that comes around. If you dare breathe deeply enough, you can smell the warm embers of singed trees and charred ground with an inkling of hope - destruction often leads to new life in the most unexpected of ways. The destroyer identified as cumin bores of the new land and departs while the oud cries solemnly at the mistakes he has made - the earth is now soaked with these leathery tears. Smoke billows in and out of this quietly shifting land - ambered oud trees begin to poke through the fertile soil, adorned in leather leaves. The land is alive now and dry smoke rustles these new creations, kissing them gently, sustaining their strange new life. These alien trees birth an anomoly - nuts that quizzically smell of a caramelized and slightly singed myrrh. Time passes and much changes - there is now a confident wanderer meandering through this alien grove only to plop down under a tree and open a cola to sip whilst waiting out the day. The scent permeates the cooling night air as it collects moisture from a coming storm - violets begin to bloom once more. What was once snuffed out is born again to carry us off to a better tomorrow. May we all be blessed with a glorious return of something dear that what we once thought lost. Day 51 - Falling or flying Listening to: Anathema - Thin Air

Francois Demachy has reached his career creative peak point with this flanker: a lost, complex and (unfortunately) discontinued masterpiece. Fahrenheit Absolute discloses with a strong, charred olfactory hitting sense that reminds a Gothic cathedral, a medieval setting and an holy quest with a dark twist. Wear this will make you think you'd been invested as a decadent knight, seeking for warmth of a bonfire in the middle of an untouched forest at night, starting for an endless and perilous journey to complete your quest. Components here are clearly detectable, with a neat predominance of incense and myrrh, followed by oud, leather and a well hidden remembrance of a violet, Fahrenheit's core DNA. I detect no petroleum, but a resinous, teak-y, burnt finish overall. Performances are great: sillage and longevity are powerhouse but not cloying, and not taken at the truly extreme; EdT intense is a winner choice here, even if I must admit I am very curious to test a perfum version of this. I have yet to discover which occasion resound best to match this scent, but I suppose it would be between something formal like a 'prima' to the Opera or a special, ceremonial evening/night, definitely for fall/winter season. [I later rediscovered this scent in a soliloquy; it is so wonderful when you wear it for yourself only and meditate or in intimate moments with a person close to your skin.] One of the best incense fragrances out there that I've sampled at the time of writing. Decadent church vibes and a very original, flamboyânt mood all around. If you have deep pockets (by now), you should definitely purchase one of these miraculous, smokey-lavish bottles.

Drum roller: EXCITING! This Mr. Perfume is another of the few marvels that have come to my nose and in my wardrobe. Despite being an eau de toilette it is very persistent. I do not appreciate the original Fahrenheit, I do not appreciate the Parfum but this for me is the Best of the fahrenheit Family. Mystic incense. An OUD that deserves to be capitalized. It is a fragrance that is rather complex in the sense that it has a very particular meaning and that few people come to understand. Let me explain: There are the classic ingredients that evoke the sacred, the paradise but this fragrance expresses the opposite. A sacred on the contrary, a good overthrown, hell and its flames, temptation, the forbidden. This is why I state that it is an extremely sensual, warm and enveloping fragrance. East Africa comes to mind with its Rift Valley, not only because of the notes that remind you but also due to the presence of many volcanoes. The environment that most reflects this fragrance is that of total desolation: wild spaces, deserts and drenched by millions of gases. I wonder how our planet was billions of years ago and I find the answer in this scent: incandescent asteroids that collide in lava, vapors, black and inaccessible lands. Fahrenheit Absolute is not of this planet, he stayed with us for a short time but I was one of the lucky few to (re) find it. Demachy is always a guarantee. A color for this perfume: Copper. A state of mind: Solitary. An imaginary celebrity: James Bond. Among my favorite fragrances! RATING: 10/10

Fahrenheit Absolute is definitely a true masterpiece. Period. Please don't waste your precious time listening to the haters, those who claim to be "experts" (experts.... LOL), or those (like someone above) who continuously repost their childish and unbereable snob reviews just to feed their ego, especially those who enjoy destroying the reputation of perfumes that the vast majority of other people like just for the pleasure of letting us all know how snobbish and risible they are with their “book”. Sometimes when you have nothing nice or interesting to say about such a beloved product, you should have the decency to keep quiet. Demachy is a real genius, we all know, and this flanker truly deserve respect because there is no question about the quality of the ingredients. It's quite powerful, dark, mysterious, very long lasting and with an incredible sillage. A solid 9 out of 10 for me. Take the time also to read the plenty of "wow" reviews on this page that accurately describe this scent. The "meh" reviews, very few, are probably coming from those who lost the train when Fahrenheit Absolute was still available on the market and now can’t find or afford a full bottle of this wonderful cologne hence why they see this one as "overrated", “mainstream”, “basically here, basically there” (LOL) and pathetic bla bla bla nonsense. Classic case of sour grapes folks, sour grapes :D

Lost Black Diamond (Francois Demachy, 2009) Scentrack: Photek – Modus Operandi Master Demachy transformed the original, aggressive Fahrenheit in a dark, introverted and mellow fragrance. Although still possesses some characteristic of the original, Absolute is a fragrance on its own. Electric, but subdued violet flowers are perfectly mashed with dark undertones. A petrol accord of the original is present as well, but milder and totally incorporated in sheer darkness. Deep in the background, I can sense hidden violet leaf.The oud is not a main player in this fragrance, but good supportive note that brings soft darkness and dirty undertones. Incense is not easily recognizable also. This is not a Catholic mass incense show. In Fahrenheit Absolute incense just a gives a touch of sacral atmosphere, juxtaposed to dirty oud and huge myrrh resin. Excellent vanilla absolute is a responsible for sweet nuances of this fragrance, giving the impression of old books. Like a scene when Sean Connery visits hidden monastery library in Annaud’s “The Name of the Rose”. Fahrenheit Absolute is a scent of duality. Transcended holy incense somehow becomes passionate and sexy. An unexplained, but constant transformation of life. Almost a Zoroastrian duality. Sacred versus profane, good versus evil, cold versus hot, right versus wrong. A lost black diamond. Rating: 9/10

On my quest to acquire all of the Fahrenheit flankers (excluding Fahrenheit Summer '06 and '07), Fahrenheit Absolute stands out as by far the most sophisticated and mysteriously alluring fragrance in the entire line. This is what happens when Middle Eastern excellence meets refined French finesse. a true work of art. Fahrenheit Absolute is perhaps the only time I’d argue that the Fahrenheit line truly steps into high end, niche quality territory, delivering something genuinely exceptional. Spicy yet soothing incense, fresh ozonic violet, warm creamy amber, and just the slightest touch of oud come together to create what might be Dior’s most underrated and luxurious cologne of all time. If Fahrenheit Absolute weren’t one of the rarest in the lineup (alongside Fahrenheit Summer), it would easily be my go-to fragrance for any fall or winter gathering or date night. I paid WAY too much for it, but luckily, I’m Absolute-ly addicted to this stuff. (Yeah, it’s a pun.) If you ever find Fahrenheit Absolute for around $1.50 per ML or less, I highly recommend you jump on it, but only if you love Middle Eastern-style fragrances. Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 10/10 Uniqueness: 12/10 Overall: 10/10 Please Dior, the community is begging for a revival of the Fahrenheit line, whether it’s a brand-new creation or a reissue of some of these forgotten masterpieces.

If Dior Fahrenheit is a burning forest, this is a meteorite on the asphalt! It was not easy to flank the older brother but this flaker does it great. Very dark and more modern than the predecessor, oh God, the conjunction with Fahrenheit is there, the indistinguishable note of violet and the leather that accompanies it, but then absolute becomes more dusty, more rubber, darker, more incense and with the oud, oud that is not the absolute protagonist of the perfume but you feel it bouncing between the liturgical notes, it is not the oud that is flattened in your face, but it is the one that accompanies you gently. The opening is fantastic, an explosion of scents, almost all the notes are heard, but then it rests and becomes "silent", after the aggressive opening it becomes very calm and meditative, a sort of modern / metallic, perhaps the combination of myrrh incense and oud, it disturbs a little, after that opening you expect more. Certainly simpler and less overwhelming than the original but equally fascinating. Very gloomy, from the absolute name one would expect a more full-bodied and rich perfume, instead I consider it more simple and subtle. Do not get me wrong, absolutely not boring, indeed it has an opening to scream. Very contemplative, black and flowery. Rating 9

I cant understand why the best flankers of fahrenheit are discontinued. Fahrenheit Absolute is a fantastic fragrance and a great sequel of the original. The blend is a masterwork, this is the dark, deep journey of the original fahrenheit in a mysterious dimension. Absolute has the original dna with few changes: myrrh, oud, less benzin and more incense. The incense here is smooth, so not too much church vibe here. A very interesting variant of the og. Sadly the performance is not so Amazing, just ok for longevity and projection. I would recommend this for an intimate and unusual situations, like Independent theather, museum, artistic enviroments...fits better for cooler months. This is my list of best fahrenheit scents: 1 original edt 2 aqua fahrenheit 3 Absolute 4 fahrenheit 32 5 fahrenheit parfum 6 fahrenheit cologne. I really love Fahrenheit Absolute. I was a fan of the original Fahrenheit but lost interest a little bit along the way with the reformulations. Then I sampled this at a store and boom, remembered in a rush why I liked the original so much. This is warm and rich as the original but the oud and incense gives this a slightly darker vibe which I really love. All the 4 different notes come together really well making Absolute a really fantastic fragrance. Longevity is an outstanding 8 hours plus on skin ( although it gets closer to skin after 6 hrs) and even better on clothes. I can smell it on my shirts in the laundry hamper 3 days later. projection is just right in my opinion, good without being obnoxious. Now that it's been discontinued, I am glad I got a 100 ml FB before online prices become exorbitant and trust me, it will. warm, dark, rich, inviting, "Absolutely" wonderful. I cant help sniffing myself all the time whenever I have this on. Love it. 9/10 Edit-: I really love the Fahrenheit bottles. The sprayer on this is so tactile you get exactly the amount you want. give it a slight nudge for a small spritz, A little bit more pressure for a nice, full spray. Wonderful attention to small details. Bravo Dior!!

I'm obsessed with this fragrance. Enough has already been said about its dark, somber nature, which is something I like the most about Absolute. One sniff and it immediately transports me to a deep forest, where very little sunlight reaches the surface.The smell of pine trees, spruces, wet moss near a creek in a dense forest, that sums up Fahrenheit Absolute to me. I dont get the petroleum vibe from the Original Fahrenheit much in Absolute, and whatever little resemblance is there is gone within the first 10 minutes or less. I only wish it lasted longer. Its not as potent as the original Fahrenheit, which is the sad part cos I absolutely adore this scent. What makes me very sad is that this fragrance is discontinued. I wonder why! I wish Christian Dior regularizes its production like the Aqua and 32. There are a lot of people who really dig this fragrance like I do. I have hoarded like 3 bottles, but I know some day I'm gonna run out of it. :( I'll highly recommend this fragrance to everyone, if you can find it. My ratings for Fahrenheit Absolute: Perfume : 10/10 Projection : 8/10 Sillage : 7/10 Longevity : 8/10 To me this is a perfect 10/10 fragrance just for the perfume. LOVE IT!!

A long time ago, Fahrenheit Absolute was the signature fragrance of a distinct young boy, in a remote location in Italy. A gateway scent that let that boy embark in a journey full of scents and wisdom. Every time, any given whiff could have smelled either differently, and contained everything - from flowers to spices: a sea-field of sky-storming ashen violets blooming and fuming lavishly in a cold misty night, lightened up by moonlight, with a powdery mantle underlining the scene; the best and richest myrrh you could possibly think of; a lightly, decadent virtual oud echo remembrance; a royal and chypre amber; a dusty and enchanting ashen zipline of incense with an aura, slowly fleeing from the sand towards the sky, in a sun charred scorched desert - and beyond. That time is long gone by now, and those memories will be one day lost, like tears in the rain. You will be missed, Absolute. Psychedelic and hypnotic, bewitched, niche quality juice, heavy influenced by heat. Outstanding creation, very ahead of its times. Farewell. You will not be forgotten, and all your memories will be treasured, until, hopefully, we will meet again at some point in life...

A true masterpiece 👏 and a fragrance I throughly enjoy wearing. I kept smelling my wrists after application. Numerous reviews I watched gave me the impression this was going to be polarising and the so called devil's juice. To me it's sweet, smokey, fresh and spicy all in one. It's not what I'd call a daring scent as projection is very light. The smell of this is quite outstanding. The best of the Fahrenheit line and little similarly to the og. Makes me think of a shisha bar, bitter cold 🥶 Christmas time. Or one of those Christmas diffusers you can get. If you want people to smell you from distance this isn't for you. If you want a fragrance that you will enjoy smelling on yourself allday this is. It's very unique and a don't think clone houses will quite capture the quality and uniqueness of this If a clone house or different house can create a BEASTMODE of this I'd pay good money. On my skin Fahrenheit absolute is like Prada Luna Rossa Extreme when I am sweating, it's like Prada LRE drydown:) They are very similar but Prada is fresher composition, Dior is smokier and darker, sometimes smells like a shampoo, little bit weird smell but I like it. First spray is not too strong but in time turns more intense and better, enough long lasting with moderate projection. Worth a try! I always smell and test this mysterious, witch-evil scent in the perfumery shop, I really like and want it for myself, I imagine this like a smoky-oriental unisex frag, so maybe I'll purchase it:) Finally arrived this evil bottle, nice, I feel definitely the old Fahrenheit dna in the background (I don't like the original Fahrenheit anyway), but it completes with sweet incense tones that easier to wear, has much much better smell. It doesn't scream as loud and aggressive way like the predecessor, projects in soft-moderate mode with good longevity. The performance could be better, but the smell satisfies me:)

Fahrenheit Absolute Adjectives: Deep and dark; sensual and captivating. Smell: 10/10 On my skin, Fahrenheit Absolute has a certain phermonal vibe to it; as if my body is producing the scent itself. The oud, incense, and myrhh are sweetened by the violet, which brings out a very unique and alluring scent. Such a simple composition, however it is blended perfectly and gives the fragrance many layers; warm, slightly sweet, dark and smoldering. Great projection and longevity. Compliments: 10/10 One of my most complimented fragrances I own, Fahrenheit Absolute is perfect for a first date, or any social setting when one is on the prowl. It is incredibly alluring and multi-demensional. women want to get closer to you so they can sniff you. My ex girlfriend would smell the bottle just because she loved the scent so much. Overall: 10/10 If I could only choose one Dior fragrance, I would easily choose this over DHI. Niche quality. One of the best designers I have encountered; highly recommended.

Someone has helplessly fallen in love with this wonderful elixir--I'm that someone! That's why I ordered my second 100-ml. bottle last Saturday, which arrived a few hours ago; it cost me $73...not cheap at all, but it's a very decent price for a soon-to-be gem (besides, my first bottle was $104). Fahrenheit absolute is one of the few perfumes that has everything I like in a fragrance; it's awesome-smelling, classy, very pleasant, original, creamy, powdery, soothing, and long-lasting (I would even say this stuff has therapeutic properties!)...it just makes me feel so happy!!! Plus, it's not cloying at all, and I reckon it can be used for warmer days as it isn't too overpowering (use 2-3 sprays at most). I don't know what else to say about this stunner; I'll just enjoy it big time. Fahrenheit absolute is a 10/10 fragrance!

Devil's signature scent! Dark, goth and beautiful!! This is an amazing fragrance, so unique and high quality! It's the scent of every bad character in any movie! It has the Fahrenheit dna but it's dark, smokey, ambery, leathery with some oud undertone. I was waiting for something thick, sweet and ambery but this is airy, has some sweetness and it's a bit dry. This is so different from any other fragrance, it's not for everyone and i think most people will not like it! Performance is great, 8-10 hours longevity and very good projection for 3+ hours. It's not very versatile, it's suited for winter or fall and better for night. This would be amazing with a total black look and a leather jacket! Overall, this is a masterpiece to me! An true niche fragrance that only a few will understand and absolutely love!

Mmmmm.....a dark, smouldering, bitter, resinous incense, counterbalanced by a touch of sweet vanilla...and, if you sniff a few times, you detect the occasional flash of the original Fahrenheit, that petroleum leather (chamomile/violet) note...but really, this has very little in common with Fahrenheit and stands alone as a masterpiece in its own right. I don't really understand why Dior did not release this as a fragrance in its own right under a different name and am sad that, like all unique fragrances, this was discontinued. When I wear this, I imagine myself in mediaeval times, an icy candle-lit monastery in winter, surrounded by monks in black habits and cowls, chanting plainsong and burning incense....this is their dark smell, the intoxicating aroma of sweet myrrh, candle smoke and animalic men.

I liked this at first sniff. And immediately got positive comments from people who effectively make their living by having good taste ... know a lot of dems.. but it was complicated...my relationship with Absolute. And I didn't care for it in Fall initially. A year in things are more stable.. I've read the reviews and I admit ! Early on there were at least two times where briefly in the open I thought...hmm essence of old man. Not an old man perfume ... essence of old man.. Now I can not smell that if I look for it. When I look for it now I get only vanilla, spice, and smokiness. It seems more wearable now and now also I think it fits the mood for Fall maybe better than for Winter. It is warm from the top to bottom so it is certainly suitable for either. This is the thing to wear to a Fall bonfire.

In 1988 when god made the perfect juice, he called it Fahrenheit. Since its reformulation, all of us lovers of that original elixir have been scrambling about in the darkness seeking the "Holy Grail" until now. Enter Fahrenheit Absolute. Nothing in recent years from Dior has lived up to the original's complex DNA until this. So what does CD do in their infinite wisdom? Discontinue. Fahrenheit Le Parfum lacks the beautiful open. The current Fahrenheit EDT lacks the depth of character. What I have currently been reduced to is layering the original formula's Afershave with Fahrenheit Le Parfum topped off with a liberal dousing of Absolute which surely approaches the nectar of original Fahrenheit. One needs to be a Nobel perfumer to approach is dilemma. Bring back this glorious juice!

It's been awhile since I smelled this stuff.. Like everything else in life you appreciate things more when they are gone. To me this was the quintessential fall fragrance. Everything about it reminded me of the Halloween season and it was one I really enjoyed wearing during autumn festivities. I liked this one better than the parfum version that is out now. Fahrenheit parfum smells more unisex to me and sometimes a little feminine. This one had more masculine notes and was more mysterious, deep, and alluring. It had this dark, Smokey incense vibe that didn't go too extreme in that direction like a lot of smoky niche fragrances. It had this vanillic blend mixed in with some of the original violet DNA that balanced it out and gave some sweetness and appeal. RIP fahrenheit absolute.

I decided to blind buy Fahrenheit absolute after reading so many rave reviews and the fact it was discontinued and getting harder to find for sale now not to mention steadily going up in price. The note breakdown made we want to get it alone as I'm a fan of incense and Oud although I don't claim to have smelled many fragrances with these notes but I own a couple. Spraying it on I was instantly impressed. the violet came on strong but only for a short while then its just smooth/warm/dark and addictive to the nose. I only get a faint resemblance to the original Fahrenheit. I tend to strike it lucky when blind buying as I do my homework first and know what notes I like and in this case I win again. Another ABSOLUTE gem I'll have to use sparingly to make it last!!!

Fahrenheit Absolute was a disappointment for me. I am a huge fan of Christian Dior perfumes. Eau Sauvage EDP is one of my favorites and Leather Oud from the "La Collection" line is my signature scent. But Fahrenheit Absolute was just "OK" for me. I liked all the notes just fine. But it was a skin scent less than an hour later. I have Fahrenheit Aqua, and Fahrenheit 32, and Fahrenheit original. I thought it just natural that I buy the Absolute. Not bad, but nothing great. I'm glad that for once I only bought the 1.7 oz. bottle. Now I'm totally on the fence about getting Fahrenheit EDP. Also this is sold as "absolute" which in the perfume making world means that it's quite strong. I guess that's what bothers me about this, I was hoping that it would be stronger.

I got a bottle of this masterpiece yesterday! It cost me $105, but I'm happy to have it in my hands because it is completely scarce, and the asking prices on ebay are freaking ludicrous; the best part is that it was the only bottle available at a store in my hometown (and, perhaps, in my country). When I smell the bottle, I feel some nutmeg, as well as violet, wood, vetiver, and incense. Drydown is so woody and creamy, not to mention how addictive it is. Duration is +10 on skin; it smells almost exactly the same as Fahrenheit Le Parfum without the rum note and with much less vanilla. I still don't understand why this wonder was discontinued. Fahrenheit absolute is a fragrance that I'm going to use for special occasions...it's incredibly delicious!

No point at reviewing this one for two reasons: it is discontinued, and it is the best. I am a woman. I wore it as my signature scent throughout a very important period of my life, and I loved every moment of it. No one ever recognised it as men's perfume on me, not even my grandma. So it was my own personal tongue-in-cheek thing that gave me confidence when I needed it. No other Fahrenheit smelt this warm and complex to me, and no other had this subtle unisex aspect, like an expensive white shirt. I have been looking for something like Absolute, have found a lot of great perfumes along the way, but nothing that would resonate so much.

Fahrenheit = "I enjoy being a man". Fahrenheit Absolute = "I LOVE BEING A MAN". Definitely for the manly man with some class, this is a dead-ringer for a signature scent. I don't want to cuddle with anybody when I'm wearing this. I want to fire shots at the pistol range, play some 9-ball, toss a few darts, throw back some Stella Artois or tequila shots and enjoy the boy's night out. But I'm pretty sure that the women I'd run into on their girl's night out wouldn't mind getting closer to a polished gentleman wrapped in Fahrenheit Absolute. Hmmm... The thought of cuddling while wearing this isn't such a bad idea, after all... lol

One of the best fragrance around and it's a shame it got discontinued and replaced by le Parfum (wich is overall a very nice scent too). It smells like a high class perfume, rich, refined, dark and mysterious. This is definitely a precious gem in crystal case and I guess it's not for everybody, especially who think that FA is a turd in a punch bowl fragrance (one of the most idiot comparison I've ever heard), maybe who wrote this kind of bull***t has a very acid skin that reacts bad to this fragrance. That's why we see this kind of silly reviews. By the way Fahrenheit Absolute is A LOT better than le Parfum without a doubt.

The weight of the smoke from the burning wood falls onto the seal Fahrenheit for this absolute that transforms into a fascinating smoke of incense, dense balms and a very bold dusty touch of violet, as if an attempt to see who makes the best smoke would imitate the impressive Interlude. The original Fahrenheit touch is as soft hue in a flat back, the quality of the composition is undeniable, suffers only a little more time and feel that although wood, oud wood does not appear anywhere. A pity that has been discontinued. This Absolute can be summarized as intriguing, mysterious and fascinating. Rating: 7.5

Fahrenheit Absolute is one of my favorite fragrances. I have started today my last bottle of it (I bought it as soon as I knew it had been discontinued). As others have wondered, why do they discontinue gems like Fahrenheit Absolute? Dark, resinous, mysterious. It's more of a winter and fall fragrance, especially suited for evening/night. Incense and myrrh, what a beautiful combination it makes. This is a heavy fragrance. Definitely not a blind buy if you're able to get ahold of a bottle of this discontinued gem. I like it better than the original Fahrenheit (which is another of my favorites).

Take Fahrenheit on a trip to the Middle East. Allow him time to marvel at all of the Architectural Wonders. Taking in the rich History & Customs, & being totally immersed into all of its Mystery. ..... he finds peace, converts to Islam, & returns to the States as Fahrenheit Absolute. Still burning with the same Petrol note of its original self, but subdued, & refined. He's darkened, & become Spiced with the deep Incensed aromas evocative of the tales from 1001 Nights. If you missed Fahrenheit Absolute, then you've no doubt missed the best Fahrenheit Flanker of the entire line.

It's like a Catholic Church in a good way. Very very unique and powerful I like this a lot better then the original which gave me a headache this is beautiful I don't have anything that smells like this it's a great addition to my collection very happy I blind bought this Edit read the review below mine about layering. I now like the original when mixed with this. Good recommendation this is awesome. I never had the op to smell the pre reform but This is a good mix the absolute overpowers that gasoline note which bothered me

The elder brother of the original Fahrenheit. While Fahrenheit can be a bit loud, brash and in your face, Fahrenheit Absolute is more refined, classy and elegant, but still retains the element of "I CAN be in your face IF you are not careful" quality. FA is very much a masculine fragrance. I get good projection and longevity on my skin. FA works well in trendy casual or a sports coat. Bottom line: If you found the original Fahrenheit a bit too much, you should try a sample of his older brother... If you can find it...

Fahrenheit absolute is pure beauty! This elixir is nothing really similar to original Fahrenheit (except for the noticeable violet note), as this one has a great deal of myrrh and wood, besides a little note of vanilla; it's got an oriental vibe, which makes it more mysterious and darker. Longevity is around 8 hours on my skin, and sillage is average. Many of us, perfume lovers, would love to see this stunning potion make its comeback on the shelves...Who's with me?!!!

By happenstance I own a handful of discontinued gems. But this is the one to rule them all. An ancient legend states that the devil himself wears this. It smells of a smoldering resin and violet and an unaccounted for dirty spice that can only be procured beneath the temple of doom. It's ever so slightly powdery thus lending a debonair quality to conceal it's true agenda in the most ironic way possible. Aptly named.

I would disagree with reviewers who consider elements of this boring or “mainstream.” I mean, it’s a designer fragrance with materials that are obviously widely used in perfumery. But as a whole, it’s pretty unique (unless there happen to be a bunch of clone frags that came out after this?) and it does have the original Fahrenheit DNA in it. It’s basically a very good flanker that smells good.

Rich, heavy, dark, mysterious and ultra smooth. Better and more wearable than the original, but easily recognisable as its cousin. Getting hard to find but the dry-down smells so close to Dior Fahrenheit Parfum that it can be quite easily substituted, with most people not readily noticing or appreciating the difference. A true classic but not worth paying silly prices to invest in a bottle.

Ozzy wear this. Dior has the knowhow to make a beautiful flankers, here we have a dark massterpiece. Thee introduce of OUD. The medicinal touch here is delicate, just to blow up the first notes and surprise you, disappear fast and the darkness go deep and sweet. a smoky myrrah with bitter sweet grow and stay there into your skin for long long hours (12h or more).

I bought this when it came out for ab $65. It took me a while to appreciate it although my female friends with expensive tastes and lives immediately complimented it. As my taste matured I learned to love it. Now that it is close and comfortable to me and I fully appreciate it for its smooth, refined, sexy manliness - it's discontinued and $300 to replace.

I have been wearing Fahrenhiet for a long time but never got around to this flanker until recently. That was a mistake. Abolutely stunning fragrance with just the right amount of skank (and I mean that in a good way). The scent is very intoxicating, niche quality. After wearing it just once I bought two more bottles. Get it while it can still be found.

I could genuinely see myself buying this for $150, the 100ml version. One of the best designer scents in my collection. It has a touch of that Fahrenheit DNA, but the star of the show is myrrh and incense, this is a very resinous, smoky fragrance, and it's incredibly classy. To me, Le Parfum is trying to be this, but it isn't as wonderful.

an excellent version of Fahrenheit that keeps his DNA but there is not church incense but much Mirra and is very similar to Fahrenheit parfum if you have Fahrenheit parfum Do not buy Absolute and vice versa performance are very good it's great for winter night.7/10. the best is the original Fahrenheit. oud?not much.

Picked up a bottle long ago, and it brings back so many memories. It's very dark and heavy on the nose, but it doesn't last that long for an "absolute" flanker. Performance-wise, I get around 7-8 hours, mostly as a skin scent. I wish they hadn't discontinued this, like the other Fahrenheit flankers.

Rather nice! I have tried this one a few times, and everytime the emphasis is on another note: the first time I got almost only cumin. The second time it was vanilla all over. Today the violet note had the overhand. Warm, spicy. Quality is good. Sillage and longevity are somewhat below average. 7/10

It's INCREDIBLE how much the LAYERING of this + Fahrenheit original (tested with a 2012 bottle) can resemble the much more heavy VINTAGE Fahrenheit! Just try it and see (Try 50/50 of each one, them 25% Absolute/75% original). Just an amazing scent, regardless of that. 9 out of 10.

Just did a review of the Fahrenheit line on my YouTube channel Dan talks scents uk 🇬🇧. I think this is the best smelling one in the whole line. For me it's sweet, spicy and a touch smokey. Christmas in a bottle. Very moderate in projection though which is a might shame.
