Happy Hour

I ordered a decant for my teenager daughter and my self to try. It is a very pleasant smell, not challenging at all. it's fruity, flowery and has a touch of creaminess in the dry down. I get over seven hours of longevity. I'd say it sits close to the skin most of the time. I feel it has the smoothness of Ambre Nuit (which I currently own), like they share a similar base, but they have completely different notes. I think it's a versatile fragrance, it's playful and it has an elegant touch in the dry down. I hope my daughter likes it as much as I do so I can order a full bottle for her, and I might keep a decant to enjoy the fragrance myself every now and then.

I’ve been looking for a cranberry scent and Happy Hour is perfect for me. It’s non offensive which I can wear to work and out with friends. It’s modern carefree and it puts me in a happy mood. It reminds me of pre-covid brunch or fun day bar hopping with friends laughing away and killing time. Longevity is decent at 5+ hours and it stays close to my skin

Nothing novel about this fragrance but it is still very lovely for both young and mature person. I usually hate fruity fragrances because of some of my experience with designer fragrances that has this screechy quality but there’s something about this that smells really fresh and fun then muted and slightly powdery after a while.

This is indeed a very happy fragrance! Nothing groundbreaking or challenging here; it's a simple joyful scent. Fruity, slightly musky and slightly floral. Like the most addictive shampoo scent, and with decent sillage and longevity for this type of fragrance.

Among the most serene and captivating fragrances, I felt a profound sadness upon learning of Dior’s decision to halt its production, and I earnestly wish for its revival.

This makes me so happy, like happy hour do to you.. A refreshing not too sweet fragrance in Dior Private collection. Love it

I love this one. Easy to wear and lovely.

Red Berries (almost gummy bear-ish) + gorgeous Creaminess + Ylang-Ylang sunny yellow floral + Powder + Soap + Jasmin white floral + smallest touch of White Musk Extremely youthful & pretty smelling!! It smells gorgeous, but does run along the lines of smelling like a really good laundry Fabric Softener. :/ And yet, i have to admit, i really love the scent! lol I mean, a really yummy Fabric Softener is great smelling on clothes right? :D Which also means it smells synthetic - good quality synthetics though. This fragrance "Is what it is", you either love it or dislike it. Which means just test it first. But if im paying money for a perfume i don't want it to smell like Fabric Softener otherwise people just going to think you do a great job doing your laundry!...lol 3/5 Woofs!

Blind buy as I thought it would be Eau Delice but on my skin it is not. The musk is much stronger. I can smell the creamy soft berry but unfortunately the sillage is as poor as in Forever and ever. I must say I like Dior fragances but the last few years I have a big problem with the sillage and longevity. Maybe I am getting anosmic to some fragances. 2e review I don't know what happened but I can say the longevity is improved and I can smell it after 12 hours and more. The musk is still a bit much but I am happy to have a FB of it. Anyway I am still searching for Eau Delice...

My quarantine fragrance. Cozy and happy. Projection is not as good as its counterparts but that's ok with me as I am home. Wouldn't wear it at formal events but might work as a safe office wear at its breezy and inoffensive. Floral fruity safe everyday wear.

Beautiful blend of ylang ylang and berries, with jasmin on the side. Quite musky, typical of Dior. Lovely scent. Alas it only lasted ten twenty minutes on my skin. At least it lasted longer on clothing.

These notes remind me of a holiday air freshener, and sadly this smells like it comes from an aerosol can. Surprised this came from Dior.

I'm impulsive when it comes to scents. If I like it I buy it. This one has tortured me. The price tag is a bit hefty but you are getting 4.2 oz so it can be a little bit justified. However, is it worth it? Do I love it that much? I do like it a lot but it has zero projection. Within a few minutes it's gone. You need to hold whatever you sprayed, your wrist, your blouse up to your nose to detect it. This one, one can be as generous as one wishes, it doesn't seem to have the ability to ever be overdone. It will become a whisper before you know it. It is similar to forever and ever. That one is a little bit more flowery and last significantly longer. I have a full bottle of forever and ever and get compliments. It doesn't last too long but long enough that it was worth it to me. I really do like Happy hour but it so incredibly weak, it's just not worth the $220, at most $60 for how poor it performs. It is a lovely scent for the few minutes it lasts.

There are no notes or information listed here about this fragrance; so this is from the Dior US site (it's also available to purchase online, along with the other 2018 formulations, but they won't be in boutiques until late June-early July): "I wanted to evoke the carefree age of youthful folly. The scent is sharply sweet like a cranberry. Sparkling, almost insolent, at its fresh floral heart are Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. It's the perfume of a lovable woman and has the taste of happiness." - Francois Demachy Cranberry accord. Jasmine. Ylang Ylang. I guess it's supposed to smell like lady enjoying a Cosmopolitan :)

Love the idea, and went out of my way to find a sample. This is a spritely fruity floral, and while it smells great, it is a little generic. The cranberry note is everything I wanted it to be... realistic, tangy, sweet and sour. However, the cranberry also reminds me of winter holidays; not only cranberry sauce, but somehow of those red berries on mistletoe garlands, the smell of waxy bayberry candles, maybe even something coniferous. Happy Hour is also quite linear, and I feel it has something of a scented candle about it. I could see it being great for the right person, but that person isn’t me!

When I first smelled this I was trying to figure out where I had smelled it before and then I realised it smells very similar to Dior’s Addict Eau Delice. The notes are similar - cranberry, jasmine and ylang ylang. Eau Delice opens with a slightly more sour cranberry note but they both dry down very quickly into a smooth jasmine/ylang ylang blend.

Like an ever swirling sparkly pond of cranberry juice with ylang and jasmin petals floating along to soften the tartness a little .. The name fits the feeling this scent evokes .. happiness and youth.. simple fruity floral in dior niche quality is exactly the kind of perfume i want to perk up my mornings with ..

Sour, laundry musk (similar to those in Cartier Carat)...oh dear...this is a train wreck. This is the intersection where synthetic materials go terribly wrong. Scent of a loveable woman and happiness? Demachy..I have worn much better from you.. ...I question your opinion of women....that...or Im Cruella DeVil.

A burst of fruitiness at the top that isn't juvenile but youthful and witty. Its underlying upbeat quality echoes the name. As it develops, Happy Hour gets blurry and powdery. Nothing complicated. It is actually quite a designer like fruity floral.

Eau Delice !!!!!! I have both of them and on my skin they are exactly the same perfume. I loved eau Delice when i was young I bought 3 bottles i have one left 😄.

-Nondescript floral. -Longevity is so poor, i can barely detect the dry-down on a tester strip a mere few hours after sampling it. -Not fbw. (-)

This is very similar with Eau Delice, more musky, less fruity(less almond), and more citrusy.

It's nice but too fruity for me
