J'adore Lumiere Eau de Toilette

To recognize the Lumiere version having only the bottle: the eau de toilette on the bottom must be in italics. If you still have the box then it will have a golden band and in italics big Eau de Toilette plus small The new eau Lumiere. 2011 eau de toilette is not in italics on the bottom. Earlier ~2000 eau de toilette has a silver neck. I have them all, and this is to compare: J'Adore Lumiere edt has less solar and abstract opening than 2011 version. It feels floral and zesty - magnolia, blood orange aspect is detectable. One can feel neroli and vanilla immediately. It is similar to the silver neck version. The scent is richer quickly and more intense than the subtle solar 2011 which is a lighter, less intense eau de parfum. I think I like Lumiere more than 2011 because, like the silver neck, it is radiant and complex. I have 2011 on one wrist today and eau de toilette Lumiere on another wrist and globally. After 15 minutes they are identical(wrists), but Lumiere projects more, globally applied, than the 2011 version worn globally yesterday. Comparing to 2011 version again - Lumiere is more refreshing and less solar with lemon nuances and neroli. I must compare it one day to the old and gorgeous J'adore silver neck eau the toilette, it seems near identical since the 2011 is warmer. I regret the bottles are now all golden. The silver neck was making the fresher eau de toilette concentration more prominent and standalone like white gold. Many hours later - Lumiere still projects beautifully. It is nearly the same as the silver neck. It is higher pitched in heart notes while the 2011 is more foamy floral and closer to the skin, also colder at heart. My current rating for J'Adore: Parfum - everything I love about J'adore but concentrated and projecting like sunshine. Eau Lumiere / edt silver neck - fresh and solar, projecting sunshiny bubble Eau de Parfum (I suppose my bottle is 2012) - bubble of sunshine J'adore L'eau Cologne Florale - super refreshing J'Adore L'Absolu - deep and woody floral J'adore L'Or Essence de Parfum (2023) - like a condensed eau de toilette lumiere J'adore Infinissime - neroli-centered eau de parfum with ylang heart J'Adore L'Or (the first one) - deep and dark does not resemble the edp at all. J'Adore Voile de Parfum - musky and windy version of the edp J'Adore In Joy - salty, maybe more summery edt twin J'Adore edt 2011 - magnolia-centered solar, but fleeting J'Adore Roller Pearl - solar, edp-like but does not last long J'Adore Touche de Parfum - evaporated from my full bottle into half of it. Lumiere is very similar to the eau de parfum and the silver neck edt version, but neroli-centered. It also lasts perfectly - 24 hours and I can clearly feel it on myself. One (not a collector) does not need both edt and edp, though I prefer the classic autumn - spring, eau de toilette spring-summer. To appreciate J'Adore one must wear it. It wears greatly.

This is a big LOVE for me! I always wanted to find a Dior fragrance that works with my body chemistry! This one is extremely simple, but extremely elegant, a fresher and lighter twist on the original J'adore. I wanted so bad to be able to wear J'adore EDP, but alas, on my skin it smells exactly the same as Marc Jacobs Daisy. It's a beautiful scent! But.. on me it smells like straight up bananas and soap..I was thrilled to try this at Ulta! On first impression, I'm hit with so much floral and very little of anything else, but as it settled I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist! It wore beautifully in the heat outside, it reminds me of a summertime garden party. It's amazing how different skin reacts to different scents... what might smell amazing on one person can react quite the opposite on yourself. This still gives me butterflies! The fresh and delicate magnolia, to the neroli, and the rose blended with citrus and vanilla... mmm it's like a dream! It's safe to say that it was love at first sniff! This beauty will certainly be on my wishlist from here on out! <3 This is a crisp, soft, ultra feminine floral fragrance without coming off too "mature", it remains nice and youthful with a touch of sparkling elegance! Scent: 9/10! Sillage: Moderate (for an EDT) Longevity: 4-5 hours on my skin!

Someone said on the J'Adore edt. review page that this is now J'Adore edt. Same notes. I was sent a sample of the J'Adore edt. and think it is gorgeous. According to Dior's website the fragrance has blood orange, magnolia, vanilla, lemon, Damascus Rose. No mention of sandalwood though. Still, could this now be what is J'Adore edt? If so, shouldn't this info be updated? Now I'm mixed up. I am testing J'Adore edt right now and it has all the same notes, minus the sandalwood, though it could be in the edt. but just not listed. I love it, would like to buy it, but want to make sure I am getting the right product. I can't do that if I am not sure of which product I'm buying. I'm sure there are other people who are having the same problem with Dior perfumes. Dior has to stop this changing nonsense. Don't they realize they're shooting themselves in the foot? Okay, I managed to get my hands on a sample of J'Adore Lumiere and it smells exactly the same as the J'Adore edt. sample sent to me by Dior. I think the reviewers on the J'Adore edt. page are right. Dior did change Lumiere to J'Adore edt. Now I no longer have to worry about purchasing the wrong perfume.

It’s been awhile since the first spray from a perfume bottle captured me completely. More surprising, in that I’ve never really been seduced by the original J’Adore - yet. But as the bottle was sitting out by itself on the perfume counter, I took advantage & sprayed liberally on my sleeveless arms. It was an instant ‘wow’ for me. It immediately had this Bright & Joyous quality that you couldn’t miss. Perfect for coming out of winter into the sunshine of warmer seasons. All the perfume quotes you hear often apply to this one. “Easy reach”, “crowd pleaser”, “compliment magnet” and even “office friendly”. An impressive silage and longevity for an EDT. If you’re looking for bright citrus with an inviting floral bouquet of fresh neroli, soft rose and magnolia, this might be the one to try. So beautifully done. It transitions through the day until I smell a soft sandalwood with a hint of vanilla at the very end of the dry-down. I could still get whiffs of it 4 to 5 hours later. An instant LOVE , that will become a Spring/Summer staple. Thank you DIOR. Truly lovely!

I have the J'adore EDT. I bought it in 2018, idk if its the same as the Lumiere. But I do own the EDT. This is a citrus white floral. The citrus here is so beautiful. It's kind of like an orange peel or lime peel type of citrus note, and a lot of that is from the orange and neroli. To me this is a classy and elegant scent, that is still suitable for everyday wear. I even wore it to my college classes and campus and got compliments. It's an adult scent that is not too mature, because its floral but very fresh smelling and citrus smelling. When I first bought it (age 20), I wasn't really into it that much. It wasn't my typical style. I was more into fruity sweet scents. Now at age 22 (2020), I love this scent. I have added florals as one of my many favorite scent categories. I worked through more than half of the bottle this year alone. Will repurchase if I can. Great for summer and spring, but strong enough for fall and winter.
