J'adore Lumiere Eau de Toilette

To recognize the Lumiere version having only the bottle: the eau de toilette on the bottom must be in italics. If you still have the box then it will have a golden band and in italics big Eau de Toilette plus small The new eau Lumiere. 2011 eau de toilette is not in italics on the bottom. Earlier ~2000 eau de toilette has a silver neck. I have them all, and this is to compare: J'Adore Lumiere edt has less solar and abstract opening than 2011 version. It feels floral and zesty - magnolia, blood orange aspect is detectable. One can feel neroli and vanilla immediately. It is similar to the silver neck version. The scent is richer quickly and more intense than the subtle solar 2011 which is a lighter, less intense eau de parfum. I think I like Lumiere more than 2011 because, like the silver neck, it is radiant and complex. I have 2011 on one wrist today and eau de toilette Lumiere on another wrist and globally. After 15 minutes they are identical(wrists), but Lumiere projects more, globally applied, than the 2011 version worn globally yesterday. Comparing to 2011 version again - Lumiere is more refreshing and less solar with lemon nuances and neroli. I must compare it one day to the old and gorgeous J'adore silver neck eau the toilette, it seems near identical since the 2011 is warmer. I regret the bottles are now all golden. The silver neck was making the fresher eau de toilette concentration more prominent and standalone like white gold. Many hours later - Lumiere still projects beautifully. It is nearly the same as the silver neck. It is higher pitched in heart notes while the 2011 is more foamy floral and closer to the skin, also colder at heart. My current rating for J'Adore: Parfum - everything I love about J'adore but concentrated and projecting like sunshine. Eau Lumiere / edt silver neck - fresh and solar, projecting sunshiny bubble Eau de Parfum (I suppose my bottle is 2012) - bubble of sunshine J'adore L'eau Cologne Florale - super refreshing J'Adore L'Absolu - deep and woody floral J'adore L'Or Essence de Parfum (2023) - like a condensed eau de toilette lumiere J'adore Infinissime - neroli-centered eau de parfum with ylang heart J'Adore L'Or (the first one) - deep and dark does not resemble the edp at all. J'Adore Voile de Parfum - musky and windy version of the edp J'Adore In Joy - salty, maybe more summery edt twin J'Adore edt 2011 - magnolia-centered solar, but fleeting J'Adore Roller Pearl - solar, edp-like but does not last long J'Adore Touche de Parfum - evaporated from my full bottle into half of it. Lumiere is very similar to the eau de parfum and the silver neck edt version, but neroli-centered. It also lasts perfectly - 24 hours and I can clearly feel it on myself. One (not a collector) does not need both edt and edp, though I prefer the classic autumn - spring, eau de toilette spring-summer. To appreciate J'Adore one must wear it. It wears greatly.

This is a big LOVE for me! I always wanted to find a Dior fragrance that works with my body chemistry! This one is extremely simple, but extremely elegant, a fresher and lighter twist on the original J'adore. I wanted so bad to be able to wear J'adore EDP, but alas, on my skin it smells exactly the same as Marc Jacobs Daisy. It's a beautiful scent! But.. on me it smells like straight up bananas and soap..I was thrilled to try this at Ulta! On first impression, I'm hit with so much floral and very little of anything else, but as it settled I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist! It wore beautifully in the heat outside, it reminds me of a summertime garden party. It's amazing how different skin reacts to different scents... what might smell amazing on one person can react quite the opposite on yourself. This still gives me butterflies! The fresh and delicate magnolia, to the neroli, and the rose blended with citrus and vanilla... mmm it's like a dream! It's safe to say that it was love at first sniff! This beauty will certainly be on my wishlist from here on out! <3 This is a crisp, soft, ultra feminine floral fragrance without coming off too "mature", it remains nice and youthful with a touch of sparkling elegance! Scent: 9/10! Sillage: Moderate (for an EDT) Longevity: 4-5 hours on my skin!

Someone said on the J'Adore edt. review page that this is now J'Adore edt. Same notes. I was sent a sample of the J'Adore edt. and think it is gorgeous. According to Dior's website the fragrance has blood orange, magnolia, vanilla, lemon, Damascus Rose. No mention of sandalwood though. Still, could this now be what is J'Adore edt? If so, shouldn't this info be updated? Now I'm mixed up. I am testing J'Adore edt right now and it has all the same notes, minus the sandalwood, though it could be in the edt. but just not listed. I love it, would like to buy it, but want to make sure I am getting the right product. I can't do that if I am not sure of which product I'm buying. I'm sure there are other people who are having the same problem with Dior perfumes. Dior has to stop this changing nonsense. Don't they realize they're shooting themselves in the foot? Okay, I managed to get my hands on a sample of J'Adore Lumiere and it smells exactly the same as the J'Adore edt. sample sent to me by Dior. I think the reviewers on the J'Adore edt. page are right. Dior did change Lumiere to J'Adore edt. Now I no longer have to worry about purchasing the wrong perfume.

It’s been awhile since the first spray from a perfume bottle captured me completely. More surprising, in that I’ve never really been seduced by the original J’Adore - yet. But as the bottle was sitting out by itself on the perfume counter, I took advantage & sprayed liberally on my sleeveless arms. It was an instant ‘wow’ for me. It immediately had this Bright & Joyous quality that you couldn’t miss. Perfect for coming out of winter into the sunshine of warmer seasons. All the perfume quotes you hear often apply to this one. “Easy reach”, “crowd pleaser”, “compliment magnet” and even “office friendly”. An impressive silage and longevity for an EDT. If you’re looking for bright citrus with an inviting floral bouquet of fresh neroli, soft rose and magnolia, this might be the one to try. So beautifully done. It transitions through the day until I smell a soft sandalwood with a hint of vanilla at the very end of the dry-down. I could still get whiffs of it 4 to 5 hours later. An instant LOVE , that will become a Spring/Summer staple. Thank you DIOR. Truly lovely!

I have the J'adore EDT. I bought it in 2018, idk if its the same as the Lumiere. But I do own the EDT. This is a citrus white floral. The citrus here is so beautiful. It's kind of like an orange peel or lime peel type of citrus note, and a lot of that is from the orange and neroli. To me this is a classy and elegant scent, that is still suitable for everyday wear. I even wore it to my college classes and campus and got compliments. It's an adult scent that is not too mature, because its floral but very fresh smelling and citrus smelling. When I first bought it (age 20), I wasn't really into it that much. It wasn't my typical style. I was more into fruity sweet scents. Now at age 22 (2020), I love this scent. I have added florals as one of my many favorite scent categories. I worked through more than half of the bottle this year alone. Will repurchase if I can. Great for summer and spring, but strong enough for fall and winter.

A delicate white floral fragrance with sparkling citrus and a touch of creamy vanilla and sandalwood smoothing the composition out. There is a little bit of soapiness that adds an effervescence to this scent like the bubbles in champagne. It is just lovely! I think Dior made a mistake by eliminating the name Lumiere in favor of J'Adore edt, as Lumiere describes this scent so perfectly. It really is a luminous scent. I love wearing this radiant perfume year-round but find it performs better in cold weather on me than in warm. It's also more full-bodied and smoother in the cold weather. I could see this making a good signature scent for someone who wants a versatile fragrance that can go from day to night with ease. Classy, elegant, and appropriate anywhere, anytime, in any season. A simply stunning composition.

I was on a search for a summer scent. My faves are Bottega Veneta, Tom Ford Orchid (Black & Velvet), Gucci Guilty Black and Versace Crystal Noir. I like the deep moderate to large silage juices. However in the Spring and Summer they would knock out a small village. So you see I needed something softer but absolutely not white floral. Because I dont like anything too floral. Really I don't. Not even after I went through 4 samples of this juice. Still didn't like it when I called my SA at Nordstroms to order the biggest size she could find. Even she said "Really?". I never did like this. This earthy, musky, leather power lady can only say one thing...J'adore this beautifully blended floral. If the original J'adore, or Chanele #5, smells like hot monkey @$$ on you (as it does on me) give this a try.

I wanted to love her. Unfortunately she doesn't like me. I love citrus, I love neroli, I love magnolia, I often love rose and vanilla too. The opening is so blissful. It starts off as a fruity sweet floral and pulls me in. Then the drydown becomes all sandalwood which is too woody and kicks me out like a disrespectful, and regrettable, one night stand. I would gift this to someone. I would definitely recommend it to others, but as I previously stated, my nose couldn't handle that overwhelming woody dry down. I gave her 5 skin tests. I even tried layering it with Jo Malone Scarlett Poppy hoping the vanilla in that would soften the sandalwood. Sandalwood once again won that match. I grabbed Dior Blooming Bouquet so I was able to take home something from this house.

I got this one recently and I love it! I don't know what it is about J'adore line, but I think every flanker in this series is so well structured and high-quality... Honestly, I prefer the flankers than the original EDP. J'adore Lumiere EDT is a high-quality citrusy-floral scent. Yes, it resembles the original EDP, but on top of that also it's more fresh, less intense than the classic... At the beginning you can smell lovely citrus accord (mainly due to the blood orange note), it quickly fades away though and we are left with the floral, feminine, classy scent, which lasts for hours. It certainly makes a great summer scent, but I also intend to wear it during fall and spring. Francois Demachy did a great job again!

I love this version good God its amazing and the longevity and sillage is more than average to moderate. its fresh and floral and its quality for sure. im a huge fan of the original, and to say the least this is my second favorite from the line of j'adore. this version does not have the woody dry down, you know the one that could turn soapy, which I think the original has a little. definitly a fragrance worth buying, and its something most people find in offensive.

This is a review for the current J'Adore EDT (formerly known as J'Adore Lumiere). Tested this afternoon and, 4 hours later in the sweltering London heat, this is still as sparkling and refreshing as champagne with a deep floral bouquet, with a generous splash of blood orange juice. I am in a cool cloud of fragrance that is quite delightful to the senses: a joyful yet calming tonic in the heat; yet I can imagine it being a pleasure to wear in all weathers.

Lumiere Eau de Toilette is the perfect twist on the Original. Its very feminine, classy and elegant. A very bright, sparkly scent that should liven up any ladies mood. It is an attractive scent that radiates confidence. Lumiere is so well blended together , all the notes match perfectly. any time i have this perfume on i feel very polished. Silage and longevity on me are really good. 8-10 hours . This would be a perfect gift for any woman. x

After reading the reviews and testing it at Douglas I decided to buy it. I love J'adore perfumes and I must agree that we can recognise a member of the J'adore family anywhere. J'adore lumiere reminds me J'adore EDT but Lumiere is softer, moderner, less fruit and more floral. I still have a bottle of J'adore L'absolu that is too strong for some inside places. I thing J'adore lumiere is perfect for the spring and summer days.

The name of this scent is being discontinued. The same scent will still be available as J'Adore eau de toilette, according to Dior. It is original J'Adore eau de toilette that has been discontinued as a scent for over a year now, also according to Dior. You can still find the J'Adore Lumiere flankers at stores until they run out of stock everywhere, but don't fret because it has just been relaunched as J'Adore edt.

as i guy...i still rock Eau Lumière. tie between Parfum D'eau and this one as my personal favorites. fresh, citrusy, soapy clean floral scent. projection isn't great, longevity on my clothes pushes a good 4-5 hours which isn't bad for an edt. put this bad boy in a travel sprayer, and pretty much anyone would like it.

Sheesh I love this! I didn't expect to love it as much as I do, but the magnolia/lemon/rose is just chefs kiss. It's refreshing, clean, and easy to wear. Definitely an easy grab for every day, and it has a beautiful scent bubble that will definitely get you some compliments. It's absolutely lovely.

I'm not a fan of magnolia at all. It's usually way too sour for my tastes but at the right temperature in this fragrance it is smooth, crisp, slightly sweet, airy, it's just lovely so very lovely. It blends very well with the other notes, they really get along quite well. It smells soooo good!

Just want to update everyone that this is officially J'Adore EDT. I contacted the company and was told that J'Adore Lumiere has been renamed J'Adore Eau de Toilette. The Lumiere named flanker is being discontinued but the wonderful scent isn't. Fragrantica needs to update this information.

(I'm not sure if the bottle I have is Lumiere - it just says J'adore EDT. Seems like this was renamed?) Younger sister of the original. Yes, smells like I just had a long shower and finally washed my hair. Sorting this under the "male gaze" scents, as in the perfumes that men like on me.

Regular Jadore works well in hot summer heat. Jadore Lumiere not so much. I didn't notice the beauty in this until the weather cooled to the 60s. It's very pretty and the dry down is sweet and warm. I love it 💖

Ha ha... I made the mistake of assuming this was a normal eau de toilette, and sprayed this all over me when I first opened the bottle. It was suffocatingly intense, and my young son said I smelled like medicine. The experience was so floratizing, that I had to wait two whole weeks before trying this with a lighter hand. Although this is an eau de toilette, it is stronger than most of my eau de Parfums, so worth the expensive price tag. A lovely J'adore scent, mostly white floral, like the original. The hit of blood orange at the beginning makes it fresher, but I would not call this a fresh perfume. This is super white floral. I don't get any vanilla. I do get the vanilla in the original, and although it's listed as an ingredient, I really miss it here. I think I prefer the original, because of the stronger vanilla, but this is a lovely flanker.

It reminds me so much of my mum's first J'adore but in a more light and soft way, maybe let's say more natural compared to the EDP but as I can see there are so many reformulations and editions, classic for Dior house. I like it and you know what? For an EDT it has a very nice lasting power and...sillage? I didn't spray on skin. I just like it but of course I am not dying compared to my favorite Miss Dior Eau de toilette that praying to God so never ever will face any reformulation/relaunch or whatever you wanna call it. Dior is the best on perfumes, that's what I know. It's neroli and patchouli notes are the best ever experienced till now. On J'adore EDT Lumiere and newest edition I guess, magnolia is the star combined with light citrus/neroli/floral notes and for sure a sandalwood ending. Very feminine, 'sunny' and mummy type for my taste.

This is a J'Adore along w/ the new all natural flanker that I can wear. It is a much lighter version of the original and the many flankers that have come from this very popular fragrance. It isn't screechy like the original and the many flankers but it has the same DNA just toned wayyyy down. It also reminds me of a toned down Chanel Gabrelle Essence which I also find screechy. A lovely ladylike magnolia, neroli, citrus rose perfume. Easy to wear and enjoy in the hot weather. You will smell clean and fresh but like a perfume and not like laundry detergent.

I just received this (bought online from Nordstrom) - so, only have had it on for about 2 hours. So far, I'm surrounded with magnolias and roses, with a bright citrus (blood orange?) top note - Lovely, I keep enhaling, enjoying this enchanting cloud of fragrance - Can't wait to wear it when we are out with friends and dinner partners - I'm thinking J'Adore Lumiere will be noticed, but not at all intrusive. I'm a big rose fan, and also magnolia, so I felt very confident this would be to my liking. Definately for spring and summer!

I’m rather shocked that I like this perfume so much. I love it’s completely unrelated cousin L’Or, but I have a strong dislike for the original, which smells absolutely terrible on me. This one is so beautifully floral and feminine. Pink, but beautifully pink. Very soft and gentle. Upon dry-down I do smell the original in it, except I like it, I can’t believe that I like it! I’m curious to see what this would smell like layered with L’Or.

I tested it today and I liked very much the first 5 minutes; the top notes are really great! After that, nothing extraordinary, it turns a bit common. Maybe I buy it, it's elegant, light and innofensive, good for work. But not sure yet. Edit: tested it again today. Yes, the first 5 minutes are great, but I'm not gonna buy it, too inexpressive drydown. And to be true, original j'adore is much better.

Typically 'beautiful', softly bright, aromatic floral, more watery than blooming. Pink violet bouquet, flowers hugged by a soft,untextured,well cut fabric, not meadow flowers. Tender depth, hints of powder, some unexpected saltiness. Wouldn't call it citrucy, more airy floral. Long lasting.

The is rose, citrus, vanilla and magnolia on me. On my skin it's more rose and citrus, but on my clothes is sandalwood and vanilla cake. I don't think I've ever had a fragrance smell so different on my clothes when compared to my skin. I like it on both though. It's very pretty!

This one is much lighter than the original J'adore and it's a lot more pleasant and enjoyable to me, but I think I tend to just do better with lighter florals than heavier florals. Apparently if you buy J'adore EDT then the Lumiere version is what you are buying now.

To my nose it smells classy & elegent. The bottle is absoutely gorgeous. Men find it 'alluring'. And it is out of my expectation that Lumiere receives more compliments from men than Alien (which is mostly reviewed as 'seductive') or any gourmand perfumes!

One of the most adorable declinations of J'adore. A bright explosion of magnolia. Very floral and feminine, delicate but at the same time with a strong personality. I can't help but associate it with the sun and the optimism it inspires.

Ideal for summer - cool and not overwhelmingly sweet. It is not at it’s best in winter time. Imagine, you are at the beach in South of France, sipping glass of rose, you feel that refreshing sea breeze with hints of summer flowers.

This is a really delicate scent! The opening has some citrusy freshness, and as it dries down, it develops into a clean, but yet not too soapy neroli with hints of rose.

i love the citrus notes. vanilla & sandalwood give good long lasting to j'adore lumiere.

It's fine smells like the original.

I just liked it okay. Only wore it a couple times. Due to just not reaching for it, I gave it to my sister. She thought it would be just like original J'Adore, which she didn't care for, but she tried it and loves this one. She's already halfway through the bottle and it's only been a couple months.

Interesting to see so many people love this fragrance. On me, it smelled like a bouquet of white flowers drowned in an old bottle of Barbie perfume from the late 80s. Not my jam. People who like this do seem to like how feminine it is and I'm not a huge fan of overly feminine fragrances. Also, it had a very short life on my skin (which I was thankful for in this case).

I tested this perfume a few days ago. It's extremely similar to the other perfumes in the J'Adore line and has a fresh, floral vibe that will make it appropriate for Spring. If you're a fan of other J'Adores and like fresh scents then I'm sure you'll really like this. It's not my cup of tea though.

Sprayed in the department store when it first came out and loved it, but every time I buy it, I hate it. Don't know what's going on here. When I wear it but just smells disgusting, like foul fruit and it makes me nauseous. To bad, cos loved it the first time. Why?

Top notes are nice, but middle notes are hardly bearable, because this magnolia smells in very cosmetic way. I mean - quite chemical. Later it gets slightly better, but not good enough to like it.

Unfortunately Ive smelled this in restrooms, cleaning product. I prefer the J'Adore in Joy, it smells so much better on me than this.

I tried a sample because I love magnolia and jasmine, and those notes were nice for a second, but in moments, a harsh chemical scent took over. I notice this effect in designer fragrances about half the time, and there’s no way of knowing ahead, so that’s why I wanted to comment. Because of the white floral notes, I was hoping for a lighter composition like Pure Poison, which I love.

I was going to buy the original but, after spraying each on the back of my hand, this Eau De Toilette was more intense and smelled better with my body chemistry. Without telling them which was which, I asked two different sales associates to smell and tell me which they preferred and they both chose the hand that was sprayed with J'Adore Lumiere. Although I prefer perfumes, this is the longest lasting Eau De Toilette I own thus far. Unlike others, I don't have to smell my wrist just to get a faint whiff. I have worn this for 8+ hours without the need to reapply. It has good sillage. My husband keeps sniffing and complimenting me so it's definitely a keeper!You can wear this day into the evening but it is not a dark night on the town scent. Although they don't share the same notes, something about this reminds me of Chance Eau Tendre and Coco Chanel Mademoiselle but still unique in its own way. If you are looking for a sweet, citrus floral that's not too heavy and you can probably wear most of the year, then I think you should consider this beautifully crafted fragrance by Dior.

A colleague of mine came in wearing this scent and I immediately recognized the J'Adore DNA (the original J'Adore is her signature scent), but knew it was different. She told me it was the Lumiere flanker and I was amazed because I smelled this as a sample from Sephora (the carded kind you peel back to reveal drops of fragrance) and it instantly felt like an ice pick up my nose when I smelled it at the time. On my colleague, this smelled like a pink candy coating innocently wrapped over the robust heart of J'Adore and I must go to Sephora to sample it now because it was divine on her! I might be disappointed, though, because the original J'Adore smells beautiful on her and smells like I bathed in liquified gold bars, LOL! EDIT: Waaahhh, this one smells like rose gold metal on me! :( Guess I'll just have to smell my colleague from here on in to enjoy J'Adore in all its various incantations...

I'm especially crazy for a new fragrance when spring is coming. So I pounced on this new J'adore the first day it appeared in my local cosmetics store. Somehow, upon the first couple of testings and sniffings on the inside of my wrist, I don't get the blood oranges (but I do get them in my current fave, Chanel Chance Eau Vive), and I don't detect any lemon, or any roses, for that matter... Perhaps all the layers and ingredients are blended so well together? What I do smell is a definite, unmistakable J'adore family member. And plenty of flower, maybe jasmin, or gardenia, or is it the magnolia? Definitely worth exploring again, next time will spritz it as I usually use perfume, to understand this fragrance better and to see if I can live a day in it. A must-try for all J'adore lovers, looking forward to what other reviewers think!

I am unsure if i have the old eau de toilette version or this one - i read that the toilette version has been this one for some time and i checked my batchcode which said my bottle was from 2018? Can anyone tell me if it is the toilette or the lumiere version? Anyways all i can say no matter which version i own, it is for sure a more fresh and floral version to the balsamic EDP. I was confused when i first sprayed because i smelled a mix between J'adore EDP and Dolce by Dolce Gabbana, and i came for the J'adore alike with more freshness. Yesterday i wore it and in the evening i rubbed my neck to smell what the base of it would smell like, and i was happy to recognize the DNA of J'adore! Go for it ladies, if you miss a more fresh and subtle version of J'adore.

Very beautiful and feminine fragrance, fresh citrus floral. Very good silage especially for an EDT 9/10. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long on my skin 3 hours maximum. I expect more considering the price of such Dior fragrances. Will definitely buy it if I see it going cheap, but when does Dior ever go cheap? Really like this fragrance it is sensual and has that little something about it for me. It is warm inviting and feminine and fresh. There is no pepper or patchoulie etc in this. Fresh citrus floral and some woods that is all. No potentially offensive notes at all. Which makes it a safe gift for anyone and everyone Fragrance scent= 7/10 Silage= 9/10 for an EDT Lasting power= 5/10 Bottle= 5/10

It’s October 2020 and I just got this in the mail (ordered straight off the Dior website). From what I understand, this newly launched EDT is the same composition as J’Adore Lumiere EDT. Here’s what I know for sure: I LOVE IT. It has soft, bright citrusy top notes and then a creamy white floral with vanilla middle and base notes. It’s so lovely and fresh. Definitely something that can be worn every day as a signature scent because it’s not cloying or overpowering at all. I used to own the original J’Adore because I had a French friend who wore it, and she always smelled so good. Well, on me the original was a little too heavy. This J’Adore Eau De Toilette is perfect.

I haven't been one to pick up this perfume line, I'm more into the miss dior and Chloe until i accidentally purchased this one for my Mum instead of the original she loves so dearly. My goodness i am HOOKED, this is such a beautiful fragrance, not too floral, there is a freshness and almost t A woodiness to it. This is what I like to call my late lunch date scent as its strong, it lasts, lingers and radiates off your skin but isn't too overpowering but will leave a good impression. Such a pretty but extremely sophisticated type of frangance, I really am in love with this, this is certainly top of my list and I own alot.
