J’adore Touche de Parfum

I have to randomly rant again about this perfume and the literal crime(!) that is Dior discontinuing this absolute masterpiece. It's one of those rare perfumes that instantly triggered a myriad of emotions, memories of the past, and a vision of the future in my mind. The one perfume I owned that would last on me for over 12 hours, evoke extravagance without being excessive, open on a golden, seductive and sultry note and dry down to a milky white softness by the morning, just in time for me to luxuriate in it as the rays of sun wake me up. I literally got ASMR goosebumps/frisson experience from this magical perfume oil, wearing it almost felt like an out-of-body experience on certain occasions. This was evocative of so many fond memories for me...a sunset on the dunes, an evening in a garden by the Nile, a night at the opera in Paris, an enveloping, warm, rust-coloured coat I wore on a date night on a snowy January night, a crisp early summer sunrise...

I have over 70 perfumes in my collection and thus far, this is the only perfume I've felt compelled to write a review about! Firstly, the mechanism of the perfume applicator is quite clever and the bottle itself is a stunning work of art. I'm a perfume novice when it comes to detecting certain notes, but I can tell you, this is a very complex composition. It's very warm, rich, creamy, velvety and soft. This perfume has many different layers. I can smell differences from when first applied all the way to the drydown and every step in between. Beautifully, carefully crafted of high-end ingredients and it makes me feel beautiful. The longevity is unlike any perfume I've ever had. I smell it all day long. I dabbed it on last night and smelled the MOST AMAZING drydown notes this morning. Truly a magnificent product. Nothing out there compares to this. Period.

Wow. What a masterpiece. J’adore Touche de Parfum has been my favorite perfume since the first time I tried it back in 2018. At first I was skeptical because I have never liked the original J'adore or any of the other flankers for that matter. But this smells nothing like it, and that's a great thing in my book. For me, this is an evocative, incredible blend of notes that play perfectly together. It feels appropriate regardless of season or time of day, and that's rare. What that means I guess is that, oddly enough, it does not feel like a perfume. It's more a feeling than a scent, at least for me. I hope this never gets discontinued, that would be a shame. I can't tell you how many times smelling this on my skin made me smile. I also get ASMR triggers from the smell of this perfume.

I get a strong Samsara vibe from this one. Don't get me wrong, they're not *close relatives*. But there's something about the smooth creaminess that has a percentage of common DNA. This is on the lighter side, it's more floral and even has something that smells slightly citrus, even if not listed. But Samsara is the deeper one among the two, and the sandalwood "clings" to the nose somehow. It's like molecules that are still stuck in my brain seconds after I stop smelling. This one doesn't have it, but in case you love Samsara but either you or the ones around you complain about it being too overpowering, "old" or sweet, give this a try. Really classy sandalwood dominated floral. EDIT: 24 hours later, it turned into the faintest skin scent....24 HOURS LATER though!

This is the oil I wear on my skin, jasmine, musk and a hint of smoked whisky barrel and it seriously lasts ! It's deep and rich and very sexy. It's not young, brash sexy though, this is more, its the flash of the arch of a stockinged foot , a stolen smile from across the room, a glance from a lover you once knew years ago....a woman who dabs this on her pulse points doesn't need to be too obvious. The colours and clothes I associate with this perfume and try to wear to compliment it are knee high brown prada leather boots, vintage fox fur coat in mahogany, a leather skirt, caramel max mara coat and white and gold accessories. It's autumn and early spring in Paris and Montreal.

The first good new: It doesn ́t smell like J ́Adore, but more like J ́Adore Parfum de Essence L ́or, the best of this line. The second good new: the flacon is the most innovative I have ever seen. Seems like a pump flacon, but when you open the bottle, you pump the juice in the cap and dab it with the cap wherever you want. Beautiful sweet Dior classy scent, one of the better quality, as it smells the whole time good. What are the bad news? - Well, the longevity is about 5 hours on the skin only and the price is 90 € for 20 ml. I will stick with my J ́Adore Parfum de Essence L ́or, that is for sure!

I am very lucky to have this little gem in my collection. I really like the concept behind it and the mechanism of the bottle. It can add a little variety and also give your regular J'Adore a more refined touch (pun intended, heh). Longevity is 8+ hours for me. And if you don't own/like the regular J'Adore, you can successfully layer it with other perfumes or wear it 'as is'. I'll have to admit that I've been shy about combining them directly on skin, I prefer to use Touche de Parfum on my skin and the other perfume in my hair. This can also yield interesting results.

Truly understand now why it may be wiser to have a backup if you really really like a perfume. I got this when it was available and somewhat reasonable. Regret not getting a backup. You can not describe this incredible creation. At the time I could never believe this would get discontinued. whether it was really an original creation or it existed somewhere before so fearing plagiarism they took this off .. I do not know.

Recently tried Samsara by Guerlain as it's been mentioned as a possible dupe for this. It's good, but not perfect. It only reminded me of Touche de Parfum after 3-4 hours on the skin once the top and middle notes were gone. It's definitely not a replacement for Touche de Parfum for me. I wish I could find someone to just custom formulate this for me using different perfume oils.

Truly sad this got discontinued. I'm having a really hard time finding an alternative - it's a fascinating perfume. Most that come close to it in formulation also have notes I don't enjoy, like coconut or tuberose. If anyone has a suggestion for an alternative, please post about it.

This is amazing, my favorite so far of the J'adore flankers. Excellent sillage and longevity. Such a sensual scent. I actually enjoy this one as much alone as I do layered with the other J'adore scents. 5 stars on this highly innovative perfume.

Reading these reviews and others made me blind buy this. Similar to L’Or 2017, Touche de Parfum is possible to like even if you do not like regular J’Adore. The best part of Touche is it’s clever little bottle and interesting oil dispenser. This is the fun novelty aspect of it. The scent itself is fine, but again, similar to L’Or for me because it’s ladylike, proper and conservative. I imagine wealthy married church ladies from the south in the 35-60 age bracket. People comparing Touche to Samsara I can understand because there’s a bit of musky sandalwood in here but Samsara is miles better without a doubt (Samsara is much stronger overall and more sandalwoody - a bigger personality). Touche is a nice low sillage veil of a fragrance. You almost cannot dislike it. It’s a SUBTLE, light and sheer woody-floral/rosy- clean-musky-aldehydic scent that is so finely calibrated it makes me think of very thin women who only eat one meal per day consisting of salad with chicken breast. While wearing Touche, do I feel joyous, carefree or sexy? No. Do I feel proper and intentional? Yes. Is Touche easily likable, pretty and suited for any season or circumstance, but especially formal ones? definitely yes. 7/10 because I like the bottle and will use it occasionally (it’s only 20 mL) but it’s not especially my style.

My bottle evaporated to a half and the scent is very unlike J'Adore. Very woody and sweet. Like incense sticks. I feel sandalwood, ambrette and iris. I think it was to be layered with the other scents from the line. I originally stated that I dislike it, well I am not sure how I feel about it. It smells like a play on the J'Adore Absolu or the first L'or - both are woody. It projects quite well. The bottle is lovely minus the leakiness. The application method is a lovely gesture. It lasts well, projecting an interesting woody-sweet take on iris, hibiskus and rose. It also lasts 12+ hours and changes up during wear. Changed to like after yesterday's wrist wear.

The original J'adore was only ever good in magazine fold-outs; everytime I tried it in store, I loathed its overly synthetic & aquatic fruit accords, not to mention the florals are frail with little backbone. Although Touche de Parfum was designed as a layering tool/enhancer, I found it to be a much more accomplished perfume oil that stands out on its own! This is something I'd wear almost everyday without anything layered on top. This is the next best thing to the Extrait! Base on their pricing, you can tell which ones have more concentrated amount of those "precious floral essences" they keep advertising about: Extrait > Touche > L'Or > Absolu > the rest

Ok, I know you're meant to layer this with the original J'adore, but let me just give you a little tip: try layering it with all your other fragrances! The results have blown my mind ;)

Not my fave as the woodiness of it is really mature for me. It reminds me of a Chanel 5 who's been macerating in someone's grandma's wardrobe for 20 years. I understand it's meant for layering with other J'adore products so I'll give it a try with the original.

I'm so sorry for giving a negative review if you love this perfume .. I blind bought this (as I love something very woody and jasmine scent, yes oriental scent) and I regretted it just after I put it on my wrist... I thought the wrist was the wrong part so I put it on my waist, but all I felt was the same. Same mature scent. Back then I was 30 but it was still too mature for me, I smelt something like this in a packed train full of middle-senior aged people (I have nothing against them). The system of this bottle is very unique and beautiful but I sold it while this was new.

J’adore- Touché 😍 Mature - sultry and seductive 🔥 This is sheer classiness. Warm sandalwood beautifully blended with jasmine and rose 🌹 slightly in the background. Nuanced with amberette and musk. I love it. The ambertte is quite similar to the amberette that Dior used in the J’adore Voile. But much heavier. This is very mature smelling. It smells like money 💰 High quality oils combined in a beautiful dabber bottle. And I mean HIGH QUALITY oil. It is not a dupe of Samsara but shares similarities. Also not a dupe of J’adore L’Or since the Touché version has zero Vanille and L’Or is pretty much based on Vanille. In fact, I find this one nothing like the other J’adore’s and I own them all. The sandalwood sets this one apart from the rest. Expensive but worth every penny to me. I’ve layered this with other J’adore flankers but I think it is completely unique and deserves to stand on its own. Moderate projection and it lasts forever on clothing and about 8+ hours on skin.

My mother in law loves Jadore and because Christmas is coming I went to a shopping center today and had a chat with a very nice shop assistant. Last year my husband's mother got J'adore body cream from us so I wanted to get an advise what else from the line we can buy. I am not a fan of this fragrance but the shopping assistant was so quick and enthusiastic that I didn't manage to say anything before she put a drop of this oil on my wrist. On my way home I was sniffing myself and trying to put my finger on it. It didn't smell like J'adore at all but was something quite familiar to me. And just nearly in the front of my house - eureka! This is Samsara! Yes, on my skin, even now, 3-4 hours after applying it's Guerlain and Samsara. How strange! The price is quite high and since it's smells completely different from original J'adore we probably will not purchase it for my mother in law.

Wowsers, a little dab of this one on the wrist is giving me huge projection. Slightly vintage in a bombastic yellow floral way with a fruity opening. There's also a creamy musk and a touch of spice. I think the magic ingredients are the hibiscus and ambrette because they give the composition a more contemporary feel. I see a lot of comparisons here to Samsara, but I find Samsara more dry and powdery. Perhaps they share a similar iris/sandalwood formula though I get more powder from the rose than iris in Touche. This lady actually reminds me more of Chanel Coco minus the cloves. Sexy--and better for colder weather.

Oh, my! This is different (in a good way). It smells what I always hoped Samsara would smell like on me. Powerful, somewhat fresh but seductive aroma of a faraway land that would make me feel like an alluring goddess anointed with sandalwood powder, musks and exotic jasmine oil in some sacred ritual. The oil melds with the skin like no other and it's perfectly wearable on its own. It wears close to you but for a long time luring your 'victims' to come closer. The application gesture is pure luxury. The bottle looks like it contains some secret and powerful love potion from an ancient temple. LOVE IT!!!

I have 3 samples, almost 6 ml together. It's expensive, not exactly self-contained perfumes. In liquid / oil form. It has to conquer the smell of J'adore. I applied them to J'adore and struck more Touche note more than J'adore himself. Judging are more powdery than the original. So it raises the scent as a whole. Most musk and sandalwood mixed with rose. Gently iris in the background. Durability actually makes it better. Applying without J'adore edp Touche itself on the skin are even more powdery, in my opinion for a cooler time to withstand. The sun does not somehow. Then too musky Iris suffocates.

Hi- quick question- is this bottle is oil in a dabber bottle? If it is I tried it today, I’m not a fan. I smell aldehydes perhaps. I get the samsara likeness (don’t like), I got old tea scent, then something that’s in number 5 Chanel, and samsara. The guy might have put too much on me, we layered it after trying blooming bouquet (which Is pathetic quality)an$ this oil smothered it which I suspected it would. I couldn’t bare this I got it off with an alcohol wipe. Fantastic longevity! I can still smell it faintly some 16 hours later after removal.

I just jumped off the Indie & Niche train. This is the sandalwood layering fragrance I've been searching for! Wearing it today with Chanel Gabrielle, and my coworkers tell me I'm leaving a light but gorgeous trail of scent. Three people have asked me what that wonderful fragrance is. Looking forward to cooler weather, I plan to try it next with Scherrer 2 and then with Shalimar. Maybe Youth Dew...Hove Corduroy...endless possibilities. I don't care for the original J'Adore, but this is different, and special. My new love.

So I bought this thinking it was the pure parfum version of Jadore EDP, to me it’s not and doesn’t have the freshness of the EDP that I love, it is very strong though and lasts and lasts! If anyone in the U.K. wants to buy this or swap then drop me a message! :) also for anybody wondering it’s not actually a dab bottle, you twist the top and the fragrances dispenses into a dropper then you apply to your pulse points!

This was a surprise ... I dislike the original J'Adore, as that has melon in it, which never works for me in a fragrance. My nose doesn't detect any melon here. This is a quality fragrance where the sandalwood is what brings this whole composition together, without it being too overwhelming (as sandalwood can sometimes be). Just beautiful. If you are not a fan of the original J'Adore, then I recommend you try this.

It is amazing how different moods and placers can affect your sense of smell. After a long flight from Auckland to Dubai I was tired but wanted to go scent shopping (snopping). However I did not like this at all at the time. one year later when at home and feeling happy I fell in love. So glad I gave it another go.

I don't like J'Adore. My mother doesn't like J'Adore. But I like this and my mother loves it. I just bought her a bottle for her birthday. It's designed to be layered with other J'Adore fragrances: it will be interesting to layer it with other fragrances if Mum lets me play with her bottle occasionally.

EDITED VERSION one of the best J'adore flankers, it has superb longevity and very good sillage, extremely warm, sexy, and sophisticated, 4 drops is enough for day to night, even after showered i still can smell in on my hands, really worth for money like Oud Ispahan
