Lucky, Maison Christian Dior (USD 190 for 250 ml. bottle), I start to wonder what they put in this fragrance. It’s smell so wonderful yet refine innovative synthetic. It’s layer so well on other fragrance, givens the white floral nuances. Longevity is unreal for this freshie, it last more than 7-8 hours. With soft projection. Easily over looks, but this really innovative. ===== Edit 1 : Feb 17, 2023 I look back to my review and it seems I lack the part of scent. If we are talking about scent. It one is extremely linear. It doesn’t develop nor change. It mostly Light, Fresh, Dew White Floral And I found this is very fascinating value of Dior Lucky. Would say, I also intrigue by the name too, it's on point for a person who believe in fortune. ===== Extension 2 on Apr 22, 2024 My taste shift alot, I own this more than a year now.. I barely use it to be honest. I’m now gunky note guy, spicy Florental, strong powdery note sort-of. ...but Lucky, still in my collection. Lucky now shift to my lighter scent cabinet. I still adore. I pass my White floral journey to found my love with Gardenia, my strong companion with Amber-Tuberose and sexy amount of Jasmine - Mugget is not my jam by it is definitely the most neat floral of all. Still, Lucky is my personal best interpretation. Lucky retains most dew, fresh, youth and ozonic white floral that I can find so far. It is very airy and oxygen like. A breath of fresh air. This is why he still probably retains in my collection. ==== Extension 3 on May 13, 2024 I have an idea to compare few Mugget in my archive, being ELDO - Yes I do and Mugget Porcelain - Hermes. And still, this might be, best easy reach of all. Mugget Porcelain, who probably most authentic Mugget in my collection but it is really ask immersive experience to world of white floral near the water. Why Yes I do, given Pink Mugget that dry to clean-fabric softener like quicky. Lucky, is not musky, its linger on skin in the way as loose interpretation of Mugget. It is not authentic Mugget, but it aims to provide experience g of how mugget grown near the water should be, the loose interpretation. yeah. 9/10 due to unique aspect of being extremely good loose rendition of Mugget. However, if you are complex scent or Authentic scent lover, this could be max 7/10 for you. If I would like to dose myself in LOTV, I would apply this one..

14/2/2018 So I popped by Dior the other day, just to look around occasionally. I couldn't believe that the new exclusive line additions are already available in Singapore, while they are not even listed on Dior website yet. Singapore is often one of the first cities to get new releases, beside Dubai - and of course Paris, London, NY and HK. Lucky is all about Lily of The Valley. It is bright, sparkling, dazzled, vivid yet delicate Lily of The Valley - with a tiny bit of Orange Blossom and Tuberose boost. The entire development is pretty linear, what you get in the first 15 minutes is what you get in the next 10 hours. Yes, the longevity is robust. I love Lucky, but maybe I am a bit partial because of the name. I am more of a Jasmine and Iris person, but I would certainly pick Lucky as my go-to Lily of The Valley. The entire new additions of Dior's exclusive line, in my opinion, feels more youthful, day-versatile, pastel mood and uncontroversial compared to their more senior folks. Nothing really groundbreaking, but still nice and pretty. I think it is meant to lure in millennial fans. Nevertheless, I love the entire Dior La Collection line! It is still the best among fashion & jewelry houses. -AB-

Lucky - Christian Dior - La Collection Privée This scent surprised me, I majorly overlooked it as a generic freshy based on it's Kurkdijian minimal-esque note profile, shocked me that it was from Demachy. Then a fellow collector was selling about 1/5th of a 250ml for a price that I wasn't going to pass on, and the moment I smelled that bad boy, I knew that I couldn't judge a fragrance based on note profile alone. Lily of the valley is the most apparent note, giving an effect somewhere between a field of blooming lily's and the freshest sweetest laundry. The white florals are there to support the lily, I detect some jasmine sweetness, very slightly, the ozonic notes lend majorly to projection and add a fresh breezy feeling to the fragrance. I wasn't expecting this to last on skin, I was expecting 3-4 hours of godly performance and then a muted skin scent, that's not what went down here, I sprayed it on skin and could still smell it the next morning even after washing my hands with almond oil, remarkable performance and it lasts. My family cats name is Lucky, he gets the say if a fragrance stays, and he lovessss this!

I find the general dismissiveness from some people of Dior's 'Lucky', very odd. This is an exceptionally elegant, timeless and beautiful perfume. Yes, it's very uncompromising in its key accent - lily of the valley - but that's literally the entire point of 'Lucky'. My taste in scent is largely informed by my synergy with the time of year. Like my wardrobe, I like to adjust perfume to the season and tune my senses into the calendar. For me, 'Lucky' instantly evokes springtime - walking in a verdant woodland during early May when all the leaves have just started to create a dense dewy canopy, casting dappled sunlight. The promise of brighter, breezier and easier days ahead. Like the whole Dior Privée collection, it's overpriced - but then the same can be said of most other brands these days. I can only imagine that the muted reception from some people is because there is a popular perception that fragrance must have a KAPOW! wallop impact and be dense and invasive. 'Lucky' is a welcome antidote to that 'trendy' tendency.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s very fresh and clean smelling, I love the lily of the valley and it isn’t overly white floral smelling, if anything I find it mostly green and spring like. The ozone notes really give it more depth and makes it perfect for a sunny spring or summer day. I’ve seen some people say the perfume doesn’t last very long, I find the opposite. It’s sillage isn’t enough to be smelled 20 feet away but just enough so that when within a few feet of people I get compliments and people asking what the perfume is. It last all day for me, I put it on my pulse points, and while the sillage dissipates throughout the day you can definitely still smell it on yourself/up close. I don’t ever need use more throughout the day on this one. Francois Demachy doesn’t miss, I always find his fragrances worth the price and rarely do they interact weirdly with my skin (I wish I could do Hypnotic Poison so bad but coconut does not smell good on me).

Amongst lily of the valley perfumes, this one just may be my favorite. I have Diorissimo of course, but it's an older bottle so it's not really fair to compare it to a brand new perfume. Muguet can be so harsh on me, almost piercing, and though there are many allegedly great ones I've never tried, I can say that this one is soft and almost creamy thanks to the unidentified white florals. I still get the beautiful aroma of muguet, but without the sharpness that often makes others cheap smelling. I am basing this review off of two spritzes from a decant cannister, so I will need time to really explore it more and test longevity, silage, etc., but at this moment, I'm already considering purchasing a full bottle if one can be had for a decent price.

This perfume is unbelievably lovely and reminds me of a bunch of lily-of-the-valleys in a meadow that have just opened up in the morning on a rainy day, the dew and the raindrops glistening on their lovely petals. I think that the aroma of this is simple enough, yet unbelievable in it's gorgeous simplicity and wearable, expensive and chic smelling. I don't see how anyone would be offended at this smell and I think it smells clean and fresh, yet highly floral and a tad bit green, but in the loveliest way. I'd say it's more of a day fragrance for sure. I think that though this perfume is somewhat expensive, it's fairly good value for money with it's fairly long-lasting trail and it's very large bottle. I highly recommend it!

There was a time when I was looking for a realistic lily of the valley scent and barely found any. My first such which was very good was Muguet en Fleurs by Yves Rocher. Then the second, perhaps even more realistic, turned out to be Inflorescence by Byredo, this has also the green aspect of these most wonderful flowers that have the best (nr. 1) flower smell in the nature. I have both of these. Then I tested my sample of Lucky. Very beautiful! My experience with Diorissimo wasn't that good, that one felt quite cheap and no very apt. But Lucky has this flower on another level so to say. So I guess Lucky would be my third best in this category. Not too different from Inflorescence but certainly there is some difference.

Lucky - Christian Dior - La Collection Privée One of the best in Privée collection. Lucky is such an amazing name for this scent. Men are absolutely crazy about this kind of scent's DNA. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments from men, especially younger men. Men like fresher scents, not cloying ones, and this fragrance is elegant, feminine, and lady-like, but very youthful. Metallic/ozonic notes give a modern vibe to white flowers. It smells expensive. This scent is perfect for the office, formal dinners, romantic dates, or any occasion, except the gym (it is too strong for the gym). I wouldn't wear it during the summer, but that is my preference; I find white flowers too strong for hot summer days.

Sadly, i don’t get the hate of this fragrance :( yes, i agree it’s not a massively original blend.. but is it bad? Absolutely not! In fact i think this is one of the best creations from the MCD line. Really fresh, yet still manages to form a luxuriously creamy blend of white florals. It’s aquatic, but not screechy. It smells like freshly cut stems, with water dripping from it. It also smells regal in some way, making it seem so fancy!! I can picture myself wearing this while visiting a botanical garden, because the fragrance itself smells like a botanical garden with cool winds sweeping through the flowers.

Exquisite opening of fresh cut Lily of the Valley, what else is there to say? Spring by Dior. Settles beautifully at dry-down, ozonic and white floral. A bottle of 1.35 oz is way enough for a perfume from this line, for the cost of $125 is medium-reasonable for a luxury brand of this quality. I do not smell 1 drop of synthetic nor alcohol. When I think about it, luxury department stores perfume bottles appear “bigger” for “less $”, yet there’s not as much in quantity. This is a good price point. _____ Projection, sillage, longevity : 9/10 Originality, presentation : 7.5/10 Quality, value : 9/10 8.5/10

Judging by the color, I was expecting something herbal and masculine, but the scent that greeted my nose was a lovely surprise! It’s a fresh, juicy green-floral, on the aquatic/ozonic side, so pretty, and far from masculine! Someone below mentioned that it reminds her of the OG version of Kenzo’s Parfum D’Ete from the 90s, yes, I can sense where she’s coming from...the sweet, dewy, green juicy floral vibe is similar though they are not the same. Love it! This would be such a treat on hot days! It’s a cute, cooling scent that comes off as lady-like rather than casual or sporty.

This is so very pretty! It’s feminine and to me, it embodies Spring, Springtime, May and all the delightful things that this magical season has to offer! It is soft and green while being floral and a tad bit aquatic (not overly so). Just wonderful and beautiful!! If you have ever smelled Muguet Blanc by Van Cleef & Arpels, Lucky is similar-ish or in the same veins. Muguet Blanc is not aquatic though but it has that joyful floral vibe that I love, like Springtime is finally here! Definitely worth a try, try your luck (pun intended) with Lucky 🍀

Lucky is a soft floral... very fresh and clean. There's a hint of green as well, one that isn't offensive at all, even during the opening. It smells like I'm taking a morning stroll through a nursery!! or Ellinia from Maplestory, if it were real LOLL ;-; Unfortunately, this one's a skin scent; longevity is approximately 3-4 hours, so if you want it to last longer, spray liberally or try on clothing. I've been in search of a fresh floral for the longest time. Will probably purchase a full bottle after my decant.

i walked into bloomingdales already with a headache after a long day of fasting. with no food in my system and feeling a little nauseous/ill, i was definitely not in the mood to smell anything overly sweet and cloying. i wanted something clean. something fresh. something soothing. this satisfied every single one of those needs. my eyes rolled back a little from how pleasant and calming it was. i drove all the way home with the scent card held up to my nose. i fw this heavy.

Lucky is one of the most beautiful lily-of-the-valley fragrances I've smelled - Fresh white florals, soft musk, and a touch of green freshness create a scent that feels elegant, feminine, and effortlessly pretty. Oh yes! What a beautiful interpretation of lily of the valley. Actually, this is my favourite LOV that I have ever come across. I so badly wanted to love Diorissimo but find it to be too screechy. I feel that this may be the solution. So fresh, so green, but yet so floral and romantic. Lucky makes me feel like I am truly the luckiest girl and that I can accomplish anything. Perfect for the spring/summer months. A winner from Dior that gets better as it sits.

Nice! Lily of the Valley. I like both Muguet Guerlain and Dior Lucky, the second being a bit more complex and changes over time significantly. It is nothing like Diorissimo, nothing! I cannot touch Diorissimo without thinking of ... old. Yes, dries down soapy. Muguet dries down pure Lily of the Valley. Love it! In my opinion, more toward a feminine scent. If I were to choose, I would still go with Muguet but that is a very personal choice. Both pricey.

I don't understand how this fragrance lasted on my skin more than what I'd imagine. It radiates pleasantly on my skin and I could smell and during the next 4-6 hours on my arm. A very nice lily of the valley scent and is easy to wear. I just don't think it's worth the price considering there are plenty of cheaper alternatives. But I do admire how this particular fragrance was done and how well it performs on me. Just not worth the money IMO

yes its beautiful. yes id wear this all day and all night. but imo its so not worth the price. especially for the performance... if youre willing to pay the same money, there are tons of other fragrances out there with more character that last days. tons of others that are stronger and simply just a better return on investment. if this were cheaper it would 100% be my go to everyday, office, class scent.

The weird thing about this fragrance is that I hate it on myself but when my partner wears it, the scent trail drives me absolutely crazy. It’s intoxicating and insanely sexy with his body chemistry. I’m planning to buy a full bottle just so I can smell it on him. This perfume really shines on a warm day. The clean florals and ozonic notes cut through heat like a cool, refreshing breeze.

Lucky by Christian Dior has a well deserved spot on my favorites shelf! This scent embodies the notes I love most in perfumery; sweet, green lilies! It is elegance and simplicity in a bottle for me. It is feminine and always a compliment getter. Undoubtedly brings to mind classical piano music, Spring rain showers, and beautiful gardens. Jane Austen heroines, eat your heart out!

Fabulous, fresh, green, light and clean without smelling like soap or laundry. Almost aquatic. Breezy. A breath of fresh air. This smells like the month of May, the heart of spring, a perfect temperature day outside in an immaculately manicured garden. I gave it to my Taurus mama because a joyful lady deserves a joyful fresh scent like this one. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Lily of the valley at the beach. Windswept LOV from the ocean air gives this freshness, an aquatic tone and lift. This is perfect for spring and summer if you like green and clean without smelling like laundry musks. Very stylish. Layers well with any pink juice fragrance to give it freshness.

Very beautiful feminine leaning fragrance. Sweet dreamy floral scent , angélique and ethereal. As a man I only wear it before bed to comfort and relax myself because it's very calming and soothing. Anyhow, fragrance is very subjective, some guys would wear this anytime, without doubt.

Ozonic and watery lily-of-the-valley, gets a bit musky as it blooms on the skin, feels so clean and fresh. Feels like you're being submerged in a watercolour painting of dew-covered lily-of-the-valley flowers under a clear summer sky. Daytime, warm/hot weather only.

I've tried this scent multiple times and I LOVE it. It kind of reminds me of Louis Vuitton Imagination on the dry down, but this is way better and surprisingly cheaper. It smells very clean and I get some tea vibes from it. I WILL be getting this one day.

Pleasant just out of the shower white freshness that surprisingly lasts a long time. On fabric I could smell it over 24 hours later! The bottles also 125ml so you got a fair value per ml. Overall a good quality scent that’s light and easy to wear.

Tonight, I wore this scent on top of a vanilla almond body oil, and WOW. The vanilla is just a hint in the background, but it turns this clean, beautiful fragrance into a sophisticatedly sexy scent. Dior Lucky is a very put-together kind of sexy.

A true lily of the valley, softly feminine and very Dior. It was unexpectedly intimate, no sharpness in the green tones, perhaps the ozonic blending in? It feels breezy, chic and self assured, no need to shout for attention. Absolutely a winner.

This brings joy to my day in the morning, it’s a bit fresh, energetic. Amazing in the morning for a clean scent with some florals twist. You can definitely wear this all year round. One of my favorites from Dior Private collection.

My favourite perfume. I bought a 450ml bottle for £405. I think it works out cheaper. I bought the body gel and soap. The perfume smells so fresh. Smells luxurious and gets so many compliments. Longevity on clothing is impressive.

If there is only one perfume that a couple can enjoy, this will be it. simple, fresh, mood uplifting scent and rich at the same time. for a fresh fragrance, this one last a very long time.

Love Lucky! Smells like wearing a soft but lasting lily of the valley at the beach on a gorgeous day, supported by orange blossom. A scent of optimism.

A tender, elegant and so French perfume of lily of the valley and abstract white flowers on an original muscy and soft base. TRÈS Dior!

Love this! SIMPLE!! No weird “cinnamon-smoke-jerky-gardenia with a hint of rhubarb.” Just an aquatic floral. Refreshing!

On my skin this smells like peony, magnolia and some fruit but no Lily of the Valley

Scentality has had Lucky Esprit on his top fragrance wall for a long while and I've been trying to test it whenever I could to see the appeal (I couldn't). But a slight mix up in Japan ended up with me receiving a sample of Lucky so I thought fuck it, since I can't be bothered to exchange it, but wow, what a lucky (pun intended) little blessing. Scent: Lucky is a rather simple and linear scent that's done to almost perfection. Very realistic lily of the valley note that gives off this strong and fresh white floral scent with the undertone of soapiness and a touch powdery to really accentuate that clean vibe. As the perfume dries down after maybe about an hour or two, the white florals blend into the soapiness that create this body wash kind of smell. Honestly really beautiful yet classy and easy scent to enjoy. Performance: Nothing special sadly, lasts just an average of maybe 5 hours while projecting for about 2 hours before it slowly pulls back though you can still occasionally pick up on it in the air even as it dries. Weirdly enough, on the initial spray it really beams off my skin which shocked me as after half an hour it recedes into just an average projection. Colleagues at work (all women) have also complimented the scent trail that Lucky leaves behind although they also mentioned that they didn't expect me to wear a "woman's perfume". Versatility: It's a very dumb-reach and easy fragrance to put on in the summer and spring but I don't exactly see it performing as well without heat as the performance just dwindles. Also definitely a more feminine leaning fragrance as I've just mentioned in the previous section but still wearable as a male. Hell, I'd wear it because it smells simply divine. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 6/10 Versatility: 5/10 Personal Score: 7/10

Lily‐of‐the‐Valley (LOTV) here is exquisitely green and fresh: its bell‐shaped flowers are only just unfurling, with a tender green hue still pooling at their base. As time passes, the fragrance gains in depth, the white‐floral accords gradually transmogrifying the crystalline opening into a diffusive, three‐dimensional aura. Gardenia and tuberose lend a further creamy sweetness, while a whisper of apple blossom and white lily traces a silky ribbon around the bouquet, gently binding it together. The ozonic breeze of the top notes is soon subsumed by the leafy greenness that dominates the opening, giving the composition a quietly verdant heart. “Lucky” develops as a largely linear scent, yet this constancy in no way diminishes its elegance or its softly mesmerizing femininity. Projection is moderate, tending closer to the skin, and the sillage remains discreet rather than expansive, which makes the fragrance remarkably versatile and eminently suitable for offices and crowded spaces, in any season. I am very fond of this fragrance; however, there are a number of other perfumes that explore a broadly similar profile. Personally, I find myself wishing Dior had ventured a little further—perhaps weaving in white lilac, peony, or even a few snowdrops. Such additions might have lifted the composition into a truly luminous white bouquet, multiplying its facets and allowing them to shimmer in a more captivating and distinctive way. “Lucky” remains a beautiful creation; yet one might observe, with a touch of irony, that you truly have to be lucky to afford such a price for what is, at heart, a refined but conventional LOTV fragrance.

Lucky is a simple, linear take on lily-of-the-valley. Christian Dior was very superstitious, one of his rituals being to sew a sprig of lily-of-the-valley into the seam of his dresses for luck when presenting a new collection. Lucky is an homage to this ritual - predictably, it is a muguet scent. Diorissimo is the classic, groundbreaking muguet scent from this house, so Lucky feels somewhat pointless as a result. Still, the story behind its inspiration makes it almost worthwhile. Lucky is muguet-dominant from initial spray. It is at its most intense at its opening, with a slight muskiness, somewhat reminiscent of the animalic Hermessence Muguet Porcelaine, but is much lighter. It tapers off, mellowing into a light, dewy lily-of-the-valley scent with green nuances. It remains like so until it fades. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is fresh and crisp, airy and lightweight, ideal for spring/summer daytime wear. It is less floral and more minimal than other similar scents. I normally find lily-of-the-valley to be youthfully feminine, but given its clean freshness, Lucky is an unusually unisex lily-of-the-valley scent. However, it is overpriced for what it is, and I prefer more feminine, floral muguets like the aforementioned Diorissimo or modern gems like Dusita Cavatina/Cartier Pur Muguet. Still, Lucky is a good-quality clean, unisex muguet. Everyday elegance 3.5/5.

A very soft scent of white flowers. Cannot recall what lily of the valley smells like specifically so will take majority of the voters’ words for it that its there. Its a very soft fragrance, so soft that I would have thought that the projection would be nill or close to it. However, my sister which was about a few meters away could still smell it strongly. A very nice floral perfume with a wonderful name. I’m wearing it today for that specific reason, being Friday the 13th. But nice, though it is, its not too unique as far as normal human nose can distinguish. There are many other nicer floral perfumes out there that are friendlier to your wallet. Personally, I will probably save it for days like this and layer it with other perfumes, Amber Nuit perhaps, or maybe Oud Ispahan. Edit. After owning MCD perfumes for a while, I sort of get it that though some may appear weak in longevity and lack projection power, the scent can remain on clothing for 24hrs, weak skin scent thought it maybe.

Right away, I get freshness. But in a nice way, not a house cleaner way. There's no way I'd pay $250 for a small size though. It's not unique enough nor does it last very long. If it lasted for half the day, maybe. The whole day, of course! But... 1hr? I may as well go to Macys and buy something there. We all know longevity is the reason why we don't buy from the counter. There are some nice scents out there—they just don't last. Lucky falls into that category. It's very nice. Just doesn't last and isn't unique. Great for young women. Very fresh, green, and "clean" scent for the first half hour or so. Then, it settles into having some lily of the valley with quieter green notes and a faint earthy undertone.

Very fresh and green but not sharp. Sunny and ozonic. Definitely get the lily of the valley. Makes me think of lilies of the valley beside a cool mountain stream on a sunny day. I really enjoy this. Could work well in an office, but I feel like it needs a nicer occasion than just that. Clean, well-behaved, and elegant vibes. Downside is there isn’t much complexity, but I don’t think that’s what this fragrance was intended for. As time passes, it begins to just smell like nice clean white soap (like a bar of original dove soap). I wish it retained the ozonic and floral quality as the hours pass. Really hate the bottle, so uninspired and boring. Doesn’t do the scent justice.

what do i think about this ? Very well done round type of fragrance. If you like white dove soap then get it because that is what this smells like, just like a refined soap bar. To be fair it smells really good and clean, this is an every day fragrance you could perfectly put in the office. Simple, linear and clean. Not overprojectin but on the downside Not long lasting. I find myself giving this a 7/10 just because the bottle is too expensive for what you get... I just expect something more at this price range to be fair... Totally Unisex, (soap is not female leading !! )

This is a very nicely done scent. It is light, refreshing, yet comforting. It evokes an image of a late spring day when all the windows are open and white cotton curtains are blowing from the wind, which is bringing in the subtle scent of the blooming flowers outside. I could easily see this being someone's signature scent. However, This is super expensive. I cant see it as a scent that justifies the cost. Leau D'Issy EDT by Issy Miyake smells very very similar to this. It is much less expensive and lasts quite a lot longer on my skin at least.
