Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Roller Pearl

I got this as a present when I was teenager. Didn't like it, so my mother put it in her drawer, in case I ever wanted to go back to it (she herself didn't like the scent). I grew up, matured, moved away, and then realized that I kinda want it back. Since then, it's been my everyday go-to perfume. I think it's very pleasant on its own, this fun and yet sophisticated musky rose. I usually use it as a base for my other floral perfumes layering - the rose note in it is so versatile, most of the time it goes very well together. I've been using it every day for 2 years and I only recently got to the second half. The only thing I want to point out for anyone who's considering the purchase, is to be extremely careful with taking it with you. Maybe I wasn't careful that day or it got damaged (it's kinda old so I wouldn't be surprised), but one day it just unceremoniously leaked in my purse. I liked to touch myself up during the day, so it was upsetting to say the least.

The roller ball is made out of an oily substance as if its suspended in oils as apposed to being suspended in alcohol like the perfume EDP is. I'm assuming it will go bad before my liquid bottles (yes, I have 4-after it was d/c I stocked up). The rose note is slightly more potent but other than that, the fragrance is the same. I usually layer with the roller ball and then spray over top and then reapply the rollerball throughout the day. I always get complements on how I smell nice when I wear this one, Delina and Hibiscus Mahajad. Spicy & sweet, fruity Rose scents just suit me very well.

Still love this (Cocolover56) but also wanted to come back and comment on how the bottle itself lasts. I purchased this in April of 2018 and it's still going strong, with just under half left. I don't use it much, but I used it enough for there to be skin residue or moisturiser residue in there. There doesn't appear to be either of these things and the only difference is that the colour seems a bit darker. It still smells fabulous and lasts well over 10 hours on me. This is worth every penny and well outperforms the original EdP spray. It is very clearly not the same.

Coming back to say how surprised I am! (DT953) and this is just getting funny now. It's lasted 7 (maybe 6) years for me now and only gets better with age. As me and Tishirl43 both said, it also got darker (and prettier, in my opinion). So musky, so rosey 😍 @blossomlove, you shouldn't have to worry as long as you keep it out of sunlight and humidity: this lasts a LONG time. The applicator also ensures that no more than needed is applied so a bottle should also last longer than you think.

I got this because I couldn't afford the spray. Is it good? Bloody oath it is! It lasts so long, too! $75 for 20mL that lasts longer than the edp ... worth it Every bit as beautiful, just longer lasting Will be getting Blooming Bouquet too

Loved everything about how this looked on paper and thought it would be something I'd love based on the description/notes/Miss Dior DNA. Not true, though. It is very sweet (which I like for summer), but there's a woody/greenish note that develops on me. I can nearly taste it and it's not good, like tannins. Maybe that much pink pepper does weird things with my chemistry? At any rate, after about 2 hours, it's pretty mellowed-out and mostly just fruity-sweet for me. I may have to return or exchange it. I don't think I will wear it 2 hours to get something I just "like" when I have fragrances I love from the onset to the last whispers of scent. Longevity was good. Sillage was moderate. I didn't notice a LOT of changes or development as it wore on, but I definitely would not call this a linear fragrance, either.

It is such a cute scent. This perfumer is in my top 3. This little beauty I bought for handbag when you cannot wait in the afternoon to dress yourself in a girly and cute scent but wanting to be neutral at work first. It projects o.k. The bottle is sturdy and pretty. The scent is dreamy. Everything listed here. I feel the rose and raspberry and musk. But there is pomegranate and black currant, too. Oh and pink pepper tears through the sweetness. Girliness bottled. Feminine candy. Close to love from me. I think it differs from the edp, it is lighter and girlier.

I will always love Dior, they are super iconic. I had this perfume on me for a while then I ended up losing it :(. But I really love this perfume its super sweet and loving to have. It makes me happy lol.

Argh...I have this and it is too syrupy sweet and patchouli heavy,it reminds me the miss Dior 2017 version which is I also find difficult to use for the same reasons-[mind you I love the edp 2012 version,the edt (pre 2019 version), the edt Cherie, the blooming bouquet(original version,not the newest), but these two are just so much in your face and aggressive for my taste].

Beloved Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. The notes of this perfume are not the most unique but come together for a truly one of a kind experience. To me it’s intoxicating, the roller ball is especially so, it is a tint but different to the EDP and in my opinion the roller pearl is superior. Pink pepper is perfection in this, blended beautifully with the tart fruits. A gorgeous raspberry, blackcurrant and pomegranate, to my nose it seems little tangerine too. The rosy florals are a soft and happy and hold their place. The musk is in the back and comes through a little more at the end of the day, or night. And I would say with is a day and night fragrance. A spring, summer, autumn, winter fragrance, well you might of applied a little more lightly on a hot summer day but for me this is just perfect for any occasion. I can never forgive Dior for discontinuing Absolutely Blooming. Sadly after about 4 years my roller pearl juice has somewhat degraded. The opening is now slightly balsamic and rose heavier, this I don’t actually mind but unfortunately the scent dose not last as long as it once did, now after a couple of hours the scent has disappeared, leaving behind a still beautiful, slightly soapy, floral musk. I know some fragrance lovers have said that it got better with age so this could be variable. Lots of love to everyone effected my this discontinuation <3

This pearl roller version is absolutely fantastic. I have always liked the scent of Miss Dior Cherie, but it was way too strong. I had the original Miss Dior Cherie, but ended up giving it away for that reason. 10 years have passed and finally there is a flanker that reminds me faintly of Miss Dior Cherie, but stays close to my skin. This is how perfume should function. Only you and those who are allowed close to your skin - for a hug, a kiss, a cuddle - should smell it. Not thr whole world, when you walk by. I'm in my 40s now and have switched from Chanel to Dior's pearl roller. Wish Chanel would come out with rollers too. It's so much better, you get more out of the scent and it's always wearable, as it lingers softly on your skin. And it's a great size for your purse! I have tested the EdP from the bottle and that gives me headache This pearl roller version is definitely worth the money.

righto - i will admit my bias straight up - i had the fragrance in a spray and it was like a fart in the wind. such poor quality - an ok scent but just not worth it $$ now, the roller ball lasts a bit longer, its nice to have the scent for reference, i wish it projected more, it has - to my nose - a similarness to dior addict - the perfumey opening - none of these high end scents smell realisitc, and i think thats important to convey for other readers. its like theyre overlaid with semi dry non green florals - these berries and whatnot. i cant distinguish individual notes in this one - it is blended well.

I found an almost full bottle of this in a thrift store for a song. I was skeptical about the oily viscous substance & wondered if it was corked, so I tested it on a piece of paper. Smelled totally fine so I put just a teeny bit on & WOW! This smells amazing & has some serious longevity & projection. It's now a favorite after just a few uses which is a bit inconvenient since it's discontinued.

Since my scent palette is changing I’m starting to like fruity rose scents. Absolutely Blooming is very nice. It’s sweet, fruity and rosey but it’s also very warm and spicy. I thought it had patchouli in it from just smelling it on my skin. When I looked up the notes the spicy ness is from pink pepper.

Does anyone find this version lighter and less musky than the spray? To me, it looks like directly jam sweet with almost no evolution, but perhaps its easier to wear than the spray version.

@dt953 yes mine got dark too but it seems to have gotten more potent with age 😁

Why does this have it's own page, is it really any different than the spray?

Same juice as the spray bottle....just a different package.
