Miss Dior Essence

this is amazing. the cloud/scent trail is very much reminiscent of the general 2005 MDC spirit (I have 2 partial backup bottles of that one, so im familiar). don't get me wrong, this isn't a dupe, theres no popcorn or strawberries, but there is a very special quality to the blackberries and jasmine that is so nostalgic of the 2005-2010 Dior era. its jammy, its dark, its tart BUT balanced w/ the sweetness from the blackberries. I spritzed one singular spray on before walking the dog and 45-ish minutes later when I walked back into the apartment building my scent trail was still in the foyer and it was mesmerizing. I got the 1.7oz because I'm a light sprayer and rarely finish even 1oz bottles, but I think it'll last me quite some time considering the impact of a single spritz. would it be a signature? probably not, its a little too in-your-face for that (for me). im more of a skin-scent signature girl, but this will be cherished. if theres ever a whispered rumor of discontinuation, I will buy a backup bottle. thank you, MFK.

I just received a mini of this gem after being on a Miss Dior hiatus for some years. I was a huge fan of the 2012 era of this line and still own backups from it that I still love to this day. (including the LE) My first impression with this one reminds me *very much* of a rare-ish extrait that was out during this same time also under the Miss Dior name. It really smells exactly like it. I wish I wouldn't have parted with that one so I could compare. Anyway, I truly love this and feel like it's a step back to form for this line, back to richer, more dense frags. It's not especially complicated, but it does have that depth that's been missing for way too many years, imo. This is big, ripe blackberry jam with jasmine and wood. But mostly big, fat, deep berry. I haven't tried the Parfum yet, but having sampled this I definitely will. I doubt I'll visit the Eau, maybe in passing at a department store or whatever. But. man, I love finally seeing this line start to finally get serious again after way too many years.

Very unique, nothing really smells exactly like this. It definitely is unisex to me, more feminine leaning but it's not overly sweet in anyway. It smells like fresh blackberries, maybe blackberry jam, and the white florals give a smooth, creamy, powdery vibe. Like you're walking through a garden with lots of white florals and blackberries. Smells clean and mysterious, stands out a lot from all other fragrances. I smelled this among others in the store with my bf and we both agreed this was the best out of all that we smelled, and how it just was nothing like anything else. His favorites were this and Delina Exclusif, I feel like it's similar to Delina Exclusif in the way that it's fresh, powdery/creamy/smooth, and unique, If you like Delina Exclusif you will probably like this although they are different, I'd say delina is for days, spring, and summer, and this is more nights, fall, winter, although I think I will be wearing this all year round

I happen to love this but fruity perfume has always been my jam. I was a bit leery about this one based on some of the negative reviews I had read. It really ticks all the boxes for me as someone who gravitates to sweet and fruity scents. It's sweet but not overly sweet or cough syrupy. I was hoping for something similar to the BlackBerry in Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Blackberry. My one critique with Essence is that I smell dark berries and can't pick out blackberry as an individual note with my noob nose. Essence on its own merits is a beautiful perfume and I would recommend it. I still just want a perfume that is just blackberries without all the bells and whistles. Performance on skin is about 6-8 hours similar to what I get with the Miss Dior Parfum, so of this is more concentrated it's not noticeable in the wear time to me vs the Parfum. I have Miss Dior BB, Miss Dior Parfum and Essence. I love them all for different reasons.

I feel i must write something in this perfume's defense as i've seen so many dislike it. I've just bought a full size after a few freebie samples of it. It was a bit pricey especially as it seems to be aimed at a younger audience. I find it to be a very unique take on a girly smell. Its rare that something can smell so feminine and so distinctive at the same time. When I first smelt it, i was convinced there was a note of violets in there but after wearing for a while its creamy fruity and woody with a splash of jasmine. my skin maturally has a milky smell to it which interracts with perfumes sometimes but i think it takes the hashness out of this one. I've had so much joy layering this one - it always outlasts whatever I layer it with and adds a unique element to more basic musky perfumes. Ive loved it most with kayali boujie marshmallow and elizabeth arden green tea xxx

Miss Dior Essence is the perfume that pulled me back to Dior after years of staying away. I genuinely thought their fragrance lineup had gotten stuck in older eras, but Essence proved me wrong. This is elegance at its most refined: definitively a winter or evening scent, dressed up and intentional. It opens with blackberry and amber that's sweet without ever tipping into cloying — beautifully restrained. The dry-down is where it shows its character: musky in the way Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is musky, which I, personally, used to live for years ago. These days I lean more into pure gourmands, so the musk skew is the one honest warning; if you've fully migrated to sweet/vanilla territory, this might feel a touch nostalgic rather than current. But objectively? It's stunning, absolutely worth it, and it's exactly the kind of perfume that men consistently fall in love with.

What can I say? I am a fan! I walked past the Dior counter at the department store the other day and thought, ah, what does Miss Dior smell like these days, and then I came across MD Essence. I sprayed and couldn’t stop smelling the card, so I sprayed my wrist. Next day I went to the mall and sprayed my arm at another store, decided to let it sit for the day. A woman chased me down, begging to know what I was wearing. I let her smell my arm and she’s is like, I have to have this. I’m thinking, me too! We laughed and then she chased me again, so she could write down the name, didn’t want to forget. Next I stopped at a niche fragrance counter. Man at the counter helping smelled me & couldn’t believe it was Dior. Later that day I bought a full bottle. It’s not very Miss Dior, but it is certainly MFK. Lasts an eternity. Layers great with woody scents!

So have been debating with this since it dropped and I got the tester . As miss dior goes ,its more jammy ,candy / sweet shop ,with a bit of clean twist . My partner says when first sprayed ,"maybe too sweet" ,hes not a massive perfume/fragrance guy but knows what he likes me to smell like and he says "nooo maybe this is too sweet" for him . Me ,well I actually like it ,its drying down a little less sweet ,its still there but not, giving me a filling type sweet now . The floral pops out as its drying and it reminds me a bit of NR musc noir rose . I think this is inoffensive and could be an easy reach scent and im not a fan of mfk but this isnt too bad at all .still not made my mind up on a 30 or 50ml tbh

This one had to grow on me but now i’m OBSESSED 😍 This opens VERY punchy and sharp, like a tart blackberry lemonade. and it’s kind of alot at first. But soon after..that fades away into the most STUNNING realistic deep jammy blackberry note and I can’t get enough of it. Berry heaven. Besides the opening, the main thing I get from this is that concentrated Blackberry and i’m so happy about that. The whiffs I get from myself are intoxicating, alluring, mysterious, so unique and yummy. It is a very strong bold scent but in the best way. Sweet Blackberry overload. I highly recommend if you love realistic berry perfumes, just trust the drydown!! 🖤🫐🍬⚡️🌸🪵🎀💜

This fragrance blows me away it's so good. Definitely a 5/5. That surprises the heck out of me because I've never liked any of the Miss Dior flankers until I smelled this. The blackcurrant in this really shines and there's something like a rosey scent, though it's not listed in the notes. I don't get the jasmine. It's sweet, fruity, strong, very feminine and monstrously delicious. It's not a gourmand exactly, but leaning in that direction. It bears a slight resemblance to both the Dior Rouge Trafalgars, but is better in my opinion. I don't know that I've ever felt quite so in love with any other designer fragrance. Really, really impressive.

I was so scared I wouldn't like this after reading so many negative reviews. I blind bought bottle of this as I like most of Miss Dior fragrances. This perfume is delicious 😋 it's so sweet, so strong. I definitely get Blackberry marmelade and some Jasmine in this. Definitely worth owning a bottle if you like gourmand fragrances. To my nose it's not similar to any previous Miss Diors, not even Parfum one that came out last year. Autumn/Winter scent. Long lasting, about 8h on the skin. On the clothes it stayed until I washed them. 9/10. (A bit overpriced for designer perfume). 10/10 for the bottle itself. Love ❤️

At first before buying the mini version, I had seen a lot of mixed reviews saying it smelled very unisex and a man could wear this too so I was very intrigued. When I bought the mini, I dabbed it on for a New Years eve party and so many people at the same time told me I smelled amazing. Now I've bought the full size and it is amazing. In the begginning it does come off quite masculine but once it dries down, it just smells amazing. Fruity but not too sweet. Like a nice fruity perfume should smell like, it's a little tart but not gourmand and not sickening. I love this, it smells amazing and very feminine.

This perfume is absolutely amazing and gets a lot of compliments. I sprayed it once it boots and came back later the same day to buy it as two of my friends told me how amazing it smelled. It opens up with a juicy burst and then settles down in the most incredible aromatic fruity scent with woody notes. It lasts all day, much better lasting power than perfume and people really notice it. To me it smells a bit like raspberries but the pyramid says marmalade. Very highly recommend. One of the best perfumes in Miss Dior range if not the best one and I have all of them including vintage versions.

In my mind: lana del rey - peppers is playing with this This is soooooo sexy. It depends what you mean by a sexy perfume of course, but to me black opium and its adjacents or oud heavy or spicy stuff arent doing it. This is like so intensely and maybe overwhelmingly floral and hyper feminine and sexy in the best way. And I am obsessed and I want it even tho I already have lveb l'elixir and they can be quite similar especially at the beginning And it is super long lasting too like my entire room smells like it bc I sprayed some on my sophie scarf at the sephora store

So many people hating on this, without even trying the fragrance. What a circus. Fragrantica has turned into an awful dark place lately. For those who say that Miss Dior should be all about Rose / Patchouli but on the other hand expect something original and innovative. Think for a second. What do you want? Rosey patchouli and gasoline? Accept we are going through new times and let the changes happen! Sad so many people have nothing to do in life but troll and spread negativity. Low lives.

I bought it in August and I still love it! Now in winter is perfect, 3/4 of the juice is gone! I love it because it’s so good blended , such a nice calming scent it is. A little bit sweet, a little bit berry , a little bit floral and just a little bit powdery and makes me think of Dior Addict Purple Glow. I love because it’s not pungent, too woodsy , too musky or sour ... it’s very good blended, smells very nice , leaves an expensive excellent trail Love it it!!

Let me preface this my saying this is not my usual kind of thing. I'm usually a Rosie by Rosie Jane/Chloe/Penhaligons Luna sort of girl but I received a sample free with an order and thought I would test it. I applied it at 9am and the projection and longevity is unbelievably outstanding. My 7 year old son adores this one too. I have nothing like this in my collection so I will definitely be getting a full bottle. It's juicy, fruity and sweet.

What year is it? This projects and lasts like nothing Dior has made since 2005. Haven't bought anything faster, ever lol. A bigger, more extroverted version of the Parfum from a couple years ago. The "woody notes" are giving me the spirit of patchouli. It's sweet, but in the way millenials will remember. I'm never breaking up with Miss Dior I guess! This is a crazy ass, big old Designer Perfume and I love it.

It's a BEAST MODE fragrance. I love to overspray, but this one - uh oh, don't even try. 1 spray was enough for me to smell it for the rest of the day and get a headache. Anyway, it's a very very very sweet fragrance, yes a bit synthetic in the beginning. It changes every hour becoming more intimate and more pleasant. It's literally a marmelade in a bottle with some flowers sprinkled on it. I love it!

This is for sure a complement getter and that is coming from someone who never in life got complemented on any perfumes no matter how fancy and expensive there were. Wore it on three separate occasion and got complements from strangers each time. Has really good projection and is a crowd pleaser for sure. Intense jammy berry scent, not too sweet and not juvenile in my humble opinion. 😍

Can we please stop bashing perfumes just because they’re yet another flanker? And can we also stop rating them before we’ve actually worn them enough? Every fragrance deserves to be judged on its own merits. Honest reviews are appreciated, cheap hate is not. In my experience this ‘yet another flanker’ is actually a juicy, fruity, woodsy, sensual heaven in a bottle.

it smells like raspberry syrup. but in the most refined way possible, airy, sweetly elegant. like a grown up doll. i am not the biggest fan of the miss dior line but this is just wow!!! i dont think it smells like burberry her at all. this is a lot heavier, sweeter, while burberry her is baccarat with strawberries. this has nothing in common with baccarat.

I tested this on paper only, so I can't speak to longevity or how it may transform on skin. Something about this really reminded me of a Lush store. I wouldn't pay for a whole bottle, but I find this to be a perfectly pleasant fragrance. There is some hate happening in the reviews but if you like a fruity floral odds are you will like this.

Devastated that I don't own this! The blackberry smells sour or bitter at first, but the sour notes melt away quickly into a sweet, jammy blackberry and feminine jasmine scent. It's long-lasting without being overpowering, and creates a lovely scent bubble without invading anyone else's space. If I could wear this every day, I would.

Opens up almost literally identical to lveb l'elixir and even during the drydown you sense a similar DNA but woodsy vs leathery vibes are what separates the two. I already have lveb l'elixir but I really loved MDE too like I would consider getting it really. It's beautiful, floral, berry-fruity, deep and long lasting too.

Im so obsessed with this fragrance. To some it’s a date night special event type of smell but I use it all day every day. On my skin the woody notes really shine through and make it much more tolerable than the first spray on some paper which I will admit is strong with the blackberry note. Overall I’m obsessed! 10/10

i adore this perfume, its a tart jammy blackberry marmalade with incredible longevity and sillage! has an earthy woodiness in the dry down as well that helps it from being too juvenile. you have to be a big fan of deep fruity scents to enjoy this one. i love layering it with berry styles from snif <33

World wide black Friday and I can't find good deal on this, I wanted it but just on sales. Is very intense red fruit marmalade fragrance, you have to like red berries and red marmalade smell to appreciate this, but I don't see as a gourmand. I wanted most of because of the bottle, is so beautiful 💜🫐🍒

Now that I have a decant of this I was able to meditate on why I like this so much. It smells very much like a Lush store, wish I had one near me so I could compare it to 29 High Street. A Lush bath bomb in a bottle, including the powdery notes. It's sweet and girly but not too much so. I love it.

I love this. I received as a surprise Christmas gift from my male friend who equally loves fragrances as much as I do. I was so happy to receive it! He knows how much I love Dior and fruity scents. It smells really similar to Angel Nova if anyone has that one. Now my everyday scent :)

Tested MD Essence yesterday at Sephora and simply cannot get over the marmalade note. IT IS SO GOOD! Super yummy but still interesting because of the woody notes... I am in love! I have it sprayed on a tester strip and it keeps projecting like crazy. Performance is phenomenal!

Damn shes goregeous. The projection & longevity on this is litteraly insane, i had a Testing Strip on the side of my bed and it projected for 3 straight, and on skin i couldnt take it off, i think its a high quality perfume that deserves so much more love.

It is instant love after testing in Douglas. Reminds me to Rouge Trafalgar Esprit but this is more feminin. A unique berry scent with Dior charming. Hey guys, stop hating Kurkdjian becouse of the Dior 's creative chief, Hi is a genious and do it well!

Tried it on paper. It reminds me of guerlain petite robe noire blue bottle. Didn;t look up the notes and it seemed that I could smell sweet rose and patchouli, but very well balanced. Was surprised to see the notes, that it doesn;t have any of these.

Love Love Love Got a tester from Sephora 🩷 she is beautiful. Sweet and fruity. I'd say she's overpriced but I will perchase. Glad she doesn't smell like the OG I really don't like it.

A strong juicy feminine berry. But not a gourmand. Floral and feminine. Kinda in the same way prada Paradoxe is a strong feminine citrus. It’s diors Paradoxe intense.
