Miss Dior Rose Essence

I absolutely love this iteration of Miss Dior. Such a lovely rosewater scent, but with bright green and soft woody notes. I still get the rose scent even after dry down but I also over spray this one. It's atomizer allows for a light, fine mist, so I feel it's meant to dust all over your body. Rose n Roses was way too screechy and spicy for me and I honestly got very little rose notes out of it for the name. But Rose Essence is exactly what I was looking for in a rose scent from Dior. A must buy (maybe two since it's limited edition.)

It's beautiful! Delicate, smooth and incredibly well formulated. A gentle, authentic rose fragrance with soft touches of vetiver and wood notes and a smidge of musk. I am not getting any pronounced note of patchouli whatsoever - thankfully! The bottle and packaging are beautiful. This wears close to the skin but I don't mind. I find it to be a gentle, delicate fragrance so I wouldn't expect it to have enormous sillage. I've no regrets in this blind buy.

Elegant, fresh and woody rose that makes me so, so, so happy. Definitely ordering more than 1 bottle since it's limited edition. If you like Aerin Roses de Grasse, you'll love this one too. Both are quite similar, and both are so incredibly beautiful.

THIS is gorgeous and I am not exactly a rose fan. It’s a slightly spicy true may rosewater scent. It’s modern and not stuffy or grandma at all. It should be a part of the la privee line and not Miss Dior, but I don’t mind since the bottle is lovely. To me it’s geranium and rose, with the wood in the base, and zero patchouli. It’s truly lovely if you are into the idea of this fragrance. Could work in any season as well, which surprised me. Update: on the dry down it really does become more of a unisex fragrance. Not something I expected but actually really like about it.

Smells like a beautiful green fresh rose like a real rose... its sad bc it doesn’t last long on me at all and has no projection... my mom always yells at me whenever i spray anything and she doesn’t say a word when i sprayed this.. eventually returned bc I couldn’t see the value of a used vintage perfume for dior would rather rebuy and have a full bottle to keep for vanity purposes and maybe just maybe but maybe id rather get roses if i wanted to smell them for only 30 minutes lol someone please tell me if im the only one with this and it blows my mind on the website it says intensity 3/4 compared to the other miss diors with a 1/4 and those have so much more longevity for me im so stunned.

I saw it in stores in the beginning of june and instantly ran to try it on. I did not know the notes, i just thought it would have an essence of a rose oil. Imagine my huge disapointment when i smelled it.... it is so light! At first i thought that i sprayed the factice, cause i could not basically smell anything! So i did another round of blotter spraying - from different bottle displayed - same story, i smell nothing! So i asked the SA about it and she said it is indeed very light and fresh, more green and sustainlibly made. Upon liberally spraying my wrist i could finally detect something unisex-like fresh scent, with basically no scent of a rose that i am used to. It is s smell of a "no smelling" rose, that they sell in flower stores nowdays. One has actually have to dig their nose deep knto thrir petals to smell anything IF anything. This perfume smells more like leaves of a rose, than the rose itself. Very faint and weak. I retested it several times after in different weather, yet same outcome. It is a NO from me. P.S. do NOT be fooled by another user review, that it smells like Aerin Lauder's line "Rose de Grasse" ( which i happen to love and use), it smells ABSOLUTELY nothing like it. I still stand by my words thst this is less of s rose, but more as a masculine/unisex fragrance with just a hint of rose. If you even look at the notes, the composition is more like a men's fragrance one.

Oh Rose Essence this just WORKS for me. Yeah it's a little simple, and a true eau de toilette in that it is not strong wearing, and lasts a few hours on the skin. I bought this last year as my birthday present to myself because of course I bought perfume <3 I like the bright pink glass packaging but this isn't a pink rose at all and I think that is what is throwing people off. This is a velvety rich rose with a dark background of woods. The rose is soft but saturated in feeling, and right away the woods pop out, guiac wood, vetiver, sandalwood, and the musk is downright spicy. After a year of sitting on my shelf I feel like the rose itself has gotten only stronger ... maybe the bottle needs time to sit a little? Anyway this is a really "natural" feeling fragrance that lasts about as along as a natural perfume will, just a few hours. I love wearing this though and I'm glad I have it. Only downside is the fussy *plastic* cap I wish that part of the presentation was a little stronger.

I thought that this one would have gotten more attention after its release, but it doesn't seem to have been a huge success for a Miss Dior flanker. In terms of quality this is one of the best so far, the Grasse rose, which is the star of the show, is divine. You don't buy it for sophistication but for the quality and rarity. It's a very mature rose, mixed with wood and spices, not what you would expect from Miss Dior as it doesn't scream feminity. I like that they took risks and delivered something unexpected + the bottle is gorgeous. Indeed, this doesn't have a strong longevity or projection but I have no issue with that, this was meant to be elegant, subtle and quality focused, made for craftmanship and true fragrance lovers. I still have a sealed bottle if someone is interested.

To me, this is more of a geranium and less of a rose. Like others have remarked, it's spicy and smells more classically masculine than feminine. Upon spraying, the rose (which is less clear of a note for me bc of the geranium) is sweet, but the sweetness fades as it dries down. As it dries, it becomes more green and woody and retains its spiciness, yet remains very clean throughout its wear. I don't happen to perceive the patchouli, either. I was hoping this was on the same vein as Aerin Rose de Grasse, but they're completely different. Rose de Grasse (IMO) does smell like a photorealistic rose, whereas this is a rosewater that is weighed down by the other notes. Still, it's very well-done and smells more Privée than Miss Dior.

My first impression of the first spray is, so strong and spicy like a ginger ale... and had a light musky scent. I rarely detect the rosy part... and the projection is so weak... the strength itself too. not worth the price at all... I expected this would be the stronger version of Rose n'Rose - rosy and musky, but It is not... it is not a pretty rose scent at all. rather fragrance for men. such a shame. Rose Gipsy and Rose Kabuki are much better rose fragrances.

Not AT ALL what I was expecting! A wood dominant rose scent that’s really pretty masculine for me. Nice, but zero rose from the time the perfume dries on your skin. It’s lovely, but quite the paradox. A masculine “Miss Dior” with a “rose essence” that almost instantly fades to wood. The marketing puzzles me. As a unisex or masculine scent, it’s great. But as part of the Miss Dior line, Rose Essence is a real belly flop. Don’t blind buy this one - sample first.

Na minha opinião,deixou a desejar na projeção muito abaixo por ser algo caro . A apresentação do mesmo é boa , caixa é diferenciada dos demais ,senti na abertura as rosas o tornando mais masculino depois da abertura ,resumindo gosto de perfumes que deixam rastro e modéstia parte esse deixou muito a desejar.Esperava mais ,tem outros da mesma linha melhores doque simplesmente um belo frasco!!!

Miss Dior Rose Essence is a Gender bender its a Chypre I was not expecting its a decent floral green chypre the Geranium shines with a woody green stem rose its quite refined only thing longevity wish it lasted longer. This Miss Dior Rose Essence and J'Adore Infinissime should be the last jewels of Demachy before Kurkdjian takes over.

Tested this on in store today, and it was honestly such a disappointment 🥲 Very weak, could hardly smell it on my arm or on the test strip. Three hours later now, there’s the faintest ever whisp of... something ? Very generic.

I'm concerned about the patchouli. It takes iver anything it's in. I can't imagine the rose in it being able to fight it off. I would hope for a nice spring/summer scent, but fear the patchouli. Have to wait and see.

Today I layered this over Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber and it works so well! This combo is going to be a go-to for Spring for me!

This could be the last fragrance made by Demachy.. As Kurdijan is taking over for Dior.

Maybe rose n roses didn't sell that we'll so they had to come up with sth new

Sharp and masculine, headache-inducing. Not a safe blind buy.
