Sauvage Eau de Parfum

The bergamot opening is OMG to die for. It is gorgeous. And Dior' lavender is beautiful as well. This is the Freshest of the Fresh. The Cleanest of the Clean. The Most Versatile of the Versatile. The Smartest Dumb Reach of Dumb Reaches. Sure if you over spray it, it can be loud and obnoxious, but when sprayed accordingly, this can be worn literally anywhere without any complaints from bystanders. At the office, I wear 3 sprays, and I have only received compliments and positive feed back. A lot of people say Sauvage is generic, but I think it stands out as unique in the blue category, simply because it isnt powdery like the rest of em- Bleu de Chanel, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean, YSL Myself etc., Don't get me wrong, I am very fond of Prada Ocean and YSL MYSLF, but sometimes the powderiness can be really obstructive to the respiratory system. Sauvage has a way of not getting in the way of my breathing, where everything else in my collection kinda gets in the way. I personally, need a fragrance to work with me, and not against me. Some say this smells like fboy or her ex. Good! I want to smell like that. I want to smell like every bad decision that 304 has ever made. When she smells me, I want her to be reminded of every time she has spread her legs. I want the smell of regret to linger in the air and within her consciousness. All jokes aside, This is a great fragrance. This is the fragrance for the guy who only wants one fragrance. This is the fragrance for the guy who wears fragrance simply to smell fresh and clean. This isn't a fragrance you buy if you are a niche head looking for Vincent Van Gogh's "The Starry Night" of fragrances. It is what it is, This is the Most Mass Appealing of Mass appeals. Bergamont, lavender, spice, wood and ambroxan. The epitome of "you can't go wrong."

My perfume journey can be divided easily into two eras - 1. Pre-sauvage when I mostly used simple aquatic fragrances like Davidoff Cool Water, Coty Aspen and sporadically CK One and its flankers and then 2. Post-Sauvage era which gets interesting as I started understanding the complexity in notes and started experimenting more!! Among all the experiments that have gone well, it all started with a bottle of Sauvage EDP that I had bought in 2021, it was a paradigm shift from aquatic fresh fragrances to something more complex that is citrus, spicy, ambery, aromatic and I was totally bowled out with this one. Pretty much the only fragrance that I used in 2021 and early 2022, this one is the best all weather fragrance in my opinion (considering I have rated YSL Y EDP as the best blue fragrance which I still stick to). Also this is the best from the house of Sauvage so far which I became sure after wearing the EDT as well which smelled more metallic and ambery. Classic citrus spicy fragrance that becomes ambery and aromatic after a while. This is the 2nd bottle that is in use since 2022 and I have preserved it and use sporadically and on special occassions. Can be a "go anywhere do anything" kind of a fragrance (office, clubbing, marriages, travel ANYTHING!!). Longevity is easy 12+ hours for me, sillage is moderate to ample. Projects strong for first 1.5 hours and then creates an aromatic bubble around you. 100% compliment getter, this actually got me the best compliments so far. Overall a great scent that is better than the flankers the house has produced over the years.

I have yet to purchase or wear the EDT or parfum, so in this review, I cannot compare the EDP to those two—only to other fragrances I’ve purchased or worn. I got a decant of this from Fragman.com and wore it for the first time today. Context: I have sampled all of the Sauvage line in department stores at various times, and to me the Sauvage line has always stood out as very unique regardless of the notes and categorizations it shares with other designer fragrances. However, I have always been one to avoid bandwagons like the plague. Bleu de Chanel is the best example of this—touted as one of the most crowd-pleasing fragrances of all time, but to me it just smells like baby soap in a bad way. So for a longtime I have been biased towards being averse to the Sauvage line, considering it’s one of the best selling fragrance lines of all time. HOWEVER, after wearing the EDP for a day—which is supposed to be pretty much a balance between the EDT and the parfum—I can say, I get why it’s so popular. I felt like a boss in this today. It’s a GREAT balance of sweet, spicy, AND fresh, and to me it seems like young and old would enjoy this. Will I buy a bottle eventually? I think I might. Despite my natural inclination to avoid smelling like someone’s ex, I’ve discovered that I mostly wear fragrances for me and my own enjoyment of smelling something nice, and this is definitely something I would enjoy catching a whiff of throughout the day.

Dior Sauvage Eau De Parfum in 2026. Nothing new can be said about this, aside from the fact that I'm here to say it still holds up well in the new year. Dior took to heart what many considered a problem with the EDT: a scratchy pepper opening which was hated and loved in the same amount. Sauvage EDP uses more lavender while toning down the pepper. Despite this change, it still holds the Sauvage DNA well. This new scent profile gives for a much smoother experience than the EDT. Now I must say, the EDT performs MUCH longer on me. I pick up on the fresh spicy accords all day. However I feel more confident wearing the Eau De Parfum, simply with the smoother experience. You will project well, but it won't be as cloying as the EDT. Is this an office-safe fragrance then? I don't think so. Am I wearing it in the office right now as I type this review? You bet. As soon as someone walks by me, it's like the gust of wind picks up on my fragrance and I can smell Sauvage all over again, this line really does have "beast mode" performance. Every so often I come back to this to leave a review and defend Sauvage, while I understand its controversial opening, there is no doubt as to why this is so popular. If you are unsure which to buy: EDT - loud pepper opening but best performance, 9/10 EDP - much smoother, fresher, 9/10 Parfum - my favourite one, a spicy orange opening, 9.5/10

Still the king 👑 of compliments. Received 2 compliments at work today from the same girl, 2 hours apart from each other. She was gooning. I rarely ever wear Sauvage to work. After the 2nd compliment, I said to her, "I wear a fragrance everyday." And she said, "oh, I know." So she is aware I wear fragrances and none of my 65 fragrances have ever solicited a compliment from her except Sauvage. And here is the kicker, I only sprayed 2 sprays on my under shirt and it took me 1 hr to drive to work. Now we can lie to ourselves and say, 'i wear fragrances for my enjoyment' or 'i don't care about compliments' bla bla bla. But the reality is, it really is nice when someone else notices and appreciates our effort to smell good. Cuz what's the point if the fragrance is too weak for others to detect and we only smell good to ourselves or if the other people don't really care for what we are wearing? The truth is, we wear fragrances for ourselves and those around us. Sauvage just has that special sauce that creates magic in the air. It is almost mystifying how well it works on the female nose. And I have a collection full of supposed mass appealing fragrances, but Sauvage reigns supreme. This is THE fragrance to buy. This is the One and done. The only one we really need. It just works 9 times out of 10.

Smells like a rich businessman. Timeless classic suitable for, as Hamza Saab would put it, every occasion, every season, every reason. Not as sharp as the EDT, instead - a smoother, sweeter (albeit somewhat heavier) version of it. Out of the two, I would definitely pick the EDP. One spray below each ear from ~8 inches will be more than enough for your colleagues at work to smell it but not choke on it. For other occasions you might do the sprays from a closer distance. And now about the prices. You know how you would pretty much never find Bleu de Chanel at a satisfactory discount? Looks like Dior tries to catch up with that practice, although there's still some discounts, but they tend to become smaller and smaller. If to compare Sauvage EDP & BdC EDP in terms of the scent only - BdC EDP is lighter, but between the two I would reach for Sauvage EDP 2/3 of the time, there's something about it that makes you like it, plus BdC EDP is more formal. The only thing that will ruin it for me is overspraying it - seriously, it's a very nice scent, but it can very, very easily become unbearable, so go lighter on the sprays!!

Dior Sauvage EDP: The Ultimate Compliment Magnet As someone who has used both the EDT and EDP versions, I have to say: while I often recommend the EDT, the EDP is essentially the same DNA but more "attached" to the skin. It is longer-lasting, though its projection (sillage) is slightly lower compared to the EDT. The Performance & Experience The Scent Profile: There is a noticeable weight to this version. The ambroxan is a bit more intense, which can lead to occasional olfactory fatigue (nose blindness). However, make no mistake—everyone around you can still smell it clearly. The Compliment Factor: In my entire fragrance journey, this is the perfume that has earned me the most compliments. Since I’m a bit of a "fragrance geek" who actually keeps track of these things, the total count is 7—which is a great ratio for the country I live in. Final Thoughts Why do we wear perfume? Is it to be "different" or is it simply to smell great? If your answer is the latter, then get yourself a bottle of Sauvage and enjoy that sense of confidence. I’ve just finished my 100 ml bottle, and I urgently need a replacement.

This was my first ever fragrance, and I'm very happy with the choice I made. This opens up super energizing and uplifting with juicy citruses and sparkling pepper. Even though it's not a note, I get some shower gel like amber, just like you would in a fragrance like versace dylan blue. As it dries down, I get a smooth vanilla, that helps sweeten everything up, along with star anise, which replaces the pepper in the opening and gives a toned down spice feel. The longevity and projection are great, with people smelling me a good 7-8 hours after I sprayed it on. In terms of compliments, I think it's not as high as people say. It gives a nice stream of compliments, around 2-3 a week for me, and enough to make me want to wear it again. On the topic of wearability, this fragrance can be worn anywhere. I've worn this in the winter, summer, while partying, and on dinner nights. This is because it has the vanilla for winter, citrusy freshness for summer, and amber and spice for all year round versatility. If you're looking for a first fragrance, this is a fantastic option that checks every box near perfectly.

I know it’s almost fashionable to criticize Sauvage nowadays, but I honestly don’t care. There’s a reason why it became one of the most successful men’s fragrances ever made. The opening is fresh, clean, and incredibly appealing. The bergamot jumps off the skin, and as it settles, the lavender, spices, and smooth vanilla base make it feel more refined than the EDT while keeping the same mass appeal. What really stands out to me, though, is the reaction it gets from people. Out of every fragrance I own, this is probably the one that has generated the most compliments. Not even close. Friends, family, dates, coworkers, random people in bars... Sauvage just works. Maybe fragrance enthusiasts are tired of smelling it, but the average person clearly isn't. Every time I wear it, I'm reminded that there's a huge difference between what's popular online and what people actually enjoy smelling in real life. If I had to choose one fragrance to wear for the rest of my life, Sauvage EDP would be a serious contender

Dior Sauvage EDP is masterful. Just buy it. It opens so bright and fresh with a toned down sharpness, from the EDT, that cuts without overtaking. After a few minutes you can smell the lavender pop out and it's so clean and uplifting. The pepper is rather light. Ambroxan is here and you know it. The vanilla is light, but a welcome addition. Everything blends extremely well with the EDP. Dior improved with this version from the EDT in my opinion. Smooth & captivating. It lasts at least 8 hours with pretty great projection for a few hours. I often go nose blind, but have had people comment late into the day after the 10 hour mark, but I also spray my clothes. Any man of any age can wear this variation. You can wear this almost anywhere as long as you adjust your sprays. It's insanely versitle and a compliment magnet. Oh yeah... It has a magnetic cap and excellent pressurized atomizer as well. Just go out and buy it already!

Another wave of bots hit the voting and suggestions... Fragrantica is sleeping on this matter, it is needed for auto detect/delete system for bot accounts and votes. Would be nice to see bans or other punishments for hate voting, for example: voting the lowest possible performance on good performing fragrances and etc. Had a chance to try it and it is absolutely amazing and unique scent, a mix between original Sauvage, Fahrenheit Le Parfum and Lolita Lempicka Masculin Parfum Intense in a way, with a slight gourmand vanilla boozy vibe, with strong enough original DNA. It is unique as scent and unique to have it next to original Sauvage. Performance is incredible, about the same as original, just a little better. A definite buy for me, when a holiday sale of -10/20% will be available, or on the next travel in Duty Free.

If you already own the EDT this might be a little bit redundant, it's not a complete shift from the original formula, HOWEVER, this does have a more refined sweetness and elegance to it. It's deeper and the addition of anise and vanilla gives this more dimension. It takes everything great about Sauvage and smooths out the rough parts with some added sweetness. But it's not so much that there's any risk of being cloying. Finish your EDT bottle first though, unless you're a collector. Altough I will say the performance is indeed amazing, amazing longevity, amazing sillage. Edit: On the second wearing of this I now really really get that Sichuan pepper like I don't get in the EDT. Way more pronounced here, gives it a pleasant citric-sour touch. Almost has an lemon essential oil vibe. Like a top note that lasts very long.

My first perfume ever, it was crazy good. The hype is real, im gonna say Sauvage EDP wont let u down. Versatile, all year round, classic blue scent that turn heads and get u compliment. My personal taste loves the type of fragrances that have ambroxan-bergamot and this one is the best. Yes..you will smell like everybody else but i think 2026 is the year you can get this, peoples calm it down with wearing this one. 10 hours of longevity on skin, 3 hours of strong sillage. My most complimented perfume, leaves a crazy good sillage trail. Wore it once when i played football and i filled the whole field everyone asked me what i was wearing. This will remain a legend,get this. Especially women doesnt know which one is overused among men so she will compliment it,its safe blind buy and mass appealing.

dior sauvage hate is forced. i get why people hate on this stuff because its too good that too many people wear it well in fact not everyone's into fragrance so pretty much this is still worth getting. to me, sauvage is a victim of its own success. the fragrance is good because of its versatility where you can wear it all year round and any occasions fit for it. this is my favorite concentration too between parfum and EDT becuase its a complete balance of being loud and at the same time it tones down the punchiness that you get from the EDT. out of all the fragrances that i have, this thing is still the one that gets me so many compliments. i would repurchase this everytime i ran out of it. this the type of fragrance that's going to be in your collection forever.

Got to properly test this yesterday. All the old ladies at the Macy's cologne counter tell me this one is the best-selling in the line, and I see why. To me, this version is a middle ground between the EDT and Parfum, with Parfum being the most subdued and the original being the loudest. If you like the EDT but can't wear it because it gives you headaches, try this one. The spicy notes and vanilla round it out, making it less harsh than the original. Great performance as well. I was getting whiffs from my arm several hours after leaving the mall. This is the most versatile in the line for sure. Hats off to Demachy. Everything he has composed for this line is wonderful IMO.

Despite undergoing reformulation processes, for me it will remain among the best men's perfumes of all time (and in the future). I think its less spicy nature compared to the EDT creates that soft, sweet, and sexy aura even more strongly. It definitely evokes the image of a well-dressed, freshly shaved, well-groomed man in a suit. Its longevity and sexy softness make it my preferred choice over the EDT. Don't be fooled by attention-seeking individuals who leave negative and derogatory comments about the Sauvage series; this beast still does its job well. The only real problem is that it's expensive... I guess that's normal given the continued demand today.

Few months ago I bought the EDT version 200 ML because it used to be my favorite cologne of all time, it was a projeciton and longevity monster but reformulations have completely destroyed it. Its extremely weak now. I really regret buying it and now I have moved on and spent another $200+ to buy the 200ML EDP version. Its so much better. It reminds me much more of the OG sauvage edt than the current one. Doesnt project that much but it lasts a LOOOOOONG time. In my skin I can still smell it after 12 hours and sometimes extremely faintly after 24 hours. If you're between buying the EDT or EDP, don't even think about it. EDP is the way to go now.

Recently received a tester and I'm pretty impressed. This is basically a winter version of the original. It easily replaces fragrances like Spicebomb or Tobacco Vanille for a winter signature. To me it's not a more mature version at all, unlike some would say. Anyone from teens to old men can pull this off. As for performance it is easily just as potent as the EDT and then some. Whereas I could get away with over spraying the original, I certainly cannot with this one, it's just too strong. I'd probably put this on par with 1 Million as far as the performance goes. Feel free to blind buy this because I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

Mascara takes any girl from a 4 to at least a 7. You can't tell if two girls are wearing the same mascara because their natural lashes are different, the way they apply it is different, the overall look is different. Sauvage is like male mascara. It makes you INSTANTLY more attractive. Anytime I ask a guy what he's wearing (because he smells absolutely sexy), he says Sauvage. I'm not dumb, I should be able to recognize Sauvage after smelling it SO MANY TIMES, but I just can't. It's very different from guy to guy and it works on every single one of them. I will personally never get enought if it and I hope its popularity never subsides

I go back and forth between the EDT and EDP every so often due to how much I like this DNA. Sauvage EDP opens with that sweet and familiar bergamot note, but with a rounder and thicker spice accord. It has a nice nutty, cinnamon-y sweetness from the anise and nutmeg. The pepper and ambroxan notes are less aggressive. Compared to the EDT, the EDP is less sweet, less cool/airy, has less projection yet offers more depth. It has a less linear drydown, turning more lavendery, ambery, and musky. I can't say which is better as I clearly adore this scent profile. Call me basic—whatever, but I love the Sauvage line. ✅Excellent
