Sauvage Elixir

I used to wear this fragrance every single day my Junior year winter in High School, the cold New England weather complimented this fragrance like no other. When it’s freezing my hands still yearn to reach for this, unfortunately, its just too good. It’s just too good of a beast mode fragrance. Therefore, this is a formal apology to all of my best friends and aquantiances in my third year of high school. I apologize for waking up every morning between the months of September and early February and spraying 3-5 sprays of Dior Sauvage Elixir on my neck and my clothes, knowing full well that the sprays from last week are still all over my hoodie, even after a few washes, and the sprays on my neck are still apparent, even after a couple showers. This Fragrance is just too good. So good that it is nearly unwearable. I knew full well I should have only been spraying 1-2 sprays. Everyone who is even six feet social distancing (if you remember what that was) with a mask on could smell this fragrance on you. It was loud and it stayed on skin for days. Worse, it stayed on clothes for WEEKS. High school me had no business carrying a fragrance like this in my pocket, it was genuinely unfair. Unfortunately, my girlfriend absolutely despises this fragrance, so my originally formulated bottle is banished to the top of my closet along with the divine Summer fragrances that come out towards the end of the Spring. I hear it call out to me in the New England mornings when the weather is practically zero degrees, but I know I can’t wear you anymore, you’re too brash, you’re too bold, you smell to much like everyone else now, regardless of how beast mode this fragrance is. I’ve heard murmurs that reformulations have ruined this fragrance and simply too many people own this for it to be a viable fragrance, and I believe that these two issues are absolutely true and apparent. I attempted to smell some of the new reformulations and was genuinely shocked and disgusted at the fact that it is not the fragrance it used to be. It is not the same fragrance I wore when it initially released, to make matters worse, everyone now owns this fragrance, so you won’t even smell remotely unique if you were to wear this fragrance. It’s not even worth purchasing even though when it was first released it was truly one of the greatest fragrance ever. Luckily, its not like this fragrance needed more years. It again, was too good. 1-2 sprays max, a day. No reapplies. It would last the whole day with 1-2 sprays. This bottle could last in anyone’s collection for decades before you would even think of purchasing another bottle. I’m sure Dior realized that they made too legendary of a fragrance and decided to fuck it up for profits. What more could you expect from a mega corporation? Greed kills fragrance. With that, I end my ode to Dior Sauvage Elixir. Thank you for the great memories, thank you for allowing me to smell good even if my friends were dying in cars, and thank you for carrying me into a better life, even if I have to leave you in my closet for life, my hands still yearn to reach for your bottle. I’m going to finish a YouTube script for this fragrance, this fragrance is simply too perfect, its unfortunate it’s prime is long gone. This is as close to Eden Hazard as a fragrance gets.

Been a year and I'm halfway through my 18 batch code bottle. I really wish I had bought another one before this batch went extinct. I originally bought it because I smelt a soft-spicy amber combo on testers HOWEVER, with my batch that I ordered from discounters that WAS NOT THE CASE Although I miss that smell, this is VERY different and NOT in a bad way. It is harsh, metallic, spicy, and slightly barbershop-y. I LOVE IT. It almost smells like how I would imagine tattoo guns and ink to smell like: this harsh, buzzing, vibrating sensation. However, this sensation is backed up by a soft, smooth shaving cream/barbershop scent that is VERY smooth and gives this perfume its signature element. Despite having similarities to some oriental or fougere scents, this raw juxtaposition is what makes it so unique and amazing. This harshness and spiciness is very present in the opening--which I thoroughly enjoy--but as the scent progresses it becomes more amber-like and smoother. Although other people say they smell liquorice, I do not (I also wish I did because I really love liquorice) but instead I smell a deep, dark, yet also sweeter and creamier dry-down. I don't think you should care that much about the notes but more the wear experience and this one is particularly amazing. I also think that the whole "this is basic" or "cologne-y" is bs and A. doesn't understand that this is unique, B. doesn't understand perfumery in general, and C. doesn't understand how people actually experience scents. The same way someone might wear this scent now, your dad may have worn le male or your mom opium. Performance is pretty good. I obviously wish it was stronger projecting, but you do have to watch out for how many sprays (especially in the heat--but I have been wearing it in the heat wave weather). Dry down lasts the whole day basically, but it projects for maybe 6. (ANDDDDD when you get in the heat, your heartbeat quickens, or when you sweat it projects LIKE CRAZY which I prefer to the airy scents) The clouds are dense and take a while to dissipate. I have been told various times that people could smell me hours after I left a room. HOWEVER other people tell me that they cannot smell me at all. I think that's because it's a dense and lingering scent RATHER than a projecting one. Anyways, I am really sad about the thought of moving beyond this perfume. It is incredible and makes me feel incredible. The more that I wear it, the more I appreciate it. Its hard to keep myself to only three sprays daily.

Dior Sauvage Elixir: The Man Who Does Not Knock First things first: this fragrance does not enter a room, it arrives at one, and the room adjusts. Sauvage Elixir smells like a handshake that goes three seconds too long, delivered with unbroken eye contact and genuine, terrifying goodwill. The opening is cinnamon. Not a hint of cinnamon, cinnamon in the way a marching band is "some music." Nutmeg and cardamom crowd in behind it, a flash of grapefruit gets roughly four seconds of screen time before being quietly escorted from the building, and then the lavender arrives. This is not a gentle lavender. This lavender has been to the gym. Twice. Today. Then something strange happens: licorice. A dark, faintly medicinal anise note wanders in and gives the whole composition a chewy quality, like a French pastille dropped into a spice grinder. Underneath it all, vetiver and patchouli are doing the actual structural work, the two guys holding the ladder while everyone watches the man at the top. And here's the inconvenient part: it's well made. That's what enthusiasts can't forgive. It would be so much easier to dismiss if it were bad, but every gram in that bottle was engineered by people who knew exactly what they were doing, and what they were doing was building something detectable from the far end of a car park. Longevity? Absurd. Not "long-lasting." Absurd. You will wash this. It will remain. It will be on the towel. It will be on that towel next week, in the linen cupboard, waiting. Projection? Two sprays is a statement. Four is a legal matter for everyone else in the lift. Mass Appeal? Total. The single most likely fragrance on earth to earn you a compliment, and the single most likely to get you identified in a lineup. Scent? Very good, faintly exhausting. A great song played at a volume that ends the conversation. Final Verdict: Longevity: 9.5/10 (survives showers, seasons, and mild regret) Scent: 8/10 (superb construction, zero interest in subtlety) Mass Appeal: 9.5/10 (designed in a lab to be liked, the lab won) Projection: 9.5/10 (the handshake never actually ended) Smells like: the hero shot from a car advert where a man in a shearling jacket drives into a canyon at sunset for no stated reason, remade as a spice cabinet that hired a personal trainer.

One day I went to SEPHORA to test some perfumes, and the Sauvage Elixir is one of them. As usual, at first spray from testers from Sephora, the smell doesn't really do much and sometimes very sharp alcoholic. I can still capture a slight of this scent during the first smell and decided I'm going to let it dry on tester strip. Note that all of the strips look the same. On my way home, I picked up the strips I brought, and trying to see if there is anything that I might like. One strip, dominates them all. It smells,... nostalgic to me for some reason. Sweet, but slightly fresh, and heavenly. Somehow it takes me back in time.. I could not stop smelling this one strip. Yet I do not know from which perfume this was.. This scent lasts more than 5 days on the same strip and got me wondering.. Is this the Sauvage Elixir..? I even kept the strip cause I really enjoy smelling it. Few weeks later, I came by a duty free shop in our local airport, and I decided to try some more perfumes, and that includes the Sauvage Elixir. This time the tester strip has Dior logo on it for me to differentiate this from everything else. I let it dry down for a few minutes while checking up everything else, and I decided to smell the Dior Strip again. "So it was you..." I found it, and I immediately bought this very perfume from the store without any second thought. This has been my most complimented fragrance I've ever worn, and I genuinely love the smell myself, and my girlfriend especially love smelling it when I wear it during our dates. It is heavenly sweet, dark, masculine, unique, potent, long lasting, and an absolute nuclear. You only need 2 sprays, and 3 sprays are already pushing it but why not heheh. It is lingering, and for me, quite smooth.. perhaps I got a newer batches and I've heard older batch of this perfume is even crazier in terms of performance. On this one I can get more than 12 hours still on skin, and few days on clothing. My room legit smells awesome as well after spraying this. Sure, it is darn expensive, but for me, it is so worth it. 60ml is good enough for maybe a whole year because it is that strong and you don't need to spray too much of this anyway. Highly recommended, but be sure to try it first. Not everyone will like this fragrance.

This is basically what happens when someone at Dior said: “Hey, what if we take Sauvage... and then turn the power dial to 11?” The opening is BIG. Like, dramatic movie soundtrack big! Right away you get a blast of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom and grapefruit, which creates this warm spicy cloud that punches the air around you.  If regular Sauvage walks into a room and says “hi,” Elixir kicks the door open and announces itself like a WWE entrance. It smells rich, spicy, slightly sweet, and very masculine. Not subtle. Not shy. Definitely not an office safe blind buy. After about 30 minutes the chaos settles. The fragrance shifts into a lavender-heavy heart with deep woods underneath.  You start getting: lavender sandalwood amber licorice vetiver The vibe becomes dark, warm, and slightly barbershop-style masculine.  At this stage it smells like: A very expensive leather chair in a dimly lit whisky bar. It’s smooth, powerful, and surprisingly elegant for something that started like a spice grenade. Performance (Borderline illegal) Performance is where this thing becomes ridiculous. Typical numbers: Longevity: 12–16 hours easily  Projection: strong for 4–6 hours  Sillage: huge scent trail  This is the kind of fragrance where: 1 spray = normal person 2 sprays = confident 3 sprays = chemical warfare One reviewer on Reddit described it like this: “One spray fills rooms... chance of overdosing is high.”  They’re not exaggerating. When To Wear It This is not a summer beach fragrance. Best situations: Cold weather Night out Formal events Fancy dinners When you want to smell expensive Fall and winter are where this fragrance absolutely shines.  Wearing this in 30°C heat is basically a social experiment. Compliment Factor People notice this scent. Whether it’s “wow you smell amazing” or “why does the room smell like Christmas spices” depends on the person. It’s definitely a statement fragrance, and it attracts attention — sometimes a lot of it. Final Thoughts Dior Sauvage Elixir is basically Sauvage after it hit the gym, drank six espressos, and decided to become the main character. It’s bold, powerful, luxurious, and very hard to ignore. Not everyone will love it. But nobody will pretend they didn’t notice it. Rating: ⭐ 9 / 10

I was introduced to this cologne after smelling it on a security guard who works at my local club. Not sure how many sprays he applied but I could smell it well before I approached him, and could smell it lingering in every area of the club he had been in. It was strong... but not offensive or overpowering, just nice, very pleasant. I remember I could smell the subtle sweetness and smoothness which is what grabbed my attention. I will admit that this is a tough one to master the art of sprays. 2 sprays before going out to dinner with the family and almost rendered my sister unconscious in the car. Mind you, I sprayed 2 minutes before getting in the car. 2 sprays on a night out at my local club on a freezing cold winter night and the lady sitting directly next to me (who I personally know) asked if I poured a whole bottle of cologne on myself. Again, only sprayed a few minutes before seeing this woman. The previous night at the club, again wore 2 sprays and received a very genuine compliment from a different woman standing right next to me. The 2 sprays wasn't too much in this instance. Every time I wear 2 sprays, people appreciate it and compliment me regularly. If I wear 1 spray... It doesn't seem to be enough and people only smell it when they are intimately close and come in for a hug. I guess everybody's sniffers are different and some may find 2 sprays overwhelming while others find 2 sprays just right. So I think I'll stick with the 2 sprays because I don't like my sister and the woman at the club only ever has negative things to say about everything! But I think you need to spray this and give it at least half an hour to settle rather than doing what I did and spraying it 2 minutes before getting in close proximity to others. The fragrance itself is phenomenal right from the first spray to the drydown. Initial spray is spicy, fresh, slightly sweet and loud. As it drys down, you can really detect the lavender, licorice, sweetness and warmth. Projection is strong, longevity is ridiculous.... Can still smell my 2 sprays well into the next day and after washing clothes, they come out of the clothes dryer with subtle wafts of elixir. Expensive but worth it because 2 sprays is enough.

I knew elixir is different from EDT, but didn’t know that the difference is so dramatic. It’s completely new and what’s more important, distinct DNA. It would be absolutely reasonable to give it a completely new name, but I wouldn’t blame Dior for using the legendary name - there’s no question they earned that right Unusual and sticking in memory composition. Except for prominent dark pepper and sandalwood, the accords here are completely crazy: sometimes it reminds me of a self-made bonfire with newspaper, sticks of cherry and peach trees, additionally with a hint of sulfur smell from matchsticks, that closes with final fresh pine and thuja notes that were carried with a soft gust. The licorice note is here. It’s a note of love or hate it, and here it was blended to be the most gentle and pleasing experience to become a lover. An artistic finishing touch that plays a huge role in the accords I described above and making the whole composition more dramatic and sophisticated There’s no occasion that can describe the fragrance, but a person: matured, serious, status. Not completely, but kind of different from Sauvage’s “bad boy” vibe. This one is a signature scent of the bad boy’s father, who’s been even more heartbreaker. The one whose first date was on a private yacht that people sometimes confused with a replica of the Titanic, and whose phone contact list was or even still filled with Victoria’s Secret models, and the names that you better not pronounce too loudly in public places. By the way, I bet his wife is one of the Miss Universe 1990 I’m speechless. The composition is disgustingly good. It gave me so many memories from a childhood with the bonfire association, and even more inspiration to become that man. Sauvage Elixir is an example of how to use the legacy in the right way and create an unforgettable experience. I would be wrong if I didn’t say this - a prince that outperformed his king

Reviewing Sauvage Elixir after sniffing through hundreds of fragrances feels like being asked to write a thesis on why "fire is hot". Yes, we know. It’s the unavoidable scent of the decade. A Dior line-up that is even more prolific than Bisch's work at Amouage. So, how do we discuss this without spiraling into cliché? By treating it like a Fibonacci sequence: a pattern that is mathematically predictable, structurally efficient, and yet satisfying every time it appears in nature. The sequence unfolds, as follows: - The Origin (0, 1): the opening is a controlled detonation. It’s not the "shower-gel" blue of its predecessors. Instead, it’s a quantum leap into cinnamon and nutmeg strapped to hyper-lavender. - The Expansion (2, 3, 5): here the Fibonacci gimmick earns its keep. Elixir excess grows with purpose. As the initial spice settles, a bitter, liquorice-accented darkness emerges, grounded by earthy patchouli. - The Result (8, 13...): in the drydown, the bombast finds its soul. It moves into a warm, resinous amber territory that is slightly syrupy. This is where all the Sauvage DNA pieces fit... and kudos if you catch this reference. Ultimately, the challenge of reviewing Elixir wasn't describing the smell. The difficulty lies in admitting that something this popular(ized) can also be good. It is both better than you expect and exactly what you expect. It lacks the element of surprise, but it makes up for it by being what it is. Performing? If you still didn't get it, it's not the point of this review. You have plenty of other literature that covers the topic. Predictable? Yes. Demachy must have observed the Golden Ratio very well. /TBOY77/ Gives the Sauvage line a perfect description of the type of person wearing its line. Arrogance + over-sprayer + (ph)uckboy = Sauvage. I don’t believe, throughout my lifetime, I’ve held one fifth of the narcissistic traits that seems to steam off him like a tiny, steaming, moist, loose, and now stinky turd 💩. Although, I’m confident the problem developed well before the introduction of a fragrance. Sauvage Elixir, too me is a somewhat polarizing fragrance and I’ve struggled to find occasions when to wear this. Although, when I have I enjoy it immensely. It’s rich, warm, and complex, extremely strong, and preforms very well on my skin. I have the EDP as well, and no it’s not redundant to own both. Although, I too struggle to find times to wear the EDP as well. Yet, extremely glad I own the fragrance. I cherish Dior. The Dior Homme line, I have the entire line, and their private collection is one of the best on the market - if not the best. Dior Paradise is my all time favorite fragrances, while still being fairly new to it. Final words, I would definitely suggest anyone to sample Dior Elixir before committing to a bottle. When you purchase directly from Diors website, any two fragrances (may get them with one fragrance I’m not sure) they give you the option to select two samples AND a miniature splash version (Sauvage Elixir is an option) so to me that’s a great deal. A) you know you’re getting an authentic product. B) you’re getting good samples. C) Diors shipping is OUTSTANDING. No BS. Every order I’ve done it’s at my house in 3 days. It’s crazy lol but I swear by their shipping it’s on another level. And guys just say no to dooch-bagery. Trust me, I’ll guarantee you that life is so much better when you begin to live a life thinking of others before yourself.

As it develops, the fragrance blends into a cohesive spicy-sweet accord with a noticeable peppery bite that keeps the richness in check, while a crisp, slightly airy quality prevents it from becoming too heavy. Subtle green and earthy nuances sit in the background, and a woody warmth begins to emerge, adding depth without disrupting the smooth structure. Into the drydown, the scent transitions into a more amber-woody profile with a noticeable ambroxan-like character, giving it a slightly “blue” feel while still maintaining its darker identity. The spices become more refined and integrated, and the licorice remains as a subtle accent that continues to provide uniqueness, though the composition becomes more linear as it leans into a clean, woody-amber base. Overall, this is a unique, high-quality take on a cool-weather “blue” fragrance with excellent projection and longevity, lasting around 9 hours with strong performance throughout. While the drydown is smooth and pleasant, it can feel slightly repetitive over time given how long it lasts, but the distinctive opening and overall refinement make it a standout in its category. I can’t see myself spending so much for this profile, but it is solid and well made. If you love the profile I think the projection and longevity make this a better value than some might think. 8.5/10

The pinnacle of masculine perfumery right here. What a legendary fragrance. Stunning depth & complexity. Truly a different one from the rest of the line. Opens like an explosion. Super spicy and powerful, drying down into a clean but somehow rugged spicy and resinous core. Perfect balance of masculine elegance with ruggedness. As someone who has tried Asad for a long while and only just got Sauvage Elixir, they really don't compare. I know Asad is super cheap, but Sauvage Elixir is truly an experience man; it's got so much more to it. You can't compete with its level of quality and sheer depth. Side by side, it's night and day for me. Yes, Asad smells good and is definitely a good fragrance, but it is merely a shadow of what it attempts to imitate. It's also less spicy and takes away from the true character of this. If price is a concern and you've not smelled Elixir, sample it and get your nose on the real deal, because you might just be swayed to save up for the real thing. It's one of those fragrances that connects and resonates. I can't do it justice in a review. Performance wise, 10/10. Nothing short of insane. Pounds off my skin for the entire day. Lingers as a skin scent to the next morning. Smell, 10/10 Value for money, I'd say it's justified if you truly love this kind of fragrance, and because it's niche quality in my opinion.

Two sprays on a random Wednesday night. Just because I haven't worn this in so long. I just wanted to wear it for me. So that makes you question why and how we got here. Why have I bought and sold over 150 bottles? Why? I could just wear this every single day. It's damn beautiful. Question the "fragrance journey". When you sit back and wonder if going on a fragrance journey is silly, you can stop wondering because it is. It's very silly. It's a waste of money, and worse than that, its a waste of time. Your time is precious, and you shouldn't be spending it trying to fill holes in your collection for occasions and seasons to wear a scent. These are molecules suspended in water and alcohol. That's it. Nobody on any social media platform should be advocating for blind buying, with affiliate links and codes. Fragrances are personal. They come with stories. They bring back memories. Good ones. Bad ones. Stupid ones. Smelly water can make you think of life. It can make you reminisce. The rules are not real. They are made up by people who want to sell you things, not experiences. Clones, niche, exclusivity, designer, generic. Bleh. Who cares. Nobody cares, not even you. NOBODY. Wear what you like. Wear what makes you happy. Sauvage Elixir is always happy for me.

While it is one of my personal favorites, I understand why some do not consider it a natural successor within the Sauvage line. Still, this combination of ingredients manages to evoke a rich, resinous incense intertwined with spices that can also recall luxurious, traditional masculine soaps. Projection is undeniably strong: even from over a meter away and without any air movement, the fragrance delivers constant and well-defined whiffs. Within its dense structure, a fresher facet emerges—driven by a clean lavender note that clearly preserves the core Sauvage DNA. Although significantly heavier and more concentrated, it retains a subtle refreshing edge that balances the composition. This is not a fragrance suited for warm climates or enclosed environments, as its inherent intensity can become overwhelming if overapplied—especially for those unfamiliar with high-impact fragrances.

Sauvage Elixir is a dictator in an empty palace. This is what the man smells like who won the trial, the woman, the city. And yet, at 4 in the morning, he does not sleep. He sits alone in an office too large, with a yellow bulb cutting his face in two. On the table an unwashed glass, a closed file, a phone that no longer rings. He gave orders. He signed sentences. He broke people with a shout. Now he listens to the radiator beating like a damaged heart. Cold. Animalic. Too sure of himself. The kind of man who no longer confuses love with possession. He once had a God, a woman, maybe a childhood. He buried them all under layers of narcissism and misanthropy. What remained was discipline. What remained was the gaze. What remained was the sick need to control even the air in the room. He is a dirty saint. A prosecutor of his own hell. He walks down the corridor as if the whole building belongs to him, but inside he is only a boy beaten by silence. He interrogates. He does not enter a room. He occupies it. He does not make you want him. He makes you remember everything you hide. Power with a human face and the soul of a dog kept too long on a chain.

I made a review making some of the same points you did and it never got deleted because I didn't complain. I gave my review of the scent and why I believed it wasn't worth the price point. The only fragrance I own with cinnamon because I always associate cinnamon with chewing gum, but this is a very sophisticated hint of cinnamon that blends so well into the opening it is almost fresh smelling. Once you get over the intial spray it becomes the sexiest smell ever. Very masculine, older gentleman, but rich sexy gentleman. The drydown evokes a fast drive in a dark cadillac or smoking a cigar in a casino. You can wear this in summer with shorts and a t-shirt but just one spray behind each knee is probably enough. However, the quality of the lavender, sandalwood, and vetiver drydown is so incredible one can't help but overspray. Maybe the humidity just lets this sit aroumd like soup and fill a room, but that's what we all want ultimately isn't it? It is an elixer. I can't wait to destroy this bottle in the winter!

Daimmm! I lovee this fragrance if u want a truly masculine masterpiece that will show ur presence before even people seeing you, get this juicee. Its strong, spicy, sweet and justt ahhh in a good way. Got 2 blondes chasing me in the bar bcs of this gem and u know what happened after... ))) Just get this masculine powerhouse and u wont regret after getting that amount of attention bcs of this juice. Its not for weak or shy dudes tho, if u want everyone looking to you and doing sniffing just get this gem!💎 But, try once it before buying full bottle its very nice frag but i would say 50-50 u like it or miss it so dont blind buy it. Again this fragrance is for masculine alpha that wants to show his presence everywhere and u who got the strongest fragrance in the room and biggest balls) Facts!!!

I found Sauvage Elixir quite early in my fragrance journey, and it is still the one to beat. It has a stunning blend of spices, leading to a very masculine and well put together fragrance. The opening is stunning, I get warm spices, a bit of cardamom and a hint of liquorice. The warm spice stays through the mid and lingers all through the dry down, with other notes coming and going. Longevity is insane. I have a tendency to over spray other fragrances at times, but this is one of the few that I am very wary of. Even if I'm on a walk by myself, or in an open space, 3-4 sprays max is enough to see you from dusk until dawn. I don't really have a signature scent as such, as it depends on the weather, mood, occasion etc but, if I had to choose one of my collection, this would be it.

Three sprays is enough brochacho. You can put the cap up to your nose once and you'll be getting whiffs of it throughout the day just from the little bit of residue on the cap from the last time you wore it. It is that strong. The scent is one of the best to ever do it. I don't even get much Sauvage DNA personally it kinda does it's own thing. Also, if you are young you can still rock this. I am young and get compliments from people my age. Yes usually younger people prefer fruitier or fresher scents on themselves but trust me this scent still gets compliments from people under 30. It is so rich, captivating, with a dark sweetness in it. To me it gives off the vibes of an old library during a snowstorm. Idk why that's the image in my head every time I wear this.

I see why people like and dislike it. You either like it and respect it or you hate it because it is one of the most used fragrances for men of all time. People who are saying this is overpriced are most likely the ones spraying it 8 times on themselves. This is priced fine considering the fact that you only need 1-2 sprays for the entire day. A 2 oz bottle will last years. (Don't make this your daily) Overall, there is a reason why Sauvage is one of the most sold fragrances of all time. Smells great, masculine, dark fougiere. Just don't over-do it. Also if you have a bottle that does not project loud and doesn't last, congrats, you got scammed. Buy from reputable stores people. Especially Sauvage.

Honestly, I don't like Sauvage or any of the flankers. Not a single one. I've tried to like them, but I just don't. It's Too sharp. Too screechy. Too loud. Women love it, but I can't stand it. BUT THIS STUFF HERE...?!?!! Bruh, two sprays on my arm and five minutes later I'm reaching for my wallet. This is good. Really good. Yes, it's pricey. But the quality is there. This isn't a blue scent. This one is dark. The Sauvage DNA is there, but it's waaaaaayyy in the back. Sweet but not cloying. Spicy without the sharpness. Projects well and last forever. This will definitely shine in the cooler months. Get your nose on it when you can. This could be the one Sauvage you add to your collection.

I have now had my bottle for close to two years. I loved it when I bought it, and love it more now. At first I wouldn’t dare wear this for anything but date-night with the wife. But the 18 month rest on the shelf has given this a different spin. Silage and longevity remain excellent, but there is a next level smoothness to it now. The “noir” nature has softened a bit and has evolved into something more versatile to me. Elixir remains present all day (no joke, ALL day) but is more of a backdrop. Like playing Miles Davis at a dinner party - you hear it, it creates a cool mood, and feels sophisticated, but it’s not the primary focus of whatever you are experiencing.

Another one fragheads dispise..but ignore all that...and once again, a Dior Sauvage took me by surprise. I didnt think this would be one i would be interested in, as for one I do not like the smell of licorice. But this stuff...is absolutely incredible. My first thought, smells like Im walking through a department store... but now I know why.....Its extremely potent. I wore it to a night out at a smoky casino, and that was the perfect choice. It can overcome your surroundings, for sure but you also can overdo it, so be careful! This is my go to on occasions where I need to drown out the surroundings or even the competition!

Ultra masculine, different from the other Sauvages. For me, the undisputed king of Sauvage. From my experience, this fragrance speaks for itself: - Don't worry about women hating Dior Sauvage, they won't even realize you are wearing Sauvage (unless you say it right on their faces or if they smell it on the regular), they're just going to say you smell amazing. - You will feel instantly elevated after using this fragrance as there will be compliments heading your way. - Smoother than the other Sauvage. Despite the spicy opening, it dries down to a woody, ambery scent that is extremely masculine. 10/10

@Pedros taken, 18415 formula is OK if you never had the original formula 15755. The peppery opening was removed, but the longevity is there. You are lucky to have even this. The last reformulation lasts no more than 6-8h. 21XXX formula. Please check my comment in this thread. I have all three formulas. Because I couldn't find 15755 formula I bought two 100ml. backup bottles of 18415 formula, digging in the drawers under the shelves at Sephora last year. You can easily recognize the new formula without eye glasses - perfume comes with a cheap regular boxes, not like the luxury heavy boxes before.

People out here really try to say Elixir was reformulater ? LMAO must be a hater joke. I can guarantee 100% that people who said thay are just pure haters from the beginning. A fragrance cannot be reformulated after a such a short period it's barely a year since launched. So don't listen to these tards about reformulation 2 sparys at best is enough to get 12+ hours of longevity with at least 5 hours of strong projection BTW I have a 2022 batch so yeah don't try to say "you have an older batch" I had both 2021 and 2022 batches and literally same without any diff. Of all the "Blue" elixirs, this one is my favorite. • If I were to rank them: Dior Sauvage Elixir, YSL Y Elixir, Chanel BdC L'Exclusif. • Very different from the EDT (which I also love); there is no redundancy between the two. • Demachy created a legit masterpiece here by not only making Sauvage "louder" or "denser". • He completely transformed the DNA into a rich, dark, spicy 80s-style powerhouse that lasts, and lasts, and lasts. • There's plenty of lavender, cinnamon, licorice, and cardamom. It feels luxurious and commanding. • 10/10 fragrance. I'm taking this one to my grave!

I really dont have much to say other than this is one of the best scents I've ever smelled. I've found myself desperately looking for something else that can satisfy like this one. It begs you to over spray and you will likely want to, but you'll learn after the initial novelty that no more than 2 sprays is ever necessary. The scent is truly addicting. Really only for cold days, no sun. Excellent evening scent if you're the type to do one spray before bed like I have a few times. 30 years from now this will be regarded as this generations Drakkar Noir. INSTANT classic.

If you fancy yourself a man, this should be in your possession, even if you don't have any colognes. Even if you get a new batch that does not perform as well, just double up on the sprays. Any man that says that they do not like this is no man at all. They probably love Myslf, which is for women, and they probably like pleasing other men.

Best designer fragrance.When u enter a room people notice your presence.Girls love this.You will definitely stand out because almost no one buys the elixir edition because its more expensive but its worth the money. This is the longest smelling designer fragrance i have ever smelt.Beast mode fragrance.The smell is so incredible that i cant even describe it but it smells like a masculine confident man. I wore this 3 days in a row and got more compliments in 3 days than i have earned in my whole life. Its not everyday wear.

Fantastic, spicy and masculine fragrance.a True modern classic, I think it will go down as one of the greatest powerhouse fragrances oat. Definitely strong and bold, you have to be confident wearing it. Very spicy, peppery, and strong licorice note, not getting any freshness, feels very warm and spicy, very unique and polarising for some so do try it out. Performance and projection is out of this world, but definitely a more mature scent, wouldn’t recommend for younger guys. (Spray responsibly)

Nuclear. The performance from this is insane. This for me truly justifies the price point for a 60ml bottle, as unlike most fragrances you absolutely do not need more than 3 sprays at a time. Due to this, my bottle has lasted me longer than other ones at 100ml. Very spicy and potent, but this works in its favour in the outdoors in colder weather. Fantastic for what its for (winter all day lasting scent), not so good at what its not for (warmer weather or close quarters subtleness).

This cologne is almost perfect. I mean when you look at a cologne you mainly look at 5 things. That being scent, popularity, longevity, sillage, and lastly the price. This cologne meets all of these expectations except price which I would argue doesn’t matter if you’re trying to find a good fragrance. The dupes of this fragrance don’t even compare like Asad that just smells like tar and pepper while this fragrance smells fantastic. Great winter fragrance, 10/10.

This keeps some of the fresh, citrusy facets of the original while adding tons of spice and thickness. The opening can be cloying and suffocating due to the potency of the cinnamon; yet it smoothes out in the drydown and you get an ambery, aromatic, nutty-sweet, woody scent. I love the sweet notes they've selected as they aren't just straight up sugar and vanilla, like many similar fragrances do. This has everything I want in a darker fragrance. ✅Excellent

This and BR540 Extrait are the King and Queen of Orientals in my book . Dior took what wouldve been just another Amber slop fragrance, and oversaturated it with 3 of my favorite spices (Cinnamon, Nutmeg, & Licorice), creating a totally and unique scent profile. Projection is also absurd; ive had people tell me theyve caught whiffs of it 48 hours+ after i spray it. Also doesnt at all have the Sauvage scent dna i feel like?

One of the absolute best spicy/woody fragrances. It carries the sauvage DNA, but to me it smells significantly more sophisticated and full-bodied. When I tested this fragrance in stores, initially I didn't like it off the paper, but once it was sprayed on skin, it started to shine. I love how strong it is, 1-2 sprays is all you need, and it will last 12+ hours. Absolutely amazing for winter/fall, would highly recommend.

This is a beast. I love the smell of licorice and this fragrance does it better than any other licorice based fragrance i have ever smelt. This is only suitable for fall and winter because this is a nuclear BOMB. This is incredibly sweet and spicy and it projects really well. This is NOT for everyone, not everyone would enjoy this. This is the best out of the sauvage line with the parfum being right behind it.

Glad to finally own the Elixer after researching and to have the #18415 formulation since all the stocks in the Dior stores are 21664 . 21664 scent is great but its just like EDP level very far from the youtube reviews from 4 years ago. 18415 formulation is the best I was able to get and is the best fit considering Philippines weather. It is still beast mode performance but versatile enough in our weather.

I had been avoiding any Sauvage fragrance, felt like everyone was on the bandwagon just because of marketing and felt it was overhyped. I got a 7ml Elixir sample from a purchase I made. I stand corrected and I have to say that Elixir is my new favorite. It reminds me a lot of Balenciaga Pour Homme, had it in the 90s and I still place it as the best fragrance I’ve ever had. Elixir is probably my new go to.

This was my first designer fragrance and it’s still my favorite to this day. It has a spicy licorice note that lasts forever on my clothes and somehow ended up getting me more compliments than anything else I’ve worn. I didn’t expect to like it at all because I usually prefer sweet scents, and this is the complete opposite. It’s very bitter and masculine. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying it. 2021 batch.

this one is a nuclear bomb. insanely good longevity and projection. lasts for DAYS. always gets compliments, i mean ALL THE TIME. may be the most masculine fragrance on the market. no regrets buying, i wish i did it sooner. the opening is a bit too spicy, it irritates. but after a few minutes, the scent profile gives a strong, dominant, masculine self-confidence mode to me.

Is it mass appealing? Yes Did Dior intend to create a fragrance that most people enjoy? Yes Is that a bad thing? No Is it original? No, nothing genuinely is tho :/ Will the niche fragrance community give you a gold star for wearing this? probably not If you isolate the scent, stop comparing it to other scents or have antiestablishment thoughts does it smell great? YES!

so with this cologne, I am not actually a fan of the smell that much HOWEVER the amount of compliments that I get with this mf is INSANE. everytime I fkin wear it there are at least 5-6 people telling me how great I smell. because of it, it easily deserves the money that you spend on it. Also I get +14 hours on skin and WEEKS on clothing like sweatshirts n shit

When I purchased a bottle about a month after it released, I loved it so much that I bought a second bottle before I finished my launch bottle for fear of reformulations. My sealed backup bottle has a batch code of 2B02. When I check the manufacturer's date, it says February 2022, so I hope mine is still close to my launch batch in terms of smell and longevity.

Night time banger! It's deep, dark, smoky, spicy, and a bit mysterious w/ a very prominent licorice accord. It is not office safe, school safe, gym safe or honestly even daytime safe but is an absolute head turner on nights out. Projection and Longevity are incredible but definitely get your nose on this before buying as it may be a bit too potent for some.

Don't listen to all the b.s. online, this is a magnificent scent profile, If you like savauge edt, edp, or parfum, I wouldnt blind buy this, this takes a very different route than the other flankers, its a very masculine spicy scent and BE CAREFUL with this one, boy this stuff is nuclear, id say anymore than 4 sprays is a real risk, 2 sprays if your inside.

warm and spicy with a touch of softness. i have to preface this by saying that the whole sauvage range is one of my all time faves. this is long lasting to the point where i find myself smell my arms / shirt whenever i wear it haha. it’s subtle and mainstream enough that people won’t immediately recognize it as sauvage whenever you pass them.
