Highly recommended forguys 40+ in the Midwest US. Fragrantica Notes: Top: Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Elemi Heart: Sandalwood Base: Olibanum, Tonka Bean, Vanilla My interpretation of the notes: In the opening I definitely get a clean and soapy citrus but would not be able to pick out the individual notes that contribute to this as all three can have that quality. The heart and base are the same way, and while I get a pleasant vanilla dry down that retains a hint of the citrusy opening, I cannot differentiate the various notes from each other. Is this because I have an untrained nose or maybe is this what is meant by a well-blended fragrance? I think we can safely assume that it is a bit of both. Similar scents or vibe: Outside of the Sauvage line you could look at Bleu de Chanel, with the Parfum concentration being the most similar to this with a slightly darker take. For a more citrus forward feel, Terre d’Hermès Parfum would be a great option that can be found at amazing prices from discounters. I haven’t experienced anything in the niche world that would provide a similar experience, but I am sure that there is something out there that would fit. The experience: The fresh and clean opening reminds me of a citrus tinged bar of soap that sticks around all day, drying down to a subtle vanilla with a hint of wood. Stays close to the skin with very little sillage and an intimate projection. Does not overstay its welcome, washes off easily in the shower and what lingers on clothing is just a fresh, clean scent that could be mistaken for fabric softener if worn again the next day. This is a slightly boring but really easy to wear fragrance. I wore it almost exclusively to the office where it seems to have been well received. Even with it sitting close to the skin, it did elicit a handful of positive comments from both friends and colleagues as well as a few strangers during times of closer than normal contact. I mention this because I had worn the EDP on a Costco run a while back and got chased down by a lady that said she had been following my scent trail and just had to find out what I was wearing. From what I can tell, this does not have that kind of sillage and has only drawn attention in close quarters. I wore this as my exclusive work scent beginning in February of 2026 when my bottle was down to about 1/3. Wearing it every day gave me an appreciation for the quality that Dior puts into their fragrances. Even though my nose is unable to really pick out every nuance, I can still tell that the wearing experience feels smooth with no harsh or off-putting aspects to sour the experience. This scent is appropriate for most situations with the caveat of being judicious with the sprays in the heat or the gym if you are buying this as a 1-and-done type scent. It could get overwhelming in a hot and humid setting if heavily applied. The bottle and presentation are perfect for what they aim for. This is a high-end designer fragrance from a house that is known for excellence. The bottle is aesthetically pleasing in the signature Sauvage style and the pressurized atomizer works flawlessly. The magnetic cap is perfectly aligned to always be in the correct orientation both on top and with the Dior bee inside the cap. The box is minimal but well made. Dior is protective of their name so the deals you will find at discounters are usually not as steep as others but even at retail, this fragrance offers a very good value. It is very easy to find a good sale at retail with some patience or by opening a store card for a decent discount. Professional administrative career in healthcare. Happily married with my wife having a lot of input into my fragrance choices. In fact, this purchase was her choice as I had been avoiding the Sauvage line altogether up until she had me try this while out frag shopping. My fragrance experience would put me at an advanced beginner with a collection sitting around 40 bottles including a mix of designer, niche, and luxury scents. I fell down the fragrance rabbit hole a few years ago after my signature scent of 20 years was discontinued and I turned to the internet to discover my next fragrance of choice. Final thoughts: I highly recommend this to anyone that relates to my review. It is easily found in most department stores and places like Sephora/Ulta so as nice as this is, you would be an idiot to blind buy it, please don’t! As mentioned earlier, the EDP concentration is thought to be the best version of this DNA with better performance and maybe a better scent profile though, to my (admittedly dysfunctional) sense of smell, it is way more soapy and burns my nose a little bit. The EDT that started it all smells great, is a bit harsher than the EDP and may come with some baggage depending on your situation and social circle but for most, this should be a non-issue. The Elixir is a different animal altogether and while great, for me it has an entirely different use case than the EDP or Parfum and has very little in common with them. Altogether, it is a great line from a great house.

So I finally got around to picking up a full bottle of Sauvage Parfum. From the first time I experienced Sauvage, I always favored the Parfum. The only reason I ended up buying the EDP before the Parfum was because I was told the EDP was more versatile and projected better. Now that I have spent some time in the hobby, I feel like I have enough experience to draw my own conclusions. Let's get into it; Scent: The opening is citrusy, woody, and spicy. The primary notes I get are bergamot, mandarin orange, sandalwood, and olibanum. The strongest of the notes are the bergamot and sandalwood. The bergamot opens up the fragrance with a bright citrus pop accompanied by aromatics and fresh spiciness. Right alongside is the sandalwood, sturdy and woody but nuanced with a powdery facet. This is followed by the mandarin orange and olibanum. The mandarin orange adds more citrus, but with a sweeter edge to counter the tart bitterness from the bergamot. Lastly, the olibanum rounds out the opening with resinous, woody, and spicy foundation. One interesting facet of this fragrance is that the sandalwood note helps to tie in the "ambroxan-y" Sauvage DNA without actually using ambroxan. The dry down is woody, spicy, and powdery. The primary notes I get are sandalwood, bergamot, olibanum, and tonka bean. The sandalwood has become the main player in the dry down with boosted woodiness and a bit of its signature creaminess along with the powderiness. The bergamot is still easily noticeable as well, although it's less citrus and more fresh spiciness and aromatics compared to how it was in the opening. This is followed by the olibanum and tonka bean. The olibanum still has the same resinous, woody, and spicy accords while the tonka bean has emerged to provide some sweetness with an extra dose of powder. The vanilla is slightly there in the dry down, but not enough to consider it a main note. Lastly, the "ambroxan-y" vibe is still present from the sandalwood in the dry down. Performance: Initial projection is very strong and can fill a room. Sillage matches that strength with a dense scent trail. After about 3-4 hours the projection was still about 4-6 feet and the scent trail was still easily noticeable. At around the 7-8 hour mark the projection was about arms length and the scent trail had died down but was still noticeable. The fragrance became a skin scent before hour 10. When to wear: Much like the rest of the Sauvage line, with the exception of Elixir, Sauvage Parfum is a super versatile fragrance that can be worn anytime, anywhere. Any season, any occasion, formal or casual, even to the office, it will garner positive attention. Blind buy: If you like the Sauvage line you'll like this, simple as that. Final verdict: This review has served to verify my initial opinion; between the EDT, EDP, and Parfum I think the Parfum is the best. Its Sauvage, but more grown up, classy, and sophisticated. The metallic and "screechy" ambroxan note has been removed and replaced by a strong, powdery, and slightly creamy sandalwood. If Sauvage EDT is the young guy in their 20's partying it up on the dance floor with a beer in their hand, Sauvage Parfum is the well-dressed gentleman in their 40's sitting at the bar with a whiskey. Performance was nearly identical to what I experienced with Sauvage EDP; strong within the first few hours and lasting about 8-10 altogether. It's the same story with versatility and mass-appeal, both very high. You can wear this anywhere, anytime, and most everyone will think you smell great. The bottom line; I think Sauvage EDT and EDP are both iconic fragrances and deserve their accolades, but Parfum takes the DNA and vastly improves upon it. Sauvage EDT walked so Sauvage Parfum could run. Definitely try them all and see which one resonates with you more, but I will always recommend the Parfum hands down. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10

Mistakingly ordered a bottle of this 2 years ago, indtending to order the EDP, I liked it and held on to it, but enjoyed the EDP way more, so I ended up gifting my bottle to my father for christmas, as it was basically unused outside of one wear. He has loved it. Zoom forward to now, and I got a little 10ml splash on bottle of this with Dior order maybe a year ago, and every now and again I sample it, and finally I did it the other day and thought "why the heck do I not own this?" So I caved and got it again. Lol. Sauvage EDP is my signature scent in the warmer months, and the Elixir is my signature scent in the cooler months, I absolutely love everything about it, and with the Parfum having the same loveable DNA and smell, I just had to lol. This one takes the scent of the EDT and EDP, taking it up a notch through the longevity, the opening, I detect that "Sauvage bergamot", they all seem to have this same bergamot going on, the Parfum adds a distinct orange vibe that I absolutely detect. The experience takes a bit of a twist through the rest if the drydown though. Instead of the peppery vibe, they basically seem to have made the same sort of Sauvage smell, just refined af, it gives the idea that its Sauvage edp or edt, but all the while the more in depth you try to be with your nose, you can tell it's something different. The sandalwood is noticeable as well as the olibanum. There is the obvious lack of lavendery ambroxen here, but they do this up in a way that it still resembles it. This has always reminded me of if the folks behind Armani Code made a Sauvage clone or flanker, there's an interesting thing about it that makes me think of Code, but also BDC as well a little bit here and there too. Just a nice smell all in all. The performance is good, even on a hot ass day, I got 8 hours or so out of it, I'd love the weather to cool down so my frags can actually perform. The sillage is the lightest I feel of the main Sauvage line (excluding Eau Forte), but that's not really a gripe, it performs well regardless. This just proves Sauvage may just be my all time fragrance line that I've experienced. It's cliche and im Chad af for saying it. Lol but idk this line has always reminded me of what my grandpa wore, and I love it. I guess now I just need to pick up a bottle of the EDT and be done with it. Hell, at this point I might even get Eau Forte too. 😂

This fragrance will put a little hair on your chest, and possibly your bum-bum. I'd like to compare this to Bleu de Chanel's Parfum. Dior has a powerful citrus opening with orange and bergamot but it also has something slightly bitter--a spice like nutmeg? I'm not exactly sure, but Chanel wins over in the opening--it has a gorgeous effervescent soda pop feature that smells as expensive and as high class as you can imagine. But after the opening fades away, the Dior parfum takes on a candied lavender, with the perfect amount of sweetness. It feels a lot like super expensive powder and it is delicious. I'm betting that men would like this more than women, but I can't say that for certain as I've seen women reviewers who seem to appreciate it. Meanwhile, Chanel still retains this fresh sprite-like, perfectly-done aldehydic effervescence for quite a while! Sure, you can feel the amberwoods creeping in, but this woodiness is no where near as apparent as it is in Dior. Over time, Dior gets woodier and woodier, almost incensy while Chanel feels a little more citrus/resin/ sweet. It's definitely lighter than the Dior and somehow retains that fresh citric top for a long time. If you surveyed100 people, I think a fair number would choose Chanel over Dior just because of its mass-appeal quality. HOWEVER, that being said, I believe that the Dior Parfum would likely garner more attention from other males while women would likely prefer the Chanel parfum. Finally, Dior does feel a little more substantive than Chanel--that's the only downside of the composition relying heavily on citrus and certain resins to support it. The woody, sandalwood quality of Dior takes quite a while to die down, lasting on a shirt for about 12 hours. I can still smell Chanel after the 10 hour mark but it quite faint compared to Dior. These are both perfumes which should be applied to clothing rather than warm skin because they both have performance issues. However, If we were just discussing these fragrances in the context of an office setting with climate control then these would be nine out of ten maybe even 9.5 out of 10 simply for the very reason that they don't project monstrously. They leave a little bit of a trail behind but not an overwhelming one like many designers might. And both clearly smell expensive. I bought them both :)

I always liked Sauvage. Is it oversprayed by college students? Yes. Mildly overkill in the Texan heat? Yes, and though I like it, I can't bring myself to own a bottle because of that ambroxan base. When I went to try the other Sauvage variants, the elixir was priced way more than I'd ever pay for a bottle of nice smelling alcohol. The EDP didn't excite. But the Parfum struck me as something different, clearly Sauvage, but won't clear a room (or my brains) with a single spray. Sauvage Parfum takes the pepper and most of the ambroxan out, and crams in tons of sandalwood and vanilla. This is especially apparent in the drydown, which is now smooth and powdery instead of metallic and PEPPER. Since broadening my horizons a bit, I can see the Parfum has more in common with icons like Drakkar Noir and Guerlain Habit Rouge EDT than YSL Y or Bleu de Chanel. That said, I don't see how anyone can say this doesn't project or last. This'll still clear a room for an hour or two with just one spray, the Sauvage line is the only one where I can only wear a half spray to not gas my family. I can get twelve hours on one spray, its powerfully reserved. The sweet citrus opening wears down to a classic combo of vanilla and sandalwood, but with a twist. The elemi note lends a balsamic edge that lingers in the nose in an interesting way. It's got twang. Being the suave, refined Sauvage (no that's not a superiority complex, just being objective), this is actually more versatile than the EDT. Wear with jeans and a t-shirt, or a suit, there's no problem with this one. It's not as sporty as the EDT though. Just... please go easy on the trigger in the summer, especially when it's humid. Might be better suited to summer evenings than blazing summer days. A nice summer complement is Sauvage's distant, far older relative, Eau Sauvage EDT. All that to say, Sauvage Parfum is nice for those who can't do ambroxan but want Sauvage, or like the classics but want something vaguely modern. I suspect there's still ambroxan in here, Parfumo lists it but I can't find it on the ingredients on the box. If there is, it's toned way down from the original, much more managable.

Most things about Sauvage have already been said, so it makes sense to reiterate that this is the classier, grown up version of the Sauvage line, where the Sauvage DNA is smoothened out and shrouded in a creamy and sweet coat of vanilla and tonka bean. The initial blast is very citrusy and rich, mostly mandarine to my nose, but quickly gives way for a woody and spicy core. It is only in the mid- to late stages, where the Sauvage DNA reveals itself. In this way, it still retains the same attraction as the original, without being as aggressive and shouting its presence from the top of the hill, like its EDT and EDP siblings do. Between the EDT, EDP and Parfum, this is definitely the more mature, creamier and softer version of the Sauvage line, which holds its ground. What I like about Sauvage is that it smells distinct, manly and has an almost animalic touch to it. It feels haute couture, but has this mass market appeal that makes it blend in in even casual settings, which I think captures the philosophy of Dior's men fragrance line. Performance is still excellent in my view. Lasts about 8h in total, with decent projection (at arms length) and silage for the first 3-4h. After that it gets closer to the skin, but makes its presence known, by bouncing off the skin and giving away small whiffs here and there. This is targeted towards the crowd that loves the Sauvage line, but has been hesitant to grab the EDT version due to its overly strong projection and it's bad reputation (or in particular its association with the f*-boy crowd). The Sauvage line is a masterpiece of modern perfumery, and this flanker is a worthy addition to the original. Is it overused? Yes. Bad reputation? Most definitely. Does it exude individualism and taste? Hell, no! But these are things not related to the scent itself, but its association and omnipresence. If you can overlook these things, you really have a more mature signature scent here that feels timeless and is suitable for all occasions and seasons, even if it feels more at home during the colder seasons or at night, given its sweeter interpretation.

Out of the entire Sauvage Line - minus the Elixir. This is the best of the three. Fresh, spicy, seductive, long lasting, compliment getter. This Parfum version takes a darker, richer turn, embracing warm, resinous, and woody elements while maintaining the signature freshness that makes Sauvage iconic. Sauvage Parfum, like it's predecessors before it is a phenomenal fragrance. Blended to perfection. Powerful opening filled with the zest of Bergamot and Mandarin Orange, blends well with the Sandalwood. One of the best Sandalwoods scent on par with Aaaron Terence Hughes, Santal Extreme. It eases into the Olibum, Tonka, and Vanilla base, completing its final performance. That scent is just something else, seriously. It's got this warm, spicy thing going on that I can't get enough of. A little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts forever, which I love. The bottle itself is sleek and looks great on my dresser. It makes me feel confident and ready to take on the world, like a wild, untamed stallion. Out of the 3 this is a lot more mature than the EdT and the EdP. Both fantastic in their own way. This scent is perfect for evening wear, romantic encounters, or moments when you want to make a statement. The longevity is impressive, easily lasting over 8-10 hours, with a strong yet refined projection. Dior Sauvage Parfum is a masterful balance of power and elegance, making it a must-have for those who appreciate rich, woody fragrances with a modern twist. Through desert winds and twilight’s glow, A scent ignites, both fierce and slow. With bergamot, so crisp and bright, A flash of dawn, a spark of light. But deeper still, the heart takes flight, Sandalwood, warm, in velvet night. A touch of spice, a whisper bold, A tale of passion, rich and told. The embers fade, yet still remain, A smoky trail, a sweet refrain. In echoes deep and dark embrace, Sauvage lingers—timeless grace.

I am on my second 200ml bottle of this, having bought the first one as soon as it released. It joins a very rare club of fragrances I have bought again after consuming a whole bottle. Is Dior Sauvage my favourite fragrance ever? No. Is the Parfum the best interpretation of Sauvage? Not for me (Elixir is). So why do I love it so much? It. just. works. every. damn. time. Sprayed a couple sprays at 8AM before leaving home for work and it is right alongside you all day. When I get home I can still get wafts of clean and spicy pepper with an undertone of musky woods. It just smells "clean" and has a certain effervescence on my skin that is light and airy for a parfum concentration. So many fragrances released nowadays just aren't designed to last so you end up using more and more, not Sauvage. It rewards restraint. Go easy on the atomiser and you can depend on it pushing out at an arm's length for most of the day. But the real magic is in the scent trail. This smells so amazing when someone walks by you and it so distinctly Sauvage- no matter the concentration. There's another guy in my office that used to wear either the EDT or more likely the EDP and I'd always catch myself enjoying it in the air. Wonderful. Yes it's popular, but so are many of my favourite foods, music, books- it can also smell very similar during the drydown to the EDT and EDP but that's just the reality of having such a well executed and well marketed fragrance from a powerhouse brand- of course it's going to be popular. I don't think you should dock points from the fragrance because you think every single guy and their dog smells like it (the reality is they don't and you probably only notice Sauvage because of it's wonderful longevity and sillage/projection). All in all, one of my most used daily fragrances. It has earned its spot as a forever reach for me. 5/5.

Sauvage Parfum, although it remains true to the Sauvage DNA, seems like a wonderful sandalwood perfume to me... Dior's Sauvage Parfum, presented in 2018, is a work that represents the maturity of the series. Sauvage flankers have matured over the years (I'm not talking about Very Cool Spray and Eau Forte. Sauvage Elixir is a completely different perfume for me). This perfume, which has now evolved from raw power to an elegant depth, offers a masculinity in harmony with nature while also appealing to refined tastes. The name behind this transformation is Dior's legendary perfumer François Demachy. In this perfume, Demachy creates an elegant composition that integrates with the skin, acting like a second skin, instead of an intensity that hits the face directly. At the center of this approach is sandalwood, specially sourced from New Caledonia. This sandalwood, with its sweet, creamy and calm structure, adds both warmth and an inner serenity to the perfume. It neither exaggerates masculinity nor becomes too aromatic; it is measured, refined and deep. Demachy's mastery is most clearly evident here. He places sandalwood not just as a note, but as a narrator carrying the spirit of the perfume. The other notes, spice, bergamot and amber, take shape around it, but never become dominant. This harmony seems to have been established with the patience and intuition of an artisan. Sauvage Parfum is proof of Demachy's skill in creating a male image that is intertwined with nature but urban, strong but never vulgar. The use of sandalwood so elegantly, so deeply and yet so understandably is a silent but impressive signature of his perfumery vision. François Demachy creates not just a perfume with this work, but a mood. And at the center of this spirit stands that masterfully crafted sandalwood.

First of all i wanna say i have a clone of this (its NOT hamdan the sheik) so not the real thing but its similar i think It opens up with a fresh sweetish-slightly sour citrusy smell but not a light fleeting smell,you can almost feel it has a weight/body?,i also used to notice a slight piney,almost juniper berry like resinous menthol green and bitter-sweetish note but i dont get it anymore,this citrusy scent persist for the first hours making this scent a balance of citrusy-fruity fresh sweetness and a woody-powdery slightly vanillic and sweet vibe (citrusy notes are the strongest for the first hours) as it dries down the citrus starts calming and woody notes (listed as sandalwood) and other listed oriental notes such as vanilla,tonka bean and olibanum become more prominent (which i dont know if olibanum the reason of the slightly incensy feel i can sometimes notice or the piney resinous feeling in the opening) as i said im judging of the clone i use so this is a versatile fragrance you can use year round for office,school or special occasions and date nights,may be a little bit too sophisticated for daily or gym use but you can still use it (but it might be a bit on the heavier side at the summertime) that lasts long and projects good,only if the drydown would be a tad bit weeter i think it would be better,my rating is 4,5/10 for now also i used to have a friend that had this fragrance (he claimed it was original) and i remember a less citrusy more woody chocolatey or coffee-like vanilla forward scent but i might be remembering wrong because another friend i knew that was well acquainted with the sauvage line said his neighbour has this fragrance and mine smells the same as his.

Type of fragrance that you wear when you're the protagonist of an action film and you just get told your wife died and then you have to watch a montage of how brutal it was but its ok because setting you up for a crazy adventure where you are really cool well put together and mysterious and you smell good. The action movie fragrance. Type of fragrance you wear when you get in a fender bender and crash your car and it explodes and the flames rise high and the heat consumes anyone close to the car because the explosion was so big and the police turn up and theyre like woah everyone stay back and then a fire truck gets there like neeenawwwneeeeenawww and a rugged man steps out and says whoever in that car must definitely be dead because its so hot but you just step away from the car completely unharmed and everyone thinks wow he's so cool I bet he smells good too and they're right because you do. The automobile fragrance. Type of fragrance you wear when you are nailing your secretary in some big shot job in the city and acting like the dogs bollocks and macho man but your life isn't really what you want it to be and you're losing touch with reality and dissociating more by the day but you've got so many Valentino suits and Oliver people's glasses and Jean Paul gaultier overnight bags and so many things that you can convince yourself that everything is going swimmingly and then you catch a whiff of sauvage parfum and as a single tear drop runs down your cheek mid-shag and a smile creeps across your face as you slowly realise that everything is going to be okay as long as you don't tell the wife. The big shot banker fragrance.

Dior Sauvage Parfum in 2025. This was one of the first scents I bought which started my collection journey back in 2021. Years later after trying hundreds of fragrances, I must say Sauvage Parfum still holds up. Do I see it as one of the best things ever? Definitely not anymore. However I must say it has stood the test of time for me. Normally when you start collecting, you think your first purchases are the best thing ever, then you try new things, more expensive as well, then you get into niche and your whole perspective changes on what a fragrance should be. Many scents have come and go in my collection, but Sauvage Parfum is still great. Now I can't lie I went through this bottle quickly and didn't purchase it again, but I continue to smell the atomizer and it's still lovely. I refused to buy it again only because I wanted to explore more scents, but I've come to the conclusion recently that it's worth buying another bottle. To summarize if you are thinking of buying this: Scent: Lovely citrus orange sandalwood opening that isn't as obnoxious as the EDT & EDP. The dry-down has some OG DNA to it with some tonka but it maintains that citrus throughout. Longevity: 10/10. When I started wearing this in the office at my old job, my boss complained that I smelled too strong, same with my colleagues. You don't realize how nose-blind you get to your own fragrance. Price: This is the only problem with this, it's relatively expensive on discounters and the retail price is definitely not worth it. But given it's longevity, you can go easy on the sprays to keep it lasting long. 4 years later and it's still a 9/10 for me!

Sauvage Parfum was an accident on my part. A friend recommended the Eau de Parfum as the best Sauvage flanker, but Surrender to Chance only carried the Parfum decant, which I thought was the same thing. After wearing it once, I went ahead and bought the 60ml on Jomashop for about 95 dollars. Sauvage itself has been analyzed and reviewed to death, but to me the Parfum is something special. The ambroxan note is very light compared to the EDT, and the loud, "look at me" personality is nonexistent. The first few sprays give that citrus note, but after a short time disappear, replaced by the Bergamot and Sandalwood. For the remainder of its time (projects ~2 hours, skin scent for 7-8 hours), the woody scent and tonka bean is center stage. Despite the line itself being so ubiquitous, Parfum doesn't feel like a dumb reach scent. It is intentional, confident, and classy. I have worn this fragrance with a blue suit and to me that feels like it's most appropriate compliment. Dressing it down feels wrong in some ways. Sauvage Parfum is simply the whole package. The bottle is beautiful, a dark blue and black potion, with a satisfying magnetic cap that leaves a crisp snap when replaced. The atomizer is just lovely as well. It feels luxurious with the Dior engraving, and spraying a very light but potent mist with even a small press. It can be easy to overspray so a light touch is required. Just the feeling given by wearing this is incredible. Assured, professional, and purely masculine. 8/10

Whenever Dior makes a Parfum it can either be great (Dior Homme Parfum, Eau Sauvage Parfum) or just ok (Fahrenheit Parfum). I was quite apprehensive about Sauvage. The thing is, making a parfum of Dior Homme is easy. It's a deep, sensual scent with extreme complexity. Amping up some aspects and turning down others makes it very different. Sauvage though, is very simplistic and straight forward. So there isn't a lot of wiggle room for improvement, as Sauvage is damn great as it is. But of course, Dior pulled it off. Combine that familiar dusty fruity citrus opening of the EdT with sandalwood. Add incense and vanilla to the base, whilst dialing down the ambroxan and you have this. I totally get the advertisements for this, there is a desert vibe to it. Everything is sort of raw and dusty, but still well composed. This is Sauvage for the adult man. Do note, that this is NOT Sauvage in a business suit. This is still that fun little fougere scent that won over so many hearts, but it's more complex, deeper and heavier. The only con I can find, is that the added heaviness makes Sauvage Parfum unsuited for extreme heat. For that you need the Very Cool spray, or the EdT. Is the Parfum worth it over the EdT? Well, for me it is. I have gone through a 200 ml of Sauvage, and the Parfum is a fresh take on the theme, and one that is more in my style. But I do recommend you try it first, as the Parfum is quite different. Longevity is brilliant - 14-16 hours. Rating: 10/10

This fragrance is a classic reminder of 'simple is beautiful' and also known as the Forgotten Sauvage I feel at times. ----- I love, and I mean love the Dior Sauvage parfum❤: modern, smooth, and mature. A very linear and simple DNA, but it just works so well (has a classic refinement base but with a dark-edge to it keeping it contemporary). Think smooth powdery vanilla, with a bit of crisp to it, while moving away from the fresh EDT/EDP DNA. Get the 10oz refill bottle (a price bargain for what you get) and you have a top ten parfum for years to come for when the weather gets cold. This is my favorite release out of the Sauvage line, legit I could smell it all day without any issues. ----- Only downsides: doesn’t handle the hot seasons well (could get heavy), isn’t as old-school as some people might think but also not as youthful too (perfect for guys in their mid-20s to late 30’s) and is not as a complex or multi-chaptered as other parfums like with Chanel Bleu Parfum (you pretty much get what you smell right away). Also, I think some got reformulated, so check the smell asap: it should smell like dark powdery, rich vanilla right away after you spray it. ---- Overall a great release from the house of Dior - top ten designer parfum in my book.

I will never get the force hate for Dior Savauge line. Like this dudes that are hating this fragrance be gay or either their chick got stolen from the dude that wears Savauge 😂. Cause it is and it will be timeless designer fragrance of all time. My dad, uncle used to wear this fragrance (not now) and rn in my 20 Iam also wearing this boy and its still a banger 💯. You can wear this line literally every where (except Elixir)any time. Its sophisticated, charming, masculine, classic, not too offensive, not too sweet, not too spicy, huzz obsessed with it though they be saying its trash. Once one dumb chick in my class was saying Savauge is bad fragrance and she hates it😂, next day I wore Savauge parfum and the first person that noticed and complimented my perfume was literally SHE... This people are just too simple to have their own opinion and they are hating what others somehow hate. Mine favourite is Parfum version like its too sexy and sophisticated i wear it mostly when i go clubbing and almost everytime end up chicks kissing my neck and saying mmmm whats that sexy smell))). Just wear what u like and stop being mass of people, start owning ur own opinion). Facts!!!

Probably the most well known fragrance line of the decade. I've heard the praises and hype throughout the years and eventually the "hate" it accrued relatively recently as it became the staple designer fragrance from boy to man. Some say its a f**kboy fragrance, some hate it because its popular, some hate it because its too simple, etc, etc. So, I decided to finally go and test the Sauvage line at my local mall ignoring all criticisms of what I've seen on social media. After the tests, I completely understand why its the pinnacle of modern fragrances. Sauvage is so innocuous and appealing in every way that almost everyone on Earth would say, "Its great." The one that captured me the most was the Parfum version. It may not be as spicy, but the smoother opening of the citrus creates a fresh masculine scent that is perfection for everyday and everywhere. The citrus lingers long after it becomes woody and is the signature of this Sauvage version. All in all, I get the hype, I get why this is everywhere. It's like an iPhone, a Porsche 911 GT3, a sneaker that everyone wears decades later. Its a classic.

I miss this stuff man, the basic but high quality ones really hit home, my experience with a shared 200ml bottle with my dad 3 years ago: Amazing scent and much deeper than the previous ones in the line, very clean masculine spicy sweet. It lasted a very long time, especially on clothes i always smelled it on my school clothes and it was a great smell, especially my jacket every morning when i went to put it on. But in terms of projection and sillage, i always felt like there was basically none, for a sauvage parfum i thought it would also be stronger cause it lasted longer but this was not the case, BUT. For some reason i prefer it that way sometimes, smelling it yourself throughout the day on you and your clothes is just enough projection, you don’t need it to scream that you smell good, that’s what makes a fragrance classy (not saying this is that type of classy, but this is definitely very mature). And i probably went noseblind to it from wearing it a lot, well worth it.

Sauvage Parfum is a citrus, spicy and woody fragrance. The opening is slightly citric, but the aroma quickly fills with spices and amber notes. It maintains the DNA of the Sauvage line with a little lavender, but in this version it is less prominent. Once reaching the drying phase, an aroma based on sensual sandalwood remains. Like the entire Sauvage line, it seems to me to be a timeless fragrance, almost for any season of the year, except for very warm days where I think it can be overwhelming, but this is more elegant than the EDT version and less intrusive than Elixir. Its longevity has been more than 10 hours, but in sillage and projection it is the one that projects the least of all the Sauvage versions. Its aroma is quite pleasant and I am appreciating it more than a couple of years ago, I like the combination of Sauvage DNA with sandalwood. Like the entire line, it is a fragrance that attracts many compliments.

The smoothest Sauvage by far. My most complimented fragrance right along with Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy edt. While they might not be hugely innovative, I can't deny that women really like them both. I enjoy them very much myself because I have never been drawn to fresher fragrances. So in the summer I reach for things like this, Bad Boy edt, Ultra Male, 212 VIP Black and Y EDP and Le Parfum both. As you can see I enjoy the sweeter of the fresh fragrances. But if I want to smell refined in the summer I am very limited in my selection. Basically you have this, BDC Parfum and then Acqua Essenzialle Blue. I have yet to try Hamdan the Shiekh, but it is supposed to be very close to this for under a third of the price! I will be making it my very next purchase. But if you want something dense, sophisticated and still fresh enough for Summer wear indoors, then I would go with this one first every time.
