Souffle De Soie

I saw an interview of Nina Dobrev where she mentioned this fragrance a few years ago and ever since I’ve been wanting to get the chance to smell this perfume. 2 maybe 3 years later I got the chance to smell it in Copenhagen and I literally fell in LOOVEEE with it immediately after I sprayed it on my skin and knew I had to have it in my collection. I only use it on special occasions cuz it was expensive and now it’s discontinued. The notes are very well blended, +as others have said it’s definitely a luxurious scent, worth the money. This is definitely a 10/10 for me :)

Souffle De Soie by Christian Dior is pure Parisian beauty! Accordion music, cobble stones, high fashion, and the art history museums of my dreams! Souffle De Soie smells like how luxury perfume should - unbelievably romantic and refined! Très sexy! Fresh rose, sweet tuberose, powdery violets, and a come-hither jasmine on an elemi-patchouli base that adds a resinous-sweetness and a pinch of spice. There is a delicious Vanilla Crème Brûlée vibe that comes from the vanilla and cinnamon in the dry down. I get compliments every time I wear this fragrance! It is gorgeous!

Creamy and velvety tuberose and white roses interspersed with fluffy jasmine. Gets soapier and muskier on the drydown, a touch spicy too. This feels like a creamy bar of pink Dove soap, keeps you feeling clean. Perfect in warm/hot weather, doesn't project above arms length but definitely lingers.

Parisian chic in a bottle! Longevity and projection are very impressive! Perfect combination of white flowers, rose and patchouli! Romantic, luxurious and noble!

First spray is reminding me the Gris Montaigne. Musk and rose are covering all over the juice, easy to love and easy to wear,

Souffle De Soie Dior (Batch : September 2018, 2ml. vial trial, 11928/A formular) SOUFFLE DE SOIE by Dior is one of scent create during "Maison Christian Dior" era. I would personally classified this as lite Floral Chypre instead of floral. I quite like the opening, the scent beginning with soft powdery accord that reminds me of baby powder. But it is the luxe one, the high-end with higher quality ingredients. not so long before the scent reveal its heart. The floral emerge, I don't get straight white floral scent instead. I got combination of something classic powdery rose they use in Gris Dior along with powdery white floral. it kinds of merge into powdery vanilla. It quite hard to distinguish. The root of SOUFFLE DE SOIE, strike so smilier to Gris Dior in way of Patchouli, lite-non earthy cooling one. However because there is powdery note - not an earthy damp moss and rose one, it merge together creating the classic French powdery-floral kind of experience. I personally think SOUFFLE DE SOIE is timeless scent if you have been using perfume for quite a while. Normally as per modern Chypre, we substitute sour-balsamic that strong in Oakmoss with French Labdanum and Patchouli instead, for case of SOUFFLE DE SOIE it use balsamic touch from Elemi which is much milder than Labdanum but I think in this case, it works quite well because it is not strong as Labdanum, not as sour. So in this classic floral powdery rendition. I think this work beautiful. This strike more feminine in my humble opinion. SOUFFLE DE SOIE is solid scent for Floral-Powdery-Chypre user. However, if you own Gris Dior. I feel this is a bit redundant purchase. As scent, I give this 8/10.

Soufflé de Soie is a smooth floral-patchouli scent, nothing groundbreaking, but an elegant, inoffensive feminine scent made with good quality ingredients. I don't get much similarity to Eau des Merveilles - instead, it reminds me more of Coco Mademoiselle, or other sweet florals from the noughties. There is a nice amber accord and a musky drydown, but it is the powdery florals that dominate throughout. While it is nicely composed and easy-to-wear, I don't think it is special enough to justify the price (discontinuation rumours aside). SdS is as smooth as its name suggests, and well-blended throughout. It opens with a hint of tart citrus, followed closely by white florals. Tuberose leads the way, muted and sweet instead of heady and carnal, bolstered by clean, powdery jasmine. I get a nice green/balsamic undertone here thanks to the elemi. Powdery rose rounds out the bouquet, and muskiness blurs the edges. It is muted, but very pleasant. As it develops further, a powdery violet note emerges, distinct from the rest of the florals. I love violet, and appreciate its inclusion here. Patchouli gradually comes to the fore as it dries down, adding a lovely earthiness that complements the florals to perfection. The sweet cinnamon note is unmistakable here too. Nicely dry vanilla adds sweetness at the later stages, and it becomes sweetly musky as it fades. Sillage and longevity are moderate - it is a pretty discreet scent on my skin. An elegant everyday scent, SdS is a great spring/summer work scent. As good as it is though, it is overpriced in my opinion. Decent stuff overall, however. 4/5.

If you miss the traditional elegant feminine French perfumes, Mr. Demachy's Souffle De soie is for you . Smooth and powdery floral bouquet on top of ambery muscy and quasi chypre base, definitely inspired by the vintage perfumes. They do, t make them like this anymore. I, m very grateful to Mr. Demachy for bringing this romantic, traditional French perfume making within his Collection Privee for Dior between 2009 and 2021. They are made with modern materials, finer and thinner, especially after 2018, but have the tradition in their roots. It seems he was one of the last Romantics because Mr. Kurkdjian, s last perfumes for Dior lack exactly these elegant bases and complexity from the traditional French perfumes. The perfume reminds me, not literally, but more like a mood of Dior new look 1947, Hermes Eau des merveilles, and even of a very soft and distant version of Rouge Baccarat 540. Enjoy!

On my skin and to my nose, Souffle de Soie is a very creamy, slightly carnal and sort of sensual musky floral fragrance. There was a slightly greenish milky vibe at the beginning that reminded me of the Tuberose note in Guerlain Joyeuse Tubereuse and the scent of waxy and soft powdery Rose joined in shortly after. While the green tone started to fade, the more carnal and creamy facets of Tuberose began to pick up with hints of Jasmine in the back to create a sensual powdery floral scent. Although not included in the list of notes above, I also detected a somewhat mossy/woody/musky combo in the base. On my cooler than average skin, this fragrance has soft to moderate sillage and quite long lasting.

Pretty and soapy floral. Reminds me of high end hotel soap in all the best ways. The soap note smells like Dove feels (hydrating without being sticky or heavy). Scent is well balanced floral soapy. An office safe crowd pleaser.

Opened with a nice bergamot scent then very swiftly moved on to jasmine and tuberose. Hardly got any rose. Definite Eau des Merveilles vibe here. Lasted well over 24 hrs on clothings.

Like other reviewer, it reminds me of Hermes Eau des Merveilles. Where Eau des Merveilles is more bright and sparkly, Souffle de Soie is more calm & rounded.

The smell of very expensive setting powder. Talc + a lipstick accord (rose, jasmine, violet, iris) with some weight. The final dry-down is an easy-wearing floral laundry detergent musk. I wonder whether Dior intended to turn this into a cosmetic product (face powder, foundation, concealer) - much like they did with Addict and the lip glosses. Smells like it could be a draft for a functional fragrance for luxury cosmetics.

This is nothing like Gris Montaigne (former), nor current Gris Dior. Upon first spray, it is uncannily similar to Hermés Eau Des Merveille, with elemi as main character of the composition, giving it a creamy resinous texture, with a smell reminiscent of pine, along with some subtly minute spicy nuances of cinnamon, and a floral background of (predominantly jasmine) and hints of powdery rose. Will update around the hour of spraying to describe the dry down. UPDATE: The fragrance is very much linear on my skin; longevity is amazing, and I could smell it even after showering. Projection is moderate, with about an hour of arms-length, then becoming an intimate skin scent for the rest of the time. I stand by my opinion that this is about 85-90% similar to Hermés Eau Des Merveilles, with powdery violet and rose, and subtle floral background.

So I am reviewing soufle de soie today This perfume actually reminds me of gris montaigne, make gris montaigne a little bit powdery and classy and that's your soufle de soie.. All I can smell is rose and white florals no tuberose for me at all.. decent performance not like other new diors, silage is decent as well Another great release from Dior, I am loving there new releases

Not sure if i got a sample that has gone bad but this smells terrible on my skin:(. So loud and strong. They categorize this under their Light Florals but i have never smelled something this intense and wrong. Tried to wash it off but it made it worse... I appreciate all orher dior fragrances so it has to be my skin dissagreeing with this.

feminine, floral, well blended and inoffensive creamy tuberose and rose. I dont pick up on the vanilla or cinnamon but i do get some of the spice of the patchouli. I understand the comparison to beauty products. Its not something I would purchase but an interesting one to sample.

Souffle de soie est un bon compagnon pour l'été. Doux musqué et raffiné. Il sent dior! Le sillage est léger mais la tenue est la pour quelques heures. Chic et classique j'aime bien!

its a little heavy on the patchouli for me but if you like patchouli then this is done in a classy way and its sooth rounded and sort of buttery floral...soft rounded patchouli :)

Nylon fruitti rose... I get full throttle nylon note in here covered with bergamot, rose, elemi, and white floral. This is quite synthetic, nothing natural in here..
