The Cachemire

This smells incredibly authentic. I get a honeyed jasmine green tea with lemon. If you’ve tried other Maison Christian Dior fragrances you’ve probably experienced the similarity in many of the scents’ musky tart base. This also has that same tart quality. Very calming and relaxing. Completely inoffensive. I say it for many in the line but it’s true here too- it’d make a very good signature fragrance; which I think is what they’re going for especially regarding recent entries to this line. The projection is way stronger than I had thought it would be for a fresh tea fragrance and I love that about it. Nobody seems to compare this to Creed’s Silver Mountain Water and I know it’s been compared to death to other fragrances but this fragrance has some similarities to that too. It’s a musky tea fragrance with more emphasis put directly on the tea accord than in SMW. There’s lots of differences but they are in the same vein for sure. All in all one of my favorites that I’ve tried from this line. It deserves way more hype in the fragrance community but it’s fine by me if it’s a well kept secret since I’m selfish and want it all for myself!

I know tea fragrances aren't for everyone. But they are for me. I have worn and loved fragrances like Bvlgari Au the Blanc and Au the Bleu, Nishane Wulong Cha, and ET's Green Tea fragrance for years. There are probably some others in there I'm forgetting, but I love tea fragrances. Awhile back, I purchased some fragrances from Dior and they sent me a travel size of The Cachemire. I loved it at the time, but didn't pull the trigger for whatever reason. However, like an old lover, I couldn't stop thinking about it and finally picked up my phone to send a text... Which led to to a purchase on the Dior website! This fragrance is everything it should be - light, refreshing, clean, and perfect for warmer weather, especially, although I could see myself wearing it in the fall. It's comforting, and I love to spray myself with it before I wrap myself in a blanket, or when I'm just puttering around my apartment. I highly recommend this fragrance if you love tea scents, and if you like feeling refreshed :-)

For some reason I associate this smell with vacations my family took as a kid to the islands off of South Carolina. It reminds me of a clean condo with the windows open, wind blowing, and a view of the sandy beach and the smell of the ocean air. I smell the sand, I smell the seashells, I smell the vegetation by the beach entrance, but I also smell the nice soap the condo had. This has to be my most evocative scent that I own, and I own a lot of scents. I had to buy a full bottle as soon as I smelled it. Other than being evocative for me personally, it is a technically brilliant fragrance. It is perfect for either sex for any situation as long as there is warm weather involved. I don’t think smelling this in the fall or winter would be a particularly pleasant or noteworthy experience for most people

This is such an amazing and well-blended scent. The rose in here somehow smells like a fruit, but isn't too sweet or jammy. White tea and mate are blended nicely, and the musk gives it some depth and keeps it from being too green, but the musk isn't overpowering and isn't center stage. I think this light scent is unisex, truly unisex. And I call it light in the most complimentary way possible. Projection and sillage are great... I expected it to not perform as well as it did. was surprised that I could still smell this scent on my skin after 8 hour at work! It really is a beautiful scent. I haven't smelled anything like it. A favorite among the newly christened Maison Dior Collection.

Washed and dried linen, hanging in the breeze on a sunny day. It smells like the cool side of the pillow feels. Immediately bright, incredibly fresh, invigorating. A nuanced "green" scent of tea and white florals, balanced with clean musk and a subtle hint of smoke. Once it starts to dry down a bit, it has that almost-sweet grassy aroma you get from a freshly brewed cup of yerba mate (something light like Liebig Original). Another work of art by Demachy, this one unassuming at first, but like a painting with a foreground, subject and background, it invites you to take a closer look. It leans more female-unisex and is a situational wear, but a certain 10/10 nevertheless.

So happy I have this scent in my collection! This is exactly what I want this tea fragrance to be, and has amazing performance given the notes. So balanced and wears beautifully throughout the day. The base of mate and orris really shine through on me and have me smelling my wrist all day for a "hit" of that tea/alfalfa scent. I can also smell the rose adding just a bit of freshness to pick things up! THIS is the one that made me confident in my love of tea scents. Very niche and I would recommend to anyone wanting a unique freshie that can find its place in any season

I received a tester of this when I visited a Dior store in Paris in 2017. I loved it from the second I smelled it. The white tea and mate are most prominent on my skin, and the scent is absolutely divine, like a soft and comforting tea scent. It is not harsh or strong at all. I can see both men and women wearing this. Overall, I think this scent is pure perfection. I wish I bought it while I could but the price tag kept me away. I will buy it the next time I see it; it is too perfect not to be in my collection!

I am changing my review style to only review Fragrances I've had full wears of for multiple days, this fragrance is very fresh when you first smell it, dominant notes being tea, florals, Citrus and mate. On my first day of wearing the blackcurrant and rose were seemingly non existent, but the strangest thing happens when it sits on your skin, and you nose gets used the the bitterness of the mate, the blackcurrant is the last thing to leave your skin, juicy and sweet! 10/10 fragrance

Lovely tea scent, light, airy, soft and simple. I find it quite hard to describe this, sort of tea (but not so green) blend with citrus. If you are hoping for a complex fragrance, this isn't one. But for me this is excellence, especially considering that i got it for a discount. An easy everyday scent.

This is a blind buy because I heard that it’s going to be discontinued. It smells like green tea, lemon and honey. Definitely don’t overspray. This can last all day indoors. Recommend if you like citrusy tea fragrances. I love it so much that I’m considering to buy another bottle.

This is one of the best of those few powdery scents I've tried so far. It is so enjoyable, goes deep with the sweet powder :) Or it has something added to it that makes it so good. I don't smell any citrus at all while I can smell other (or at least some) citric scents.

This is what spring going into summer should smell. For me the white tea is taking over the whole perfume and as well what is salarying on my skin. Is it fresh and clean and last quite long for the whole day. It reminds me slightly of the cheaper Te bianco of Erbolario.

The most nuclear freshie I've ever found, except 724 by MFK which is on a par. This is a lovely scent. Honeyed flowers and tea create a warm aura. Despite the summery notes, I find it's too much in summer, and works better in autumn and winter. Don't overspray!

Overbrewed tea and dark red roses. It's very unisex and almost seems like the unisex counterpart to Sakura (where I also get green tea and roses among other notes). This is sophisticated, comforting, simple, and natural.

I smelled Dior's Thé Cachemire at Neiman's the other day. I found it fresh & delightful. I lost the sprayed card on the way home though. Another I was surprised to like was Dior New Look.

Simply beautiful. Citrusy without being harsh, tea-like, of course, and soft and gentle. I absolutely love this scent and am so glad to have it in my collection 💚✨✨

I got this one since 2017. Love at first sniff. I guess it's White tea. Fresh and smooth very easy to wear.

Wulong Cha but better/more delicate. But they all smelll like Elizabeth Arden Green Tea imo

It's probably not a brand association Dior would have been hoping for, but every time I wear this I think of that OutKast tune from 20 years ago (jeez, that long already?): "Ain't nobody dope as me, I'm dressed so fresh, so clean...". That's the effect this one conjures. Perfectly crisp, way classy, sexy without being obvious, and clean, clean, clean, without being soapy, astringent, cliched or in any way downmarket. BUT. Is it all the way upmarket either? As much as you'd expect for Dior special collection prices? Hmmm. Maybe not all the way there either. Seems a touch femme to me, but that may be down to there being fractionally more rose, musk and orris in here than in the tea fragrances I love best. Could certainly work for very secure men who just want to smell great (and smell so fresh and so clean, of course.) The white tea and mate notes are definitely centre stage, but I thirsted (ha!) for them to be bolder, even more herbal, maybe weirder and less conciliatory. To me the tea presence here is a mild, small cup of recently-brewed, very transparent green or white tea, so reading about it being 'pure black tea' or 'over-brewed' here baffles me, I only WISH it were that strong. Nothing takes away from the impeccable freshness and poise of The Cachemire ... but you wouldn't necessarily pick it out of a lineup of various tea scents, if you were sniffing blind, as 'obviously the highest quality product of them all'. It's very very good - that it reminds me most of all of Ormonde Jayne's stunningly calming Qi is a clue to just HOW good - but I wonder whether, if you just want to smell "so fresh and so clean" in this genre, you might get more bang per buck and a nearly-as-impressive aura in something cheaper from the Bvlgari tea line, or maybe even something even cheaper yet from Elizabeth Arden. However, if you love Dior, or love tea, or love to smell all put together and as if you've just bounced out of a beautiful shower ALL DAY, then the Cachemire should be automatic. Performance is surprisingly robust for a tea-themed scent - they're often tragically fragile, whereas this keeps pumping out freshness for up to 5-6h on me. One to make you dust off your shoulders, straighten your backbone and meet the world with a bright and optimistic attitude. Maybe not the most original or the most wham-bam-big-impact, but this is unmistakably the smell of a whole new day!

The Cachemire is a very whimsical and Nostalgic scent, almost Fantasia to me. While Cachemire should smell like something very leathery. This is more like a Wool sweater to my nose. A wool sweater that is properly clean and kept in a cabinet waiting for the new winter. To become alive again. While Tea and Citrus are very prominent as a sort of drink. There is fluffy fabric accord ley underneath to prevent it from becoming a gourmand fragrance. As the scent develops, you still scent the Tea / Citrus but it merges into the Wool fabric accord. And provide a clean sweet, mildly green scent to linger with you all the way you wear it. I would say, it will not make a cut for winter because this is quite soft. but it does remind me of the scent of fresh winter garments somehow. Longevity is around 6 hours - 7 hours mark with Moderate to Soft protection. It seems this fragrance provides the experience more than the one that properly wears for any occasion. Despite its expensive labels, this is good for experience fragrance. 9/10 for me.

Very green and citrusy opening, distinctive bergamot and a hint of bitterness, like orange and lemon peels. A hint of tea leaves is slowly developing, which you notice a few seconds following the first sprays. Didn’t pick much of the black current, certainly well blended with all the white florals. The musk and ambery-woody notes are playing in the back. The smoky tea leaves smell very organic and real all the way, however the hedione and watery rose notes can come off as too powdery if you spray too much. I don’t think that many white florals were necessary here, I still wanted this to be fresher — could’ve been really unisex then, it leans a hint feminine overall. The honeysuckle and the woodiness are distinctive once all the top notes are gone, leaving to a “cashmeran tea” indeed... Dry-down is spa-like, also reminds me of Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche, except a little bit creamier and musky here. _____ Projection, sillage, longevity : 9/10 Originality, presentation : 7.5/10 Quality, value : 8/10 8/10

Got this as a freebie miniature when I bought feve delecious (which i adore btw) i find this bright, fresh, floral, summery. The overall feel of the scent is more on the floral side rather than the citruses. I don’t get any of the dry down?? I find the scent linear and doesn’t evolve that much. I imagine a summer day in a garden surrounded by flowers while drinking my morning tea overlooking the country side, breezy sunshine, quiet and peaceful, a very relaxing feeling. Overall i like it, but not a must buy for me. Also it says unisex, but leans towards feminine side. Longevity about 6 hours on my skin Projection mild projection it doesn’t scream Uniqueness, I would say not quite, but definitely natural smelling scent. Price? This is difficult. Good news is you get a 250 ml for 300 u s d not bad at all imo.

I wanted to love this. I almost blind bought a bottle. It white tea and more of a fragrant floral tea. I get a very outside spring day in a garden sipping a cup of tea while reading a book. The wind is blowing some florals your way while you catch the scent of your white tea. I dont get a green vibe from it. More like a white floral tea, maybe one of those teas that has a flower that opens in your cup. Sure you are in the garden, but it isnt a lush garden with freshly mowed grass. I find it a little more masculine leaning and could definitely be an every day fragrance. Unobtrusive. Completely business professional, clean, and elegant. I do like this, but I dont love it enough to buy a full bottle. ETA: it does cool down quite a bit turning into a refreshing tea. A good everyday casual fragrance.

A very elegant fragrance, I think it's completely feminine. Strict, pure, for true ladies! I detect a distinctly bitter aroma of expensive white tea, a cashmere sweater, and also the scent of a bookstore with new books... The scent is expensive, restrained, a bit monotonous, but truly high-quality. I associate it with an English noble lady, and I even thought that Mary Poppins might wear this scent :-) Not a drop of sweetness or playfulness; it doesn't relax, but on the contrary, helps you collect your thoughts. I'm not sure I'd buy a whole bottle for that kind of money (I have a sample), but in any case, I'll remember this scent; it has character. I really like the quality of Dior perfumes, and this one is also top-notch!

This scent will make you feel like you are drinking a cool glass of honey lemon tea in the summer. Yes! Honey Lemon Tea Scent! This scent is quite a pleasant, and versatile scent, it also gives a luxurious yet light feel, you can use it as an everyday scent because of its pleasantness However, in terms of performance when considering both scent retention and projection, it is only average, and if you have a long day, you will probably need to reapply about 2-3 times. its weak point is probably the price but it is dior what do you expect in terms of reasonable price when it comes from dior? So...Overall it's gonna be worth 7.0/10 from me.

Juicy floral & citrus tea! 🍵 Opening is a fresh blast of citrus and white tea leaves, refreshing and smooth and as it begins to dry down we get more of the florals pushing through, then a juicy blackcurrant note comes through. The overall scent reminds me of Wulong cha by nishane, but this is more refined and smooth, the musk and orris giving this that smoothness in the base. Perfect for a summer day, I can imagine a girl in a sundress and straw hat wearing this in a tea leaf field, although this is completely unisex. The longevity is around 5-6 hours for me and the projection is quite intimate. 7.5/10

I like this! It smells EXACTLY like the lobby of the building my therapist’s office is in. It’s a nice building and I enjoy the lobby! I definitely wouldn’t mind smelling like this, but there’s definitely a “mood” and a “vibe” for this fragrance and if I had to give it a name it would be something like “luxurious zen”. It can be a safe office fragrance if that’s your thing! That said, it’s not something I that would wear outdoors in the summer time if it was scorching outside. Overall, it’s not a remarkable fragrance, but it’s also not completely unremarkable either. I suggest trying before buying.

A comforting tea fragrance with a soft, enveloping warmth, really like a cashmere scarf draped over bare skin! The tea note is smooth, citrus-tinge and airy, with an understated elegance that makes it easy to love. There’s a mild woody-ambery undertone that gives it a gentle coziness, yet it quite pleasantly never veers too deep or heavy. Still, while undeniably pleasant, it leans toward the familiar—a dumb reach, but perhaps not too distinctive or different. I can't deny though, The Cachemire is truly refined yet effortless, blending seamlessly but soothingly into the background of your everyday.

I’m a big fan of fragrances with a tea note, especially to wear during the warmer months. This one is different from many of the ones in my collection. It’s not as fresh as Green Tea, au Thé Vert, or Thé Yulong because of the subtle sweetness of the floral notes. Like another reviewer wrote, it’s more like green tea with honey and lemon. Fortunately, the florals aren’t prominent. I wanted this to be mostly a tea scent, which it is. I think I could even wear this in the cooler months of fall and early spring. I’m happy to have it in my collection.

Dior Cachemire smells like a cashmere sweater on me (I swear I can smell wool in the notes...interesting!) at the same time infiltrating with pleasant white tea and musk scent. I can’t smell any citrus notes though. To me, the “sweater” elements are more dominant than the tea elements in the middle notes, but then the latter prevail the former in the base notes. I think it’s suitable to wear this fragrance for all seasons. Longevity and sillage are good. I’ve tried it at store, and I love it, may get it soon.

This is a fresh citrus tea fragrance. I'd say the tea note is quite basic and not very spa-like, compared to other green tea fragrances out there. The lemon is definitely the most prominent note here. Occasionally I get a hint of incense coming from the smoke note, but I don't feel it elevates the scent much or makes this fragrance more sophisticated. Overall, it's nice and refreshing, but it definitely does not justify the enormous price tag, especially since there are much better tea fragrances out there.

I think the scent rarely offends someone, so it’s a safe choice. Not unique but just comforting. Feminine-leaning unisex. I personally don’t really like sweetened tea ; I regret a little bit the useless sweetness, and would have liked to enjoy the pure scent of tea. Nevertheless, it's a very nice and pleasant perfume. It seems this fragrance reminds someone of Eau parfumée au thé blanc de Bvlgari, but this one is much more natural and appealing. If it were less expensive, I might have bought a bottle.

Oh Dior - how I wanted to love thee. This is a spa like freshie scent that is lovely but you're paying for the Dior name. The Valentino Green Stravanganza is just as lovely and way cheaper! I only have myself to blame for spending over $400 on this. Yes, it's a great freshie, cozy tea scent but there are so many that can take the place of this. It is a great every day scent and I will use up every last drop as it cost a fortune.

Extremely green opening and mid. Drydown reveals a really nice smelling, rich, and very realistic mate/tea. I don't get any association with a sweater but it's pretty nice juice. I think this could be used in just about any situation except formal. It doesn't feel formal but more casual and carefree. Not fbw for me but if you like strong greens followed by tea, then look no further.

A basic and inoffensive citrusy tea rounded out by light watery florals. I know price is subjective, but compared to similar scents within this genre $250 is nearly criminal. I really feel Dior should put these lighter scents (which they have a ton of now) in their own sub-range at a cheaper price, because they’re extremely simple and don’t have much staying power.

This is about 95% identical to The Yulong by Armani (which I adore), but somehow has even less projection and lasting power. The difference is that The Yulong is a tea with bitter orange, and this one is more lemony. Really pretty tea fragrance that is delightfully powdery too.

Tried this on myself and my friend. Lemon on the first spritz, fading into rose soap and drying down to a rosy-floral shampoo. Spices and a faint muskiness were detectable, but soap and shampoo were the primary scents by far. I liked it, but it is unapologetically soapy.

A simple yet interesting take on tea. If all you want is a fresh, easy, versatile tea fragrance with hints of rose, a twist on the Grojsman accord, and a nice floral-citrusy glow, this is a good option. It's nothing niche or groundbreaking, but it's nice and likeable.

I love Demachy, as he created most of my absolute favourites. But it's clear as day that in 2018 LVMH forced him to create a bunch of light floral, easy-to-digest fragrances for the Privée line, that diluted his legacy. It certainly helps with sales, but most of those lack the creative depth that he was able to create. Lucky and Jasmin des Anges (one that I really like actually) are clearly the most successful of that release cycle. A lot got discontinued since, while some — like Sakura and Thé Cachemire — are still around, with moderate success. I mention them together, because while they have different scent profiles, they somehow feel like the closest twins. They are both very light, very clean, and very soapy scents. One is a floral soap, the other is a green soap. So if you like one, I'm sure you'll 100% love the other too. And for anyone who is into clean soapy scents, both are amazing. Neither of them projects well or lasts very long. Very office safe, inoffensive.

Dior Thé Cachemire – Review (6/10) This scent opens with a crisp, clean green brightness — almost like fresh laundry blowing in a breeze or rain evaporating from green leaves. There's a fizzy, slightly citrus sparkle that feels airy and refreshing, but never sharp. As it settles, a creamy blend of white florals and soft tea notes starts to take over — imagine sitting outside on a cool day with a warm cup of herbal white tea, surrounded by just-rained-on rose petals. It’s serene, slightly tart, and still faintly green, but smoothed by the creamy florals. In the drydown, it becomes something entirely cozy — the sharp green edge fades, leaving behind a soft, fuzzy warmth. You get a touch of powder, some clean musk, dry leafy mate, and a gentle creaminess from orris. There’s also a whisper of smoke, like incense in the distance, adding just enough depth without turning it moody. It ends as a warm, clean, your-skin-but-better scent.

A crisp, light, clear tea with lots of citrus. Very simple and an elegant freshie. Unfortunately, not the type of tea for me - this is a little too dry and sharp, but I can see how people would appreciate this. Compared with: Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea - surprisingly similar, actually, but EA's Green Tea is sharper and more piercing. They both seem to be giving me headaches though. As someone said below, maybe it's the hedione. Petit Matin - not similar at all imo, Petit Matin is more a salty-musky ambroxan-citrus while The Cachemire is a slightly astringent citrus tea.

My first thought was that this smells like real green tea with lemon. In fact, this is the only tea fragrance that actually smells like tea. This isn’t fresh brewed green tea at home. This is bottled/canned green tea like Arizona or Lipton. I haven’t really given this a full wear, but so far it smells great. I just wish I was smelling more floral and less citrus. Something about this reminds me of a Bond No 9 Hamptons.

Really simple but nice opening, quite musky to me. Smells clean, soft, and airy. HOWEVER it gives me quite the headache, it might be the hedione in this..

This whole line got some bad reviews when 1st released and I see why. This is a very simple fresh green tea frag with some florals. Very clean and safe to wear. But for the price I will stick to Bvlgari PH. Trust me,there is no smoke at all.

There’s tea, there are white florals, but it’s nothing like jasmine tea. The jasmine among the white florals is only faint, and overall it comes across more like a tissue-like white floral scent. Plus, it has a soapy note.

Fresh green tea. The variety with a slightly sour, botanical ring to it. Very raw essence—but somewhat meditative possibly. Certainly there is the illusion of a smokey element. It also comes off musky. Spray too much on and you're going to regret it! It is a light fragrance at heart, but the smokey-musk element gets insanely overbearing when this is over-applied. It gains an almost ammonia like effect to it—brute. The oversoul of this fragrance strongly reminds me of The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea (without the citrus notes). That being said—I certainly don't get too much more out of it than that. A very promising list of notes—but they're not present here in any obvious fashion. Far too simple for the Maison price point (which could be said about every one I've tried from this line thus far). Possibly the full collection of notes is available in a private formula to the wealthy. Hence the context of the word 'Prive'—which originally designated this brand. It is such a fraud—and terribly feel-bad to think that the fame of Dior in fragrance all began with Siuezac creating Fahrenheit for them as like a charity piece. Only for the company to seemingly become this fascist aristocrat, who obsessively hoards all their talents and artistic work in sheer greed and chauvinism. What is—like such an unspeakable Frankenstein monster. And to have created such a monster—what a terrible burden for such a pious man to endure.

Unisex and feminine leaning, but I think males can still wear this one for sure. It’s clean but layered with amazing facets that do surprise me when wearing it, not at all what I expected actually but it’s still so comforting and pleasant. I actually get a link to Nishane Wulong Cha which appears others have also noticed, must be the prominent white tea and mate notes which makes sense. I absolutely love tea notes and this is a more layered and sensual composition overall. Prominent citrus layered with the tea notes to my nose, some greenness from the petitgrain adding a clean airy greenness off the top with the tea and citrus, and an array of lush and perfectly utilized floral notes that only bolster the clean qualities while adding such impressive depth. This truly accomplishes being fresh yet sensual in a unique way..a fresh cozy musky tea scent that throws some different facets at you during wear..truly just a pleasure to wear and enjoy. Edit: got to add it was also just amazing drifting off to sleep getting whiffs of The Cachemire off my arm, so lovely and clean, truly comforting.

I dont own this yet, but i would like to get it eventually, i have an official sample of it i got from ebay to me it reminds me of the the green tea drink from the Arizona tea brand a lot, it smells a lot like that drink, but better and more in a perfume way rather then a drink if that makes sense i have also tried silver mountain water, but imo you have to really try and pick out the tea note but once you familiar with it, you wont struggle to notice it anymore i have found, so as far as a pure tea scent i would pick the cachemire if you are just seeking a strong tea note, although silver mountain water is amazing as well imo. the only other tea scent i have tried is elizabeth ardens green tea, and while that was good too it is not something i would wear and it was not as good as this one or as natural smelling as this one this is one my favorite fresh smelling scents if you love the scent of tea and also citrus, then i think you would enjoy this a lot and for whats its worth i dont get most of the notes here besides the tea and citrus and a slight musk if that matters to you
