So... Considering some reviews under me, there's some truth to this being a lot of things while maybe NOT being truly vanillic, though I disagree somewhat.... If Babycat can be called a "vanilla"fragrance, so can this... If Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille is a vanilla fragrance, this DEFINITELY is (I feel that one is even less so that this Dior)... Spiritueuse it is not... There are more TRUE vanillas to be sure but I think it's totally subjective... Case in point: Babycat.... I had smelled Vanilla Diorama and Babycat around the same time and decided I wouldn't buy both as they are too much in the same wheelhouse (and I need another perfume like I need a hole in my skull) so I bought decants of both and gave them MULTIPLE full wearings and... To be honest, Babycat was originally my pick.. (and it still has a better opening!)... but after about three wears of each one it became clear that the DRYDOWN was a huge let-down with the YSL... that vanilla is pretty awful at the end.... It smells worse than a Yankee candle cheap vanilla... Up top it's heaven and the suede/leather is phenomenal... But the Dior actually gets better and better and... Even though the vanilla is the Viola in this orchestra, it still smells WAY better than the vanilla drydown in Babycat... And the cardamom... The resins... The whole experience down to the bitter (and sweet!) end is SO MUCH better in Vanilla Diorama... To be very honest I think it is even better than Fève Delicieuse (that is simply too much sugar).... And not that I care THAT much but the performance on this is excellent as well... So... If you're hoping for a pure vanilla experience (which is understandable given the name!) I think you could be underwhelmed and possibly even disappointed but... As a vanillic fragrance with spices and resins etc I really think it's gorgeous... Give it a try but DON'T blind buy (it's being discontinued and prices are already starting to soar)... Hope you enjoy it as much as I do... It's a 4.5/5 for me.

Such a unique and well blended Vanilla Fragrance, can't say I've smelt any Vanilla fragrance nearly as good as this or similar at all in its scent profile, this stuff is seriously addicting, this at its core (on my skin at least) is a Vanilla-Cacao-Rum fragrance that is both sweet, refined, addicting, and Inviting. It opens up with quite a sweet opening of nice citruses and a spiced tang to it in the backbone, but within minutes the true DNA of the scent starts to come out, and the sensual Rum-Vanilla-Cacao trio comes into play, it's quite hard to describe the scent profile in general since it's so unique in its own right, the Rum isn't too strong but the booziness adds a welcoming and sophisticated aura, the Cacao doesn't smell edible like chocolate but it's sweet and gourmand enough to smell very inviting, and the Vanilla its sweet but also pretty laid back, it almost smells lightly bitter when combined with the other 3 notes. I also got a compliment from a lady not even an hour after first wearing this fragrance, and as seems to be the case with reviews I've seen, women seem to like this scent profile more, but I think everyone could enjoy this scent, its sexy, sophisticated, and welcoming. On my skin I get medium-slightly strong projection and it lasts upwards of 8 hours on my skin, good for winter and spring, but it's honestly so good I might wear it even in summer if I'm indoors. Final Verdict is a definitive 9.0/10 for me, such a beautiful fragrance that excels for mass appeal and from an artistic perspective too

I absolutely adore this fragrance, and reading other's reviews makes me think it's dependent on having good compatibility with your skin chemistry. Also, I think that the opening can be off putting: the bitter lemon and pink pepper come off a little harsh for me within the first 20-30 minutes before the magic starts to happen. After that, I don't get any coca-cola smell at all, or really much spice. What I do get is a deep, gorgeous boozy vanilla, with just a touch of sweetness around the edges from the citruses and patchouli. It is incredibly well blended: I have a hard time picking out individual notes. If you're looking for a sweet, creamy vanilla cupcake (admittedly, the name can set some misleading expectations), this isn't for you. What this is is refined, mature, and elegant, but also cozy and comfortable. It is incredibly versatile as well: for daily wear it definitely suits the cold weather best, but the citruses keep it light enough to wear quite nicely for a summer date night as well. I'd say it definitely leans masculine as well. Projects for about 7-8 hours for me, skin scent for another 3-4 before only the vanilla base is left behind. This fragrance is a masterpiece in my eyes, but I can also see that it's not for everyone. Overall: 10/10, But absolutely NOT blind buy safe. Definitely need to spray it on skin and wear it for a day before dropping the cash on it.

This is has to be one of my favorite vanilla fragrances by far right now, cause once you smell this fragrance you can never see any good vanilla fragrances the same This is the type of fragrance that creates swirls, the type of fragrance that make you float like those cartoons characters when they smell the scent of food This is like Christmas in a bottle and I mean it, it has like a peppermint feel to it that swirls to your nose from the pink pepper note it smells like a Christmas party and I'm here for it I don't give a shit if you see this review and be like "this guy is glazing tf outta this fragrance" I'd rather glaze this fragrance then glaze jazz Club from the replica line cause that fragrance is lowk buns Anyways what I'm trying to say is that you should get this fragrance cause it smells like santa is finna tell you a secret I give this fragrance a 12/10

I am not a fan of sweet fragrances. I don’t know why, but smelling like food just never appealed to me. When I saw “Vanilla Diorama”, I just assumed it would be another overlysweetbakerycupcakepowderedsugar generic scent and I was prepared for the worst. Lol. I was so wrong! The vanilla here is not syrupy sweet or prominent. Doesn’t make me think of morning line in Starbucks. On me, it opens with light citrus note that stays for little bit, but as this fades away, I get a beautiful blend of vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood and definitely some amber on me. The rum is not as prominent as in Feve Delicieuse or Spice blend. It is sophisticated, classic, warm and cozy fall/winter fragrance that lasts surprisingly long. I love to mix it with Ambre Nuit and always get compliments on it. Definitely unisex.

Just tested this fragrance and it is stunning! It’s a boozy vanilla perfect for cooler weather. It is warm and cozy, mixed with sexy and mysterious! I wouldn’t say it’s a super unique profile, but still oh so good! The sandalwood and patch in the base give it a smidge of a leathery feel mixed with the spice of the cardamom. It isn’t your typical vanilla and definitely not a cupcake-y sweet gourmand. It is very smooth and sophisticated. Definitely unisex, and will smell amazing on anyone! I think it will mature to get even better. Anything vanilla gets even better and smoother as it ages. I’m not one that does a lot of layering, however , I do think this is a scent that would layer beautifully! This is a beauty and one I actually think is worth the price!

Just picked this up after testing in store. Man, this is a 10/10—warm spicy, smooth vanilla. At first, I thought it was less vanilla, but after pretty quickly as it dries down it really starts to show. Lasts all day on skin, multiple days on clothes. After a couple of hours, the spice starts to settle down, and the vanilla is on full display. Almost reminds me of SDV by Guerlain. Almost as pricy too. I don't get the Coca-Cola smell some people say. Its not like Tonka Cola. As far as it being discontinued, I'm not sure. I'm in the Midwest, as far as I can tell, it's not going anywhere soon. Truly a very beautiful fall/winter/night scent. Not blind buy safe for the price. It can be difficult to find discounts or find samples so go test before committing.

Wow! This fragrance is a master class in how to use booze notes and not overwhelm the DNA. The very first thing you get is orange and pepper with rum, but it’s not astringent or sharp. It’s mellow and smooth. Then the cacao and bourbon vanilla kick in with the patchouli just sitting subtly in the background. This is so well blended it’s actually stunning. I normally hate patchouli, but this so nuanced it’s not an incense smell, it just gives it a little something extra. I’m extremely picky when it comes to fragrances and I’m almost exclusively a gourmand girl. This sits just on the border of gourmand and just may be in my top 10 all time favorites. I would say this is not a safe blind buy, but I’m sure glad I took a chance on it!

Absolutely beautiful fragrance. Based off the name I was expecting another semi generic mass-market vanilla fragrance; Vanilla Diorama could not be further from that. The vanilla, rum, and spice notes combine to create something truly unique. The DNA is similar to Tom Ford Noir Extreme (a vanilla base supported by cardamom and sandalwood), but the rum note gives it a life of its own. The scent, however, is similar enough that it makes Noir Extreme entirely redundant (I have 90+ ml of Noir Extreme which I have not touched since acquiring this). Combined with the incredible longevity (1 spray on me will last almost a full 24 hours) and silage, the price point - the only real negative - becomes justifiable.

Absolutely delicious. Beautiful, alluring, creamy, sweet, boozy, cozy, warm, inviting, pleasant gourmand. It smells so good. This makes my mouth water and my eye roll back. I'd bite a woman if I smell her wearing this one. It is sexy and addictive. Unisex. Not versatile, a cold weather only fragrance. Perfect for date night and when getting intimate and cozy. It is attention grabbing and will definitely turn heads. It sticks out from the crowd. A girl told me that it smells really good and she had to breathe it in deeply as if she was snorting a long line of cocaine. Just yummy. A masterpiece. I love it.

I CRAVE this magical, decadent, luxurious fragrance, which is as close to a holy grail vanilla as I’ve found yet. I find myself fantasising daily about the next time I’ll get to wear Vanilla Diorama. (Until I have oh, say, 20 backup bottles, I’ll be saving this drool-worthy fragrance for special days.) As a lifelong devotee of Youth Dew, and a new fan of Mon Guerlain Intense, this is exactly the warm & spicy dream vanilla I’ve been longing for. Boozy vanilla simmering with zesty citrus, evocative spices, a curl of dark chocolate, and creamy flourishes. Argh, now I have to go and sniff my bottle again...

I'm in love with this fragrance, heaven in a bottle. Sad I only have a little left in my 7.5ml, wish it was cheaper to buy at retail. This is delicious creamy vanilla with rum and cacao notes, absolutely gorgeous, if you're not afraid of smelling delicious then this is a MUST HAVE!! This one is worth it's price and more, but please don't tell dior 😭 I wake up the next day and anything that had contact with this smells like delicious vanilla, do not wear it if you spent all your money on fragrances and forgot to do a food shop, because you will make yourself ravenously hungry 😂 STUNNING FRAGRANCE!!!

I get mostly rum and dark, earthy chocolate, with vanilla in the background. It is boozy and intoxicating, like a glass of rum on a VIP party. I don't know why a bit more people thinks it leans feminine, but this is undeniably masculine to me due to the boozy chocolate notes. I also like that the chocolate here is nothing candy-like or cheap. It's even got a bit of a challenging earthiness to it, which makes this fragrance really interesting. It rightfully belongs to the niche category.

So far I’ve received 3 compliments wearing Vanilla Diorama. One from a very picky 8 year old, “You smell like cupcakes”. I can’t argue with that. Borders on gourmand but just enough kick from citrus & rum to keep it out of the “too sweet” category. Cacao lends a bitter powder. More femme leaning to me. 2-3 hours of modest silage. 8-10 closer to skin. I like it a lot. Sample before committing to a full bottle. So many similar options. But this one is nice & draws compliments

The best Vanilla forward fragrance I've ever owned. It's so smooth and addicting, I wore it to a work party and just constant compliments and people asking what fragrance I was wearing. Definitely unisex, I feel it sits perfectly in the middle, it's not more feminine or more masculine leaning, but directly in the middle. The fragrance lasted an impressive 10-12hrs on skin and had a nice scent bubble.. I have yet to find a flaw with this fragrance.. It's great!

After 3 times of sampling, I've come to the conclusion that I halfway love this scent. Vanilla deepened by the boozy rum and creamy sandal wood in the drydown. I don't love the spicy opening but the drydown is so damn delicious, I can forgive it. Lasts plenty of time with moderate sillage. Gonna get a decant and see if I like it enough to get a full bottle. EDIT: Not only did I get a full bottle but 250ml one lmao. This has become my favorite scent of winter.

Of all the vanilla fragrances I have smelt, this has gotta be the best, on par with double vanille spiritueuse fby Guerlain. This is just such a beautiful vanilla, with added citruses, some spicyness, rum, and a patchouli vanilla drydown which makes it a bit more masculine, as this could be considered more feminine leaning. Overall, its a 10, but ill give my ratings of the scent, longevity and projection below: Scent - 10/10 Longevity - 8/10 projection - 8/10

Boozy, vanilla, gourmand icecream but with an almost leather twist. I absolutely love it. It reminds me of Mancera Tonka Cola. Which i also love but this feels way more natural and almost has a vanilla icecream or cake aspect to it. Smells highly edible although i don't recommend you spray it in your mouth. Such a luxury fragrance... Might even have to buy a new one when i run out or use my tonka cola. absolute 10/10 although the price pr./ml is very steep.

This is an amazing fragrance, very well balanced and stunning!!! The cognac and cinnamon are very prominent on myself, which makes it perfect for fall and winter. Unfortunately it doesn't last long (around 5 hours) and it projects very little, I have to spray a lot so that people around me can smell it. Pretty disappointing, considering the price tag; if you're not concerned about money then it's definitely worth having it in your collection 💛

A gorgeous vanilla carried along by the gentle sweetness of patchouli. It’s not particularly boozy or gourmand, despite what the notes might suggest, though there’s a cacao accord that gives a faint “Coca-Cola” vibe similar to Roja’s Enigma, but a touch more subtle. A softness rounds everything out nicely, sitting fairly close to skin, yet up close it’s irresistibly seductive, beautifully genderless, and impressively long-lasting.

Absolutely lovely fragrance that started my fragrance obsession. I love the opening, you can really smell the boozy orange and it actually stays on clothes forever with the top notes, while it settles to a much more gourmandy vanilla scent on skin, kinda like a very expensive pastry. While I understand why it would be classified as Autumn/Winter scent, in my opinion the drydown is just fine in summer, especially for cozy nights.

This is a meh fragrance as far as I am concerned. I would much rather dior kept feve delicieuse than replaced it with this one. I hope dior comes up with a more interesting vanilla in 2026. Update: this is growing on me somehow and I am grabbing a large bottle. Another edit: this is nice but just not for me. Something in it doesn’t sit right with me. I keep going back and forth on it. This fragrance Vanilla Diorama is literally a MASTERPIECE of a woody spicy vanilla it’s so good you get lots of rum the orange and the vanilla bourbon it’s delicious but very sensual this is a special occasion scent for me during the colder months it’s awesome I truly love this and it’s worth the price! The longevity and projection are good for me 🔥🔥

Vanilla diorama... such a beautiful scent! The opening you get a blast of vanilla and citruses! Then the dry down is a boozy vanilla with hints of patchouli and sandalwood. It's a like but not a love. I do quite enjoy the opening, with its injection of orange, but the drydown is where the spices kick in, so I'm not a huge fan. This is gourmand to me, but a perfumey gourmand. It is definitely high quality (lasts a long time) and smells luxurious, but I absolutely do not think this is worth the price.

This could easily be my signature scent. Agree with previous reviews if you are looking for a juvenile gourmand vanilla fragrance this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a mature classic Amber Vanilla fragrance then you will not be disappointed . In my opinion the best fragrance out of the entire Dior Privé line

Testing my sample; reminiscent of sweet and boozy Christmas oranges infused with sweet touches of vanilla cream and milk chocolate. Very gourmand, projects intensely. Definitely first cousins to Fève Délicieuse, but the spices in that one, while sweet, stand out more than this. I'd consider a full bottle for this.

I was so torn between buying Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille and this and I went for SDV but all I could think of was this afterwards. It’s absolutely gorgeous and it’s on my want list for sure. It was on my skin for 9+ hours easily. Warm vanilla scent. Would highly recommend

Warm Vanilla, rum, cardamom, and a bit of citrus. This has a warmth to it that i really like. Lasts for over 20 hours on my skin. This is without a doubt my favorite gourmand of all time and my signature scent. Try it out if you like gourmands, it wont dissapoint.

This is a moderate projector but lasts 24 HOURS on my skin. Smell is pretty vanilla forward with a touch of added spices and smoothness. So far this is my number 1 best vanilla. I really enjoy this and would totally get a full bottle if it was easier to pick up.

My favourite vanilla fragrance. The vanilla in this isn't overbearing and syrupy, instead it sits quietly, you know it's there but it doesn't need to shout. The vanilla, cacao and rum are blended perfectly. Doesn't lean too gourmand so it's the perfect gourmand.

This is the spicy vanilla of my dreams! Smells like incense, and an elevated hippie shop smell. It's a syrupy and creamy vanilla, like a bowl of ice-cream - with added booziness. Every note in the breakdown is detectable and blended so perfectly. Wow.

Devastated that this is being discontinued. It is a boozy vanilla that brings me great comfort and warmth during colder days. Hopefully Dior changes their mind and keeps this gorgeous fragrance in their La Collection Privée!

wore ts (this scent) tonight, and i absolutely adore it. starts off as a cola smell, but drys down to more of a cinnamon/vanilla mix, which i love so much. great quality as well, which i love. amazing for the winter. 9.5/10

I finally got my hands on Vanilla Diorama after years of hesitation!!! I’m completely in love and can’t believe it took me this long to buy it!!!! I’m obsessed, such a gorgeous citrusy, sweet orange vanilla!!!!!!!

Kind of smells like those gummy cola bottles that you get at a cheap candy section. It's cozy, seductive, and almost nostalgic to me. Not super vanilla heavy though, I was expecting siomething heavy and creamy.

It’s not a playful or juvenile vanilla scent, it’s mature, rich with spice, yet softens into a warm, powdery vanilla in the drydown. Long-lasting and deeply comforting, leaving a trace of elegance in the air.

The opening has a bit of a strange dark leather scent on me, but the dry down is an absolutely gorgeous boozy, spiced rum vanilla. A very adult vanilla perfume, will be a staple for me this autumn and winter!

A really beautiful vanilla fragrance with spices, citrus fruits, some chocolate and hints of rum. It is a very classy and elegant type of scent, truly one of the best gourmands ever. 9/10

This is the big daddy of all the vanilla fragrances out there! I have smelled Angelique noire, baby cat, SDV and i would say they are quite good but .... But Vanilla Dioroma!!!!!

This is one of those scents you need to share with your partner. So beautiful. Develops to be more sweet and feminine on my skin, just lovely
