Eau Mage Eau de Parfum

It is unfortunate that this will be discontinued. Called up my local boutique to enquire about its availability but alas, the last bottle remains. I reserved it, of course, noting the sad reality of permanence. This perfume reminds me of my uncle (who collects perfume as well)‘s collection whenever I visit his place. The combination of his bottles and remnant molecules drifting through the air brings me to Eau Mage. While it conjures thoughts of similarity with Sauvage, Eau Mage brings the light-dark contrast beautifully with a stark reduction in spicy notes, elevating the overall composition. Please do get it if you find it in your local boutiques.

This is beautiful!! Fresh & spicy, elegantly provocative. Sexy. Very noticeable, yet not loud: it is perfect. I get a fresh mandarin at the top mixed with some cumin to give it a slight edge, and a touch of elegant rose. Ambroxan does the rest. The result is a subtle, captivating perfume: pretty fresh & slightly dirty, somewhat understated but whispering "naughty". Truly unique and distinctive. Longevity is great.I simply L-O-V-E it.

A perfume for dandys, very refined and chic, bright herbaceous, gets darker as it dries down. 8/10 in my humble opinion.

This is my first review. Not new to loving and wearing fragrance but new to immersion in the world of perfume and fragrantica. I've been revisiting scents from my past, testing and sampling extensively (obsessed really) have many strong likes- loves, even, but I cannot recall falling this hard for a new scent since 1982 when I was a kid. I am not the one to discuss notes so Ill aim for experience. I sense a warm sunny sexy day out and about the sights of Rome. A beautiful person's natural scent, but also very elegant and poised. It's is divine right from the top. both delicate and Very dirty. (Would LOVE this on a man too). It's lush citrus if citrus can be lush, yet soft, musky-animalic. Extremely high quality , I can smell a tiny spray to my wrist all day. It does evolve over time. I can't speak to silage as of yet I've been testing only small sprays for now because I don't want to use up the sample. The bottle is beyond gorgeous. Ps - it is already out of stock On the Diptyque website. Luckily I live in a city where there are a number of boutiques and I can manage with some samples for Now. FB and possibly signature worthy for me. I only hope they never stop Making it as this is their niche fragrance collection.

what an interesting scent! seems very light, subtle, faint but can be smelled all the time and for a long time. it was also sold to me as a layering and boosting scent, which usually prompts skepticism: who buys a $250 faint scent to just layer it with others? seems pompous and ridiculous. Well, the scent in itself is wonderful and so refined but it does work as a layering scent! I sprayed some on my hand this morning and lo and behold, it did reactivate the scent i was wearing last night (Naxos)

There are a lot of things I like about this scent, and I really want to love it. But the cumin/coriander note sticks out so glaringly when I wear it - and it doesn't even have a curry or bo vibe, its just an overpowering cumin spice - and I keep waiting for it to hopefully smooth out, to integrate.. but it never seems to.

I like its refreshing and green opening scent.. however it gets too dark, spicy and way too masculine and smells like a typical man's cologne after it settles down.

There is a similar parfum by comme des garçons called Monocle scent two Laurel. I recently bought that perfume and I suddenly realised that eau Mage had Laurel inside..because of it. Monocle is a weaker version I would say..I love both, maybe Monocle is more wearable for everyday.
