Essences Insensées Tiare

I ordered this from a sketchy site, and i was honestly scared that i was being scammed. Eaudeluxe is the only place that still sold this, and the reviews were mixed. Forcing myself to look at the bright side, i thought to myself: who would go out of their way to make a fake of an unpopular discontinued fragrance with a pretty uncommon/“complex” looking bottle? Surely the demand isnt big enough to warrant scammers producing fake versions of this fragrance. So i took the risk and ordered a bottle for about 100 euros. The delivery was very fast! It took them 3 days to deliver from new york to the netherlands. Very surprised. The Bottle is beautiful. I love bulb sprayers and i think i must be the only one.. yes theyre inconvenient but theyre so fun and i get less of an urge to overspray. I think what i received is real because it smells so good and not screechy or alcohol like. I also checked the batch code and it says it was produced in 2019, idk if that proves anything though The scent itself is amazing. Diptyque rarely disappoints me (except ilio) and neither does this. It smells like an actual Mediterranean coastal town with hints of creamy and soft white florals. The greenness is also very present. It smells like trees that have been scorching in the summer heat. Theres definitely something marine in here, but it doesnt overpower. Its just a light sea breeze. Theres also a TIIINY hint of sunscreen here, probably because the flowers are so creamy. In a typical diptyque fashion, this settles down into a powdery, old timey fragrance. Its extremely realistic smelling. It doesnt smell perfumey, but more like a recreation of an environment. Im pleased. I dont know what the performance is like yet, so i give it a 8/10. It can either go up or down

This is most pleasant from diptyque limited edition releases to my nose. A lot of people notice tiare flowers which I'm usually not so fund of so I stayed away from sampling this for a long time and I was so wrong to judge the book by it's cover. On my skin it's most delicious frangipani. Yellow, freshly blooming and salty. It has nothing to do with Kilian's LTWYF which is straight on suntan lotion scent. This is way different! I also get loads of neroli and honey hidden in the base mixed with vanilla and ambrette. It's an exquisite scent of luxury vacation in French Polynesia. Saltiness of frangipani gets softer after first 2 hours and this scent turns more warm and syrupy later on. Somehow it keeps that green(ish) vibe to it till the end which I'm pretty sure is the neroli's doing. Longevity is 8 1/2 hours on me and remains pretty solid no matter if it's warm or cold outside. It's more feminine scent rather than being unisex. The down side of the limited editions, as mentioned before, are the sprayers. They just don't seem to pick up any product nor disperse it evenly ont he skin. I simply decanted mine into travel atomizer and it works wonders. Bottle design for this edition on the other hand is absolutely collection worthy.

This perfume is lovely. A nice mix of floral, pink pepper, and vanilla. The vanilla is not overwhelming. I accidentally purchased a sample of this thinking I was purchasing the original 34. I was so pleased with this that I looked it up to maybe purchase a bottle. It is $250 for 100ml. Not sure why it’s not being sold in a smaller bottle. I picked up some more samples to enjoy. There are many other fragrances comparable to this one for much less.

I normally avoid green scents, but this is soft and silky and spiced rather than sharp. I love tropical florals for summer, but for me this is more of a winter scent due to the plush spices. I’m in love but the price is prohibitive. ETA: I swear this wears differently depending on weather. Amazing salty summer tiare. The opening is more tiare while the drydown is more unlisted salt/ambergris. Not heady, perfect for heat and humidity

Beautiful tiare with a subtle and smooth vanilla base. Love this year round for a quick pick me up. Wears as a skin scent but lasts fairly long. Have had no issues with the bulb atomizer and the bottle is truly gorgeous.

This is lovely. And I don't like most of tiare, monoi, whatever, the latest summer craze. Definitely one of the best I ever tried and I enjoy wearing it much more than I ever thought I would. But I'm not sure I like it enough to pay the full price. I saw people loving it and buying Songes instead. The bottle is beautiful but the pear spray thingy is stuck or leaks, well it's infuriating and makes me want to smash the whole thing. I imagine likely scenario of needing it one dark, chilly, depressing november morning to brighten my day and being late because of the bloody thing and throwing it out of the window or something...no, no, that won't do.

Very floral and soapy. I mostly feel the frangipane and the tiara. It has a vacation jungle vibe. I agree with others that it's coconutty and creamy! I don't feel any marine or aquatic notes though.

Same thing happened with the tester sprayer at my store but the douchy guy didnt even care so I guess there's your sign.

Oh no. I got a sample and I really dislike this. There is a ton of vanilla, pepper, and something almost ammonia-like here... a spicy musky aroma that reminds me of chemicals meant to invoke a ‘mineral’ oceanic note. It is quite similar to Calvin Klein’s ‘Reveal’- yes - Cashmeran... my nemesis. Unless luckyscent mislabeled my sample I’m smelling a $250 version of a $20 perfume. Edit: not a mislabel.. tried it in the Diptyque boutique and it smells just the same. I don’t smell any flowers. Edit: This actually smells more like Acqua di Sale than Reveal.

That's all?? Omg, even diptyque started making eau de eaux!!! Sad but true... PS: the tester sprayer didn't work, although barely used, so they had to open a new one in the store! Go figure...

I had a blind first impression, not knowing the notes. My first thoughts were, spicy aldehydes, so it's unusual, in that you can't describe a spicy aldehyde accord. You will need to try this. But it did smell great and expensive. I love gardenia in nature, so that's what I liked most about this fragrance, is the tropical tiara Gardenia. It is mixed with aldehydes of some sort, and the brisk peppery spices, that bring this towards a gender neutral floral, but stays leaning feminine. It reminds me of Tom Ford "Velvet Gardenia" but brighter and more modern. It gave me the impression of liquid tiara gems, or minerals. There is a minereral-esque hardness to the fragrance. It's not so special, and I wish you could smell the tiara gardenia in a more dominant way. It is not bottle worthy for me at the high price. I will wait a few years till good deals can be found. This is not a complicated scent, but incredibly pleasant. Diptyque advertises this as a prominent floral, but I don't really agree. I would describe it more as a light, sweet green with a healthy dose of vanilla. As someone who mostly doesn't enjoy florals, I really like this. The floral is more "atmospheric" and not overpowering. It is fresh but not astringent, sweet but not cloying. Very inoffensive scent, and would make a good everyday dumb-grab. Great for spring/summer, very feminine. I feel pretty wearing this. Unfortunately, I take issue with the price for the juice. It's a lovely scent and works nice with my skin, but lacks the type of uniqueness / "wow" factor I seek out in niche perfumes. The longevity also isn't the best, I would give it something like 4 hours.

It was a blind buy, sort of a trade of a half bottle. I am testing it right now. My first impression is that its very aquatic and salty on me. It is winter here in Eastern Europe so the weather outside is cold, and my skin is a bit dry and during these circumstances I can not find it very pleasing on myself. I love the bottle but all the reviews below promised me a beautiful warm tropical floral and I just cant find it. It is nice, reminds me of Acqua di Sale. However they have not much in common but still. Tiare on me is a marine, salt and wind scent. I really hope that summer will make it shine and warm it up to fully bloom on me. I am willing to sell/trade a beautiful bottle (half empty).

Beautiful bottle! Got a sample and found it not to my liking. The "green notes" found here, you can find in any EDT at the discount store. Smells really cheap. Honestly, it smells like Lucky You for Men, Lucky Brand, which I found headache inducing. And I guess they amped up the indoles in this one too much, because there is a salty rancidness going on to my nose, almost fecal. Probably a particularly pungent batch of tiare absolute. Bummer for me, because I love white florals, and the bottle really is gorgeous.

“Beautiful” is not a word i would use to describe a smell, but the moment I smelled it, I saw a place in my mind I have never been...to me, and on me it leads feminine but I don’t care💜humans don't deserve to smell like this...top 5 all time frag. The salty waves. The smell of flowers in the breeze, the way the airy floral creaminess settles into the atmosphere...beautiful and I got a good 8-9 hours out of it. 10/10 cop it if you can find it price be damned

I agree with Valkyrian below...very green to me as well. I get a green, spicy and somewhat sharp floral with some vanilla...quite lovely and perfect for a summer release. I have the 2015 Jasmine release and it's beautiful but boy do I hate the bulb atomizer. I really wish Diptyque would change these releases to include a swappable regular screw in atomizer and a screw in bulb atomizer (like the old Guerlain Matiere bottles)for those with the bulb fetish.

Got a sample of this from Lucky Scent and I really liked it. Unfortunately it lasted less than five minutes. I don't know if my sample was genuine or a knock-off, but there's no way I would buy a full bottle due to poor staying power...very disappointed because this was the first time I ever tried a fragrance from Diptyque.
