Philosykos Eau de Toilette

How do I even write a review that does my signature scent justice? I can simply say, it smells amazing, and that it's Timeless, chic, modern, and trendy. A perfect 10/10, but to me it's much more. To me, Philosykos is nostalgia in a bottle along with all the things to come In the future. I was 15yd at the Colette fashion boutique begging my mom to buy me something. She bought me the edt version and 13 years later it's still the bottle I reach for the most. I was bummed out when I got to the hotel and sprayed it for the first time. I thought it smelled nasty. My mom said "I bought it, so you have to wear it". Since then I have come to love this fragrance. I grew up with this fragrance and it has been with with me through all the important moments of my life. My first pimple & facial hair, my first relationship & heart break, learning to drive & my first concert. Along with all the peaks and vallys of my life. When ever I spray Philosykos it always brings me back to multiple moments in time. To me the EDT & EDP smell the same with the EDP having more heft and lasting power on your skin. The smell: This is hands down the best realistic fig on the market. At first sniff, you get a very green, soiliy fig that develops into a fresh, transparent, watery, airy scent. Imagine walking up to a fig tree that's on a cliff overlooking the shore. You pick a fig and a fig leaf up off the ground, and rip the leaf in half. Now, put both up to your nose, and that's the initial smell you get. Then, you pick a fresh fig and start to eat it while enjoying the view of the beautiful coastline. You taste and smell the juicy fig as a cool ocean breeze hits you; it cuts down the smell of the fig, making it something delicate and airy while feeling a clean cooling sensation. That's how Philosykos dries down. I don't get any milky or lotion-like vibes from this fragrance at all. It's not listed in the notes but multiple people have said it. I believe there is ISO E Super in this fragrance; which might be the reason some people get a milky/lotion-like feel. It would also explain why a lot of people think it smells bad. ISO E Super doesn't mix well with some people's skin chemistry, so test before you buy. On my skin, especially in the dry down, I get a clean, fresh, airy, watery scent with a delicate light fig in the background. I think the ISO E Super is the reason I get that fresh feel on my skin. If I could put a song to Philosykos it would be The Smashing pumpkins 1979

I love love love fig fragrances, and this is my favorite. I’d go as far as to say it’s my favourite perfume ever, at least in my top 3. This is therapy in a bottle. Every time I feel I need to snap out of an anxious or depressed state, I spray Philosykos and it always helps, even if it’s for just one second. This perfume is such a strong way to “distract” yourself: the photorealism is so great that your focus is immediately redirected towards a new mindscape. It simply doesn’t smell like “perfume”, it smells like art, like an adventure. It tells a story. I get the grass, the trees, the leaves, the fruit at its different stages of ripeness, and a lovely but light lactonic dry down. There’s zero coconut by the way. It is milky in a fresh way, as in, not powdery at all, but I don’t get any coconut. I see why one would think about coconut, but I think it’s an association of ideas, rather than the scent being actually there. But isn’t it what’s wonderful about perfumes? Longevity is good on me. The fragrances I love tend to have poor projection, sillage and longevity, so I think I’ve developed a more sensitive attention to them. Over time, I can smell it longer and longer on my skin, and on my clothes. It lasts all day, in one form or another. I get whiffs of it all the time, that’s perfect for me, I like to be gently reminded throughout the day, I don’t like “in your face” perfumes. And I only do 2-3 sprays. Funnily enough, I am wearing this in the dead of winter and I find it perfect. I can wear citrus or floral scents in winter, but it often feels like I’m trying to create a vibe out of thin air, and it feels a bit too out of place to be properly enjoyed. But not with this one, for some reason. It works really well in winter, at least for me :) I haven’t tried the EDP but from the reviews I’ve read it’s a bit more fruity/floral and a bit more woodsy on the dry down, and I don’t think those areas are where the perfume is telling its story, so I’ll stick with the EDT for now.

I went to Nordstrom's with the intention of finally purchasing a bottle of PDM Herod for my birthday. I had gotten a sample last fall and absolutely adored it and decided I'd treat myself since I had a bit of extra cash. I haven't been collecting fragrances for very long so I have a huge back log of classics I need to get my nose on. So I finally got my nose on Herod, and it was quite nice, but I actually ended up liking Oajan more and was pretty sure I'd get that. But then I noticed the Diptyque counter. I had a decant of ADP Fico di Amalfi and really loved it. So I was very interested in sampling other Fig fragrances, thus I guessed I would take a sec before buying Oajan and give Philosykos a sniff. I think every fragrance lover chases that eye popping moment when you smell something that literally stops your brain in it's tracks and transports you somewhere far away with a nostalgia for something you never knew. I didn't grow up around Fig trees and most of my experience with the leaves and fruit is culinary, but that natural and unique scent is so familiar to me, not really at all like Fico di Amalfi, but nonetheless familiar, and somehow older. Philosykos is really truly a masterpiece green fragrance, and my new summer daily driver, replacing ADG EDP. My only complaint is longevity. I got 5 hours before it was barely perceptible on skin, and it does sit close, but I think that's fine for this fragrance, you wouldn't want it to pump, just wish it lasted longer. They did not have the EDP but I believe I will have to find it.

It is always heartbreaking when a fragrance has poor sillage and poorer longevity, but the philosykos EDT is perhaps the most heartbreakingly faint and fleeting fragrance of them all, owing solely to the sheer beauty of the fragrance itself. Philosykos EDT (yes specifically the EDT; the EDP has a plethora of its own nuances that make it distinct enough to talk about separately) is almost jarringly spot on when it comes to replicating the same scent you’re probably familiar with if you grew up near fig trees. Photorealism is really the word here; it is a stunning imprisonment of one of the world’s most fragrant fruit trees in a bottle. It is unique without being edgy or off-putting, and yet it is so elegant and so refreshing that it is just impossibly easy to wear. It smells like a grandfather, in a wise and gentle way, while also smelling like an adventure to somewhere wherein you have no idea what to expect. The one thing wrong with this frag is the performance. You will have to overspray to get this juice to go anywhere past the length of your elbow, and you will have to carry it with you to reapply it for it to last longer than a few hours. It is one of those fragrances that you simply need everyone to experience, not out of a selfish desire to be complimented or to appear a certain way, but because it is so lovely that you couldn’t possibly want to keep it for yourself. Use it to layer over other figgy, woody scents; it does an excellent job of adding a little something to other fragrances.

I reviewed the EDP version of Philosykos a while ago, and wanted to compare it to the original EDT. Olivia Giacobetti is the pioneer of fig in perfume, and is the nose behind both this and its aptly-named precursor, Premier Figuier for L'Artisan Parfumeur. I had fig fatigue now, but objectively speaking, they are top-notch examples of figgy perfumes. Back to Philosykos: comparing this original EDT to the more recent EDP reveals that they are slightly different takes on fig. This incarnation is simpler, more of a "solifruit", whereas the fig in the EDP is rounded out by other notes. Philosykos EDT opens with green fig leaf, fresh and crisp, softening into the fleshy fruit as it develops. There is an inherent lactonic quality to fig itself, often enhanced by coconut in perfumes, Philosykos EDP included. Here, the fig is left alone, photorealistic and natural; sweet, jammy and lactonic. The greenness and sweetness remain a it dries down and it becomes softly musky as it fades. Sillage is intimate and longevity is moderate. It is a unisex spring/summer scent. Perhaps the purest, most realistic fig scent of all, Philosykos was groundbreaking at the time of its release, and holds up beautifully as one of the best, most iconic figs. I prefer this to the EDP. Profumum Roma Ichnusa is my favourite fig of all, a vibrant green rendering of the entire fig tree, but this is a classic. 4.5/5.

I have this 100ml bottle for about a year and the way I love this scent is so unique and fulfilling. I’m a fig & nature lover so when I first smelled it I was shocked of how incredible it smells. Pure nature in its most peaceful and beautiful bright moments. I also adore rain and the smell of rain or the nature wetness of grass, flowers, trees. This fragrance to me is a masterpiece. This is probably still my very very one favorite smell of all time. It’s like it opens up some space for my inner happiness to come up & shine. Smells like a beautiful fresh day in a garden or a park full of nature and big trees after they were watered. Smells so realistic I just adore it. So clean, the smell of nature trees smells so beautiful in this fragrance. It also has a light sweetness to it after a while wearing it that adds so much more to it as a signature worthy scent. It’s not only nature put it’s slightly sweet too. It’s incredible. After spraying it, when night comes and im about to sleep, when my nose is close to my arm I can still smell it so slightly and sweet like a light coconut cotton. It brightens my mood. Besides all that, it has such an intense nostalgia feeling to it but not in a sad way. It smells familiar and happy. I can always talk about this scent because it is so familiar/ magical to me.

Purchased a dupe of this at approximately the same time I acquired a sample of the original EDT. I tested the dupe first and had already decided I hated it based on the heavy coconut. I dislike coconut notes with a passion (equaled by excessive black currant & exceeded only by my hatred for the patchouli in ubiquitous modern fruitchoulis). Consider this a warning not to buy copies of this particular fragrance unless you enjoy a sickly, greasy, cloying coconut note, which, imho negates the point of a green fragrance. Having said that, I finally tested the original EDT sample today & am in love. I am not familiar enough with figs to speak about that aspect, but this is very much what I'd imagine a fig tree to smell like based upon the description. Imho, Philosykos smells much like aloe gel after a day in the sun. Very fresh, cool, and soothing. Update: I had been looking for the perfect fresh greenery to layer with my Chanel 19 Poudre & have found it in the original EDT of this fragrance. If the two are gorgeous on their own, they are even better together. In fact, this seems to layer beautifully with just about everything green & is in my current top 5 favorite fragrances.

I found myself slowly falling in love with this scent... my initial response to it was a lack of interest in it as the concept of smelling like a fig tree down to its branches did not seem very appealing to me.( I know what I like in my little perfume world, that being cozy, creamy, milky and lactonic and always sweet) As i was checking out at diptyque , the cashier threw in a sample for me to try and now I'm considering buying a full bottle. Safe to say it grew on me I spritzed it on after my nightly shower and the smell became addicting. there is something so elegant and romantic about smelling exactly like a fig on a warm summer night whilst reading with your nightly chamomile tea beside you. There is a reason there are only three notes listed here, that's because this smells like one thing only- a fig tree ! so earthy and unique. Its moderately intimate, i was definitely catching the scent as i was reading occasionally. There really isn't much more to say as its obviously not very complex, if you want to smell like a photo realistic fig tree , this scent is 100% for you !

I don't know why the previous reviewer said it's "not sexy". This perfume isn't supposed to be sexy. It's supposed to make you feel something. It evokes such a strong pleasant memories for me of vacationing with my family in Croatia and Greece that I just can't stop sniffing it. I quickly became addicted to this. Yes, it's very green because it's the whole tree, the sap, it's a woody at the dry down and it makes my brain go back into the simpler times of my childhood. I am so in love I don't even mind that it lasts barely an hour, I'll wear this for me and consider this art. I am appalled that I just discovered this and it was made almost 30 years ago. Some people smell fresh white peaches instead of a fig, I personally smell an unripe green fig and I love it with all of me. Movies and shows this reminds me of: Call me by your name (obviously), the vacation episode of Normal people. It really smells like the summer you fell in love for the first time with the best childhood holiday memory you have. Easily in my top five.

I don't think this is as green as everyone's making it out to be; this to me is a lovely milky fig with woody elements and a wonderful coconut-y element to it. I realised that I like the EDT way more than the EDP (which I decluttered) for the coconut-y, more summery element of it. The performance isn't great, but people always compliment me on this when they hug me, which isn't a terrible thing in Summer, where you don't want your fragrance to be too hectic. My suggestion is to keep a decant and just continue to spray for the heavens throughout the day. I am also thinking of getting the body lotion to help. Bottom line is, i`'ve been wearing this for 20 years - it's the closest thing I've got to a signature scent, and the fragrance is SO amazing (I wear it year-round), that I don't even care that it doesn't last. 10/10. There's a reason this is still the most beloved fig fragrance. Also, Matiere Premier Musc isn't as figgy as this. I like it, but this is the gold standard of fig fragrances.

Have had a love affair with this perfume for a very long time, I've been spraying samples at perfume counters for easily 3 years or more and it always makes me double take. Opportunity arose where I could buy the EDT at a discount and I took it. There's nothing I could say that hasn't already been written, but this a true to life, embodied, breathing fig tree. Such a realistic profile! I'd even go so far as to say there's a heady, pollen note that immediately brings me outdoors upon first spray. I could convince myself into a synesthesia diagnosis with this one, because you can really see the scene being painted here. I think the cool-off at least with the EDT is not as exciting or as double-take worthy as the initial spray. I also, selfishly, find it overpriced. HOWEVER-- If you want to jump into the best spring day in your memory, its this one, its always this one. Excited to wear in winter to feel something. Belissima!

Where do I even start? This was the first fragrance that really spoke to me, as someone who previously didn't quite care for them. I received a little 10mL spray of it ages ago as a gift, and it was love at first spray. While It might not have the strongest sillage or longevity (it's quite weak in fact), the bright opening of fig leaves and the coconut drydown -- which to me was very reminiscent of the idea of milk -- left me stunned. It's sweet and mellow, in a way that's reminiscent of having a gentle breeze waft through leaves laced together by branches, carrying with it a soft quality from its milky drydown. Even as I've begun to experiment with more unique fragrances and notes, I still find myself returning to philosykos. Definitely a little biased because I'm sentimental towards the perfume, but it's worth a shot if you'd like something comforting, inoffensive and suited for everyday wear.

I got this perfume from my father who usually flies with Qatar Airways. They usually give out amenity kits by Diptyque when flying in business class. I didn't really know the fragrance (it's my first ever "niche" fragrance), so I decided to try one day. Sweet and refreshing, green and fruity. Lovely for Spring and Summer. I got addicted to the fig notes and to how fresh the fragrance was. I started wearing it going to university as a everyday fragrance and i finished the 10ml bottle (the one the comes in Qatar's amenity kits) in just 1 month! Unfortunately it doens't last long. I know it's an EDT, but i hate to have to overspray it only to have it disappear after 1-2 h. I also bought the solid perfume version, less fig notes, but it lasts longer (sacrificing the sillage) and I don't finish it after 2 months. Still a legendary fragrance that i always like to have on my shelf for a casual spray.

Scent: this was the first perfume I smelled with purpose when I got into this hobby 6 months ago and on paper in the shop, I was unimpressed. "It’s just fig 🤷🏻♀️". Decided to be more curious and try it on my skin after all yesterday and wow, it was like putting on glasses for the first time! Chemistry made it suddenly so much more interesting, and it develops so beautifully from picture realistic fig to fresh juice and cozy atmosphere. It’s like a sunny spring day walking around fig trees. It makes me as happy as walking in nature and I love it. Also my partner kept complimenting me on how fresh and lovely I smelled! Longevity: maybe I am blessed but I put it on at 2PM, one spray in the inner corner of my elbow, and could still smell it on my skin the next morning when I woke up at 7AM! So I don’t understand the poor longevity described here 😳

Oh! THIS is fig done right. The woman who helped me at Diptyque told me the beautiful story of how 2 of the founders went to Greece and brought back a care package for the 3rd. Philosykos captures the scent of opening the box: a fig that transports you somewhere else Philosykos is not bright and juicy. It's fig in its entirety - the leaf, the bark, the fruit. It's a summer's day as much as it is a beacon of warmth in the winter. New York is freezing and I reach for it day after day The sillage is intimate but I can still smell it on myself hours later. I can see Philosykos becoming a no-brainer scent for me. Despite my fervent love of perfume, I get easily overwhelmed if I'm not in the right mood. Philosykos is subtle and inoffensive, the least perfumey perfume I've come across. I love it I love it I love it

Just love, nothing else. If I had to describe it in words, I'd say: a countryside wedding in Tuscany or Umbria. Herbaceous, fresh, and fruity, it's perfect for going anywhere—it feels like you always carry an aura of freshness with you. This version obviously doesn't leave a massive scent trail (due to the high volatility of the molecules), but it will be incredibly pleasant to anyone standing next to you. [I did try the EDP, which I found much less airy, understandably so]. The fragrance leans a bit feminine, but as a guy, I wear it with a lot of pride and confidence. In relaxed, casual settings, I've even had people ask me where to buy it (especially women) Even in the peak of summer heat, I didn't have the issue of it turning 'muddy' on the skin; it still manages to stay crisp and noticeable.

Maybe I am biased, but I don't know how anyone could dislike this fragrance. Giacobetti is a master of her craft. When you ask if smell can evoke memories, I answer Philosykos. It smells so realistically of the sweet ripe flesh of fig and the verdant greenery of its skin. Philosykos is so carnally real, like I am ten again, tan and sweaty from the sun, and my mother is cutting fruit for me, juice is seeping out through the long gash on its side. People are unfortunately not lying about the longevity/sillage, but I don't mind too much. It feels very intimate, like I am being wrapped in fig leaves and consumed whole. I prefer the EDP, but for the price, the EDT is an incredible photorealistic fragrance.

I own Philosykos in both concentrations — EDT and EDP, and to me they feel like two completely different perfumes. The EDT is a classic green, woody fig. Very dry, airy, and botanical. It honestly reminds me of a freshly broken lilac branch — not the flowers, but the wood itself: green, slightly bitter, and very natural. The EDP, on the other hand, brings out a clear lactonic side. The base is much softer and rounder — creamy, coconut-milky, almost velvety. It opens quite sharp and astringent, but then slowly melts into this smooth, milky fig wood. They share the same idea, but the execution is totally different. Two interpretations, two moods — and both are absolutely beautiful in their own way.

This is perfume done right. This scent makes me feel something: sophisticated, clean, beautiful. I was thinking, in awe, that this perfume should be something universal... Then it clicked into me, well, this is fig scent! Ha! I feel dumb for a second. Philosykos is this waxy, fresh, clean fig with a rather sweet and muted facet. I always think of a sap... I don't know. A sap that is fragrant and could only speak of nature. Philosykos goes well with everything in my case. I live in Bali where the sun shines like it was just born... Philosykos compliments this. I also believe that this will compliment the other climate well due to its versatility and sophistication of a scent, yet so minimal.

Incredibly unique and compelling. You really do get every part of the fig tree; you get the fresh green leaves, you get the woody bark, you get the indulgent fruit of the fig, and even the earthyness of the trees roots. Smells like you meditated under a fig tree and your soul is glowing through your skin. If I didn't know this was supposed to emulate a fig tree, I would just think its the most green, fresh, earthy, yet ethereal fragrance I've smelt. Perfect for spring and summer obviously, but I think it surpasses time and weather; truly stunning. Longevity is iffy but I have yet to find a scent at all to live up to my hopes of lasting power, so it equals out for me I guess.

This was my first introduction to the house of Diptyque, and I am quite honestly shocked because I have never had an experience like this. This is truly a story about a fig tree. It opens with the branches, develops into the green fig, settles into a creamy fig, and finally drifts away with hints of bark. I am amazed at how perfumes can be a form of art, beyond simply being pleasant or unpleasant compositions. As someone who isn’t into strong, cloying scents, I love this. It is very light on the skin. I add one spray to my clothes and one more on the back of my neck, and I can still smell it at the end of the day. It is the most creamy, inoffensive, and beautiful scent.

Philosykos isn't exactly my favorite fragrance, but it's definitely my most worn fragrance by a large margin, because there's really no context where I *wouldn't* want to smell like this. Some "green" fragrances have an off note that almost reminds me of dirty laundry, but this one is just pleasantly, straightforwardly leafy and green. I don't smell much difference between the opening and the drydown. I would wear this in any weather, but I reach for it more in the warmer months. The only thing I've found that might fill this niche better is Profumum Ichnusa, but that isn't exactly the same thing, and in any event is much more expensive than this.

ended up getting a 5ml of this and first spray — just green green green! leaves and trees. But then it takes me through a journey, it gets soft and almost milky. at the end of all of this, there’s a slight powdery fragrance left but you’re still left with some sort of like coconut milk type of smell? it’s really wild how it went from pungent green to soft milk. it’s 60 degrees at the moment and this is wafting. every move I make, I can smell this beautiful fragrance and I just have to get a bigger bottle. This is very light but not light to the point it disappears in 5 minutes. ITS ALL ABOUT THE DRY DOWN IN THIS FRAGRANCE!!

This has been on my radar for so long, but the price always put me off. But I finally took the plunge and blind bought it after seeing it on allbeauty and I used my £10 credit. And oh boy... this is so good. Ive overdone my beloved powdery perfumes over the holidays so this is the perfect pallet cleanser. Green and clean. Low maintenance and an easy reach. Only slight issue I have is that its not the most long lasting, but i think if layered with a woody/musky/molecular scent it might perform a bit stronger. But its a really gorgeous scent, Im obsessed. I've had compliments from my partner and my mum. Winner. 10/10.

This perfume is just lovely. It smells like outside but in a clean way. Like if you hung clean linen out to dry right next to a fig tree by the ocean. It's fresh, photorealistic, and so very me. I adore it and reach for it all the time. I bought this perfume at the original Diptyque store in Paris, the first day I was there, and wore it for the rest of my trip. So, although this is a love letter to Greece, it will always remind me of springtime in Paris, and for that, it holds a special place in my heart. If you love niche, fresh fragrances this is a must try. The creamy dry-down is truly such a treat.

I have crazy FOMO from not getting the EDP, but the EDT I own is incredible but weak. It smells like really *expensive* skincare, really lactonic, soapy and green. Its extremely elegant. Wearing this perfume just sets the tone for the day and your attitude. It's an extremely intimate weak scent. If you work at an office with a scent policy this might be the perfect thing for you. I had more time to experience this perfume, this smells exactly like tearing lettuce apart and smelling the core, but in a good way. It gives off this ethereal whimsical essence, like you're wearing nature itself.

The EDT version of Philosykos reminds me of a softer, more universally tolerable version of BDK's Gris Charnel and also Lancome's Figues and Agrumes. I love a cozy fig and own several with the profile, but GC and F&A are both just too strong for an office setting IMO. Today was cold, dark and dry - perfect for this scent profile. I had forgotten how stunning Philosykos is. It is a clean and green, soapy, fig fragrance with a powdery, almost iris-y dry down. I don't own the EDP, but am tempted to see how it compares to the EDT. This is possibly THE perfect unisex dead-of-winter perfume.

I never smelled anything like this before. It was almost jarring at first but addictive at the same time. I just said "this smells like outside" and couldn't stop smelling it. I always went for old-fashioned florals before discovering Philosykos but it's quickly become one of my favorites. It's different but not for the sake of being different, but because it's beautiful. I sometimes layer it with Penhaligon's Lily of the Valley when I'm in the mood to soften it and make it a bit more feminine without dulling the sparkling green freshness. Absolutely stunning work.

this is a really beautiful perfume. it's a photorealistic fig scent, as if you've just snapped the stems off a fig that is slightly unripe. it is very, very green and fresh in the beginning, almost a little too green, but the drydown is my favorite: it turns slightly into a sweet and lactonic scent, almost like coconuts. i cant stop smelling my wrists once that lactonic note hits! there is only one problem with this perfume, as with most of diptyque's scents; the longevity and sillage is non-existent. it really is a shame, as i am in love with this perfume! 9.5/10.

This is a really lovely fragrance, so cool, fresh and simple. I originally bought it for layering but I find I actually love it best by itself. The opening is very fresh and green - the fig note is foremost but it’s fresh fig and not a jammy one. The dry down is softer and sweeter with just a hint of coconut. I’m sitting under a fig tree on a Greek island on a fresh spring morning, looking out on a sparkling azure Aegean Sea. The projection is subtle and the longevity isn’t great at all but I still love it - I just have to reapply it every 3-4 hours.

I don’t even like figs like that, but I LOVE this scent!!! This is one of the most realistic fragrances I have ever smelled. The opening is fresh and juicy, but not in a sweet or artificial way. It smells like an actual plant. Within minutes I found myself smelling fig leaves, branches, sap, wood, and warm summer air. Like a living fig tree. I honestly wish more woody fragrances were made like this. If someone could create a forest fragrance with this level of realism, I would buy it immediately. I can't stop smelling my wrist, it’s addicting!!

It’s initially very green, velvety sweet and juicy. Smells identical to a fig fruit and what I’d image the tree to smell like. Makes my mouth water. As it settles it gets slightly powdery and almost a bit floral. For me, two sprays, one on each wrist and one on my chest/shirt, lasted me 3-4 hours. I can smell soft wafts of it in the air as I move. Makes me feel like I am walking through a dewy forest while eating a ripe fig fruit. I tested this perfume in a tropical climate, 78 degrees at about 60 % humidity outside. This is an elegant perfume!

This is very interesting, nice and soft in a unique way i have never smelled before, never ever saw a real fig tree so can not say about that. Based on reviews i was afraid this is too green leafy or woody, but it is not. Creamy as in my best wishes. Very natural, comforting, inoffensive, kind of simple, but still unique. I think this would be good for layering too. This very genderless scent in my opinion. By first impression on wrist i think i will love this. This does not clash with my personality like some other unisex too clean fragrances.

I was pleasantly surprised that perfume that I liked from description I liked even more once tried myself! It has sweet smell of a fresh fig combined with green leaf just crunched in your hands, but unlike EDT it doesn’t have that warm bitterness of wood and earth, it’s more light, like a cool wind in the summer. Unlike EDT, this one has very light smell, closer to the skin, it lingers lightly around your skin, and as a fan of japanese perfumes I really liked it, but if you want to leave a wave of scent behind yourself, try EDT.

Tried this on in the shop today and hate that I like it so much; I was determined not to because it's popular and deep down I'm petty. This perfume disarms gently. Ugh it's so pretty, in a restrained, nostalgic, pastoral kind of way. Conjures images of clifftop rainshowers and golden afternoons. Could see myself wearing this frequently. (In case you happened to see my other review noting another, entirely different perfume was tried on at the shops today, consider that I have TWO arms, ONE neck and NO restraint.)

A breath of fresh air, green and milky in the most effortless way. The fig here is crisp and vibrant, with a lush leafy quality that feels like standing in the shade of a fig tree on a warm day. As it develops, a creamy, woody note emerges, making it feel natural and grounded rather than overly sweet. It’s light but not weak, fresh but not sharp–just beautifully balanced. Unlike many fruity scents, this has an earthy elegance that makes it feel special. Unique, easy to wear, and impossible to forget.

Absolute love at first sniff. This is the perfect summer scent for me. Its just such a good blend of green, fresh but also has a slightly sweeter and creamier drydown. Its green and fresh without being harsh, it makes me feel like im reading beneath a fig tree on a cozy blanket on a hot summer day while the shade is keeping me slightly cool. My comfort perfume. It sticks to my skin really well and the scent even lasted through frequent sunscreen application.

This is much more beautiful than I expected. It is a beautiful green luscious fig tree, but also kind of milky, reminding me of the white part of flesh of the fig fruit. It is not sweet, it’s not fruity, it is really the tree, a bit of the wood / bark, leaves and the white part of the fig fruit. I feel like I’m sitting under a fig tree on a nice summer day, with a light breeze, hiding from the sun in the shade of the tree. Beautiful experience.

Green, photorealistic fig. I love wearing Philosykos on hot days when I want to smell clean. The sillage is very poor, I think it would take many sprays for anyone else to smell this on me. For this reason though, I think it makes for a lovely office perfume. Would also suit going on a picnic, or a walk in a park. It would be the perfect scent for a trip to the Mediterranean in the summer! I'm almost saving it for this occasion.

So fresh and juicy! At the beginning I feel a very natural green fig scent, incredibly photorealistic, then it evolves in a pleasant soapy scent that makes me feel super clean, like I just washed with a very luxurious fig soap. Lasts on me 4 h, just got the solid perfume version to reapply during the day. For now a favorite for these hot Italian almost-summer days, when I find it difficult to tolerate almost any perfume

One of my favourite fragrances. I'm not familiar with the smell of figs, but to me it smells like a photorealistic scent of biting into a really juicy plum with a green note that reminds me of being outside near trees. Unfortunately the sillage is quite weak, so I always overspray this one. But personally I prefer weaker sillage over beast mode perfumes so for me that's not a problem. Really loooove this fragrance!

This is an old friend who sits in my cabinet alongside many other bottles. For some reason, she is often overlooked and sits on the shelf unopened. Then one spring morning I will reach for her and open the cap and spray the figs onto my neck and remember again why I adore her. She is forever young, charming, kind, gentle, affectionate. She doesn't overpower me. She just reminds me of why I am happy to be alive.

Aboslutely fell in love with this fragrance. I'll have to try the EDP before choosing which one I'll purchase. On my skin, it started off as VERY green but quickly mellowed out into a very creamy fig scent. It's absolutely mouth-watering and very reminiscent of summer for me. Super comforting. Only downside is the weak projection, I'll be trying the EDP to see if it's a bit stronger.

What a beautiful, beautiful, unique and pleasant scent .. it's not a gourmand or fruity fig, it's a green and leafy .. photorealistic .. standing under a fig tree after a light drizzle or rain .. it's such a shame how poorly it performs .. 3 hours and i couldn't smell it at all on my arm .. if it performed better this would easily make my top 10 but not at this state of performance.

I have really grown to love this! At first I bought it because it reminded me of the vacation spot we used to go and the fig trees around me. It is super photorealistic, fresh and green. Perfect for the warmer months. I really don't get why people say it isn't long lasting. For an EDT it's really long lasting! It stays the entire day and creates a cozy scent bubble.

when I first smelled it it was very green which I wasn’t a fan of but now (I think it’s my 3rd time smelling it) it smells SO GOOD. I can finally smell the juicy fig that everyone was talking about, a very ripe fig and the fig tree is still here but it’s not so strong anymore. I dunno how did it change suddenly but I kind of want the full bottle now

Dazzling, fresh, green, sweet without being sugary. Possibly my most enduring favorite. I measure all my summer perfumes against this. When I'm feeling overheated in a big city, I will walk into a department store, find the Diptyque counter, and absolutely drench myself in this before any salesperson can stop me. Makes everything better.

Very green and loud smell, but not long-lasting. Feels like childhood memories of waking up early on summer vacation and someone is cutting grass in the garden, right near your bedroom's window. Adore it. Not a signature scent, not a "one-bottle-fits-all" type of perfume. But great bottled memories, which you can wear during summer.

Love at first sniff! I wanted a fig, and I got what I wanted. I can sense fig leaf but also a fruit. It is best for summer, maybe autumn, rising up the sunny vibe and uplifting the mood for sure. It is green, earthy, fruity, and I also like to use it occassinaly now in winter time- just to remind me how beautiful summer is. 😊

People who never saw let alone smelled a fig tree this fragrance would be imaginary to them yet pleasant and green , I lived very close to fig trees all my life and I can understand what’s the perfumer trying to incapsulate In the scent it’s a revolutionary fragrance that imitated nature masterfully that is mind boggling
