Philosykos Solid Perfume

Not to flex, but I first experienced Philosykos in a Ritz-Carlton bathroom suite in KL. I never thought rich people would want to smell like a fig tree in Greece, but I've been quite obsessed with this scent ever since. To me, it's purely an anthem to fig notes: fresh, green, and leafy. Definitely feminine and perfect for warm days. The packaging is very cute and convenient to carry around for a quick refresh. It's very intimate, not too strong, and safe for work.

the hype is very real. the solid perfume is so cute and is a perfect purse perfume, but I would def recommend the bottle over it. it was def worth it for me but your not getting much product for your money, if you wear often you'll def need a refill. it is really cool for layering either with the edp or other perfumes!!

Honestly insane for summer. Smells just like Greece. Not too strong but still leaves a nice sillage. Bonus: it doesn't have alcohol in it, so it can be used under the sun without the risk of skin irritation.

I will say I was a little worried upon first impressions as the solid does have notes of coconut (not listed here but is for the EDP) - it's all I could smell and it was strange mix of suncream and baby soap. I usually cannot stand the scent of coconut on me but have desperately been searching for a summer scent that just envelopes you. Upon dry down I definitely get the sap which I adore although the fig does lean a lot more coconut. It's a heatwave so perhaps the composition will differ on a slightly cooler day. Sad to report I cannot decipher any pepper. I am excited to see how this performs as an EDP. I wanted to try Philosykos without the commitment of a bottle and this does the job. It's fruity without that cloying sensation that can sit at the back of your mouth. The wood is almost saccharine as if you walked into the garden shed on a warm day. Overall it's pleasant and the intimacy of the scent lends itself to specific applications. A great choice to wear out to dinner as it's clean, easy to reapply in the bathroom without being obnoxious, and won't engulf the table as you sit down to eat.

i've yet to try the edp though i can say this is akin to the edt, with the addition of a creamy coconut nuance that isn't listed in the notes. I find it especially suited to a solid format, it adds a gentle warmth and softness that feels cocooning. it opens into a fresh sappy fig, lifted with a whisper of pepper to highlight the green facets, and coconut humming in the background with a soft balmy warmth. it wears intimately on the skin and is very well balanced.

bought this because the salesperson told me i could layer this with edp to have more sillage and longevity. the packaging is very luxurious and the smell is amazing but sadly the performance was only slightly better and on its own this last maximum an hour
