Tam Dao Limited Edition

One told me this smells like a castle or a temple. I fully agree and experience the same. The wood notes carry this fragrance and create this delicious blend.

The opening is like 'pencil sharpener' for the first 15 minutes, then it settles down and smells as if you visit an old buddhist temple in Japan. It is very aromatic which may make you calm. The EDT is good, but the EDP has better performance and lasts longer. Go for the EDP if you can afford.

This fragrance smells very tranquil. The most prominent note on my skin is a creamy cypress sweetened with a rose accord. This duo note stay consistent from the beginning till the end. Woody notes start to emerge in the middle and various incense dot throughout the fragrance. I get a sense of green, but it’s such a balanced fragrance, I can’t label it as green. The reach is subtle perhaps to the elbow for a few hours, then I could smell my fragrance so it stayed more than a skin scent mostly. Not a compliment magnet, but I could people liked the calming effect. Unisex.

Too powerfully powdery for me, but I purchased Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée to layer with it and they pair really nicely. The vanilla grounds everything and takes this from an environmental scent that feels off as a perfume to a scent I actually want on my person. Overall, I’m happy to own this and I’m just sad I won’t get much wear in the coming spring and summer until it turns to fall again.

The top notes include Italian Cypress, Rose, and Myrtle; middle notes include Sandalwood and Cedar; and base notes include Palisander Rosewood, Amber, White Musk, and Spices. I'm madly in love with this flowery woody musk smell, which also performs well. Outstanding!
