Victresse

Victresse is a lovely, opulent scent with almost oriental undertones. Unfortunately, its drawback lies in its relatively quick fading.

Lol, this is just Scandalwood repackaged - a very synthetic sandalwood that I wouldn't like much except that it's a dead ringer for the first ever sandalwood incense I bought in my 20s and that got me started on my fragrance journey, so I enjoy the nostalgia. I have to assume the lack of Scandalwood references in the reviews below is just due to the reviewers not being familiar with that Heretic collaboration. If Scandalwood were discontinued, this would be a perfect replacement, but Scandalwood is still available. I would say that Scandalwood is preferable at the moment just because Heretic cleverly makes their scents available in travel sizes. On the other hand, the Victresse bottle is prettier, so.

Milky peppery sandalwood. Reminiscent of Noir by Night Atelier des Ors and Meander. For some reason, fragrances of this nature evoke an ambiance or interior setting in my mind, yet that doesn’t deter me from embracing and relishing them when worn. As mentioned by Dita Von Teese in her interviews, the Ritz unequivocally stands as her favored hotel in Paris. ✨

Reminds me of a dustier, weaker Encre Noire. Definitely unisex

Dita herself said how people kept asking her about Erotique - Erotique and her original scent, the ones she could completely create how she wanted. Now there is an answer. To me there are no significant differences to that unique boldness of Erotique. It has been, though not instantly, a major favourite of mine in those times when I feel friendly towards spicy-woody scents. When I find many to be too dense, sweet or sticky, this has a dry, uplifting but warm unisex appeal. Since the other ones are more new to me I tried them out more, but Victresse was the most intense scent of the three, though they are no beasts to be found and none of them is overbearing. Also, all three layer really well combined with each other in various ways. In my current rosey phase I mainly layer Vedette with the other two plus the rest of my autumn wardrobe. For possible blind-buyers who care about packaging: I adore this cool dark green shade in particular. The rather heavy bottles feel high quality to me, as do the thick silky tassels, which are much longer than in the current picture by the way; looks great and is well attached. The nicely rounded cap of mattified plastic has a lighter moderate weight and sits perfectly on all my three bottles.

Smells like Ritz hotel in Paris : carpets, heavy curtains, wooden floors, tapestries; - all sprayed with their signature interior perfume.

Almost identical to her discontinued fragrance Erotique. I get compliments every single time I wear it. A masterpiece!

This is fabulous! Does it remind anyone else of SJP's STASH, or just me? smells nearly identical on my skin.
