L'etre Aime Femme

First spray is fruity and juicy and bright golden - lots of nectarine - but in a very high quality french perfume nectarine - not a designer perfume on high street fruit- then the floral aspect comes in- I definitely get a slightly spicy lily & some jasmine - but ultimately this is a honeyed immortelle with some summer flowers in the breeze. it really smells like a late summer golden sunset on the beach. The immortelle has a slight saltiness that accentuates this as a seaside musky scent - the vetiver is light handed here to my nose - it prevents the immortelle from veering too far into maple territory - it forces the immortelle to smell as it does in nature - woody and sweet, drying in the sun along the saltwater coast. I think this is very sexy indeed. Longevity is fantastic -it lasts for hours - the sillage is huge for the first 30 minutes but once it settle it projects about a half arms length or less and even as skin scent it hums about 3 inches from the skin. I am going to order more samples from this house. Very high quality fragrance happening here.

The Beloved Woman...mmm, gorgeous scent that demands attention. Utterly Divine! I love this warm, uplifting scent, it makes me feel happy. It starts off dazzlingly sunny with a burst of floral citrus notes and sun-ripened nectarine dripping with juicy sweetness, followed by a radiant heart of mediterranean bouquet of lush white flowers accented with the deep honey-caramel note of tiny immortelle blooms(I love immortelle, love the golden bitter caramel scent of it!)...the dry-down is earthy, sweet and subtly musky like the warm scent of the earth gently cooling off in the evening...a bit sexy... This is my pick-me-up scent whenever I'm a bit in the dark and need some golden sunshine....oh yes, it's elegant golden sunshine I'm talking about here...not the Clinique Happy fun yellow sunshine :)

A masterpiece.Heady, rich, gothic,opulent white florals, resinous nectars of gold amber, sweet jasmine, narcotic tuberose, aphrodisiac, luxurious.I love it as a man, smells soooo good.... no relation with Rochas Femme or Youth Dew...... @PerfumedParrot I don't think you have smelled the perfume or you smelled the wrong sampler containing an Arabic perfume or God knows what.... L'etre Aime Femme does't smell like spicy curry leaf or fenugreek comming out of armpits. I own a full bottle, you don't, so I know what I am talking about . Your comment misleads people to decide or not to buy the perfume. Unfortunately,people have the right to deliberately spread blatant lies and false narratives as comments concerning anything on social media and so is your comment.

L’Etre Aime Femme is the sister fragrance of L’Etre Aime Homme, also based around the maple-syrup resinous note of immortelle. It opens with elegant aldehydic amber, and quickly becomes a musky, moody veil of immortelle. Like L’Etre Aime Homme, this isn’t a sweet or bubbly amber but a romantic brooding one. around the outside of the scent, though, and growing with time, there’s an aura of sweet juicy peachy fruit and heady florals. It’s celestially beautiful in an old-fashioned, hyperfeminine, almost bridal way. It’s saved from being a “generic” fruity-floral by the intersection between the nectarine-and-flowers and the moody immortelle, which gives it a more autumnal maturity. The drydown is a delicate, mellow peachy amber with a dusky glow. All the Divine scents I’ve tried so far are of exquisite quality. The original, Divine Eau de Parfum, is still my favorite, but its warmer, fruitier sister L’Etre Aime Femme is lovely.

A fruity floral fragrance. I can smell everlasting flower, nectarine and wood. Very feminine, more for spring and summer, you need to love everlasting flower which is the star of the scent. 6/10

Oh God no. Why am I getting a spicy curry leaf scent? It’s like then you eat something containing methi leaves (fenugreek) and it comes out of your armpits 1-2 days after eating it during a fitness class. Pure fenugreek unisex spice *sneezes

Off Balance...” This is the first tested of my Divine Sample Coffret. I received the version for men as well, but this version appealed more. First off, the opening of this fragrance is quite fresh, and appealing. As well as the bergamont, the nectarine note is very noticable, and blends very well with the neroli. I really enjoyed the opening, and it didn't fade quickly, but drifted in to the middle notes nice and slow. Then I started to detect a salty note..perhaps the immortelle flowers, as they can portray a slightly salty note, to me anyway). I couldn't really pick up a lot of jasmine or the rose to be honest, as the immortelle was always at the forefront. After about an hour, I started to notice a whiff of smoke...very light, but a definite smokey tinge. This was also quite nice, and put a warm sort of edge to the fragrance. Then the whole thing was more or less thrown off balance...by the arrival of vetiver! This ruined the dry down for me, and unbalanced the whole fragrance. It just doesn't fit in the equation! It seems to somewhat cheapen the whole effect. If they had just left out this note, the sandalwood, amber, and touch of vanilla would have been a lovely ending.

An absolute shame members need to attack others over a subjective experience, privileging theirs as objective/undeniably correct. Immortelle absolute can indeed smell like curry - and hence sweat to some who interpret dry spices of a sort like body odour. Not everyone will pick that up, and instead may experience another olfactory facet of immortelle. When I owned the original version, the nectarine and a dry curryish/body odour immortelle were prominent on my skin (I like the latter very much when I encounter it, such as the discontinued McQueen Kingdom or some Diptyque's original archive scents). However, Divine has rather unfortunately decided to remake this scent - not reformulate, but a completely new unisex version, replacing the male and female originals (no longer for sale) which take out the nectarine, add notes like coriander seed and pink peppercorn. So there really needs to be three listings for this scent now, marking the differences between versions.

The immortelle and nectarine combination create a scent that brings to mind an old wardrobe or chest of antique clothing. Definitely a vintage vibe on this one. Reminded me ever so slightly of the spiced fruity mustiness of Rochas Femme.
