L'homme Accompli

L'Homme Accompli is another great masculine offering from this consistently excellent house. Like other Divine masculines, it is nothing groundbreaking, but is a great, high-quality take on its scent profile. HA is a leather scent; its leather note smooth and refined, complemented to perfection by other, well-chosen notes in supporting roles. HA is leather-dominant from initial spray, a suede-like note that is smooth and rich yet lightweight. Some powdery violet joins it up top, a match made in heaven. Some bergamot adds freshness, melding nicely with the leather-violet accord. As it develops, soft, dry woods emerge, melding nicely with the leather, causing HA to become increasingly dry as a result. Some savoury spice complements it nicely. The amber base slowly develops in the background. It is smooth and resinous with a touch of ambergris-esque salt, tying everything together beautifully - a perfect if predictable development of the leather accord. It fades to a dry, woody-musky skin scent. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is a transeasonal masculine-leaning scent, well-blended and satisfying. A high-quality, utterly elegant take on a leather scent, HA is beautifully-composed and very versatile for a scent of its profile. It is like a more refined Fahrenheit - smooth and realistic-smelling throughout in place of any synthetic harshness. It is impossible to choose a favourite Divine masculine. Excellent. 4.5/5.

I tried this cologne with my husband. He did not understand at all why the perfume needed the smell of shoes, even if they were new and expensive leather shoes. This perfume caused a fit of nostalgia for my childhood. This is exactly how my childhood leather summer sandals and my father's shoes smelled. I imagined an autumn walk in new boots. The background to these shoes in the cologne is very pleasant: it is a watercolor haze, slightly violet. It is impossible to understand whether it is spring or autumn, and a faint aroma of feminine perfume is wafting nearby.

This is such a smooth, well blended leather scent. This I would say is a toned down version of Fahrenheit, but I prefere l'homme accompli. The leather is smooth and a little watery from the violet leaf and with a smooth woody resinous backbone.

I agree with the below review. There's something in Fahrenheit that gives me a headache, maybe the violet leaf, and it's missing in this one. Overall, calmer than Fahrenheit, without the "gasoline" accord.

Very smooth leather, violet and citrus mix. Quite gorgeous and wearable. Accomplished is probably referring to the main leather note, just like a fancy car

Ah the dry down of this actually goes into something even more refined and natural smelling than Fahrenheit. This is really really good

L’Homme Accompli opens with extremely dry, pale cedar, which begins to be softened by an equally dry, powdery, silvery violet. Within minutes there’s more going on; a smoky leather and occasional glints of ambered citrus. Finally, L’Homme Accompli settles into a very sheer, very dry, dark leather. Refined but aloof, very much like L’Etre Aime Homme except built around smoky leather rather than dry woods and immortelle. L’Homme Accompli is the wintry Northern brother, brooding his way through dark city streets and icy skies. The kind of guy who, as they say, makes you feel it would be an impertinence to like him. To be honest, it’s not my favorite; it’s very faint, in a very common minimalist style, and the things that make it distinctive (that pale-gray cedar-and-violet combo) also make it chilly and remote. But, as always with Divine, it’s a well executed instance of class.

I found this very faint, just can't make much of it at all. I'll give sample to a friend and see if his experience is similar

This is a good choice for a fragrance to be worn at the office. Amongst the prominent notes, I find the violet to shine and the vetiver/styrax/woods combined end up giving more of a seed quality (caraway or cumin) that is as strong as any of the leather accord. The citruses make it upbeat and the woods keep it dry. When visiting France, my sister discovered this perfume brand and she being a big vetiver fan suggested I try this one. It's not as complex as some of the smokier colognes I am drawn to, but projection and sillage are good. The presentation is classy with a refillable metallic spray bottle whose soft copper color go well with the general vibes this fragrance creates.

L'homme Accompli by the lovely house of Divine. This is a very well made and well balanced leather scent. The leather is supported by violet and a sweet resinous combination. The overall scent in the dry down is very smooth and beautiful. I see it is compared to Fahrenheit but this is smoother, somewhat muted, and more polished to my nose. I'd like to add Ombre Leather in the discussion here. On my skin I like the smell of L'homme Accompli better. Overall I like the scent, it's a little weak on my skin which can fixed by spraying it a bit more. The scent is versatile and can be worn for different occasions except when it is too hot out there.
