L'Infante

L'Infante is an airy, lightweight white floral, green-tinged and fresh without using aldehydes. At first sniff, I was sure I got lily-of-the-valley, but it is not among the listed notes. This muguet-like effect is likely achieved by the clean jasmine alongside the green notes. It is aptly-named, very clean and innocent - a May Day scent. L'Infante opens with sheer green notes, imbuing this scent with dewy freshness. The jasmine follows closely, clean, bright and slightly soapy, complemented to perfection by the light, leafy greens. It smells quite realistic - this is not detergent-like despite its clean brightness. The ylang ylang is uncharacteristically muted, but adds some body and sweetness to the floral heart as it develops. The more aquatic peony makes its presence felt as this scent progresses, its delicate sweetness a lovely progression from the fresh jasmine of the opening. Some muted, powdery vanilla adds some sweetness in the later stages, but it is very restrained. It becomes cleanly musky as it fades, soft and delicate until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate, and it is a feminine spring/summer daytime scent. A delicate, fresh green-tinged white floral, L'Infante is a subtly beautiful everyday scent, elegant and innocent in equal measure. 4/5.

Agree with dalmajen this is a feminine classy frag with a nod to yesteryear without smelling dated. Full white florals tempered with ivy and a non syrupy black currant. Smells fresh too like being in a green garden with these flowers dripping in dew. I don't like florals but I'm drawn to this. Feels like a special occasion scent. I can live without it but one day ehem I have money to burn, if ever, I might buy a bottle.

A white bouquet in a bottle. Jasmine is the star of the scent. Very delicate and elegant, it is a timeless fragrance. I can smell white flowers with a touch of green and ylang ylang. More feminine, but do what you want. To my opinion, it is perfect for spring. Fresh, it is a pure floral perfume. Office compatible, nice also for a date, a wedding, etc. 7/10

A lovely innocent bouquet of flowers. Quickly dries down to a lotion like soft skin scent. I think this would be a great choice for a wedding scent.

Very aldehyde-forward at first in a way that I don't really love. It also smells like a clean diaper or baby wipes to me, which doesn't smell bad but is not what I would want to pay to smell like. Those aldehydes stick around for quite some time, but they back off a little after a few minutes to let some heavier white florals through. This is very floral to me and I think I get some of the ivy and cassis bud, though those are just background players to the floral notes. I don't get any of the warm notes like amber, vanilla, or tonka; it's perhaps a little musky. I don't hate it, but I don't love it and I don't think I'll be finishing my sample. 6.5/10.

There is indeed a Nivea style scent to this! It’s an ultra feminine and soft floral skin-type scent. There’s almost a Chloe Nomade vibe to this. Pretty but too feminine, delicate, innocent and unassuming for me.

As the reviewers below me suggested, L’Infant is definitely a retro-feel fragrance. Without looking at the notes, I get a green and fresh opening followed by a (surprisingly powdery!) white floral heart that leads to a soft finish. Projection was close and lasting power carried me to the 5 hour mark. The notes were so expertly blended that not a single one stood out for me, giving an impression of innocence and understated elegance. Reminds me of my grandmother who used to wear Bourjois Evening in Paris before switching to Acqua di Gio. I still keep a reformulated bottle for nostalgia and smelling them side-by-side, they are indeed similar. Highly recommended for those who prefer gentle but classic florals that leave a delicate trail.

Old School, recaptured... This is one of those fragrances that recaptures the past. I have reviewed a few other Divine fragrances, from my lovely sample pack. I had stored it away, and decided to revisit these lovely scents. This seems, to my nose anyway) to be an old fashioned floral, without the aldehydes). It opens with the Jasmine, which remains throughout the whole wearing, mixes nicely with the other notes, but keeps the jasmine and ylang ylang vibe going strong. The black currant leaf is not too detectable, it just seems to give the bouquet a nice touch. No chance of this feeling like some fruity, sweet concoction! I would go as far to say that this is a perfumey perfume. But, not a brash, or blaring fragrance. It could be the peony that gives it an old fashioned feel. I have worn this for two days now, to get the atmosphere of this fragrance. I think it's a very feminine fragrance, not heavy, or overbearing, but a gentle, old school bouquet of flowers.

I received a carded sample free with another purchase. It had not leaked, but the scent had clearly evaporated a bit, and imbued itself on the packaging. Man - just that card filled my space with a blast of white-flower-decadence that was enough to make my head swirl. I had a very brief headrush/ headache feeling and sneezed too! I am scared but I am intrigued. And I love the name!

I think Divine is a wonderful french maison with parfumes of hight quality!The one I prefer is l'Enfante, a vey comfortable, smooth, transparent parfume which becomes minute after minute so similar to the skin scent....It makes me think to the l'Eau d'Hiver by Malle....I suggest it for summer and spring time...a must try!

I just received my Divine sample pack and this and L’Inspiratrice are my favs. I do wish their samples were sprays but the presentation is nice. To me this does smell a bit like Allure-a brighter and I think sweeter (less austere) Chanel Allure. And for me, it’s easier to wear.
