Spirituelle

Spirituelle is a pleasant spicy-amber-rose scent, good-quality and nicely-balanced. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, the remarkable thing about this scent is that it manages to feature a lightweight, dewy rose note alongside the spicy-amber accord. I find that rose scents are usually one thing or the other, so Spirituelle is perhaps more wearable for people who prefer subtler perfume while showcasing a nice example of a classic accord. Spirituelle is initially boozy and spicy, yet lightweight, with pink pepper paving the way to the rose that follows. The rose blooms on my skin after a little while, marrying nicely with the peppery opening. The rose is green and dewy up top without being thin or harsh, with geranium adding some fresh greenness and spice - the perfect addition to the opening. The rose becomes powdery and sweet as it develops, petal-like, but still sheer. The sweet amber undertone slowly develops as this scent progresses, adding a honeyed quality to the rose while remaining fairly light. It becomes sweetly musky as it dries down, with the amber accord becoming smoothly balsamic at the later stages, complementing the rose to perfection. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is unisex in a Middle Eastern manner, and can be worn day-to-night, year-round, unusually versatile for a scent of its profile. Beautifully-composed and nicely-balanced throughout, Spirituelle is a lovely example of its genre, set apart by its subdued beauty. I typically prefer rich scents, but Spirituelle is utterly satisfying throughout. Refined and elegant, this is a beauty. 4.5/5.

How to describe a classical masterpiece? And why should this simple beauty should be called "classical" at all? Is she worth the praises I am ready to give her? Looking for the perfect rose scent, I met her on a warm summer evening. She was fruity and juicy then, honeyed and bathed with liquid amber. Since my skin envolves spicy and woody notes quite well, I also get the peppery notes. Thank god, not the kind of pepper on dinner plates, but in the kind of indian spiced tea. Her smell just fit that golden summery sunset. Day after, I could still smell her on the shirt - but oops!, what was left there just smelled like Rose Goldea. This is also a beautiful rose, that I own from time to time, maybe a little more woody. So I had to ask myself: Hello, you know you can buy Bvlgari Rose Goldea half price on sale - do you really need then the Divine perfume also, even if it's more expensive? I did. Although its formula seems to be kept even simpler than the one of Rose Goldea, Spirituelle is smoother, better rounded, nether harsh, just liquid amber rose ready to draw you in - while you keep your mind up to the stars. This is not loud, you might call it even boring - but it is just plain perfect, perfect like a piece of antique greek art: Harmonious, well balanced, smooth and serious. I am a classical women. I needed it in my collection for sure, becauce it kept things that simple. A beauty that is strong enough to play it calm and patient.

I sampled this perfume at the Divine boutique while I was in Bordeaux shortly after it debuted in November 2014. I took the sample home with me and completely fell in love. The next time I was in Bordeaux, I bought a 100 mL bottle, and shortly after that a refillable flacon. I am addicted to this perfume and it has become my "regular" scent It is a mellow rose, leaning toward the fruity end of floral and is made warm with the musky/amber notes with a definite note of spice. Despite this it is not at all "heavy". It has good sillage without ever being overpowering. It is an ageless scent that would be equally appropriate on a young or older woman. I will buy more every time I am in France - I cannot imagine running out! I would encourage a try even if you don't think you like rose scents. This is a very approachable rose and a great all-occasion perfume. It is a shame that the Divine fragrance house perfumes are not more accessible in the US. Update 2021 - I have literally gone through bottles of this stuff. I have been more varied in my scent wardrobe lately, but this is still my #1 go-to - the scent by which I measure all others. I don't get to France as often, so I am just going to have to pay ship costs for this and L'Inspiratrice because I am hopelessly addicted.

Wonderful modern scent with a classic aura. This brand aims at defending the art of perfumery with a serious attitude more in the direction of art than making money. I hope they continue this way. I blindly bought L'Ame Soeur and I am enthusiast. Apart from the scent (see my review) I was stunned by the care they put in service, in wrapping the bottle, in the attention to shipping service (and low shipping costs!). A firm like this deserves full attention. The scent now. Spirituelle is gorgeous, it's fresh, flowery, intense. If you are a reader of my reviews you will have learnt that I like contradictory perfumes and Spirituelle in my opinion is one. It makes you feel elegant and sophisticated without detracting simplicity which is the Very Base of elegance and good taste. The red pepper adds a hue of sparkle making you feel chic but not too formal. If L'Ame Soeur is a lady going to a premiere at the opera, Spirituelle is the same lady going to Ascot Premier Admission. The first elegant in her evening gown, the second impeccable in her headpiece.

This perfume should get more love and recognition. It's incense to my nose, and yes it's rosey - but the more you wear it the more you will love it. It smells more complex than the notes indicate as I get hints of tobacco and even leather in the incense. Never cloying,strident or tedious. Like a pair of shoes you like and buy and then discover thru repeated wearings, "Hey, these look really good, and somehow they go with everything - and they are comfortable!"

Oh my GOODNESS! I have been searching for a year for a scent similar to Stella Rose Absolute that actually lasts with at least reasonable longevity. It looks as if I have FINALLY found it! I am thrilled! Thank you all for the review info enabling me to blind buy this at luckyscent. I am absolutely so happy to have found this! I will update this review as soon as I receive the perfume.

Update on review of last week: I can't BELIEVE it took me this long to find this beauty! This is exactly what I have been looking for in a scent. My Stella Rose Absolute and it's discontinuation got me on a mission to find it again, but with better longevity. FINALLY this the one! The ONE! Best feeling in the world!

Just amazing. Pepper blooms at the opening, then that perfect perfect pink rose. Just the most wonderful fragrance, perfect for me. Light, but still warm.

Il m'a été offert pour mes cinquante ans le 17 juin dernier.... Et oui ! tout passe même (surtout ) la jeunesse... Bon allez je vais pas vous raconter ma vie... Alors sur ma peau c'est un étonnant sosie de Baiser Volé de Cartier. J'écris étonnant parce que Spirituelle révèle une bien meilleure senteur de lys que Baiser Volé qui est sensé être un parfum de lys ! Chez spirituelle je découvre un parfum léger et délicieux d'un lys éclatant de blanc au soleil. Pas lourd du tout, légèrement poudré. Puis vient une rose légère aussi associée à un ambre. Et c'est là que le bât blesse !! Moi qui suis une inconditionnelle d'ambre qui donne un petit côté oriental à un parfum, là, je ne reconnais pas l'ambre qui a été utilisée et ma peau ne la fait pas ressortir. Est-ce la chaleur actuelle ? Est-ce ma peau (certainement) ? Ce parfum ne rempli pas toutes ses promesses. Délicieux parfum de nicheau demeurant, peut-être un peu trop cher pour un sosie d'un parfum de grande diffusion.

Aujourd'hui 27 juillet 2016 : toujours cette senteur divine (c'est bien le mot !) d'un lys léger et frais. Mais à mes narines l'ambre a disparu par rapport à l'an dernier. Par contre toujours cette rose légère et vraiment magnifique !! Une rose rouge un peu citronnée associée au musc !! Whaou ! La super classe ! Ma peau réagit différemment par rapport à l'an dernier. Je n'en ai pas mis depuis ma dernière application et j'ai perdu quelques kilos aussi... Peut-être que ma peau ne fait plus ressortir l'ambre que j'avais décelé à la première application... Peu importe ! C'est vraiment un parfum très très réussi.

What an interesting rose! There's a nostalgic, vintage-like quality to it that I absolutely love. I imagine Josephine Baker would wear something like this. The rose here leans a little talc-ish (think Cabbage Patch Doll), but it works so well with the geranium and peppers (which are muted here but still present). Unfortunately, the dry down gets a little stuffy with the cedar and amber. I'm just devastated about this because I think the opening of this perfume is near perfect.

Spirtuelle is like the ghost of a rose. It haunts me. It's light and airy. Sometimes it is present and other times I can't smell it at all. It lingers. It sneaks up on me around the corner and sticks a rose bud under my nose, just when I thought it had been exorcised. It whispers. Sprituelle actually means "marked by a refined and witty nature". This is definitely that. Refined, elegant, and surprising.

Lovely and subtle. I mostly pick up the powdery notes right from the get go, but after a while a generally "floral" aura emerges. I find it difficult to pick out the individual notes in this scent - I don't get rose in any way - but I love the softly spicy, powdery impression that it leaves behind.

This fragrance is, to me, a true rose scent, beautifully complemented by incense and a generous dose of warmth. There is also a subtle amber note that adds depth and richness. I notice a hint of pepper only at the very beginning, but it quickly gives way to a cozy, enveloping, and alluring rose.

A musky, peppery, ambery, floral that’s reminiscent of Stella Rose Absolute in its thin and delicate rosie-hairspray style. Fine but not my favourite in the range.

This is gorgeuous! Got the sample pack and am working my way thro them all. Spirituelle is a sweet feminine rose/tea perfume. Its got big sillage and lasts and lasts. It opens with a sweet floral note and quickly morphs into a rose beauty and I'm not overfussed on rose as such. After an hour or so it settles into a warm ambery slightly spicy fragrance that is lovely. I'm not sure I'd buy the full bottle as my favourites from this line are Divine and L'ame Soeur which are both totally sublime! Will definately be buying fb's of both the above. I'd not heard of this company until fairly recently but they do an excellent online sample service....it came beautifully wrapped in a fabulous box with a card index of each perfume (10)all wonderfully presented. Could even be a lovely present for a perfumaholic like me!

Divine Spirituelle is an ambery rose with some fruity notes and slightly musky dry-down. It is indeed similar to Stella Rose Absolute (not Stella original). Since Stella Rose Absolute is discontinued, you might want to get Divine Spirituelle instead.

Rose, musk and pepper. Excellent for all seasons and all occasions. For rose lovers for sure. Feminine, timeless, elegant, I like it! 9/10
