Hindi Tabac

I'm not sure why this offering from Dixit & Zak has received almost no attention from reviewers. This is another example of what might be called a police round up of the usual suspects with a few rarer notes thrown in (Marigold and Mitti Attar). If you are thinking this is another TF like tobacco oud scent you would be quite mistaken. The Ouds here are the stars and it is far more floral, especially the rose notes), and fruity too (mandarin orange, black currant, and lime). It is long lasting with good to strong silage. As an earlier review has stated, this is more of an Oud scent than a tobacco scent, which is fine by me. It leans masculine and could be worn in any season, but maybe not the best office scent. I quite like this House overall and very much recommend trying a sample of this one.

This house has been growing on me and I've reached a point where no other oud based perfumes match up. My first buy was emperors court, followed by Santal Oud, Oud Rosa, Ghaliya Hind and the most recent being Hindi Tabac. Hindi Tabac has a Shockingly good opening... Bitter citrus tobacco with black currant. The fragrance is so well blended that it gets difficult for me to tell notes apart. I found the oud to be very well settled, which I infer comes from an aged oud. Given the name, I was expecting the oud to be animalic and skanky, but that is not the case for me... No skank here. This one is a solid winner.

Doesn't take long to get to the animalic dry down. Not real loud but persistent. Best smelled in the air and not right up on it. Just received it today so that's an initial thought.

Finally got my nose on this. This really should be called Hindi Oud instead of Hindi Tobac. This will shine if you're much into oud; smells like a vintage record store to me. It does a great job at that, BUT I WANT TOBACCO!! The house should also be called Fixit&Back because they need to fix and reformulate this, so that it goes back - in stock; ready for consumers to not be lead astray again! For those of you looking to experience this scent without breaking the bank, this 30ML full bottle of hindi tabac will be on my swap list if anybody is interested!
