Yellow Lemon Tree

Refreshing and light, yet has depth and intrigue. The citrus and civet in the opening are WOW. The florals, vetiver, sandalwood, and castoreum in the dry down provide a smooth and luxurious experience. This all-natural beauty is something to behold. Best summer "freshie" I've ever put my nose on, to date. Pretty sure the downvote came from a bitter procrastinator that can no longer source a bottle. You can't expect a small artisanal brand using ingredients of this caliber to produce Chanel-level stock. Bravo Dixit & Zak! Looking forward to Rising Mysore 3 when it arrives :)

Refreshing but sensual and musky at the same time, the traditional D&Z DNA is present. A lemony 🍋 chypre with a lovely musky civet dry down coupled with hints of white florals. The civet used here is of superb quality. Longevity is about 6 hours for with several heavy sprays, the atomiser is very powerful and gives very nice distribution, overspraying this is key. This a versatile enough for all types of weather and occasions. I would definitely purchase another bottle and I'm quite a way through my first! 9/10

A pleasant citrus forward scent designed as an Oriental Chypre. The scent opens with a flurry of citruses with a prominent lemon note but in the opening are also hints of lavender and civet. The heart is mostly jasmine with hints of ylang and ginger. The perfume dries to a powdery base of mostly cedar and sandal wood but also hints of vetiver, olibanum and pronounced castoreum giving it a slight animalic undertone. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate projection and longevity. Even though the scent has many ingredients listed, it is the citrus that dominates the scent from start to finish. This is an easy recommendation for a natural summer scent - not too generic, not particularly edgy. Enjoy!

Quite a surprising scent, given the pyramid/ingredients listed... Starts of with a skanky citrus -- the civet is quite pronounced, and as the scent settles, the cedar-sandalwood combo adds a refined, smooth element to the experience, overall. I'm gonna give this more of a concentrated trial soon, to really see where it goes and how it performs, but so far, so good. I'm impressed!

Lemons and civet is really all I get throughout the life of the fragrance. While I think this has a good dose of civet, I don't think it's horrifyingly overbearing as it maintains good balance and keeps the lemons from being monotonous. Very good! Update: Now there is s brand new 2023 version but it is unknown if it's the same formulation

Look me in the eye, and with a straight face, tell me you did not dribble a minute droplet of off-brand lemon extract into a bottle of embalming fluid and sell it as niche perfumery with a price tag of nearly $300. I'll wait. Oh, what's that you say? There's also a hint of acetone in this composition as well? I see. Hm.
