Devotion Pour Homme Parfum

A truly captivating fragrance, with well-crafted notes, smooth and without rough edges, yet distinctive enough to spark curiosity. I preferred this flanker’s profile, as the coffee note is seamlessly blended into the main accord, playing a synergistic role rather than overpowering it. There’s a subtle sweetness, restrained projection, and a very pleasant drydown. Highly versatile for mid-season wear, elegant yet inviting. Although I usually lean towards fragrances with stronger performance, this one won me over thanks to its distinctive character within a solar / “light gourmand” / “coastal” style. In regular use, it stands out for its pleasantness and lightness, with a captivating, well-balanced profile. Longevity is noticeable for around 6 hours, after which it turns into a very subtle “skin scent.”

This is a clean smell but very masculine. You get some kind of smoky lavender. Giving it that versatility for day and night. Coffee is on the notes but it does not come through at all. Also a woody scent is precent that just rounds it all together. Overall great perfume sadly it does not perform. It does great on clothes but in skin 2 hours max this is a fragrance you would re apply through out the day. Not a loud fragrances either so people won’t really smell you unless you over spray. Overall it’s great I recommend if you get a deal as a full price fragrance maybe not too much just because of the performance.

Εννοείται με το που το μύρισε μπήκε ταμείο έχει μια μεγάλη ιδιαίτεροτητα με τον συνδυασμό πιπέρι και καφέ και το κάνει ένα άρωμα αξιοζήλευτο. Στο δικό μου δέρμα κράτα πάνω από πέντε ώρες και το sillage του είναι καλό προς πολύ καλό για κάποιον που θέλει ένα περίεργο άρωμα οχι γνωστό το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.

Scent is objective but this seems to be getting a lot of negative reviews and my only question is WHY? It’s definitely more unique compared to the average sh!t that is put out nowadays. It’s fresh with a bit of coffee, sweet without being too heavy. I absolutely love this one. I’m going to seek out the Akro fragrance now that I heard this kind of smells like it. This is the first D&G I’ve actually liked since The One Luminous Night. Projection and longevity are just average but not everything has to be nuclear.

Where do I even get started with this fragrance. Dolce&Gabbana Devotion parfum is my favorite fragrance of all time. From the coffee and woods to the luscious lavender scent in it. This is a perfect scent for really all occasions and gets you compliments galore. Overall Devotion parfum in my opinion is the best cologne that Dolce&Gabbana has ever released. 10/10 must buy!

Dumb reach , if you have a collection that is , but if this is your first time buying and you need an all rounder , it’s for you. I’m having a hard time imagining who this scent profile could offend. For those in the know, Olivier Cresp saved the line with this introduction. There’s hope for a parfum or elixir even.

this is definitely a more well-rounded and versatile flanker of rhe OG the edp is for date night the parfum is day time or even night I love the way Mr Cresp created those 2, very close to each other but still bring you the something and unique the best from Dolce and far best from current cloying sweet scents

I hated the EDP. It smelled like someone had dropped coffee on themselves and it just sat and marinated. This Parfum is a beautiful scent. The coffee in this one is well blended with the lavender and vanilla. The top citrus note is very pleasant. Definitely signature scent worthy.

Don't care what the naysayers say, I'm enjoying this and I am not usually into amberwood focused scents. The coffee and citrus give it a twist. I also enjoy the EDP, but that one is probably more divisive while this one is more mass appealing. Both bring something to the table.

I don’t really like the EDP. This flanker beat EDP scent so hard, it starts to grow on me despite my previous ignorance. It has subtle coffee scent so don’t expect any bold or photorealistic one. Perfect for office wear.

I am so glad that finally this gets more and more attentions and being the best-seller in Vietnam more well-received than the EDP I love it everytime I wear and my top1 of ALL TIME

I love this one, it's underrated IMO. This Parfum is a great fall scent just like the EDP.

I love the scent but wish it would last and project more.

I'm a woman. Oh that's nice! It has absolutely nothing to do with the OG. This is actually pleasant, very masculine and old school without it being old or vintage. Aromatic, resinous, with a dense body. No lemon or the nasty coffee grounds the og has (they really messed up with the coffee note). Great! An easy grab. I love the bottle, too. I'd like my man to smell like this! 8/10 Update: On my father's skin Mom: 10/10, Dad: 10/10 and I agree. It survived work, sweating in the sun AND after taking a shower 🚿. Wow. I didn't expect that. It doesn't project much, though. It projects, but not as much as the Givenchy society and the society amber, too. Please test it on skin!!! 😍

I tried it a few months ago and IMO was too sweet and generic, so I just skip and took the EDP. So, I tried it again today and idk what happened but I was much more weak that I remember. I think I’m loosing the sensitivity for smooth ambers, and it happened with SWY Amber as the same. I compared side by side with Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDT and it was 10x more strong. It’s sad because you can find the Devotion Parfum nowadays for around $50 for a tester bottle but it was a flaw, even for a good price like that. EDIT: I bought lol.

D&G Devotion Parfum is quite a departure from the EDP - and that is a good thing, in my opinion. Smelling this is like a subtle admission that the EDP was a mistake The new Parfum rides on much more familiar roads than its predecessor. If this parfum came from a (dark) blue bottle, I wouldn’t bat an eye. I appreciate its unwavering masculinity and though I wrote that this fragrance travels on familiar road, I could characterize this as a dumb reach with better than average depth and personality. 4/5

Lo primero que me recordó fue a un perfume de farmacia de la línea Piero Butty, color plateado, si no mal recuerdo. Pero no lo vi como algo malo, sino como algo genérico en la salida, solo unos cinco segundos. Luego puedo notar esa nota de café tipo Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo, pero mucho más aromático y menos cálido, tipo mezcla con Jean Paul Gaultier Le Parfum. Es un perfume bueno, agradable de oler. Sí, es como esa onda de JeanPaul Gaultier Le Parfum-Armani Code con café. 8 de 10.

Tried the EDP, loved it to death, accidently bought the parfum. Did not hate it, the lavender and vanilla blend really well together, but i would rather smell this on a soft natured, kind woman than myself. Very inviting but not in the way i am, more in a way a girlfriend's embrace is. The coffee is very much in the background and you mostly only get its sweetness unlike the edp. Great scent, just not on me.

When I first sampled this, I was expecting the same coffee forward fragrance as the EDP just more concentrated. Well, that is definitely not the case. The coffee is light and blended in to where its barely perceptible. It is not creative, just a nice scent. Unoffensive, pleasant, and lasts a decent amount of time. Don't believe the 'smells like' recommendations that are coffee fragrances.

It took a few times smelling this to really understand it. I think it was a risk for D&G but it works in the strangest way. Lavender, lemon, coffee, vanilla, it's sweet and airy not too thick. It's a very unique fragrance and I'd be happy to own a bottle. I'd say it's in the same family as Green Stravaganza by Valentino (uomo) with a sweet fruity coffee that's well balanced.

This does remind me a lot of Eros. Which I like but hardly wear because it’s too loud for the office for me. Devotion is much more mature and subtle. I think it’s underrated. I do not smell coffee at all. Just lemon and amber woods. I’m enjoying wearing it. It’s generic but still has a unique twist to it.

Honestly don't understand the hate behind this fragrance. My only complaint is that I wish it smelled a bit more masculine, and that the longevity is slightly underwhelming for a Parfum, but overall the scent is great, easy to wear, just doubt it would go well in high summer heat.

This smells very similar to Chanel allure homme sport eau extreme drydown after 20 minutes. Barely pick up on the coffee at all. It smells decent. Reviews are definitely crazy negative for no good reason. Its a fine scent if you like a spicy vanilla profile like Chanels AHSEE.

It's a very general, nice scent; nothing special. Let me make an analogy: it smells like Versace Eros with a mature profile, with toned down apple and mint notes.

whoever said smells like eros hit the nail on the head. the cypress has to be giving that minty smell. probably what they use in eros

Sweet citrus masculine scent. A bit basic. My nose doesn't really catch the coffee note.

This one is much more in-line with other designer houses. A pretty significant departure from its predecessor, which had a very tart lemon opening and a good amount of coffee in the mid and dry-down. More niche-style, less Macy's friendly. That's what we all want, right? Apparently not according to the reviews. This new parfum is clearly a flanker, but it has none of the sharp-edged nature that the EDP has, but in this case it actually may work AGAINST the scent profile. Vanilla and amber are very noticeable, but they tend to generify the profile to the point that it becomes lifeless. No snap. No bite. Nothing, really. Many really disliked the EDP, and I think I did too at first. Each time I revisit it, though, it grows on me a little. This parfum flanker lacks identity. The OG has a lot of character. At least you won't offend anyone with this, as it doesn't seem to be a good performer. I've gone through about 10ml so far, and the most I can get is a few hours. My skin tends to eat fragrances, though, so it will probably be better for other people. Try it, though. Get a sample and wear it a bit. All this shit I write is just my opinion, but I try to look at it from multiple angles.

Well despite being much better than the EDP and can be a viable options for some coffee dates, I didn't find this interesting. It is dry, woody-minty (cypress?) with a noticable vanilla woody base. Opening was uncharacteristic and to be honest a bit cheap in my opinion. It becomes better towards it's middle as I mentioned. It significanly lacks projection, but I'd argue that lasting power isn't that bad. With better price I'd say that this woud be better but in current market state I say this is fairly mediocre. Still you should try it out first if DNA sounds interesting and / or you love Green Stravagenza

@Forbiddenjade It's actually a new flanker. the original pour homme is EDP and this is the Parfum version. With added Lavander and woody-ambery notes. I liked the OG but not enough to buy a bottle yet. Maybe this one will convince me. But 6 or 7 months after the launch of the OG they came out with another one is crazy....

The OG is unique. Didnt convinced me yet, but its interesting. This is more "generic". Not bad per se, but just a Vanilla Woody lavender thing. No coffee detected. A more oriental version. Denser than the OG. But not better.

It's wearable. At least when first choking coffee minutes are gone)) Coffee notes are not my choice, but rest here is OK. I have a miniature, would use it, but wouldn't buy a full size bottle.

Disheartened buying this. Did not check much in the shop regarding the sillage and longevity both of which are disappointing.

Extremely generic after-shave type scent. I'm shocked at how poorly the listed notes translated into the actual scent.

NO. I don't understand the concept and I'm disappointed. Because the "devotion" line started well, the plain edt is very flavorful, but this. What is this? For me, this is a women's perfume, sorry, not even unixes. The first one was creative, and this one is a tasteless mess. Sorry, but as a man I can't wear it.

People who voted coffe probably havent smelled it. It's just a linear sweet lavender fragrance. At first I found the edp too sharp but since then it has grown on me, I dont think this will happen with this one. They killed the essence, probably because it didnt sell well.

@MIGGYMINAJ Both of them don’t perform at all. I spray them like 20-25 times and nobody can smell them.

This one is brand new. Macy’s opened a retail box to make me a tester. Too bad they had to do that, because this sucks. The EDP was cool, it was a light coffee and lemon fragrance that smelled very high quality and natural. This parfum version is not even identifiable as a sibling or even a cousin of the EDP. This is a stomach-churning amalgamation of all the sweet, cheap, sewage-scented synthetics you could imagine. I have this on my wrist right now and I honestly feel like I’m doing damage to my sinuses by exposing them to this junk. To an amateur teen nose this will probably smell great and get all the compliments, but to me this smells like rotting cabbage mixed with pure high fructose corn syrup. The coffee accord here is banal and shrill, likely the result of the perfumer mixing shower gel synthetics with Gourmande synthetics. You’re left with a fragrance that smells like a mix between sewage-scented blue hair gel and diabetic shock-inducing tiramisu sold at a Wawa. This fragrance is destined for the shelves of T.J.Maxx and Marshall’s. In fact, it smells exactly like the fragrance sections of those stores - pure chemical sludge and warm plastic. You know that overwhelming acidic kick of sucralose, preservatives, and food dye you get when you bite into a Twinkie? This is the fragrance equivalent of that

Gosh I've never been so grateful for poor longevity from a perfume. I wanted to stop smelling like this the second I put it on from opening to dry down

Devotion Pour Homme Parfum is a woody, spicy, and aromatic fragrance. In its opening, the coffee note is noticeable alongside other aromatic notes. In fact, this version is less citrusy than the Eau de Parfum; instead, it's more woody and aromatic. There are some green and woody cypress accords alongside aromatic lavender with coffee and licorice, and a light vanilla note that doesn't quite make the scent overly sweet. The aroma is most prominent in the first few minutes, but after that, it becomes olfactory blinding. However, the overall scent is pleasant. I find this fragrance suitable for use during autumn, winter, and spring, and it could even be worn in summer since it's not a sweet fragrance. It's appropriate for office work, casual outings, or personal enjoyment. In terms of longevity, it's not bad at all; it lasted me about 7 hours. However, its sillage is very faint, becoming noticeable only after 15 or 20 minutes. As I mentioned before, it also causes olfactory blindness because to distinguish the scent, you have to stop smelling it for a while and then approach the application area again. I wouldn't know if it's worth buying this fragrance (definitely not blindly). I liked the scent itself, but a fragrance with a Parfum concentration that can only be smelled by getting very close to where it was applied is disappointing.

its a good quality fragrance. it smells nice. it was still hugely disappointing as part of the Devotion line. I hadn't seen reviews on it yet, but Devotion and Devotion Intense are divine, airy lemony vanilla gourmands, and I was so excited at the possibility of a masculine gourmand when I got it as a free sample. But its just any other cologne bruh. like wow you're combining lavender and cypress? you're insane. no ones ever done that before. what an innovator. oh wow coffee too? in a men's fragrance? insanity. The only supposed resemblance to the original line is the lemon note, but instead of a sweet or gentle lemony vanilla, it is a sharp, "clean" lemon juice lemon. once again its very nice, but smells like a thousand other colognes. if you have something with similar notes (and if you own more than one cologne, then you probably do) you probably don't need to go out of your way for this one. beautiful bottle though

My knee jerk reaction to this is sadly a disappointing one.. Im actually in the camp that enjoyed the original. I didnt love it mind you, but it was different, and it actually did actually have a coffee smell to it which is appreciated since many times coffee fragrances dont actually remind me of coffee... Looking at the notes of this I was kinda excited but sadly let down. And my knee jerk reaction is to agree with the more negative reviews im seeing of saying it doesnt smell like coffee and is more generic smelling. Which sadly at first sniff im agreeing with... Doenst smell bad mind you, but right now let down. Ill have to come back to it again.

I received a mini bottle of this with a purchase of a full size bottle of Devotion (my all time favorite scent) and was excited to test it out for my husband. It’s pretty ok, definitely mass appealing with the lavender top note that comes off somewhat clean and soapy but I get almost no coffee and the dry down doesn’t seem to warm up much. It smells very generic which surprises me since the rest of the Devotion like is fairly unique. Husband said this “smells nice. Kind of old man” and I have to agree, this scent has definitely been done before though it isn’t bad by any means.

Super generic smelling. Typical lavender amber woods DNA found in so many men’s colognes out there. There’s also virtually no coffee that make the EDP interesting. Not surprised but still disappointed. Bottle looks gorgeous though, but the that’s a credit to the line and not exclusive to this flanker.
