Devotion

A beautiful sugary lemon gourmand that could be worn year round, but is ideal for spring and summer. It has thick custard texture that wears heavy. The orange blossom is well blended into the vanilla and citruses. The rum is very much in the background, it adds warmth without being overly boozy. This is a vanilla centric perfume. But the lemon penetrates into every note in Devotion and the vanilla is not an exception. I love this, but I do understand the criticism that says this smells like pledge. I do not get that. I get a romantic and addicting gourmand. Devotion is a 9/10 for me. But I do see how some individuals get cleaning products because of the strong linear lemon note that is unrelenting. For body care I love layering Devotion over ESO Vanilla Cashmere for a sugary crystalized candy base. I also love using Super Milk hair primer with Devotion, it’s fun and adds freshness. For perfume layering I love the following: Giardini de Toscana Bora Bora: I had a really hard time layering with Bora Bora, but then I accidentally tried it with Devotion, I fell in love. This combo was perfect. The creamy lemon, lactonic coconut, and bright ylang-ylang wore beautifully together. One of my favorite combos ever. Bath and Body Works Dressed in White: Lemony Gardenia. Smells like an outdoor wedding in June with gardenia center pieces and a freshy sliced lemon and vanilla 3 tiered cake. Ellis Brookyn Marshmallow: The citrus in EB Marshmallow helps blend these two scents together seamlessly. Smells like you topped your lemon pie with marshmallow fluff.

I am SMITTEN Before buying this I had victoria by lattafa with a similiar scent profile and although I like victoria a lot, I have to say I like this even more for winter.. it is crozier creamier, more grounded. And it's not as sweet. If I am to describe this I would say its very elegant and playful.. it reminds me of a fluffy lemon cake with a creamy lemon drizzle on top or in between the layers, and a small cup of a boozy drink on the side, but its not even a full cup.. or Maybe the cake has rum in it. Well that's basically what panettone is , and it's supposed to smell like italian panetonne.. whereas victoria is more like brown sugar and lemon cream on top of a boozy lemon drink. Victoria is more boozy. Because of neroli. This is creamer because of orange blossom. This is my favorite type of Perfumes.. sophisticated with prominent gourmand touches, like a lot of my favourite celebrity Perfumes. But regarding the bottle, although both bottles are adorable, I doo find victoria's bottle a bit more intriguing because of its reference to victorian art and victorian culinary style. Its as if it tells an entire story of creamy clouds in a blue sky enveloped in a golden citrusy victorian frame of a sun that exudes luxury and warmth. And the engraved details on the metallic cap are super cute and charming, and the absolute cherry on top . But victoria is more summery to me. Devotion has a very beautiful bottle too, I love the sacred heart and how feminine and classy it looks. Its definitely my style. I am a romantic cupid till the end.

This is a love for me! I've tried so many lemon perfumes, and they almost always smell screechy or like cleaning products on my skin. Hello, Light Blue... I'm talking about you! This is the first lemon fragrance that didn't make me want to run for the hills. The opening is a truly realistic candied lemon. It's crystalline, sugary, sweet, and just slightly tart. It smells like lemon candy rather than fresh lemon, which I absolutely love. As it dries down... oh my gosh. The caramel vanilla comes through and it's gorgeous. It really does start to smell like panna cotta, adding a soft, slightly milky sweetness that slowly melds with the candied lemon. It's not a heavy, sticky caramel though. It stays light, airy and reminds me of hard caramel sweets more than gooey caramel sauce. The rum isn't boozy on my skin. It just adds warmth and gives the base a little more depth. I also don't get much orange blossom, which I'm grateful for! It seems to be there just to balance the sweetness rather than take over the fragrance. This is the benchmark for lemon gourmands, mark my words!

The reason I clicked way overpriced is because $75 USD = $135 NZD for 50ml and most places charge around $250 NZD for a 100ml (3.4 ounces) bottle, or more. NZD is the New Zealand Dollar. But anyhew, I love this fragrance that my daughter gave me. It's so silky and feminine. I don't really get the Rum note at all, and my nose has been searching for it. I love that the Vanilla comes into play from start to finish. It starts with a startling burst of delicious Candied Lemon mixed with Panacotta. The Vanilla shows up early for a base note, but it doesn't take anything away from the other notes, the Orange Blossom is there very subtlety. So yeah, as I said it's Rum I couldn't pick up. Which I'm kind of glad about as I don't particularly like the smell of Rum. (Young person's run in with drinking too much Rum lol) So to sum it up, I know I'll be smelling this on my clothes all day tomorrow. A good "Blind Buy" if you enjoy those kinds of fragrance notes. Beautiful and sensual, with sophistication and flirty playfulness.

Best vanilla of the year! Absolute banger! I have never received so many compliments on a fragrance and I have hundreds. It really caught me off guard, I wasn’t expecting to be chased through stores by people asking what I was wearing. However, I realize the general population hasn’t smelled this scent profile like most of us have here. I get a strong aromatic citrus in the top. Some say they smell orange but I do not. It’s very much like the fruit from my “meyers lemon tree” which is a triple hybrid between a citron and a mandarin and a pomelo. The fruit from this lemon tree is desirable for making lemon based desserts. This is the lemon I get. Then it dries down into a sensual and cozy vanilla which isn’t too edible as to make me feel sick of it. It lasts for a good work day on me and for days on clothing. If I’m going somewhere in a hurry I can’t wear it because so many people stop me asking for the name and even if I can show them the bottle on my phone. This is a more mass appealing Bake and it’s fabulous!

You know how the Italians invented opera, this is opera in a bottle, invented by an Italian house. When I first tested this, the opening was like a soprano singing at me full force, that is the visual and sensation that was evoked. Jarring, I was pleasantly shocked. Once this settles it stays as a linear (don’t mind linear) dense, slightly bitter candied lemon and baked lemon fruit cake, not fresh lemon and not fresh out of the oven. It’s a bit of a chameleon, mostly I get lemon panettone (I happened to have it in the house when testing this and they smelled the same as each other.) At other times it sheers out a little and gives the drink Lemon, Lime and Bitters, sparkly and bitter but still very sweet. I’ve never gotten the pana cotta as listed. This is Sylvia from La Dolce Vita. Blonde, full bodied but wearing a gold Sacred Heart medallion staying true to her Italian roots. This is ideal to warm up Spring while it’s still cool but is also a rare gourmand that works in Summer too. Brava Bella! 💛🧡🍋🍰🥮🥂✨💃✝️

Honestly, I know that we're all supposed to love niche brands more, right? I mean...if I'm into designer scents than I can't really consider myself to be a fragrance connoisseur..right? Pfff. Listen, a good scent is a good scent. PERIOD. Whether it be a celebrity scent, middle eastern, niche, or designer, the nose likes what the nose likes. This nose prefers this over Akro Bake. Sorry. It's just more interesting and smells more like a person and less like actual food. Ironically enough, Bake was created by the same person who did Devotion, so I don't think he's ripping himself off. I've figured out that I'm not too into smelling like actual food. While I love the way they smell (and I might actually LIKE the way Bake smells more), I've found that I just don't reach for them. Many of them turn funky on me and have zero longevity, tbh. So, for now, my vote goes to devotion. Well, Lira first, then devotion. Who knows, this might change when I get a boyfriend and want to smell edible for him! TBD.

Like in tests to love when worn. Today is 28°C and I was worried it will be too sweet and cloying but it is delightful when worn. Both zesty and gourmand, but very well balanced, simply delicious. Exactly what I was searching for. A gourmand fit even for summer. It is an amazing candied lemon, but perfectly balanced with orange blossom, the rum gives the panacotta note an edge, with vanilla softening the lactons of the dessert. It is a lot of fun. The citrus note stays for long and is so very Italian my mind immediately switches to Italian summer vacations. It is carefree and flamboyant. Super feminine and voluptuous. Possibly the best release of recent years that is already iconic. In love. I also bought the heart edition, too pretty to pass over.

My absolute all time favorite fragrance I’ve ever smelled! No joke I will sniff my perfume bottle of this stuff when I need a pick me up lol. The lemon is bright and blends so seamlessly into the orange blossom, and then it almost smells sort of like an earl grey tea for an hour or so on me, I think because of the greenness of orange blossom and the tannins from the rum scent. Then it becomes this creamy, custard vanilla that makes it impossible to stop smelling my arm XD I usually spray on my body for the perfume to warm up to the vanilla base and spritz a bit on my clothes because the lemon/orange scent seems to last a bit longer on fabric - this way I have the full range of the perfume all day!

Exactly 2 days after my initial review I was back in store to get a travel size. I wish the projection was better, but regardless, I mean it when I say this is a decadent and delicious fragrance worthy of its name. It’s literally unforgettable — I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I wonder if the performance is better than it seems, because I keep smelling my wrist over and over to get another hit of it, but the longer I wear it, the more it seems there’s nothing there... but then a few minutes later I’ll whip my hand through the air and get a whiff of it like it’s been there all the while. A unique and compelling fragrance experience! Highly recommend to citrus gourmand lovers!

finally got a chance to try this on my skin at Ulta — initial spray is tart and screechy, but the dry down is glorious. Does not take long to level out into a creamy, lactonic vanilla cake adorned with candied lemon peels. It smells like a dream — I almost wish there were a shortbread/graham cracker facet to make it smell like a lemon bar or a pie. It’s probably my favorite designer I’ve tried so far! I will probably hold out on buying a full bottle until I get a chance to try Lattafa’s Victoria and Kerosene’s Unknown Pleasures, but it will be an easy reach if I do end up committing, especially since it would go perfectly with my super milk hair routine!

When I first tried this fragrance last year, I didn't really enjoy it. It felt overly sweet and a bit too much for my taste. However, this year—and especially recently—I've been wearing it a lot and enjoying it far more. This perfume gives me pure happines. What I find interesting is how it evolves after about 3–4 hours. The somewhat cloying sugary notes melt away, leaving behind a creamy panna cotta-like scent. To me, it also smells like a warm cinnamon roll covered in vanilla frosting. It's incredibly cute, cozy, and genuinely gourmand and comforting 🥮 And honestly, I think Boo from Monsters, Inc. would smell exactly like this.

i wore this perfume all day and this is my review : it is really sweet, and last pretty well (7 hours on my skin), even tho the top note (candied lemon) disappear in litteraly 3 minutes. but we can't blame dg for this, lemon is a very volatile. Enjoy the opening cuz it's pure magic. Then, it's a really vanilla orange blossom fragrance, nothing groundbreaking but SO comforting. i can smell panna cotta lightly. but the rum is nowhere in my opinion. i would finally say it's really citrusy at the beginning, sweet, vanilla and a little white floral overall and slightly lactonic and warm spicy. definitely a late-summer, fall scent.

This fragrance is so special, it is a feminine, sparkling lemon and orange blossom panacotta cake. I’m not really big into gourmands but this one is amazing and so photorealistic. I love the orange blossom note as it is my favourite scent ever. It is a gourmand that you can wear in summer because it has the perfect balance of very gourmand cakeyness but balanced out by airy lemony notes like light blue as if a cake was some how turned into a summer refreshing drink. It also really remindes me a lot of lush super milk, almost identical in the air on my skin. It has that same very zingy candied lemon and creamy laconic vanilla.

When i last reviewed this perfume, i had only smelled the store tester version. Since owning it my opinion of this perfume has changed ENTIRELY. The first few weeks you will have that sweet rum orange candy smell which is absolutely heavenly. Smelling that in the store is what made me fall in love with it... however after those few weeks for some reason all the notes in my bottle faded and now it smells like straight baby powder. no joke theres no citrus vanilla or rum JUST baby powder. i dont know why. i didnt know this perfume could change its chemical conpound entirely just to smell like baby powder.

I love this perfume. In general I’m someone who likes sweet, intense fragrances. This one has a very peculiar quality, because at first it smells like lemon dessert (literally like a lemon dessert covered with caramelized sugar) and as time goes by that citrusy part fades away, leaving a sweet yet sophisticated scent. Even though it’s sweet, it’s not a “teenage” perfume; in fact it smells refined and sophisticated as it develops on the skin. That said, I don’t feel it lasts that long — about 4 hours max. The sillage, in my opinion, is soft. But I would totally buy it again. <3

This is a beautiful perfume. Here’s what I get in this order: a realistic sweet lemon, a touch of booze, orange blossom, bready, biscuity vanilla. Dries down to a lemon vanilla puff pastry scented with orange flower water. Absolute perfection. Based on the negative reviews below, I have to wonder if the formula has already been changed (as they very annoyingly do), or if people are reviewing the intense here by mistake. My bottle is an older batch. I feel feminine and uplifted when I wear this. It’s sunshine in a bottle. I can wear this all year day or night.

I wear this to bed! I spray it when I’m getting ready for bed and by the time I am heading off to sleep I’m enveloped in a creamy panacotta cloud. It’s becoming a nice sleep queue for my senses. One thing I do want to say though is the first five minutes of this spray is not so enjoyable to me as the lemon comes out a bit strong and boozy but the dry down is actual heaven and very vanilla and fluffy! I also get a hint of something warm and spicy toward the start which could be the rum?

Amazing perfume, definitely one of my favourites. I remember it was love from first sniff. First of all it became very popular that's why it has a lot of haters as well. I do agree that is a fragrance for winter 100%. The reason I have a second thought of buying it that has something in it that's irritating in a way. I can't explain it very well but I don't like that part of the dry down. I would think of getting something like lira or bake just to have a comparison. Over all 8/10

I just want to eat myself . Yeah, it’s that delicious. Lemon custard with lots of vanilla whipping cream. It doesn’t get any better. I think I need a gallon of this stuff . Or maybe a bathtub full of it, so I can bathe in it. And this is coming from a person who owns over 200 bottles. I haven’t been excited for a perfume in a really long time, but this to me is just the best gourmand I ever tried. As a bonus, they managed to stay away from patchouli, imagine that! Yummy.

The only gourmand I truly enjoy: a meyer lemon morning bun with enough depth to satisfy me. The meanest person you've ever met loves Devotion. Men fawn over this; a date said I smelled like a "bakery" before burying his nose in my neck. I bought the bottle during a flash sale and will likely have it forever. The only sweet fragrance I'd buy if I had to start from the beginning. I've smelled it in hallways before, don't buy if you want a memorable "signature".

This is such a good all rounder. I've even worn this in hot and humid weather as an evening fragrance, and somehow that candied lemon cut through just enough. I'm baffled at anyone not smelling the lemon! It's a sensual gourmand. One of the few designer scents I reach for regularly. The boozy rum note definitely elevates this to better suit evening wear whilst still being fun. Maybe not everyone's cup of rum but it's delicious in my opinion!

This is my favorite perfume. I would have never discovered it if it weren't for it's identical dupe, Loyal to You by Bath & Body Works (discontinued). Warm, cozy, comforting, nostalgic, lemon-y, creamy, dreamy, and marshmallowy. I LOVE this. I wish it had better projection, on me it's just a skin scent. That's the only thing I don't like about it. This will always be one of my signature scents. I am devoted to it.

This was an almost-instant love for me. It reminds me of orange marmalade with vanilla, something darker/stronger - likely the rum, with a noticeable musk note. It actually reminds me of LUSH product, which is part of its charm for me! Over-spraying this has given me a headache, so I spritz lightly and luckily it projects well. My full-size bottle should last quite a while.

Whoever said this smells like Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy but more citrusy was spot on. It's quite long lasting like LDBS as well. I didn't think I would love this as much as I do (because I don't particularly like lemon as a note in fragrance) but it is gorgeous! The citrus accord is more of a dessert citrus than a zesty one. This is probably why I like it tbh.

Love, love, love this perfume. I stepped away from it to use my other scents for a while and then wore this yesterday. I love it so much!!! This is a great one for me. Opening, middle and end I just love everything about it. I think I may give the dupes a try on this one and see how they compare since I could really get spray happy with this one and overuse it.

I have this since release and I have to say that upon macerating it got really, really strong! Sillage and projection improved by ten times fold... it shocked me. This is the most delicious lemon merengue pie scent - if you are into such gourmands, give it a try! I love it and layer it with coconutty scents for the summer - scrumpilicious!

It almost feels impossible to me that people dislike this. This is what I reach for to be comforted. It’s my #1 most worn night fragrance and I don’t even own a full size bottle. It’s wild how we all react so differently to scents, because to me, this is like if the world’s warmest hug was also something you could eat for dessert.

A delectable and enticing perfume - I think it smells like Froot Loops! Devotion perfectly masters balancing good silage while remaining modest, subtle, and inviting. The simple base note composition is brilliant; each are perceptible and complement each other wonderfully. It's a shame that Devotion for Men wasn't as good.

Beautiful, delicious and sunny! So warm and cozy, I also get a bit of spiciness at first maybe it's the rum. Opens up with the candied lemon which kind of freshens up the sweet panacotta and vanilla and then turns creamier with the orange blossom. I love both this one and the Intense. So so good.

smells like a romantic, almost floral honey. like it came from a lemon tree minutes ago. yummy. i like it in the summer so i wear it a lot on vacation. too floral for me to be a totally winter/fall scent. flirtatious and jovial while still mature. sexual. innocent

It's such a heavy fragrance, in the best way possible. It feels like a citrusy sugar candy coated in sweet but starchy powder. Vanilla here adds weight to the smell and makes it more comfy and warming. This adds to it being more suitable for fall and winter.

This is easily likable. Fresh, lemony, not too sweet, no funky dry down, simply a nice candied lemon treat. I don’t smell rum at all. While I understand this not being someone’s favorite scent profile, I cannot see how anyone would think this is a scrubber.

One of my favourite fragrances from 2023-2024, absolutely loved it. It reminds me of italian traditional sweets like panettone and pastiera. Long lasting, sweet, tangy, buildable and way better than the intense version, which for some reason I can't stand.

I swear I smell even better the more i sweat with her on. I love wearing her to the gym (financially irresponsible i know) but I can’t help it. She’s intoxicating on the skin. A gorgeous lactonic candied lemon vanilla. Everyone needs to own this.

I mistook it for Intense (it looks too similar) and bought it blind, but it's amazing!! 💗💗 I'm not a fan of overtly gourmand flavors, but this is a well-behaved gourmand flavor that's not childish. The lemon cake scent lingers.

I had a bottle of Angel Muse by Mugler (now discontinued) a few years ago that unfortunately shattered into a million pieces and this is very similar to it. RIP Angel Muse, I got a full sized bottle at TJ Maxx for $23 in 2021.

This is a gorgeous take on a vanilla scent; it's fresher rather than sickly, like most vanilla perfumes, thanks to the candied lemon note. It's fresh yet sweet, making it a fun, dessert-like fragrance. Highly recommend

If a woman wore this perfume, I’d have to make quite an effort not to eat her. Normally, there are very few women’s perfumes that would make me turn my head when someone walks past me. This is one of them)

I LOVE THIS! It is so good. I have been looking for a sweet lemon pound cake scent and this is it. I bought it because I tried Lataffa’s Victoria which is similar., but lasts for 5 minutes or less.

I’m a gourmand lover and love this!! Lemon usually pulls as lemon cleaner on me. But not this and I’m so happy. I smell like a creamy lemon meringue. I can’t stop sniffing myself. 😋

Don't come for me on this one guys lol but there is something reminiscent of a Cabbage Patch Doll in the dry down but I don't hate it has a nostalgic scent to it.
