D&G Anthology La Temperance 14

La Temperance is light, pretty, clean fragrance. Sweet in an unusual way, not fruity, vanilla, or sugar based to me. I think this sweetness comes from the ambrette, because I've smelt it in a few fragrances and on me its sweet rather than musky. The floral notes in this fragrance do not stand out too much they are very light and I think sniff really close to even notice they are present. I would have to say a soft powdery iris is what I can smell the most. I do pick up on a light patchouli, similar to the one found in La Roue de La Fortune. Yet this patch is not as potent, as if they just put in a drop or two. Its an interesting fragrance that is surprisingly well blended. I like to wear La Temperance, when I want to wear something that has light musk undertone. Its clean, sweet, and completely inoffensive. This fragrance stays pretty close to the skin, but has great lasting power. You might have to respray if you are looking for something with a sillage. Overall its a great fragrance that I enjoy wearing! I suggest it if you are looking for a soft sweet musk and a fragrance the is fresh without being citrus based..

I received a sample from this line when it first came out and was so intoxicated, but could never remember which one it was. It crossed my mind over the years but I never did the work to find it. Well, I broke down this week and ordered both l'imperatrice and la temperance because I was pretty certain it was one or the other. Lucky me, it was la temperance, which I got for a steal as a full 3 oz tester! So happy to have found it again, exactly as I remembered. It is so light, sweet, and clean - like a newborn baby, which is exactly how I want to smell sometimes. I only wish it was stronger - it sits SO close to the skin, its really a scent you put on just for yourself as a treat at the end of the day. It also doesn't evolve much past the first minute for me, which I'm fine with, as I'm really using it as just a bit of nostalgia. It could be a great office scent though for those that have to keep things close, totally inoffensive and a good 365/24/7 blind grab if you like powder.

La Temperance is a very light, close to skin scent. You could literally bathe in this, and still not smell too much of it. In the opening you smell a lot of fresh pink pepper, but later on it smells like ambrette, powdery iris, musk. It does smell vanilla-like. I truly enjoy this scent, but I wish it was stronger. It's long lasting, just very, very little sillage. I guess that's the thing about the series though, skin scents that are not overpowering. This is a good one for daily wear, because it's non-offensive, and not too strong. If you buy this, buy a big bottle, because you are going to need to spray a lot of it. I think it's a very comforting and cosy smell, and now that I've bought a 100 ml bottle of it, I'm going to wear this a lot.

There is something about this scent... I can't exactly describe it, but I love it! I simply can't stop snuffing it. Most of the perfumes I love, have musk. And this is one of them. I also smell citrus, vanilla, maybe spices - but that's very delicate. It is sweet, but it is not at the same time. For me this is clean, warm, creamy, but fresh at the same time, calming scent close to skin. It is such a great mixture! Might not be for everyone, but it works perfect with my skin. It is probably the musk... When I was younger, I would never go for such a perfume. I would probably find it heavy. This age? Deffinetely not heavy at all. I do realize this comment might not be exactly helpful. But I said that - can't exactly describe it... ;)

I bought this second-hand from someone that said it was such a boring scent. Unexpectedly, this fragrance on me, it creates a vibe of Mon Guerlain and exactly a grown-up version of Vera Wang Princess. It reminded me of the kisses and hugs from elder sisters in the family reunions or wintertime in the kindergarten. It's cozy, calm, slightly soapy, and not giving a headache in a hot and humid place. However, I would prefer wearing it on the cool day or fall season when I can dress in a fluffy cashmere sweater and give people a lot of teddy bear cuddles. The only con is the projection is quite poor, it has gone so fast, and tends to be a very close skin scent.

D&G Anthology La Temperance 14. I bought this in the summer and thought it was a blind buy disappointment but recently I started craving it and I found that I absolutely love it in cooler weather! As it just opens right up. The ambrette, iris, Orris, rose and musk, really stand out and its like being in a pink, warm and fluffy cocoon. As Its such a dreamy and ethereal concoction and I find it so, so soothing..So soothing and dreamy. Which is so relaxing at nighttime and I've worn it 3 nights in a row now. And I still can smell it in the morning, as it lasts for ages in clothes.

I bought the tester bottle for the cheaper price. For some reason the first initial spray gave off a more citric, lemony note. But the dry down gave off a musky floral scent that is fresh and soft. I own nearly the whole set of perfumes in the Anthology line and this is now a close second as a favourite (L’Imperatrice is my first) and just nudged out La Batelieur. A lovely scent for warmer months and also for cooler Autumn months as well but this will disappear quickly in winter. Longevity not great and sillage is soft to weak but I love this!

Imagine doing heroin, putting on a Philip Glass album, and then climbing into an adult sized jolly jumper to do some interpretive dance. Not a sexy perfume by any stretch. Maybe leave this for the daytime when you don't mind smelling like a late-to-talk child at an avant-garde preschool for the gifted. Having said that, the perfume is lovely though. If you want to be transfixed and unravelling into long hours of soft pink satin angles with your Jungian therapist, 14 La Tempérance has got your back.

I am very surprised there is no citrus listed in the notes, as the impression that this fragrance consistently makes on me is one of a warm, softly sweet, musky citrus. It reminds me of both the DKNY Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue and of Chanel Allure. There has to be some sort of a juicy citrus in the top notes, the opening is predominantly citric. OK, this makes more sense. Checked the notes on Sephora: Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Ambrette Seeds, Hibiscus Flower Accord, Rose, Orris, Patchouli, Musk.

Blind bought this during lockdown. So much better than I dared to hope for. Warm comforting and soft like a favorite blanket on a couch on a windy fall day. Opening has a hint of citrus—-reminds me of She / Lei fra Armani Ambrette, creamy orris, iris on a musky base. Warming spices and fresh patchouli. Smells super expensive / excluisve. Soft silage and moderate longevity...wish it had som more power to it. Love the comforting hug of this scent. Perfect for evenings relaxing and bedtime.

Lá temperance is London City during the autumn. It's the city lights that come on as the sun slowly sets. The pink skies that hover over the white marble of old architecture, and fade to black. The busy streets, and the smell of hotnuts and coffee lingering around every corner. The feeling of relaxation as you're on the train home. The good days, the comfortable days. This is a very cosy, plush, sophisticated perfume. I am in love

You can probebly tell by my username that this is my signature scent. Sadly it is discontinued, I think, but I got my backups. This has everything I need. Balsamic, oriental, sweet but not too sweet. A hint of citrus, a little floral (I get white flowers as well) and a tiny tiny bit masculine. Some spicyness from the pink pepper, very well blended imo. Like an expensive oil, liquid gold! Versatile, not too loud, for any occasion.

D&G 14 La Temperance is a dry woody scent with some touch of mild spice note at the base. I do not get any patchouli but the musk is leading from top to the base. Is a skin scent like perfume. they don't project that well but you get a pleasant smell on the body or cloth. This is unique and classy. I love it. Suitable for indoor conditioning room and is a office perfume, safe and easy to wear.

This is my favourite of the Anthology series, and lasts the longest on my skin. La Temperance is a soft oriental. It has a creamy amber, musky base. I'm not a fan of sweet, candy-like fragrances... this is a little sweet, but it's not sickly sweet. I would have liked it if this was a more concentrated fragrance, unfortunately the entire series is EDT. Would be better as an EDP D&G!

This perfume is really not for everyone. I’ve came across girls who say they don’t like it and I’ve came across some that absolutely think is so classy and fresh and love it. I personally really like it! It works so well with my skin chemistry and I’ve gotten compliments every time I use it. Definitely test it on your skin first before purchasing it.

The first 5 minutes are kinda citrusy.. but it becomes a soft calm, warn, spicy sent very quikley.. On my skin it besomes vanillai and musky.. Many perfumes tends to smell vanilla even tough its not vanilla in it.. beautil sent.. remind me of number 10 la roue de la fortune, but not that masculin.. Good for winter times..

A divine furore, here and then gone. Bold and aromatic at the opening, but disappears all too soon, leaving a sweet honey note which in itself lingers for hours on clothes. If you are like me and you are more than happy to use three different fragrances in the one day, Le Temperance may temper you in all her impertinence.

very early 2000s 2010s designer-esque, kind of the same designer vibes as gucci edp II and gucci guilty with a similar custardy sweetness in the drydown as escada incredible me/desirable me. this is surprisingly really great, it's obviously not mind-blowing or anything new, but really desirable and lasts relatively long.

When I spray this I immediately smell vanilla and orange (those aren't listed notes so that's weird!) Then after 10 minutes I smell creamy musk, amber and a hint of rose.... smells gooood.... but why is it so weak like the rest of the Anthology series?! Longevity is a problem and also it's lack-of concentration :(

Absolutely one of my favorite perfumes ever. Fresh at first, but after couple hours it's soft like skin. This is what every woman should smell like :) Stays on my skin for hours and hours. It's been on my skin now for 11 hours, and it's still absolutely awesome. So soft and beautiful. You need this one!
