Dolce Lily

Summer in a bottle. One of my favorite treats in the summer is to crunch on the passionfruit seeds in my iced tea. Dolce Lilyʻs opening is almost purely passionfruit, and smells just like the syrupy seeds that they use at tea stands. After a couple of hours, the sweet, tart passionfruit begins to fade and the florals emerge. As for what those florals are, I usually get a blend of the rose and lily, but there have also been times where I was getting just rose, or just lily. I can definitely see why some reviewers can’t detect lily at all, while some say it’s too much lily. If you are looking for a definitively lily fragrance, be sure to try this on your skin first and don’t blind buy, as this fragrance doesn’t always give off lily, despite the name.

Passionfruit all the way. If you like the smell of that fruit, you should try this one. I love it because it's an uplifting, cheerful fragance and it's also fresh without being too sweet. I bought it because we are in summer here in Argentina. I love that it's called "dolce", but it's more fresh than sweet. I don't like sweet perfumes. I see this one as a safe, innocent, young and not strong perfume. I have a very sensitive nose so I like this one very much :)

I really loved it, not sure why the reviews are so negative, to me in the opening it has a really nice pasion fruit +citrus smell which I loved, after some time it turned to a really soft, vanilla-flowery smell. It lasted more than 7 hours on my skin and even after a shower it still left a soft vanilla scent on my skin. My advice for any perfume, if it works for you and your skin, the reviews won’t matter.

I really like this perfume, although it is soft and delicate scent. It is very juicy, sparkling, unique and fresh fruity-floral fragrance. I am used to wear strong scents, therefore I ́m sad, that it is a little bit weak - lasts about 3-4 hours if you overspray yourself. But definitely, as it is really my favourite scent at the moment, I can say, buying it was worth it. Love for a spring-summer period.

divinely sweet!! as someone who doesnt typically prefer florals, this fragrance is the perfect balance i've been looking for. deliciously fresh scent & super charming! very fruity over the florals, but the perfect girly mix. literally everyone loves it! i keep a miniature bottle on hand with me at all times :) neccessity!

100% agree with previous comments that this is a fruity smelling fragrance. Very sweet tropical fruit smelling when worn in hot weather and becomes lighter almost sweet tea like in cooler weather. Might be deem too sweet smelling if you are not into gourmand or more used to florals.

Beautiful perfume with a clean lily scent that isn't overpowering. A hint of a green tea smell in there as well. Although it's not a note, it's likely the mix of everything and it's nice.

i sprayed it in an ulta recently and instantly fell in love. Juicy Fruity goodness. Perfect for spring and summer.

I first wore this perfume before I had read what the notes are - all I knew was that it was called Dolce Lily and had a bright pink bottle. Immediately, I thought I must be having a problem with my sense of smell because I couldn't smell any lily at all, just tart, juicy passionfruit. A few minutes in, I could smell a bit of spicy rose. I don't know what's going on with whoever names the Dolce line, but none of them have been named appropriately, in my opinion! I actually really like this fragrance (maybe my favorite Dolce?), but I'm sure a sizable portion of that is that I love passionfruit and am neutral on lily, so the actual scent was a very pleasant surprise. As some have mentioned, this really doesn't last very long, but it's perfect for a hot summer day while it does!

Ahhh, I expected more a more floral-forward perfume, but this is primarily fruity! However, it's really, really pretty and the passionfruit is lovely. It smells as if it might have some pear in here as well. It's definitely rosey, but it's a youthful, fresh, dewy rose. Almost more like peony than true rose. It's simply and has a laundry musk drydown, but what makes this more interesting than some perfumes lately, is that it actually stays quite juicy and fruity throughout the middle stage and only becomes really musky far into the drydown. I really like it, although I had hoped for more prominent lily. I think most perfumes from this line would make nice, safe gifts too, and are very office appropriate.

Received this as a sample! Funny how different scents smell on different people! I notice the reviews talk a lot about a citrus or fruity component but on me I have to really focus to smell those notes. My chemistry really brings out the clean lilly with ever slightly sweet musk. It reminds me more of a lotion or conditioner than shampoo if that makes sense. It's creamy but clean. It's an inoffensive, daily scent, I enjoy it, but probably no one's signature. There isn't anything unique or stand out-ish. But it is nice!

Just blind bought a travel size today. Really easy, light scent. Reminds me a little Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. Perfect for spring and summer. If u are into light floral and not too picky, you are going to like it. It is not too citrusy in the opening, not too sweet, after 20 min I can smell little bit of rose. Lily is almost undetectable, so I don't know why they decided to name it "Lily" I would definitely put it in rotation with my others perfumes.

Really pretty fragrance! It is however a tad boring and body spray like. With that being said- given D&G’s advertising for this, it’s targeted toward younger girls. This is perfect for a teenage girl who’s transitioning from body sprays to perfumes.

This has to be one of my favorites of the Dolce garden collection. It opens with fruity top notes of passionfruit and lemon, with floral middle notes from rose and pink lily. Don't let the pink bottle throw you off if you like citrus scents!

This smells almost identical to the Paris Hilton EDP to my nose. Bright, fruity and fresh! It smells like the mall and the mid 2000s. Not something I would gravitate to any more, but it's an enjoyable scent for the fruity floral lovers.

Hello passion fruit! Dolce Lily is a happy, uplifting fragrance with a nice floral base and fruity opening. It is an easy reach, and great for one of those days where the heat doesn’t relent and anything else is just too heavy.

Smells nice, but that’s pretty much it. A sweet, inoffensive, pink, tropical fruit punch. If I didn’t know what the scent was/where it came from I would’ve thought I had gotten hibiscus shampoo on my wrist.

It’s weird to me that this has so many negative reviews, it’s such an inoffensive fragrance to my nose! Pleasant, shampoo-y, nothing special but still nice.

Citrusy and pretty but not my favorite from D&G. Poor longevity.

I'm curious about the reviews going on about the weak lasting power of Lily since I had the opposite experience with it. This is a basic, crowd-pleasing fruity floral that I could see coming out of the early 2010s and selling in TjMaxx/Winners for a discount. The opening is a nice, sweeter floral with a bergamot background (not sharp whatsoever), which fades into, as so many have said, a fruity shampoo scent reminiscent of Garnier Fructis. This is not a bad thing, especially since it lasted a good 7-8 hours on my skin after two sprays, one on my clavicle and one on my wrist, but it was also nothing impressive. This disappointment reminds me of Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci a bit, and i'd say it's a safe blind buy for those who like fruity florals, but I would personally not purchase a full bottle.

Okay SO the opening smells a lot like my favorite shampoo by Love Beauty & Planet, the Coconut and Mimosa Flower (blue bottle). That shampoo doesn't really smell like coconut but more like fruits and flowers. I loved the opening of this but then the rose came in and ruined it for me. I was so excited I almost purchased it immediately and luckily I walked around 20 minutes and let the strip dry down..then the rose came through. I've been looking for a shampoo scent but unfortunately this won't be it.

Starts off with a sweet and zesty blast of passionfruit. After about 30 mins a fairly generic floral smell comes through - I assume it’s the lily and rose but I wouldn’t have been able to pick them out without checking the notes. After another 30 or so mins it’s basically completely gone. Has potential as a sweet, girly summer scent but the performance is just way too poor to make it worth it.

Going to agree with the other reviews that say this is very light, inoffensive, and short lived. I get quite a bit of lily and generic, clean fruitiness, and after less than an hour it's gone. It's pretty, by all means, but is far too bland and weak to be worth any price more than that of a body spray.

It’s all passionfruit. It’s nice for summer for young women. Bright and fruity. I didn’t pick up any power note. It gets a little dirty and peppery in the dry down. I wouldn’t buy it for myself. I don’t love it.

Mainly passionfruit, and fruity floral. Inoffensive, pleasant, if not unique. Has some of the funkiness that some tropical fruits get, which adds depth. Fun and nice.

I must be anosmic to it. I smelled nothing at all and I sprayed pretty heavily on the tester. Oh well, glad I only got the travel size!

Opens as a floral scent that first gives a petal blast. Immediately I’m getting another scent as the fragrance warms on my skin. It’s a more fruity floral scent and it’s citrusy. It’s almost like a fruit punch mixed with petals. This fragrance smells like two fragrances layered. It gets a bit more cohesive as it wears. I agree with the comparisons to deodorant. It has a certain cheap fruity floral scent reminiscent of when you can smell a woman’s drugstore deodorant on a hot day. I wear unscented deodorant because I just cannot stand most of those scents. It gets a bit better once the musk in the base emerges. I think the best part of the fragrance is the drydown. I'm shocked they actually released this one. Dolce Garden is an amazing scent. Dolce Rose was unoriginal yet pleasant enough. This scent is strange and unpleasant.

If you have smelt lily lowers at least once in your life, or put them in a vase in your room, you know what it can feel like when there's too much of them. It can get really choky - and so is this perfume. I guess fruity notes were supposed to make it fresher, but it turned out like a cheap deodorant instead. Unfortunately, the bottle is way prettier than the perfume itself.

On my skin this is so bad I wander how it can be on the market. It smells like something rotten covered by cheap air freshener. Maybe it’s just my body chemistry, but really horrid smell, it reminds me of thrift store odor. So far I only like Shine, dislike Rose, but I’m really disappointed in Lily, where are lilies anyway?

As I love lily scents I had high hopes for it. But it is not a green realistic lily like in Cartiers Baiser Volé, which I love. Here the lily comes across quite aquatic and too synthetic for my taste. Overall it is a young, girly, totally undemanding fragrance. Not my style at all. The bottle fits the scent.

I was expecting a white floral or at least a lily dominant scent but this is a sweet fruity fragrance with a touch of rose. It’s not my cup of tea, the passion fruit is a bit sickening and the smell is not groundbreaking. I will pass.

This smells like a bunch of rotting fruit sitting next to a bouquet of lilies that were left at your grandmothers wake. Fruity funeral home. I’ll pass.

I sampled this at ULTA and let me just say this is the worst of a very mediocre line. It smells like a fruity shower gel in the beginning and then smells like plastic flowers. I am not kidding it smells like plastic. I cannot believe this is the kind of perfume that designers are selling today. I love lily and there is no lily in this perfume, just fake fruity shower gel and plastic flowers, just like the plastic flower on the bottle. This whole line is pathetic and sad but Dolce Lily really could take the number 1 spot for worst release of 2022.

Dolce Lily by Dolce&Gabbana is one of the most unremarkable designer fragrances I have smelled in my four year fragrance journey. To be fair, I am a lily hater. This fragrance is the most basic, mediocre lily fragrance you could possible find. The opening and base notes couldn't even help it out and give it some life. Not for me!

Nothing special about this fragrance. The dry down is terrible, feels like heavy metal.

Just to mention the potential biases here, I am a big fan of this collection, and while I find the longevity the entire collection to be lacking I generally enjoy all the scents. I can see why some people are mentioning a soapy/plasticy smell - there's something that pops if you sniff for too long. I can't quite pinpoint what it is, but it doesn't go with the rest of the scent and I seem to have given myself a headache from attempting to figure it out. That being said, the citrus notes are strong on me when it opens and the passion fruit note lasts a decent amount of time for an opening note, which I was hoping for because I love that scent. It doesn't project at all, and I have to bring my wrist right up to my nose to smell it, but that's okay. This is more of a scent I wear because I like the smell of passion fruit rather than one I'd think to wear out or for an event, or one I'd turn to if I wanted a strong and lasting fragrance (it is an EDT after all). After the top notes fade it isn't overly floral on me - I don't get strong rose notes at all, which doesn't bother me. I think I prefer lily to rose anyways. I have a hard time really getting at the base notes, unfortunately. I don't love it or hate it, it's a nice light floral with some notes I knew I liked going in. It's the kind of thing I might just spray around the house for the burst of happiness I get from smelling the passionfruit. If you like the notes, get it, if not it probably won't be anything that'll turn heads so if you're looking for something to make you stand out maybe this isn't the fragrance for you.

In the Dolce line I only own Rose which is a pretty musky rose still nothing special to me. I tried Lily sometime ago and loved it on the spot. I only got a small bottle but while it is not grounbreaking I enjoy Lily so much. I have a very large collection and since about a year now I don' t feel the need to wear the heavy and complex scents anymore. So Iam building a new collection of fragrances that make me feel good and at ease wearing them,mostly florals and clean scents. I love the light weight of these kind of fragrances they make me feel uplifted and put together. Dolce Lily does this to me, fresh floral,a little sweet,sparkling and so easy to wear on an everyday basis.

Yeah, a bit of Lily, but mainly passionfruit. It's not a bad fragrance. Clean, tropical, summery. The citrus supports the passionfruit. I don't get much rose, but I do get the base notes in the dry down. It's pretty linear. I bought a backup when I had the opportunity to get one cheap as chips. It's a bit shampoo like, non offensive (to me) and easy to wear. If you don't like passionfruit, I'd give it a pass. I wear this in the dead of summer, particularly at night. Same sort of passionfruit as POY, just without the obvious vanilla POY has. If you like passionfruit, I'd get my nose on it. I think you can pick up a 75ml tester here in Australia for approx $65.

this should be called dolce passionfruit. i get nothing but passionfruit and some florals as the perfume settles into my skin. it’s beautiful in the summertime, but it can get overwhelmingly plastic smelling so i like to layer this with miami glow since miami glow is soapy and creamy and is the perfect mix in my opinion. so far the only dolce’s i’ve liked in this line is dolce garden, dolce lily and the original dolce with the green perfume. they’re all lovely and high quality. i hate dolce shine and have not tried dolce rose, peony or violet yet

Wow this scent is soooooo good. If you don't like fruity sweet fragrances you will not like this. This scent is ULTRA girly and feminine it reminds me of a girl that wears pink head to toe and Bedazzles everything she gets her hands on. The passionfruit makes it truly delicious. The downside is this has HORRIBLE lasting power. I hope they come out with an intense version because I have to spray sooo much to make it actually project and last that I can see anyone going through a whole bottle of this very quickly.

i was so excited to see this new edition :) i love lilies so i figured it should be a winner !!! and i was right - yeah - it fits beautifully in the dolce garden collection :) its a beautiful light soft lily scent - very wearable :) it does have a hint of sweetness - possibly thats where the lemon comes in but it doesnt scream lemon lol so dont worry its a pretty feminine delicious light floral scent :) if u collect all the dolce scents then i would say this is a must to add :) also love the cute flower caps :)

I was kind of disappointed in this one. I have a splash bottle of this. It's a simple floral that doesn't evolve much and has a bit of a synthetic quality to it. I don't get a lot of fruit from this, but perhaps those notes shine more in an atomizer. Overall it reminded me of BBW EDTs I used to use back in the day, particularly the cherry blossom one albeit this one has lily instead. I feel like there are so many better done florals out there. It's not terrible but it's just not something I want to smell like.

Very fresh fruity floral. I swear I can smell black currant, though it's not listed. I'd like to smell this on a woman of any age. I'll give my sample to my mom or my sister. Oh, and yes, it does smell of "something I smelled before" but what was it? Another fragrance? A soap, a lotion, someone passing buy carrying flowers one fresh summer morning on the lake Garda? Good like finding out!!! Smelling of something you smelled before doesn't suddently seem that bad after all...

On a blotter the Lily really stands out, it's ace, all lily, v different, beautiful.. on skin it comes across sharp fruity almost sweaty (as per review below) character really changes. But this is just top notes I think. I like many do not wait long enough.. Lily pops out more after a while. Having said that, the sweaty acrid phase IS v off putting. I am on the fence but I wonder if it would work better on clothes. Overall on skin, the sour fruits shout down the poor lily.

Tropical and citrusy off the bat. Some nice clean white florals with a musk backdrop. Barely get any sandalwood if i'm honest. An inoffensive everyday wear that's more appropriate for summer. Don't see why this one is so polarizing, i quite like it. It's more citrus and passionfruit heavy rather than florals to my nose. It's not groundbreaking but it's a bit more interesting than the average basic bitch designer fragrance.

Came to the reviews to see if anyone else experienced what I did with my skin chemistry, I’m not alone it seems. On my skin it’s citrus that turns to pure passion fruit, nothing else until it then turns to smell like bo😣 I’ve never had that happen with a scent before the smelling of bo, this is a first. But while the passion fruit is there it’s amazing until it turns sour😔

The kind of passionfruit that I wish stronger with you had. This is a nice, bright passionfruit fragrance with some nondescript florals in there and something sweet. It's pretty and easy to wear. Dries down to an airy, sweet passionfruit. The passionfruit is definitely the star of the show so you better like that fruit if you get this one!

This one is really one of the best from this Dolce line! Such a sweet fruity floral scent, feminine and youthful , pleasant 😊 like pink champagne; the blend of citrus and pink florals! so well done....with that touch of passionfruit coming through aswell!

This is my least favorite from the line, for me this smells like a floral shampoo. I personally didn't get the tropical opening, just a heady lily from the start. If you'd like more tropical vibes, opt for Dolce Garden.

I have soft spot for this perfume. It reminds me of vacation by the sea, where I used to walk to the perfumery every morning and spritz myself with that perfume. It’s a real mood lifter. Happiness in a bottle.
