Light Blue Capri In Love Eau de Parfum

I really love this fragrance and it is one of my favorites for warm weather! It opens very zesty and bright with a sour green apple note. Can it be called lemony? Sure, but its more complex than lemon. It mellows a bit to an almost creamy floral note, almost as it the tea had a teeny splash of milk. Its beautiful on my skin and lasts that way for the ENTIRE work day. So for me, longevity is not an issue. I have had some compliments from coworkers as well, so I know that it projects a few feetl. It makes me feel clean and fresh and energized! Also, I wore it on my Mediterranean cruise this past March and it was so lovely! Now I have a beautiful scent memory attached to it! I will repurchase Capri in Love when I run out! Ciao!

Tested this one twice - first test was super dominant on the apple-citrus notes, which was really nice, but when I got the blotter home about an hour later for another sniff, I couldn't smell anything at all. (Probably went nose-blind from testing so many fragrances that day; plus the store I was at was busy, so that didn't help.) Second test was on a less busy day - I still caught the initial apple notes, but this time around I caught an unpleasant soapy-powdery scent on the dry-down that made me glad I didn't test it on my skin. Can't smell the jasmine tea in this at all, nor the longoza (unless that's what that soapy note is, in which case it's not one I'm fond of). In a word, disappointing.

It's beautiful. Some citrus with green apple and jasmine tea in the open. In the heart I get some fig, but thought that was only in the pour homme version. I had no idea what longoza was as a flower, but that's in the base with mixed woods. Feminine leaning unisex, but still absolutely unisex. It definitely gives off a lounging on the deck of a yacht that's traversed up into cooler waters mixing with an afternoon sun. Ladies this would be a great lounging fragrance; guys, this is a nice soft and subtle fragrance that you could easily pair with a citrus/woods dominant fragrance to create a sharper Mediterranean feel if it leans too femme for you.

As a former recovered light blue obsessed teenager, I have to say I really enjoy this perfume. The herbal jasmine tea and tart, crisp green apple notes complement the light blue profile so well. It kind of reminds me of Daisy by Marc Jacobs, which I think is why I love it so much. However, like many of these department store brands the longevity just simply isn't there. I stopped noticing the scent on myself after about 4 hours. I think this is a great summer scent that works well for office jobs or other close-space work environments. But maybe not the best value in terms of cost and longevity.

this fragrance is so uniquely beautiful. I personally feel that it is fresh and zesty, relying on the apple and longoza, but presents this amazing black pepper note throughout that keeps things interesting. this is a perfect everyday choice for the office or a day out and about. the longevity is not the best but I certainly would turn my head if someone walked past me wearing this. the pepper and apple together are honestly so addicting to sniff.

I’ve always been a fan of the original but haven’t thought about it in years I have a mini that occasionally I smell but I tried this version today and omg I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it smelled. I have been on a clean citrus fragrance kick and this one also has tea which is another favorite note. So I will be adding to my collection.

I love the smell of this one, I already own the Light Blue EDP and would like a small bottle of this one also. It smells very fresh and clean, and takes on an almost musky dry down scent after a while. Too expensive for a full bottle but a small ml bottle would do nicely.

Very pretty. Sweeter than light blue. Everyday fresh light anytime scent. It’s a like for me but something in the opening I’m not too fond of and will not repurchase after finishing the travel size. It reminds me a bit of light blue intense but I enjoy that much more.

The expensive scent, the summer scent, the scent doesn't make you dizzy. Anyone who likes a light scent but shouts that I'm clean, this scent is the most suitable for the summer, it goes well with the sweat scent.

A beautiful freash scent, with an amazing breath taking opening, it takes you at a different level of joy and happiness. I feel it can be used for both genders easily over all 8/10

after reading various comments here about this fragrance, i can confidently say that skin chemistry and our own nose make the scent experience extremely different and with many nuances for everyone. light blue capri in love didn’t really get me in the opening, as it is somehow just citrusy and green; luckily it lacked the bitterness of the light blue edt for women opening, and the jasmine made it more intriguing with a still bitter but pleasant and opulent note. it’s the drydown that made me fall in love with this fragrance: the jasmine mutates its sharp profile in a rather smooth and sweet one that enriches the fresh smell of the apple; the fragrance though always remains elegant and feminine rather than just fresh and childish thanks to the base note. overall i won’t say it’s the most revolutionary and groundbreaking perfume of all time, but it’s such a nice everyday scent that is inoffensive and will give you a clean and pleasant, likeable vibe. 5-6 hours of longevity, rather intimate sillage. i would recommend it.

This is very nice. But it's longevity, and sillage is very poor. You would basically have to take the bottle or a travel with you to reup every couple hours. Within 15 minutes, it starts to really fade. I think I sprayed my outside blazer maybe ten or so times, and then when I was getting ready to leave twenty minutes later, I sprayed myself and my shirt probably another ten times. With all of that, by the time I was at work at eight, it had already faded quite a bit. The scent itself is very nice and pretty and light. I would consider it pretty fresh and clean. Definitely that kind of lemon or fresh scent we usually see in light blue flankers. IYKYK. But it has no base to be able to cling on too. Definitely, wait to buy it on discount, not worth full price.

My husband chose this one for me to wear during our vacation in Greece this summer. Not something I would have picked up myself, but - since he liked it so much, I got a 50ml bottle to use for the days spent by the sea. It turns out that Capri in Love is perfect for summertime. Carefree, light but present. Fresh citrus tea, with apple and flowery nuances. Lasts long, a couple of sprays in the evenings before going out, are still there next morning. At times it gets lost for me, but others can still smell it, even from some distance. Since I started wearing it, I often get compliments about how good I smell, my husband loves it - he keeps sniffing my neck and I really enjoy its scent. Capri in Love and I have a happy summer affair.

I like this! It delivers the promise of fresh, summer scent without being excessively basic. I like it a lot better than the OG. It is boring and a safe work scent in summer, but it does better than most in the same category. I still like the replica clean girl scent better, but this is a lot better than the regular light blue. Probably not for me but this one is the closest so far. I think a lot of these "fresh scent" perfumes get accused of having bad longevity when, in reality, they're just so soft that the wearer and those around them go nose blind to them.

Opens with a lemon-pledge at the first spritz, but after a few moments it settles into something quite refreshing and pleasant. I'm picking up a dominant lemonade and green apple; its inoffensive, clean and unisex-leaning. I’d happily wear this in a hot, humid climate, it feels very fresh and uplifting while still having presence. I don’t really pick up the jasmine tea unfortunately, but perhaps it will emerge more in the dry down. edit: The dry down is lovely, its growing on me. I just want to spritz this all over and walk under the sun.

At first all I got is this overwhelming lemon citrus scent, which is exactly my vibe, but then I got home realized it’s apple and I felt nauseous, it very instinctively reminds me of an older perfume I had just can’t name it yet, the dry down is prettier, but it’s faint!!! Zero longevity, it’s like throwing your money in the bin, that’s how weak the performance is. I would be more mindful next time purchasing perfumes like this. It’s lovely but for one second. lol

Capri in Love? That's a catchy name-positive vibrations inclooded. Nonetheless, this perfume speaks for itself. It is noble: doesn't show much, but it is sophisticated. The balance between apples and jasmine tea is alluring. It actually smells sunny, citrusy. I like its gentle greenness. Projection is not strong, but modesty makes it very pleasant and likeable for long time.

Never been a fan of the light blue range. However this Flanker is spot on. I was dubious to try it as I'm not a huge tea lover in fragrance but this is so subtle. I get very citrus vibes from it . Fresh, clean and perfect for sunny days. Longevity isn't great maybe 2 hours max on me. But alot of fresh scents are the same so I'm happy to re apply

The bottle is very pretty. Sprayed on my arm and the apple scent was very present. After about an hour it dries down to a soapy note. It's not unpleasant and in my opinion might be good unisex scent since it's quite inoffensive on the skin. Gives off a clean and fresh vibe albiet quite simple. Definitely a warm/sunny weather scent!

This is built around crisp apple and jasmine tea, and the apple is so bright that it reads like citrus even though it isn’t. The longoza adds a clean floral‐spice lift, keeping everything airy and modern. It’s transparent and not dense at all — not like the OG Light Blue. Pretty and pleasant.

As a previous Light Blue hater.. this flanker is beautiful. While manly a summer wear this really can be worn anytime you want a sparkling, slight lemon, airy, and cool perfume.

Very fresh jasmine tea with crisp green apple. Easy dumb reach for summer. Pretty bottle. Uncomplicated and straightforward. Very strong for this type of fragrance.

My least favorite of all the flankers and the only one I will not be purchasing. Bland and nondescript fruity floral with no impact, has a bit of dirtiness to it.

This scent reminds me of home; of a warm cup of tea with milk with family :P I’ve only ever tried it in store but I love it for that nostalgic home-y feel😻

A delightfully green, citrus fragrance with light floral and apple nuances. Performance as expected with this line, spray heavy and often.

Beautiful fresh scent but unfortunately very weak, and short lasting. I'm wearing it for an hour now, and no trace of it whatsoever.

D&G has put out some bangers over the years. The OG Light Blue is up there.. it was *everywhere* but also nowhere. Everyone had a bottle but it was sort of a mysterious scent. You could smell it on your high school boyfriend or girlfriend but only when you went in for a kiss, or when you were getting ready side-by-side with your best friends in a cramped bathroom. It is forever etched into my memory and the associated coming-of-age emotional nostalgia. My initial reaction to Capri in Love roused similar memories and frankly, after wearing it for about 8-hours, I am slightly underwhelmed. Not because it is a subpar fragrance, to be clear. It is absolutely a likable, wearable, pleasant summer scent. It just does not have that *je nais se quois*, unfortunately. Opens up bright and citrusy. Jasmine is beautiful, not getting much of a tea scent, but I do get a warmth and a bit of spice. Settles nicely into a slightly tart, slightly sweet, lemon juice squeezed on freshly sliced apples with delicately peeled ginger throughout. After about an hour these brighter notes, much less realistic, nevertheless veer away from becoming noxious or pungent. After 5-6 hours it is hardly detectable on skin. Not bad, not great, but overall rather underwhelming and meh. Will need to test it outside of (quite chilly) air conditioned indoor spaces, however, as it may simply not have performed as well due to the environment. Decent price, even better with coupons/discounts, but may fall short of expectations.

This is a clean floral fragrance with a touch of spice. While pleasant enough, it doesn’t really feel like a Light Blue flanker to me. The lemon and cedar / musk elements that are so characteristic of the Light Blue DNA are absent here. It smells classy and well put together, but I also get a slight “granny” vibe from it at times. It actually reminds me quite a bit of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, though not quite as refined. It’s not the worst release in the Light Blue line, but as mentioned, it feels disconnected from what made the collection so popular in the first place. In fact, I find myself wondering why this was launched as a Light Blue flanker at all. Apart from one shared note, it has nothing in common with the original. But I suspect launching it under the established Light Blue banner was simply the easier and less expensive marketing decision than building a new line from scratch. I’m also not a fan of the bottle design. The painted artwork looks a bit cheap in my opinion, and I dislike opaque bottles that don’t allow you to see how much juice is left. Had I been able to properly test this fragrance beforehand—using a sample and wearing it for a full day rather than spraying it on a paper strip or a wrist in-store—I would not have purchased it. Like many Light Blue flankers, this was a blind buy because I love the original. Unfortunately, it’s one of the few blind buys I regret. My advice: test before you buy.

Well, this just got removed from my whislist *womp, womp*. I have tried it in store and I loved how fresh and clean this scent was. And this is still true, BUT! I've purchased a sample of this to test it and while it smells like clean girl summer in a bottle, it performs like any other, much more affordable EDP or EDT. I have recently discovered the Elizabeth Arden fragrances and they are cheaper and perform just the same. I can't justify spending this much on a perfume that I will have to keep reapplying because the longevity is so week. And I know that this is generally a struggle with clean smelling fragrances, but that's exactly why I would opt for a more affordable version. If I will use it up quickly, because I have to overspray and reapply it, than it's just not worth this price for me.

I received a sample of this days ago and didn't test it or even look at the packaging until today because I didn't like Light Blue. I love the strong opening, I could smell the apple and tea. It smells very gorgeous on my skin. Then the smell slowly fades away. In about 5 minutes, the apple started to smell like car air freshener then fades away. Now after 15 minutes, it's just skin scent. It's fresh, clean and green and subtle musk. It's okay but it's not for me because I prefer perfume that has strong projection and longevity. Projection: 3/10 Longevity: 2/10 Overall Rating: 4/10

I love a good tea fragrance, but this one falls flat for me unfortunately. Like most other tea frags, it opens beautifully and disappears shortly after. Normally this can be forgiven because the smell is so good, but this one is awfully generic. To my nose, it smells just like Replica Under the Lemon Trees, which has been out for years now. I love that scent. This one just has zero staying power

Initial spray smells like a lemon Italian ice. To some it may smell more like Pledge furniture polish. I’m yearning for a little extra sweetness. It smells like a man could also wear this. Might be good for layering, if you want to add some tartness to a marshmallow scent, but it’s not very interesting on its own.

I was so shocked when I looked at the notes for this, because to me this is a fresh squeezed lemon and nothing else. Personally I don’t care to smell like a lemon, but it’s not off-putting

Very fresh lemon candy scent. Basic but kinda of refreshing. I also get a hit of soapiness in the drydown.

Kingdom of boredom. It opens citrusy + aldehydes for the usual "zing" used in fresh fragrances, then a "green" amyl acetate accord builds up with an hint of generic flowers touch. If you put your nose right on the skin here and there you can get an hint of something spicy, mild, undefined (pepper?), as everything else in this perfume. After 2-3 hours it then dries down into a sligltly earthy patchouli thing that reminds the OG but sweeter and worse in general. To conclude, it is not terrible but the question is, why this thing does even exist? If you want the light blue dna OG is better, it does not add anything new, it's boring, without any value per se or any artistic intention. Who is the target of this perfume?

Just purchased on sale. Complete blind buy. My thoughts as they happen; Harsh cleaner. Chemically. Actually gives me a headache which is rare. I smell like I dumped a gallon of artificially sweetened grapefruit juice on myself. Stings my nose. 30 minutes later it has settled down a lot on my skin but on my clothing, not so much. It reminds me of when I thought I wanted to be a crunchy mom and got into diffusing those MLM oils in the house instead of burning candles. Luckily, on skin it lasts a very short time. 100% changing my shirt. Not for me. My teenage daughter walked behind me and said I smelled “clean. Like the dentist’s office” whatever that means. For reference, our dentist’s office is very new and clean.

I love a jasmine tea note, but unfortunately the green apple dominates and gives this an acidic high note which soars above the rest of the fragrance with a cutting sour tang. It might be the green apple which gives this chemical sharpness but it’s too sharp for me. It reminds me of another green apple-sour freshie: Un Jardin Sur Le Toit. Overall, it’s a simple sunny freshie and great to wear during a heat wave but so so sour, like enamel corrosive sour. So you must love the greenest of tangy apples to appreciate this.

I am so disappointed with this one. Don’t get me wrong, it smells amazing when first applied. But it has zero projection and zero longevity! The original Light Blue is an Eau de Toilette; Capri in Love in an Eau de Parfum, so it should be stronger. But it’s not! I have Bath and Body Works sprays that last twice as long. Save your money, ladies, and skip this one.

I tried it at Nordstroms in the US. I LOVE most flankers of light blue. This one I didn’t care for. It started out nice and fresh and sweet like summer vibes. But it quickly turned soapy on me. I’m guessing it was the longoza that I didn’t like since I’m not familiar with that note. If you don’t like the citrus versions of these flankers, you may like this one!

This is almost nothing. Love jasmine tea and apple notes but I just can't detect anything of them. It's just a very faint citrusy air freshener that disappears in minutes and has zero projection. Even the OG Light Blue EDT is a brutal beast comparing to this one. What a shame. It's easier to burn your money in a campfire than purchasing this... :-(

I’m mostly disappointed by how weak this scent is. It completely dissipates on a tester strip. It’s not bad but nothing I would spend money on. The real kicker is that I prefer the same version of this fragrance as a Pour Homme. That one is also unisex enough to suit a woman who wants to seem mysteriously sexy during summer

Opening smells like a cleaning product, however after a while the stinginess disappears and forms a slightly powdery but fresh scent. Not my cup of tea.

Smells bad on my skin, as does light blue. I wanted to try this hoping it would be different but all I can smell is chemicals. Just a metallic , chemical smell. The dry down was bad. I was scrubbing my arm and could not get it off. These are lovely for some but not for everyone. Would not blind buy this!!

This perfume of mine is also an example of that sad phenomenon: it doesn't matter what scent is in the bottle because people buy the brand and the packaging. Thank you for this experience, this is weak even for a toilet air freshener!

It's just a little fruity scented water, barely noticeable, very weak. I didn't feel anything on my skin or on the paper, however it gave me an unexpected allergic cough attack.

Am I the first one in the comment section who has nothing else to say but 'everything the best' for this perfume? I received it yesterday, and I was really afraid of what to expect because I read comments that this has been a cleaning product like, gasoline, watery, or whatever else. First, the original Light Blue DNA is obvious. I suppose the apple and tea give that green feeling all the time. The green notes are the most prominent ones. I think there is more than it's listed on the perfume box and here on Fragrantica, maybe some distant white floral and musk in traces. Second, it pulled out 4 hours of longevity, which is totally fair for this kind of perfume. The scent is intimate, stays close to the skin, and you get surprising pleasant whiffs every now and then. It lasted for at least 3 hours more as a skin scent, which for these 40+ degrees Celsius temperatures where I live, I think it's more than great. Surely, the bottle design reminds me of the finest porcelain. If you love the original Light Blue, and the other iterations like Sunset in Salina, Love is Love, Intese, you will love this too.
