Light Blue Eau de Parfum

This is SO good and blew my mind when the sales associate at Ulta recommended me this. I sprayed this on one side and the edt on the other and both were good but I significantly enjoyed this one way more. There’s something about the edt that is spicier than this and it’s too fresh for me. This is a nice summer almost gourmand perfume since the lemon is present but it’s fresh and not sour, and there’s something so comforting about it, I believe it to be the cinnamon and benzoin. I’m obsessed. Comparing this to devotion DNA I also enjoy this more, it’s almost like a fresher cleaner version of that. This is a good go to for spring and summer especially since it’s so hot where I live. It just smells like I stepped out of a luxurious spa and I never thought I’d fall in love with a perfume in that scent profile but here it is! I had to buy it right away. I think this perfume is pretty unisex maybe leaning a little more feminine because it’s sort of sweet. I will update later on how the projection and longevity is.

Woah this may be my favorite of all the light blues! I like the EDT and have a bottle of the Intense and a travel of the Light Blue Forever Cologne (love the grapefruit in that). This one grabbed me immediately, it almost is reminding me of something close to the holidays? It's fresh but spicy, I feel like it could be unisex. If a spicy fragrance is usually "red" spicy this is "yellow" spicy, lemon fresh but some warmth in the base. What a nice surprise I didn't even know they released this I was randomly given this tester by a friend. Note: I don't know if it's because I have worn Eilish 3 recently but it's oddly reminding me of the holiday spiciness in there, except instead of fir trees it's lemon!

I really love it but I can see why it's not for everyone. Not a safe blind buy. It lasts 12h+ hours on my skin but I got a similar performance with the 00's OG. Some comments say it nothing like the original but, in my opinion, it shares the same DNA with a nostalgic familiar feel with a twist. Feels like when you reconnect with your high-school best friend and they are the same person but slightly different and all grown up with husband, kids and a job (not a boring job! She is creative and active). The top is a mouth watering juicy lemon that after a while tones down to give way to the soft florals. It is a fun scent, workplace friendly and definitely summery. It's my new summer signature scent.

I agree that this perfume is not light blue at all. I don't really know why they called it light blue edp because it has entirely different perfume. It doesn't say in the note pyramid that it has any lavender, but I swear I smell lavender in this thing. I sprayed this on skin at four in the afternoon, and I could still smell it on my arm the next day, at ten in the morning. It's very nice. It lingers on the unisex side of things. While i'm bummed it's not really a longer lasting version of light blue, i really love this perfume in how it smells and it's longevity. I definitely agree.It was misleading marketing though. It's way more fruity opening and lasting floral. 8/10 would recommend.

I have never liked the OG Light Blue. I was at Macy's, and the sales associate asked me to try this one. I was skeptical, and assumed I wouldn't like it since I never liked the original DNA. Boy, was I in for a surprise. Its an immediate love. I find it to be very well balanced, refreshing, and maybe a hint of sweetness. This is going to be a staple summer perfume for me. I purchased a 100ml right away.

Ohhh, this is so beautiful, I think it’s one of the best of their new releases! Sweater, more floral and tropical but still with light blue dna.

Amazing release. Creamy-lotiony version of the original. Lasts longer and has the same mood boosting effect.

This is really beautiful. It’s not too heavy or cloying, but leaves a beautiful trail. Perfect summer scent.

Light and fresh. Office friendly

I was expecting this to be very lemon and citrus forward, but this was surprisingly more floral. While it does open up with a nice juicy lemon, the dry down leans synthetic and reminds me of something akin to a less gourmand and more floral Whisked Away by Squishmallows (I think it's that cinnamon note lol). I definitely agree with the other reviews that say it has an apple or apple juice smell to it, definitely feels like there’s some undisclosed apple note here. It's not a super strong or long-lasting scent either for an eau de parfum, only lasting me a couple hours at best with no projection at all. I do like the overall scent though.

Quite pleasantly surprised, as I didn’t expect anything groundbreaking. I tried it after PerfumeSiren mentioned it on her Instagram and suggested giving it a go. I understand why those who love the EDT might not enjoy this version as it’s very different to it. For me, I sprayed it and went out, and I noticed that the drydown reminded me a little of Angel’s Share by Kilian. I got apple, cinnamon and woody vibes, not bad! It sits close to the skin, and the longevity is moderate.

This scent is addictive. It feels sophisticated and seductive. But it's a like, rather than love. The cinnamon spice throws me off a bit, but I suppose that is what adds to its warmth. I like it better than the OG, and it has slightly better staying power given that its an EDP. Projection is meh. But worth a full bottle for sure.

It’s so creamy and elegant, office friendly. This to me smells like I am on a iate in Italy. I wanted to buy capri in love but I decided to try this one too and ended up buying this one. I can’t compare it to the EDT version as I don’t buy EDTs. But this perfume is solid and has a good longevity for a summer perfume

It’s nice and fresh in the opening. I prefer this one than the original one. The dry down reminds me of commodity milk Orchid for some reason. It’s like fresh version of it.

Just a solid, slightly sweet, lemon fragrance that to me is unisex. Good for summer, longevity is only about 5 hours on my skin, but that is common with this line. 7/10

It’s okay. It does have a slight bit of the original DNA, but it doesn’t smell as fresh and the Frangipani in it does not lean tropical. And there’s something background that annoys me. There’s a muskiness in it. I prefer the original EDT. This one smells quite generic. It doesn’t smell bad, but I could’ve done without this one.

Very bright, very pleasant, very boring. Smells like a very wealthy older woman on her beach vacation. Safe as all get out.

I bought this hoping it would be a worthy successor to Light Blue Intense, which was sadly discontinued. If anyone is wondering the same thing: no, it isn’t. On my skin, the fragrance opens sweet, with an odd bitter undertone that feels out of place. The cinnamon is far too prominent, drowning out any sense of freshness and sophistication. After an hour or two, the scent settles into a sweet and somewhat petroleum-like accord. It’s difficult to describe precisely, but there’s a synthetic, slightly oily quality in the dry-down that I find quite unpleasant. What disappoints me most is the complete absence of the Light Blue DNA. The original line built its reputation on clean, crisp, sophisticated freshness. This version abandons that identity in favor of a generic sweet profile that could have come from almost any mainstream release. Unfortunately, this reflects a broader trend in the fragrance industry. It seems that every new launch is designed to be sweeter than the last. Even the Libre line has become increasingly sugary with each flanker. At some point, one has to ask: who exactly is this for? Do brands really believe that modern women want to smell like candy and pastries all day? It is sad that this release carries the Light Blue name while sharing very little of what made the collection distinctive in the first place. Had this been launched under a different name, I might have judged it more fairly. As a Light Blue scent, however, it feels disconnected from the character and spirit of the line. A missed opportunity—and a disappointing replacement for a fragrance that never should have been discontinued. Bring back Light Blue Intense!

I really wanted to like this but the amberwood / ambroxan is way too strong and overpowering. You know when you sniff the atomizer before you even spray on skin and the antiseptic smell hits you strong and hard? That is what I got with this. I sprayed on skin to give it a fair try and it’s just lemon and amberwood. I don’t get all the other nuanced notes like cinnamon and florals. The OG is much nicer.

Wrist test in Douglas. Starts dreamy - light, citrus tinged florals, so summery, airy and full of sunshine. Unfortunately after 2 hours the amberwoods start to dominate and the rest is gone. It feels woody, harsh and masculine at this stage. The original is a great summer scent but this is a frontloaded dud.

This is so much more masculine than the original. They completely turned the woody notes up and added cinnamon. Not a safe blind buy if you like the original. It's too much like men's cologne for me personally

This is NOT light blue, it's something else completely that retains nothing of the charm of the original. It's generic and sweet and even the synthetics in the drydown smell different (sigh amberwood...). I want this to be scrapped and a proper EdP to be made.

Gosh I dislike it so much. Opens as a fair refreshing summer scent then quickly turns into a rancid apple juice mixed with mosquito repellent. It's quite long lasting - good for you if you like the smell. Not for me, unfortunately

Not sure why this is getting hate, I had OG edt and we all know it lasted hour at most, also had the discontinued intense in 2018 , sprayed this new EDP and could smell it on my clothes 5 hours or so, this is much improved. I will say it smells 80% similar EDT and also the intense has the citrus and breezy vibes but dries to fresh sweet amber slight cinnamon but nothing overwhelming. Is huge hit with me I can finally purchase this and it not be a waste of money as I'll get some longevity from it finally! I don't get much frangipani , still lemony and breezy with some depth, a night out in the tropical can take this from day and night!

i actually think this performs significantly worse than the edt. i tested both the other day at nordstroms (one on each arm) and could clearly smell the edt after a few hrs but there wasn't even a trace of the new edp. it's also super expensive. think i'll stick the the edt especially since they sell refills for it now. plus the reformulation of the edt is great. weird marketing strategy imo to release a super underwhelming edp version when the edt has been out for so long. feels like this should have been done a long time ago and done.. better?

I have been wearing Light Blue edt since 2002,and then I have switched mostly to Light bLue intense because it resemles the OG version before the reformulation the most. This new release reminds me of Escape to Panarea version - anyone else feeling this way? I like it. It's not mind blowing but it's warmer and deeper. Citrus is significantly toned down and not as loud and screechy as in the OG. If you are Light blue fan it's worth having it.

I have this new Eau de Parfum and also own the Intense. The EDP is similar to Intense but it feels more golden and honeyed as opposed to cool and fresh. The cinnamon gives the EDP depth and I get a lot of green apple (even though it's not showing here in the notes). I feel like this would cut through the air nicely, leaving a pretty scent trail on a hot day as it projects more than the other light blues.

This is an interesting one. At first it smells like play-doh but after the initial application it reveals its ambery side. It’s definitely unisex and if you are looking for that tart apple of the original you are not going to find it here. The one is al about the lemon and warm woods. The frangipani isn’t tropical at all. It’s more of a woodsy floral that heavy floral.

Just tried this one on skin. You can definitely smell the original DNA, but with the citrus toned down. I find the OG a bit boring now, and it used to be my signature scent almost 20 years ago... I like this new version, but the cinnamon reminds me of Khamrah from Lattafa in the dry down. Not sure I love it though. It is ok.

I find this to be a soft cozy scent not abrasive or too fruity or even lemony I really enjoy it I never liked the original and I love lemony fresh scents but it would turn too sweet this one reminds me of another scent I can’t put my finger on I want to say milk musk but not really it has that vibe though

This is very nice, but pretty much a skin scent. Seems more like an edt than a parfum. It has a bit of the original light blue dna but it’s smoother and not as sharp on the citrus notes. A little floral. Not as fresh as the others, has a sweetness to it. I notice a lot of amber, but it’s not heavy.

Finally, the drydown also has a lot of Iso E-Super. I've had the original Erba Gold and I can say there's no difference whatsoever. Light Blue simply isn't as potent. The smell is the same!
