Found a 5+ year old vial sample and decided to test it Unusual opening of sweet tomato and mint cocktail. After a couple of minutes, it transformed into a peppermint bubblegum with some small sour citrus hint and developing wood. Surprisingly, the tomato note is still there, but it became a subtle leaf, rather than pure juice. Soon as expected, it went to a sharp, fresh pine at the main stage of the composition with the support of warm amber and musk, that finishes with prominent wooden and floral notes in the background It’s not a frequent comparison, but it gives me the same masculine allure vibe, with the only difference being the occasion: Chanel’s masterpiece is a Mediterranean sea beach near a luxury hotel, and D&G places you in a pine forest near that hotel, that still refreshes with sea breeze Fresh summer fragrance with a charming composition. People say that it’s not the safest blind buy, but I won’t agree. If you’ve been to the salty sea coast once, you’ll absolutely love this fragrance. I actually find it better value than Allure, as the middle and base are more fresh and aquatic, and the freshness is really long lasting, instead of fading quickly . The only downside is that the perfume isn’t popular, so you’d have to spend some time to find it, yet it makes it more unique, I guess

Very citrus forward and bright. Then it is is maybe 80% rind and zesty and 20% juicy. I like how instead of going sweet it goes aromatic marine and salty. As it continues to dry down that marine zesty beach smell keeps on blanketing all of the other notes. The juniper keeps things interesting . It is the type of fragrance that will obviously continue to age very well. For the vibe that this is for I wouldn't change anything . This intense version fixed every issue the original had. It projects really well and has solid sillage . 2 hours plus of projection and sillage from this type of fragrance is very good in my book especially for it having a realistic natural smell. Applying heavily you can push that to 4 hours. It stays strong for another hour or 2. I have been able to smell this on my skin almost 12 hours later . Faintly but it's there. That's 2 sprays on one spot. As far as the sulfur or egg smell people mention. I don't get that at all BUT I can see how some might . It definitely has to do with skin chemistry or maybe a bottle that was stored wrong. Definitely a summer and high heat fragrance. Good for spring too. I love these types of fragrances in the rain so I have been layering it with wood sage sea.salt by jo malone, Creed smw or commodity Moss. This really is solid stuff 7.5/10

Everybody knows Light Blue. It's synthetic, boring, extremely pleasing to women and it sucks at longevity and projection. It is a pleasant refreshment during a hot day but you need to respray every 3 hours because it fades away. With Eau Intense everything changes. The scent I never wanted to buy because of the weak performance, thanks to the intense version, is now in my collection. The longevity with that one is superb on my skin. It's a fresh aquatic-citrusy scent so who would have thought that it's gonna last more than 12 hours on my skin. For 3 hours 2 sprays behind the ears project nicely. It is slightly different than the original Light Blue, especially in the opening, but after some time I can't smell any obvious difference, but I never had a bottle of the original juice. It is still nothing original, it is generic, but when you own some niche scents like me, you know that sometimes you are tired of all that amber, incense and oud and you just want smell fresh at the grocery store or something. Then, that is the right choice guys. Imho it's good for all seasons but it will shine especially during the spring days and summer nights. It is cheap too. Got 100 ml for 40 Euros.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme Intense is the perfect summer scent, capturing those bright, vibrant days. It's clean, intensely fresh, and boasts great longevity. The opening I get grapefruit, juniper, aquatic notes that boost invigorating freshness. It dries into a lightly sweet amberwood where I still get a flicker of juniper from time to time. I adore this scent. This a true compliment getter and a must have for warm weather, although this can be used most of the year. A confident, high performance upgrade to the classic I used since I was a kid. You can dress Light Blue Intense up or down with ease. You can go heavy without being too potent when around people. It was my main fragrance for the longest time. Sillage is within arms reach, but a whispy fly by in the office will get you subtly noticed. As I said before, longevity is pretty much 7+ hours. I only re-apply during the day to smell the opening again. I highly recommend, especially since this iteration might be discontinued.

I test Light Blue Eau Intense Pour Homme from Dolce & Gabbana in few diffrent moments, just to see how it behave. Day 1 – First impresion: Spray it in the morning before work. Right away fresh citrus + ocean feeling hit my nose. My collegues ask me “what is that smell?” even before lunch. Projection strong but not to much. It stay on my skin like almost full day, wich is not normal for fresh parfume. Day 3 – Date night with girlfriend: Only 3 sprays and she tell me “you smell clean but sexy, not heavy”. Whole night she keep comming closer to me. For me this test was 100% sucses. Day 5 – VIP lounge with CEO and founders: I was little nervous, important event. This fragance make me feel fresh but also serious. One founder even ask wich cologne I use. That was nice boost for my confidence. Conclusion: This parfum realy surprise me. Work good for casual, date and even big events. Fresh but strong, last more then I expect. I definetly recomand it.

Some of the comments are funny, someone said it smells like eggs 😂 It does not smell like eggs, but I can see how someone with a underdeveloped olfaction sense interpret it that way, as aquatic or "sea" notes often rely on chemicals like Calone, which can be perceived as sulfurous, combined with the grapefruit bitterness, and the juniper berries I can kind of see how one might smell eggs or eggs shells? To me its more like sea shells, literally the smell you get as you walk on the beach. To me It's a nice aquatic and clean freshie for a sunny day. Good for walks and drinks by the beach. There is also some kind of cooling effect to it (I suspect from the juniper) like you just stepped into AC. I just put it on, just to see if I get any rotten or egg like smell. I sprayed like 10 times... and nah. If you smell eggs from it youre either sick in the head or or you got that sketchy ebay/amazon/walmart 'special' juice.

Upon the initial spray, you are greeted with a fresh citrus aroma that is wonderfully fresh and uplifting for any warm day. The citrus notes are predominantly grapfruit and orange, giving it a zesty and invigorating quality. After a few minutes of the notes, you begin to get some aquatic notes that are a bit salty and do remind me of a light ocean breeze. While it does have these salty notes, this is not as realistic as my bottle of Oud Mineral by Tom Ford. Light blue brings an ocean breeze while not being overly realistic to an actual ocean breeze; this is more of the idea of the ocean breeze like the one you get in an air freshener. After about 30 minutes, the scent gets closer to the skin, and I begin to get a powder-woody aroma that gives up a classical men's cologne profile. The dry down continues to project close to the skin to about the 4th-hour mark before it disappears from my skin.

Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense is a very solid release from the house. Starting with presentation: that velvety box - just like the orginal - and the shape of the bottle with that beautiful "light blue" colour juice is just stunning. About the scent itself. It's actually a intense take on the original Light Blue, with the saltiness a bit toned down. Nonetheless, it's fresh, citrus and aquatic, just like the original, with better longevity - 8h to 9h -, projection - 2h - and sillage. You will get noticed with this fragrance. Light Blue Eau Intense isn't a original release or a unique/groundbreaking fragrance, but for a Summer scent, it's very versatile - you can dress it up or down, can be used in the office and in Spring and Fall will do just fine - has amazing performance and it will get you a quite amount of compliments. Well done D&G!

It reminds me of Versace Pour Homme, except the Versace has this annoying zingy/sharpness I don't enjoy. It's persistent throughout the entire life of the fragrance. The D&G is just a way better version of VPH. It's tart, juicy, fresh, salty and all without that sharp cloying sensation in my nose. Don't get me wrong, they're not perfect copies of each other. This is just what I wanted VPH to be and I'm very happy having had blind bought this. It lasts most of the day. It leans fairly masculine but women could easily pull this off. It's simple, clean and fresh without being over simplified; there's thought put into it's simplicity. It certainly has an early 2000's feel but it's modern enough that I think it's timeless. There's a reason it's still popular all these years later.

Here is my very honest review of Dolce and Gabbana light blue intense. Firstly I want to say I smell absolutely no egg whatsoever in this masterpiece. It starts with an incredibly smooth, fresh citrus burst with a little woods in there. Then maybe after about 20-30 mins it dies down a little into a beautifully fresh, aquatic scent which is genuinely incredible. Pretty versatile since its so fresh Overall Smell 9/10 I LOVE freshies Performance 7/10 not as bad as everyone says maybe about 4-6 hours Versatility 7.5.10 Wouldn't wear it in winter however perfect for a hot summers day and can be worn at school or at special occasions take your pick Overall 8.5/10 Super fresh and incredible smell and great for the 50 quid I paid

When I smell this I imagine this is how a millionaire smells like after getting off his Bentley or rolls Royce and walking past normal people. This smells like you’re rich and you own a yacht or a nice boat. It’s smell so fresh and vibrant and people notice it. I bought it blind it and it’s really good in my opinion. It kinda smells like the Bvlgari Atlantique if you’ve ever smell it. Don’t over spray it tho if you’re gonna be in a closed space full of people because it’s EDP and it’s more concentrated than a regular EDT and it might be too much for some noses around you. But if you wanna smell like you have money buy it and you’ll see I was not kidding.

One of my first fragrances was Light Blue Swimming in Lipari, so this scent profile is very sentimental to me. I still have my original bottle with just a little juice left at the bottom, and every now and then I like to sniff it to be reminded of simpler times. I loved it so much that I truly believed nothing could ever top it. But this one - Eau Intense - is simply A M A Z I N G. It has everything I love about Swimming in Lipari, now elevated with Mediterranean aromatics and a more pronounced citrus presence. 10 out of 10. A true one-and-done summer fragrance. The undisputed GOAT of aquatics. Summer vacation in a bottle.

I just received a new bottle today, since my old 200-ml bottle is finally empty. What struck me right away was the difference when I opened it: The new "Made in Italy" version (manufactured in 2025) has a much stronger lemon scent and is noticeably "more" than the salty seawater "Made in France" version (manufactured in 2018). I haven’t tested it much yet, but the difference is definitely noticeable right away when you first open it. Aside from the scent, I also noticed that the packaging is now smaller and a darker blue than before. I hope I like it just as much as before; otherwise, that would be a real shame.

This was an instant classic for me. I like the OG, but this is the perfect summer scent IMO. Not "cleaner-ish", not "shower-gel-ish", just fresh, the right amount of citrus and sea salt and the right amount of projection and longevity. I get a routine 4-6 hours on skin and a consistent 6 on clothing. After 8 it is still there, but has faded so one could only smell it within 6-8 inches of the application location. A lot of "intense" frags go too far for me, with too much of one thing or another. This one is just right, and will always remain in my collection. Well done D&G, this one is a timeless classic!

This was my favourite designer summer fragrance, sad to see it discontinued, but I think the new light blue edp will be a modernised take of light blue eau intense, anyways back to light blue eau intense it's a beautiful Citrus, ocean and woody base. The opening is bright and light Citrus thats stays for about half an hour or longer, then it begins to transition into that unforgettable sea water note for me it wonderful it's a fresh sea breeze kinda smell, but the base is a woody and white musk which in my opinion just enhance that marine note for even longer, so this was the best marine fragrance ever

it is strong, it is nice, and it is masculine. i can't smell any of the orange top notes, however. its super ocean breeze like and smells almost salty or a beach with a mix of seaweed and heavy salt spray mixed in the juniper. the musk smell makes it very moody and i think that is what sells the ocean the most. its like a pirate smell... it lasts all day on my skin (yay!) and the sillage is moderate to strong. its a scent that you would want to smell while hugging someone.... its the colors deep navy blue, blue, and yellow. i do super like it although i can see where it might not be for everyone.

This fragrance comes with the scent of citrus trees that fill the countries of the Mediterranean basin ... Then comes the heart of fragrance, which is the scent of seawater in the middle of the summer ... The base of the fragrance consists of Magician Amber. The fragrance maker created an excellent mixture of aromatic substances to come out to us. The scent lasts for several hours ... Light Blue pour Homme Eau Intense is outstanding compared to other summer fragrances ... Also suitable for evening periods with high temperatures, it's one of the few fragrances that I would buy again.

This is the gem of the Light Blue Pour Homme line. The pepper and incense are removed and salt and marine notes added into the Light Blue DNA. It can smell weird up close so I avoid applying it on my arms and stick to the chest and back of neck or back of head so I can catch it in the air. At times I think it has dissipated but I think Im just becoming anosmic to it. 5 Sprays usually does the job for this one. This has been quietly discontinued and no longer listed on the D&G website this year so grab your bottle from Jomashop while it is still available for $50 on the grey market!
