Light Blue Love Is Love Pour Femme

I'm getting close to finishing my 5mL decant of this, so time to decide if I want a full bottle or not. I've already left a review before, but it was early in my perfume journey. I'm still enjoying this! I pretty much only smell fruit (raspberry most, then lemon), unlike the OG which smells like lemon, apple, and some perfuminess (florals and musk, and I guess wood). Juicy gourmand. Makes my mouth water. I feel like it reminds me of a raspberry juice drink or something. Not very complex imo, but not everything needs to be, and would be great for layering (I should try, it's only just occurred to me! Maybe with chance eau tendre?). I'm thinking about my other raspberry dominant decant, Mon Paris, and which one I'd grab a full bottle of. Mon Paris is much more perfumey. I'd probably recommend it over love is love, but I think I personally prefer love is love. It's very simple but I just like it, and the perfuminess and strength of Mon Paris was a bit much last time I wore it. I hypothesized in my last review that this wouldn't be good for hot hot days, and the sun is currently blasting me in the car and the sweetness is cranked. I wouldn't say it's cloying, but it's certainly not refreshing like the OG would be.

LB Love is Love is a Wow for me! It's much more appealing on my skin than other LBs in this line (I've tried LB, LB Intense and LB Sun, all just a meh for me). The opening of LBLove is fresh tart, lightly sweetened lemonade flavored with a hint of raspberry & granny smith apple followed up with very light whipped cream & ice cream notes which marries with the zesty lemon note after 15 min resulting in a heavenly slice of lemon meringue pie. This is fresh sexy and makes me smile. If you are a gourmand lover who wants a fresh citrus summer fragrance that is sexy yet approachable, then sample this! I cannot detect any amber or musk on my skin after dry down (maybe they will be more noticeable in hotter weather), and the cedar is mild. The only disappointment is the poor performance & projection; it dies down to a skin scent on me after 2.5 hrs. Performance is better on clothing. D&G please improve performance on this- Love is Love intense please! Since it's fresh and not too overtly sexy, and since the performance is poor, I would wear this to work in the summer, freshen up mid-day and not worry about offending those around me.

This is so refreshing and lively, but sweeter than light blue. It's like a fizzy, delicious raspberry lemonade. I get the original Light Blue DNA of lemons and cedar, but the sweet berry notes make it much more alluring. I don't get any ice cream or creme chantilly vibes, but I don't mind, a sparkling, almost drinkable raspberry-citrus soda perfume with a woody-musky undertone is just as good. Unfortunately there is a major downside to this. I often find complaints about longevity exaggerated, but in this case, they are true. This starts out fine but turns to a very thin, barely there skin scent in a couple of hours. It's gone way quicker than L'Imperatrice or any Escada, just to give a comparison to other light fruity scents. The best scenario to use this is for running quick daytime errands when you want to switch to something heavier in the evening. I don't think this is worth the full price even though I love the scent. I might consider a small bottle if I see it heavily discounted when the summer is over, as that often happens with Light Blue flankers.

I have ordered this and am waiting on its delivery so this is merely a forward to my review. I am no expert but I feel this one is being thought of incorrectly. The brand clearly states an addition of red berries and raspberry gelato. Not ice cream. Fragrantica just used the note of ice cream because it’s the closest thing they thought would work? I personally think they should have used sorbet instead. Maybe people are seeing the picture of the ice cream therefore smelling it (for some) when it’s not really there. But others are EXPECTING to smell ice cream and not then being disappointed. Idk. Just my thought. This has happened to me with other scents SO that being said I am EXPECTING a raspberry gelato note which to me is tart sweet and more watery than an ice cream. Edit: yes, I know gelato is a dairy based dessert but I have had raspberry gelato and it was, like I said above, more tart and fruity than a traditional American ice cream

🍋 🍓🍒🍦🫧 The opening was exactly the same as the OG, but an hour later it was way sweeter and the dominant note was raspberry. My skin has a history of sweetening up scents, but this went so sweet, I'm not sure it would be good in the summer anymore, like the OG. Regardless, I love spring fruity scents, and can easily see this as my go to raspberry scent. Of course, you don't have to have a perfume for every fruit type, but I do love raspberries! Edit to add: the raspberry smells like the flavour in gummy lollies i.e. red frogs! Which I don't love, however, it also reminds me of this raspberry lemon icy pole thing I had when I went to the art gallery with my sister years ago, which is a nice scent and memory I would like to spray myself with

Very very nice scent. Very fresh and the perfect choice for the hot summer and spring days. The opening is citrus-fruity, then the ice-cream comes. It is not seductive for me at all (guys should have the final word here), it is just fresh and mood lifting. The performance is poor, but for EDT it is pretty good I'd say. I didn't expect to be super powerful, plus the fresh scents perform poorer. I don't mind to respray every so often with this one. I'd definitely recommend it - for me it is better scent than the original and the Intense versions. Edit: The bottle looks damn cheap compare to the rest Light Blue. The plastic cap is really annoying me - it hardly closes from the first time. DG could do a bit better on that.

Wow, I surprisingly fell hard for this! I have NEVER owned light blue or any of its flankers but the description of the raspberry Gelato or ice cream with whipped cream on top of the o.g. citrus/fruit notes sounded amazing - and they are! This is light blue with a tablespoon of sugar in the mix to tone down any potential bitterness in the citruses. It is bright, lightly sweet and perfect for summer as all light blues are! I do agree longevity isn't amazing but with a citrus based EDT I didn't expect it to be. Just make sure to buy from a discounters so the constant need to reapply doesn't hurt the wallet as bad!

I really like this! I purchased this blindly last night at TJ Maxx. This still has the original light blue dna . The best way I can describe this is a raspberry mochi ice cream , the outer layer to be specific . On me it’s powdery , tangy and a bit sweet ! Tart also comes to mind with this scent. All in all I really do enjoy it , I’m wearing it today and I love the wiffs I get . Also I sprayed it last night and this morning I could still smell it . If you’re into the Light Blue line I would definitely recommend trying this .

This one would be 10/10 if they worked on the silage and longevity. I get the OG clean, fresh, cool woodiness with this layer of gorgeous red berries and vanilla cream that actually smells cold. It’s beyond refreshing in the summer. The problem is that even on top of moisturizer and over sprayed like its body spray the fragrance lasts 20-30 minutes MAX. And that puts a dent in the bottle with each use. I’d rather pay a little more and have to use less. But it’s a stunner, best of the Light Blue line for sure

This is really pretty, the raspberry gelato in the top notes is just delicious, sweet and tart without crossing the line into nauseating. I love the original but it started to turn on my skin, something kind of sour and dirty seemed to ruin the lemon, so I had to give it away. I only have a 5ml sample of this but so far it's joyous but sadly very very fleeting. Not sure it's full bottle worthy for that reason. EDIT: it's just so joyful I've had to get a full bottle, luckily got a 50ml for under £28 delivered

A fresher, sweeter, smoother and lighter version of the OG LB and I must say I prefer it this way probably. I do not get much of the creaminess, but I can smell a delicate raspberry note, which just gets on very well with the rest. It doesn't have that earthy note of the OG, which I was never a big fan of (but still loved it despite of that, maybe because of the fact that it luckily subsides after a while). A very nice flanker, definitely in my top 3 flankers of Light Blue.

I love this Light Blue flanker so much that I feel a bit sad that I don’t see this being talked about so much on reviews and fragrance groups. This is such an uplifting scent and I just couldn’t help but smile whenever I smell myself! I do get why people say that the sweet notes are a bit synthetic but I don’t really mind it. For me, this is more refreshing than the original Light Blue. I just wished that this has better longevity.

I love this! This is everything I want in a summer fragrance, its happy, sunny, fresh and sweet :) it gives me positive vibes :) I cant wait for summer so I can wear it! The scent of the original Light Blue is there, but I would almost say this is a new scent...Its not sharp, its very well blended on me. Really really good fragrance :) I think I need a backup bottle. Love Dolce & Gabbana fragrances :)

It opens smelling almost identical to OG Light Blue, but within a minute, the raspberry and ice cream notes come out more and it resembles a sweet yet tart raspberry gelato. Delicious! Like LB and most of its flankers, except for Intense, longevity is lacking. It performs a bit better than Sun, but like Sun, I bought this at quite a discount so I don't mind overspraying and/or respraying.

Sooo yummy, a lot better than the original LB in my opinion It’s still citrusy but a lot sweeter 🥰 Smells very similar to Escada Candy Love to me I blind bought Love is Love for myself for Christmas so I thought I better go to the chemist and smell a tester of it before I commit to opening the box and mannnn I might buy a back up bottle Love it!

A sweeter, creamier, dreamier version of the tried and true. It does have a pretty good longevity on me. I love the soft musk with the creaminess that pops through the dry down. Definitely a good casual spring/summer fragrance for the day. It makes me happy every time I smell it.

Love is Love, and I LOVE this! It smells like raspberry gelato: deliciously fruity with just a splash of sweet cream. The undercurrent of the musk is so nice. It's not soapy at all, just light and fresh. Wearing this will be such a delight this summer!

This scent is AWESOME! I love the way the raspberry is prominent but you still get the DNA of the original. This reminds me of raspberry jello☺️.a nice fun fragrance for a hot summer day. I'm so glad I got this.

I love the scent, a dreamy raspberry citrus lemonade, sparkly, uplifting. The longevity and sillage age non existent though, im talking minutes, half an hour tops. Like a low quality body spray.

Pretty, creamy berry lemonade scent. The ice cream note keeps the citrus from being too sharp. Doesn't not have the best longevity/silage but is fun and fresh for light daytime wear

Original D&G swirled with raspberry lemonade. Very fresh and very sweet, uplifting. Arms' length sillage, lasts around 4-5 hrs, works best in the summer heat.

I like Light Blue, but I LOVE this flanker. That sweet raspberry and whip cream note perfectly balances and cut of the bitterness from the citrus notes.

This is similar to the original but has a gorgeous creamy sweet raspberry dry down. I get decent longevity. Perfect for the spring and summer time ❤️

I love this! It ́s a sweet and tart lemon fragrance. I wish it smelled a little bit louder and that it would last longer. I still love it though.

Amazing stuff, im so glad i was able to scoop it up, it's a shame it's so rare, that and the Pour Homme version, please bring it back

Citrus sweet lovely refreshing uplifting warm weather scent

This is a really nice "feel-good" scent. Fizzy lemon sherbet, raspberry gelato, whipped cream... Super duper sweet and delicious. The opening spray was like a harsh lemon scented cleaning product, but that does fade within seconds, so I'm not overly mad at that. I got a little 9ml sample bottle of this today and while I do enjoy it, I'm not sure I'd ever purchase a full bottle. It does make me think of hazy summer drives, getting a frozen lemonade from a cafe in the warm sunshine, however I agree with other uses, this fades to a faint skin scent within the hour which is disappointing, as that initial cocktail of raspberry, whipped cream and lemon is really uplifting and carefree. This is super sweet, very likable and a safe blind buy if you like light, refreshing scents. I'd be happy to receive a bottle of this as a gift, but I wouldn't go out of my way to own it. EDIT: Be warned! I gave my sample to my mum as a little pick-me-up and I kid you not, we both sniffed her arm and recoiled in horror. She blurted out "It smells like fresh dog poop!" And it did! She ran to the sink to wash it off. It definitely didn't smell like that on me so maybe it's not safe blind buy worthy...

I recently got this as it was on offer, and I can’t say I’m disappointed! To me it has that same light blue dna of that very fresh lemon which smells delicious, however and I don’t mean this in a bad way, it also has some a very synthetic raspberry which adds some fruity sweetness. However for me there’s not really much else to this fragrance, maybe a little bit of red berries and some slight cedar on the dry down but definitely nothing like Ice cream or whipped cream, to me it’s the furthers thing from a creamy type perfume just fresh and with a little bit of sweetness. However I definitely agree with the rest of the comments the longevity is awful, the projection isn’t that bad but (on a cold day) the scent dissapears within no longer than 10mins which is disaapointing.

Almost perfect sweet lemon fragrance, but it takes 6–8 sprays to even begin to smell it. Also leaves an oily residue (although this could be from the almost mandatory over-spraying). In the dry down, such as it is, the lemon and sweet notes disappear first, leaving just bergamot. The bergamot is also what keeps it from being a perfect sweet lemon for me, but to be expected since it’s a core note of the Light Blue series’s DNA. Such a shame that it’s so weak, because this really is an amazing sweet lemon. I’m hoping that it will come to life when the super hot weather returns. Discontinued, which may be for the best, sigh.

The opening of Light Blue Love is Love has the original DNA with more granny smith apple. However, as the fragrance begins to warm on your skin, the raspberry emerges and the overall composition gets progressively sweeter. It almost resembles a tart raspberry gelato. I just wish it were a bit more lactonic because then it would be irresitible. If you thought the original Light Blue wasn't sweet enough, you'll really enjoy Love is Love. I still prefer Sun and the OG, but Love is Love is the most refreshing and fun flanker. Just perfect for summer.

I was able to get a full bottle tester on Fragrancenet. This isn't as sweet as I thought it would be, but the initial opening was really pretty on skin. Lasted about 20-30 minutes. Could definitely smell the raspberry note and the sweetness. Overall the notes that are the most prevalent are lemon, apple and cedar. This is going strong over 4 hours later. I will see how this holds up when it gets really hot outside. ***update 09/09/24*** This layered with Kayali Eden Juicy Apple is a hit. Very refreshing and very happy with my purchase.

It’s ... cute. I’m not in love with it nor do I hate it. Definitely can smell the raspberry lemonade but can’t sniff out the whip cream note. It’s a sugary synthetic smelling fragrance with poor lasting power, on my skin it vanishes in about 30 minutes which is a bit surprising for a sweet scent. On clothes it definitely lasts longer - probably 3/4 hours of wear with 5 sprays. I picture this a great fragrance to wear on a sunny day at the carnival/fun fair eating cotton candy and going on the bumper cars. It’s cute.

I smelled this (on paper) today, and I had to double-check, because I thought the SA had sprayed "Nina" instead!! It's totally identical, to my nose..........and "Nina" was my signature scent during the early 2000s!! A lovely scent, and completely different to the other D&G "Light Blue" line. I like it, but then again I have a soft spot for "Nina". ;) Personally, I wouldn't buy a bottle unless it was highly discounted. Not similar to Moschino's "I Love Love", for the person who was wondering.

This remind me of light blue original. The burst of citrus is what I mainly smell and the cedar & musk that resembles light blue. Raspberry note comes in after it settles down yet still lemon being prominent. It is not as powerful as light blue which I like since the original was strong and I only got one note from it which was very screechy and headache inducing. Love is love lasts on my skin throughout the day but on clothes it fades and smells lighter. It is not a love but a like.

No ice cream or vanilla in this, there is a raspberry gelato note in it. More so like sherbet or an Italian ice raspberry so don’t expect any creaminess. Top Notes; Italian lemon granny smith apple red berries Heart Notes; raspberry gelato jasmine Base Notes; Chantilly accord musk cedarwood amber Too bad for me the cedar note pulls too strong in all of the Light Blues I have tried :( Would probably do better outside in the heat but I won’t keep it around just for that.

I wanted to love this but it’s very weak. I can barely smell anything over the top notes and the red berries and just as soon as you put it on it is gone. I expected more from a light blue flanker, perhaps an eau de Parfum would be more effective. Something about this reminds me of angel eau sucree, although that fragrance is a monster compared. I will use this to layer now that spring is upon us. Maybe with a pure vanilla or rose. Hope others have a better experience.

I blind bought this fragrance because I love the original light blue and the notes in this one looked even better. The opening of this smells identical to the original with heavy citrus and green apple. The dry down is only slightly sweeter and I detect no berry notes at all. Overall, I like it but if I didn't own both to compare, I would think this is the original in new packaging. They really are that similar.

I just got this and i love it. I blind bought this cause testers were not available in my country. It opens with lemon like every other light blue and then apple and cream comes in. Raspberry in this is very neutral, overshaded by apple. I crave more lemon in this but it is still gorgeous safe and fresh fragrance. It fades away really quickly which is a shame cause it is very pricey for such poor longevity.

I prefer this much more than the original Light Blue. It smells refreshing with a touch of sweetness. It does smell like a raspberry ice cream. I am loving it wearing this perfume during this insane ongoing heatwave while most other fragrances in my collections feels a bit too heavy and cloying. Too bad this is a limited edition only.

This is nice for the warmer weather. It’s not one that I’d reach for in the cold weather. It has some of that Light Blue dna with the Granny Smith apple, lemon and the cedar. The ice cream and whipped cream give it some creaminess and the berry gives it a bit more sweetness. It’s an easy wear in warm weather as its nice and light.

This is so lovely! The opening is juicy lemons and berries, so delicious and edible. Like frozen lemonade. No cleaning product smell here, this one is photo realistic and edible. It could be 110°F and you would still enjoy this opening. Beautiful skin scent musky amber dry down. The best Light Blue flanker I've smelled.

this perfume smells like a strawberry lemonade at first when sprayed then dries down and smells like if you dipped a vanilla ice cream cone in lemonade lol. its so lemon-y with ice cream type of feel when it dries down it doesn't last that long maybe like an hour or so but its so good.

I do enjoy Love is Love, it is a nice flanker. I have Light Blue Intense but I have never tried the original. This is a sweeter, creamier flanker but unfortunately the performance isn't great. I will try it in warmer weather and see if the longevity is better at that time.

Sweet version of The OG Light Blue. Upon spray, it smells like lemonade and when sprayed to the skin, its like a lemon candy. For me, this flanker is better and since then, I never repurchased the OG and put it in the list of the perfumes I had.

Reminds me of pink lemonade in the beginning, then dries down to a citrussy, sweet fragrance. I can't really detect the other notes. It's great in warmer weather. Wouldn't perform well in colder temperatures though.

WHAT This was meant to smell like icecream and berries? I wish it smelt like that! I got a light citrusy scent, very similar to the original light blue but not as woody It was very weak on my skin unfortunately :(

Pink lemonade... Citrus and berry opening, light sweet and creamy dry down. 3-6 hrs on skin. Similar to light blue but not as sharp on the citrus and fades sooner. strong cold metallic note on my skin.

Just got this perfume I like the smell but it very weak I have to put ar least 2 spray on myself to even smell it and the only thing I smell is sweet.

I don’t get the ice cream or whipped cream at all. Smells like raspberry lemonade to me. Will be nice on hot days. Not bad.
