I love this new member of Light Blue family. A lot of comments say the light blue DNA is nearly detectable in Light Blue Pour Homme Eau de Parfum (2026). I disagree. The DNA is still there but some other elements outshine the DNA. Some comments also mention the similarities between YSL Y Edp and Light Blue EdP. I can see why. Both have same intensity of sweetness. A concentrated and fruity kind. They share same kinds of citrus fruit and components in the top and middle notes. On my skin, I get guava in the opening. 80% of sweet and 20% of the sourness from guava. It stays on my skin for one hour only. I like it because it adds uniqueness but it does not linger for long. otherwise it would be too feminine to my taste. I don't get too much lemon, orange or mandarin kind of citrus note in the opening which is totally acceptable since citrus note opening is flooding the market of male summer perfume. The blue light DNA starts to come out after 2 hours. Not exactly the same as you can get in Light Blue Edt but close enough. After that, it becomes softer but not distinguishing. It also reminds me of Dior Homme Sport which is also sweet. I was hoping that patchouli would bring some earthiness or freshness to the base note. But I do not get it at all. Some comments asks if Light Blue Eau Intense is discontinued. I think it is.

I just received my bottle today and only sprayed it on my hand and wrist so far. It opens very fruity and bright, with the three listed citruses clearly recognizable. The cypress note comes in a bit later and blends beautifully with the fruits. Overall, it leans more toward the Y line DNA than Light Blue, but it feels less synthetic. The cypress is present but never overpowering (which is great since I usually dislike strong pine or cypress notes). It still feels slightly oceanic, though it lacks that sharp, salty blast you get in many other Light Blue scents. The fruity citrus aspect stays prominent well into the dry-down. For a citrus based fragrance, the performance is surprisingly solid. I can easily detect it 5 to 6 hours later on skin. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a really nice addition to the line. Most citrus fragrances seem best in high heat only, whereas this one feels much more versatile - wearable pretty much year round except winter. The only downside is the price. It’s a bit hard to swallow knowing these go on discounters fairly quickly. I grabbed the gift set at Macy’s since it was only a few dollars more than the bottle during their sale. Also, the bottle and atomizer are surprisingly high quality - a really nice touch. I love the clear bottle. Will update after a couple wears.

I'm in love. The mandarin and cardamom interaction is just beautiful to me. There's a sweetness coming into the open that's not from the mandarin, perhaps from the juniper? The interaction is like that of a tropical fruit though. As it moves into the heart the sea notes pick up the marine Light Blue dna, cypress, and more of a fruity juniper berry. A very good ambroxan cedar base projects strongly over light patchouli to make it the loudest of the Light Blue pour homme line. Is it the biggest departure from the Light Blue line? No, I would argue Capri in Love holds that title. The more time I've spent with this, the more I appreciate it as a true flanker that extends the line vs a limited edition Summer release. For maximum citrus effect I think layering with one of the drier flankers can create an all day citrus experience, namely Eau Intense, followed by Summer Vibes, then Sun.

Surprised! I am not fan of the Original and some of the flankers makes as the original remember to a soft laundry detergent or has a sour citric shade... but is similar to Capri, warmer and pretty inviting. Mandarine note is dominating the marine note that (thankfully is not synthetic). Is very youthful and a bit candied sweetness, my mother LOVES it she is fan of semi aquatic scents, i am pretty sure that it smells to a ZARA scent Weekend Till 8 PM but this one last 30 minutes. BUT the bad thing is that this Light Blue is SOOO EXPENSIVE. Really!! I wouldnt spend that money if i use it after the gym i would prefer the Zara 8pm for after the shower, but as something practical for everyday is a NO, shame is a charming scent

I recently have bought the EDT, EDP, and Intense perfumes from Dolce & Gabbana, and I honestly enjoy all of them. Each fragrance has its own unique style and character. The Intense version is my favourite because of its deeper, richer, and longer-lasting scent. It feels bold, elegant, and perfect The EDT is fresh, light, and very versatile for everyday wear, while the EDP offers a great balance between freshness and intensity, making it suitable for both casual and formal occasions. Overall, I’m very impressed, Also i wish Dolce and Gabbana re release the light blue intense again

I was NOT looking forward to this, I genuinely thought it was going to be Eau Intense rebottled with different juice color. However this immediately became a top 5 release thus far. This opens up with a realistic LV-like citrus with faint green facets and cedar wood base. There was something familiar but I don’t detect the OG DNA. As it dries down, I pick up a slight similarity to the YSL Y DNA while staying original. I think this is a great much needed release for the Light Blue line! I still want them to give us a “Dark Blue” or smoky aquatic a la Dylan Blue/Sauvage Parfum.

The mandarin and grapefruit are so real and juicy. The tartness from the grapefruit and the sweetness from the mandarin balance each other to smell almost like pineapple, but less acidic. The heart of the fragrance has a fresh mountain air by the sea kind of vibe. It's not overly green or woody, it really lets the citrus shine. I'm not sure why people are saying this smells synthetic. To me it's not loud, screechy, synthetic or cloying. It has a decent silage. Can't yet comment about performance regarding longevity, as this is my first wearing. I really enjoy it so far.

Reply to @fragrantical Voyage You’re absolutely right. The EDP feels much more balanced when layered with either the Light Blue original, EDT, or especially the Intense version. The salty marine notes, brighter citrus, and peppery freshness from the original DNA cut through the sweetness perfectly and make the fragrance feel far more complete. That said, the EDP on its own is still really nice too. I layered it with the Intense version today and the combination smelled incredible — honestly even better and more complete than wearing the EDP alone.

Way better than the EDT imo. This has become my favorite scent already. Bought the travel size to try out without killing the wallet if I didn't like it. Since then I've bought 100ml and backups because I want to have this scent around for a while before it becomes a mass market fake. All of the influencers kind of push this one off. Probably because they can't hawk yet it in bootlegged form or on their "discount" sites they push. I hope that if D&G can improve on this in a likely Parfum format it will nicely expand the line, but I'm not sure how.

I see a lot of Y EDT/Edp comments and just have to point out they're both blue frags so that's going to happen. But this one does not have apple, ginger, lavender, vanilla. And Y doesn't have mandarin or grapefruit which I detect throughout. They share a few notes but it's not close enough to say it's like them. I'd say way closer to the EDT, edp comparison is wild. I like this one better than both Ys, I guess I just like the citrus better

If I understand correctly D&G decided to do a hard reset and discontinue all the Light Blue line except: 1. A newly imagined 2025 EDT of Light Blue 2. The fig central 2025 Light Blue In Capri & 3. This 2026 one Light Blue EDP (replacing Intense). This is my favorite of the 3 remaining options. It's a little less bitter and a little more orange than previous versions. Still a strong juniper drydown. A nice successor to the Light Blue DNA.

I’m not crazy about the light blue line but this one is much better, to me it’s very linear and rides the bright citrus the whole time. It has that YSL Y vibe but I like this one better. I can’t speak for longevity since I’m still trying it out but 4 hours into wearing it, I can still smell it fairly well without being over powering. For what it is, it’s definitely overpriced. I would wait for it to hit discounters before picking it up.

Smelled it in store. Bought the 6.7 oz bottle full retail, which I never pay full retail. Had to have it. The old EDT DNA is at the heart of this. It’s more modern and lasts longer. I don’t understand the hate. I don’t get the YSL Y comparisons. It literally smells like the OG, if you added orange, and toned down the salt. I don’t know if it’s the younger crowd or what, but this is modernized nostalgia for me.

Go into an Macys and see for yourself. The realistic mandarin is juicy in this. This stuff is good. Nothing like the previous light blue stuff which I don’t care for. This moves away from the salt sea-like accords and leans more into the fruity marine type. If you must choose between this and the YSL Y line, go with this.

Absolutely LOVE this new formulation. Wonderful marine scent. Great price point. Perfect for everyday use. Much more pleasant and universally appealing than the original. No fishy, egg undertone. An intense version of this would be sweet but I still love this stuff. Signature scent Swiss army knife approved 100%.

I don’t get any original Light Blue DNA in this formula, which I never liked anyway. However, this is amazing! Light, fresh and super citrusy sweet. My fav D&G fragrance! Is it basic? Maybe? But who cares! It smells divine and it’s completely opposite of the original.

My first summer fragnance and oh my! The scent is so good, the opening and dry down is amazing. Not your basic fresh EDT from Adidas, it's unique original fragnance to me, I will absolutely be wearing it all summer. It's very citrusy and fresh, absolutely recommended.

Smells great I wish the performance was a little better though it reminds me of hawas ice honestly, I don’t have a really distinguished nose. But I do like it, I don’t know what I’m smelling half the time and can’t really recognize certain notes.

It's a refined, classier light blue that can be worn out in summer heat or in the office. I don't like the og or intense better than adg but this stuff competes! I've been wearing it all week and have decants for sale on mercari

The best combination of sweet and salty marine tones fragrance with slight citrus drop. Woody drydown but the main tones remain strong. It takes me to the beach with juniper trees and driftwood in the sea.

Really Good stuff. Smells like a mix of lemon heads candy and Pineapple on top. Dries to a soft cypress with the lemon remaining. Should end up being a summer favorite for 2026

This perfume is incredible. I loved and it is so far my fav from the line. And please, don't be an annoying Intense widow, this is another perfume, and that's it.

It’s literally YSL Y Parfum but a more summer citrusy version. Nothing particulary new, but it smells pretty nice. This will blow up at discounters.

I’ve only smelled it in paper, but it reminds me of a gummy bear. Not very oceanic in my opinion, but I might get it when it goes in discount.

This just feels better than the edt, it has more depth and it is more of what the edt tried to do.

Testing strips at Douglas in Germany today. Thought the opening of LB EDP started off smelling like it’s going to be completely new! Within minutes my strip and the spray on my arm evolved to be a clear dupe of..Prada Paradigme! 6 hours later and if anything the LB strip seems to have stuck around longer while Prada has disappeared somewhat. Now, Prada and Paradigme got a lot of rather undeserved shade for casting a wide net fragrance lacking a unique signature, but the reality is most people’s noses aren’t tuned for unique. What they created IS effective as a mass-appealing, just want to smell good dumb reach even if it leans a little more “basic” sweet. Alberto and DG are either making a big endorsement for Prada’s strategy and Paradigme’s DNA (or lazily copying it, probably not hard to do) by assigning what I perceive to be the same formula to a highly anticipated Light Blue flanker. I’ll put Light Blue EDP in the same box as Paradox for now. Prada has an edge if you like refillable bottles or a 30ml size but otherwise I think these are overlapping quite a bit.

So, I bought this perfume, and it’s fantastic. It definitely evokes summertime vibes and has that crisp, clean scent that you’d expect from the Light Blue line. However, there’s one thing to keep in mind: it’s not as bright and noticeable as the eau de toilette version. This might be because it’s the perfume version, so while it lasts for a good number of hours, it’s quite subtle to those around you. It’s not as free-flowing as the eau de toilette, which for me, I lean more towards than the more heavier deeper version, which is this one. To wrap it up, I likely would choose the toilette one over this one simply for the brightness factor, if thats irrelevant to you, then this is a good pick up.

This one was a REALLY good pickup, and I'm glad I got it. First of all, I really enjoy strong fragrances, and this one is super strong. I live in a warm climate, and this just radiates off of you in the heat, and lasts 5+ hours. It's a blend of sweet citrusy freshness, which is perfect for the summer. I personally do not mind that this doesn't smell exactly like the rest of the Light Blue line. To me, it almost has it's own Identity. I will be bringing this one on my vacation!

Really liked this one in the store, but super familiar, very modernized kinda of sweetness, altough I love that sweet citrus style. Not super unique but a solid release! Not retail worthy for me, but good gift for your dad or brother. Edit: This was so familiar though and seeing it now yeah, it IS similar to YSL Y. I felt like this one is decisively summer and spring while Y fits all year round. But there is a similarity there in the sweetness.

Light Blue EDP by Dolce & Gabbana is a nice, fresh fragrance with the familiar citrusy opening and a soft drydown. It smells clean, summery, and very easy to wear, but at the end of the day it’s pretty basic. Nothing in here really stands out or feels special. In saying that, it’s probably my favourite from the Light Blue line so far, just because it feels a bit smoother and more put together overall. 7/10.

I received this as a gift from my girlfriend and both her and I love it. Immediately after spraying this I thought that the DNA seemed very familiar. After sitting on it and doing some research the comparisons to the Y DNA is spot on. Overall, the scent is easy to wear and enjoyable. The performance is OK, you'll get 4-5 hours of arm length projection making this a great office scent.

This was a pleasant citrus forward scent. Its got that typically masculine leaning aromatic to it. It didn't have much sillage. I only smelled it on my husband if I was really close to him. However it did last on his clothes, albeit as a "skin scent," for days. I wouldn't pay full price but if I catch it at a discounter its worth it but otherwise I'll pass on this one.

Smells identical to YSL Y edp to me, try both of them and order whichever one you like. It's 100% redundant to have both Edit: Went to a sephora to smell it again, still smells almost identical to Y edp other than the fact that i do get a tad bit more citrus in this. Still don't see a reason to get this if you own Y edp 🤷

I had the opportunity to smell this today. To my surprise they replaced one of the most iconic and recognizable men's aquatic fragrances with a ysl leaning fragrance. This is the first time I've smelt a new fragrance and felt genuine sadness lol Hopefully they have an updated Intense version coming soon.

Just picked this up without realizing it was new, very exciting and love the smell! The orange just pops for me off the skin immediately and has a nice airy and clean vibe to me. I really enjoy this fragrance and have enjoyed the Light Blue line, especially recently as it's getting warmer out.

Candied spiced citrus on top. Herbs and salty air in the heart and then dries down to a beautiful spiced musky citrus amber. It’s very nice. For a summer designer fragrance, it does the job.

This is a fresh take on D&G Italian Love/Forever. Also if you imagine Eros Energy being pushed towards grapefruit. Longevity is mediocre, but in line with a top note heavy cologne.

It smells clean and fresh very masculine and mature. A good daily driver I could see myself wearing this to basically anything. 7/10

If this smells like YSL Y EdP to you, you seriously need to get your head examined. COVID must have screwed up your brain...

I bought this three days ago and returned it a day ago - I had it for two days. Off the strip and in a decant, it was much better which lead me to buying a 100 mL. This is where I had a big issue. On initial spray, I got about a solid 30 mins of maybe a foot of projection and a decent bubble around me, however; beyond that, it had completely disappeared. Perhaps I was a getting a little anosmic, however; for its EDP concentration, the inability to smell any of the notes and just virtually smell my skin/clothes only and nothing significant from the fragrance was concerning. Paying full retail, I found this unacceptable. The scent still lives on one of my apple watch bands where its pleasant, but for some odd reason past this initial 30 mins on skin and clothes, it vanished completely. I mean - my Dior Homme Cologne on my skin and clothes lasts TREMENDOUSLY longer than this ever did and thats pathetic an EDP can't last longer than DHC. Perhaps a bad batch. I look forward to revisiting at some time at a discounted price, however; I would avoid like the plague until either A. performance is fixed B. its on discounters or a combination of the two if necessary. Scent wise - very citrus forward opening as one would expect with the line with the middle and base notes in the dry down giving that Y YSL EDP vibe, though smelling completely different. The top notes/opening can come off a little "pissy" per se, however; once the middle and base notes come out, that sort of piss vibe backs off. In its dried form on my apple watch band, its gotten to that point past the opening with a tinge of the top notes left over and smells great. I feel like this cologne did not work well in an office that was air conditioned at work right now during the summer months, but when going out to my car at any point during the day where its been exceptionally hot, the fragrance would jump off my skin for a minute or two which was pleasant but then would die back down again.

While this is fairly nice, as someone mentioned before, this new EDP really does not smell like a Light Blue flanker at all. The opening immediately reminded me of the old YSL Y EDT but if you replaced the apple with orange and made the whole thing smell slightly less synthetic, and honestly it has struck me as a bit of a disappointment on first impression. This could have easily been the start of a new men’s line, or perhaps a relaunch of D&G Pour Homme. This has far more of that modern sweet amberwood vibe than I was hoping for, and honestly I’m not sure I’m going to be keeping this one. I can't smell any of the listed middle/heart notes at all. I would easily be more inclined to reach for the reformulated 2025 EDT over this release as that one is far more refreshing and truly retains that classic Light Blue scent profile but slightly modernized. Again this one isn’t bad but I was hoping for something better, right now it smells more like your typical Macy’s men’s designer fragrance with loads of ambroxan than a truly enhanced and longer-lasting take on the classic Light Blue. With all due respect, I almost find it difficult to believe that Alberto Morillas, the perfumer of the original, also did this one because if that’s the case, then he really phoned it in!
