Light Blue pour Homme Italian Love

Grapefruit, bergamot, and vetiver. Thats essentially all this is,but its done so well you wont care. A slightly sweet photo realistic grapefruit merges with the tangy buzz of bergamot to render humid summers clean and give an air of hygenie. The ozonic notes seem to create a tangible cloud, constantly pushing the other ingredients forward. This thing radiates, so be careful in the trigger. A cool vetiver appears halfway through, likely emphasized with additional green note aromachemicals. This vetiver is humble but well done, as it has both a dry and soapy element to it similar to Creeds Original Vetiver. While the majority of the money went to the initial blast, the vetiver sticks around in pleasant whiffs that are noticeable but not overbearing. White musks round out the very end some 10 hours from the trigger squeeze. This is the longest lasting citrus forward scent I've ever had that kept the details, rinds and all, intact for over 3 hours. The scent is clean, young, and fresh but serious enough to work in an office setting. I hope they never discontinue this or limit the amounts of ingredients that achieve the clean buzz effect this thing generates when the temperature hits above 75 degrees. Edit: There is a decent amount of violet leaf I am picking up now. It seems to hide behind the ozonic and grapefruit notes, but rounds off the woodiness of the base and gives a fresh, wet herbal effect. Violet leaf usually is annoying to me but it is subtlety used in this one. Edit #2: For whatever reason, the violet leaf grew stronger to my nose. The detail of the opening and the smooth base are now in the background to what I missed initially in my first few wears. The violet simply overpowers everything else, which sucks because I like the other notes. Might just be my taste, but I can't wear this one anymore.

This stuff is awesome. Got lucky and found a local beauty store selling testers. They often have discontinued fragrances and was shocked to find this for only $60 cad. Bought up two bottles and should have got more. Super realistic grapefruit in the opening that lasts throughout the life time of the fragrance. After the opening it keeps that strong citrus accord but the woodiness and slight green accord comes in and mixes perfectly. I’ve seen reviews saying it doesn’t mix well with certain skin chemistries, but it works really well on my skin. Projects well and lasts a long time. I got about 8-10 hours on skin with strong projection for the first few hours and then it gradually became a skin scent. I don’t know if I got a good batch or something but this stuff has a good punch on my skin. I normally don’t find citrus forward freshies this interesting, but the way the citrus and woody / green notes come together is just really intoxicating to me. You definitely have to like citrus for this to work because it’s a grapefruit nuke in the opening. Pretty much exclusively a warm weather fragrance. It would work well in the early fall but once it gets really cold I’d wear something else. Overall I adore this stuff. I’m really sad they discontinued it. If you can find it for a good price definitely give it a try if you need a new warm weather fragrance. If you can find Forever I’ve heard it’s pretty much the same just with more citrus and is less smooth than Italian Love.

I found the original light blue a bit funky, but sort of in a sweaty sex sort of way. That's fine for some places and occasions, but definitely not what you want to wear to the office or around friends and family. I find both Italian love and forever to be better balanced and more accessible. Out of the two, I think Italian love is the better. This realistic grapefruit note is something else... It's super rindy and refreshing without being too sweet or sour. I love this in warm weather and for me, I prefer to wear it more casually than dresses up. I save prada l'homme, aqua di parma essenza colognia, and the one grey for business casual and up. This and missonni wave are beach days and weekends without thought. This is a love, despite the sort of ridiculous name. Update 6/13/23: The scent is sooooo damn good! But the performance is sooooo damn weak! I hate how quickly this completely disappears regardless of how much I overspray. All it does is make the opening 15 min too intense and like magic, it's barely a skin scent after 2 hours. I tried everything: applying right after the shower, using moisturizer first, spraying clothes - doesn't matter. This stuff is gorgeous but super thin. It's still a love but it's only good for a short activity or beach day where you want the skin scent or when you will be home again to respray or put on something else on that lasts a bit longer. Ahhhh drives me nuts, this one!

It's mid-afternoon at your vacation home on the coast. Despite having gotten ready for the day about two hours ago, you just now decided to go out onto your balcony and enjoy the vista. Stepping out into the sunlight, you can smell the breeze off the ocean; but thankfully, the tide seems to have brought out all of the seaweed and fish smell with it - so you're just getting pure sea air and a little touch of musk. Feeling a bit peckish, you decide you rather fancy a grapefruit, grab one from the kitchen, and bring it back outside to cut into it. The juices spray up at you in a fine mist, lightly coating your forearms. Sitting back as you enjoy your citrusy snack, you catch a whiff of something, and slowly realise it's you, yourself. As you put your nose to your forearm, the sea breeze blowing up around you, at first, all you can catch is grapefruit - tart, fresh, and rindy. Putting your nose a little closer, though, you realise you're catching the dry-down of your cologne, lingering close to the skin, from when you started your day earlier. "Am I wearing Luna Rossa Carbon?" you wonder to yourself, "or am I catching my body wash? Maybe both." In any event, the admix is intoxicating, and you find yourself sporting a relaxed smile; so, you lay your head back, and bask in the warmth of the sun, deciding to while the rest of the afternoon away in idleness. Welcome to Light Blue Italian Love. 9.2/10

Italian Love is a citrusy, fresh, slightly mineral and aromatic fragrance. Its opening is similar to Ligth Blue Forever for Men, with that very realistic grapefruit note, which is also reminiscent of some grapefruit drinks or sodas. After a few minutes that grapefruit outlet relaxes, and it becomes a little more mineral, ozone and creamy, I imagine like a cocktail drink with grapefruit and mineral water. Once it reaches its drying phase, the aroma becomes more pleasant, a bit musky and woody. Unlike Forever, Italian Love for me is more balanced, since it manages to tame the sharpness of the grapefruit note, in other words, I think Italian Love is a more polished version of Forever, however not everything is an improvement, since its performance is inferior, after the first hour it projects very close to the skin, even so it remained close to 8 hours. at least on my skin. Italian Love, like the entire Light Blue line, is a fragrance for daytime use and for warm days, such as spring and summer. It is a fragrance for casual use, not very formal, outings to the beach, or outdoors. I do not recommend that you buy it blindly, but I do recommend that you try it. I liked Italian Love, I even think it's better than Forever. About the bottle, the combination of colors of the blue liquid with the white cap contrast very well, reminding me of the color of the sea with white beach sand.

This is a great summer fragrance for the beach, a sunny day out or the gym. The opening blast of grapefruit, bergamot with little bit of vetiver is just heavenly. There's a mild woodsy base that binds everything. Then there is this ozonic, salty sea waves vibe with the woodsy note thats just beautiful and takes you straight to the beach. This lasts for 7/8 hours after that all notes recede a great deal and only the salty ozonic vibe remains and it becomes very mildly cloying. That's when the need arises to reapply. The woodsy, ozonic notes create the perfect impression of an old, small, sun baked wooden boat in the sea with waves and the salty sea breeze. If you are a fan of James Bond movies then Italian love takes you straight to all the iconic scenes of Dr No at the Laughing Waters Beach, Jamaica. All good things must ultimately come to an end and this fragrance has been discontinued. But Parcos, Mumbai (the authorised stockist for Dolce&Gabbana in India) still has a huge stock of this. I bought my 50 ml bottle from them for Rs 3850/= ($ 45) I don't entirely get the comparisons with Forever though they share similar vibes. Italian love is back up bottle worthy if you can find it.

I try Light Blue pour Homme Italian Love from Dolce & Gabbana and wow, this one is not the same like normal Light Blue. It feel more crazy, more sunny, like party on the beach in Italy. Defenetly not for shy type, this is for guys who like to be seen and feel alive. First spray at home: It hit me strong with grapefruit and sea breeze. Very bright, like explosion of summer. I was thinking “ok this one is little wild” but in good way. On vacation I wear it when going beach club. Some girls actually stop me and ask “what perfume is this?” They say it smell fun, energetic, sexy. Later we dance together and one of them tell me it remind her of summer romance. Honestly, this parfume gave me best night of the trip. Sunset dinner with friends.....We sit outside, I wear casual shirt, 2-3 sprays only. Friends say I smell like I just step out of Mediterranean. One girl joking “ok now you smell too good for this restaurant”. Italian Love is louder, more expressive than Eau Intense. Not for everybody, but if you like fun, attention, and holiday vibes, this one deliver. On me it last 6-7 hours, perfect for day and night. I definetly recomand for extrovert types or if you wanna feel more alive.

You either love or hate that grapefruit note. I love it, though I will admit it is really strong in the opening. I agree that it is really similar to Forever. I also agree that Forever performs better, but for me that is not a good thing. I don't like the smell of the "Light Blue DNA" on my skin. OG, Eau Intense, etc. -- not good. Forever starts off great for me with an even stronger blast of that grapefruit up front, but over time, that note gradually fades on me until I'm left with the core "Light Blue" scent on my skin, which unwelcomely hangs around a couple of more hours. Italian Love works differently for me. I get that same grapefruit smack in the face and after 15 minutes or so it tones down, gets a little sweeter with a touch of musk and then pretty much stays the same for me until it gradually fades. But because it's mostly the same for me, I can just add a couple of sprays after 3 hours or so and stretch this out to 6 hours. More frequently, though, one this is almost gone at about 4 hours, I hit a few sprays of Davidoff Cool Water Grapefruit and Sage and find that makes for a great afternoon to evening transition in summer weather.

Dear Fragrantica Friends, This is - by far - my favorite release in the designer realm this year. It's much better than Light Blue Forever, trust me. On a first sniff, they might look the same but they absolutely are not! The Grapefruit in forever is much more piercing and long-lasting. It has a sort of mentholated feel that I really don't care for. On the other hand, Italian Love is softer and the grapefruit fades quicker. But the drydown....oh the drydown... man, what a beauty... It has some light woodiness with some ozonic musk. The citric feel remains throughout the life of the fragrance, albeit in the background. Hard to describe, really, but very beautiful and very manly. There are two cons though: first - it is a limited edition, so don't get too attached. Secondly, performance is on the modest side: 2 hours of moderate projection and 6 hours as a light skin scent. The scent bubble that remains in the clothes though, is amazing. Definitely overspray (7 or 8 sprays). The price is incredible (I got the 100ml for roughly 42 euros). I'm going to stock up. This is my new summer scent, period.

While LBF is still the magnificent release. 🙂 LBIL is an outstanding release in its own right. Folks that found LBF unwearable or overly potent due to the high dose of grapefruit/vetiver/musk/patchouli will likely find LBIL to be a much better release. While LBIL still bears many similarities to LBF. LBIL has a softer, cleaner, and a fresher smell with a slight high-end soapy characteristic which as a very nice touch to the fragrance. Even better, LBIL still retains the masculine/sexy characteristic of LBF. With everything being said, LBIL is a very safe blind buy if you enjoy citrus summer scent. LBIL is also extremely versatile and can be worn in any situation. Importantly, LBIL isn't a redundant buy if you already own LBF. It's worth owning LBIL if you like and already own LBF. LBIL and LBF are probably the best releases within the LB line. Performance and Projection are above average for LBIL. Most people will likely yield 8+ hours of wear/sillage and achieve 2-3 hours of solid projection and sillage depending upon the number of and location of sprays and skin chemistry. Overall: 9/10

If you've smelled LB Forever, then you can imagine this smell. Just a bit milder and more rounded which is a big plus in my opinion. Also noticed it projects better than Forever on my skin. Waiting for my bottle now and gonna test it out in cold, see how it acts. Update - what a fragrance! There was both summer weather and freezing temperatures until this edit. One thing was certain - this fragrance performed like a beast, no matter the situation. Office situation? Check. Warm day outside activities? Check. Date? Check. Partying? Everyone loved it - Check. Hanging out in the cold? You know it. Smells both sweet and fresh, dries down to be soft and woody, but then I randomly get whiffs of the citrus even 6 hours later. Such a shame it is a limited edition, I think the smell is worth to be given a few more shots. Another edit - bottle went a bit weird. The grapefruit became much milder, some green notes were much more prominent in the opening and drydown was unusual. Nowhere as good as when I first had it. Gave it away to a friend and got myself Prada Ocean instead for a freshie.

It will never be clear to me why every masterpiece gets pulled from sale in a very short time. This is truly a masterpiece; I receive compliments just like I do with Acqua di Gio Profumo, which is really rare for any other perfume. I put it on in the morning around 8 (maybe 4-5 sprays) and today at 4 PM I received a compliment from a colleague in the office that I smell wonderful... and on top of that, I enjoy this scent all day as it spreads with me through various rooms and wherever there’s a bit of wind. Why do they pull things like this... Luckily, I have a few backup bottles, but I’m really sorry about it. For example, I have never received a single compliment on a perfume that is 4 times more expensive and much stronger (Naxos). Shyamala Maisondieu is an iconic master. I will send her a private message to thank her for this masterpiece. @Dolce&Gabanna: Please create something like Italian Love (an improved version could be groundbreaking) in collaboration with Shyamala, because Summer Vibes was a disappointment.

So I’ve never smelt light blue forever so I can’t compare but at initial sniff of this juice I automatically got fresh authentic smelling grapefruit! At first it was a little off putting semi pungent but after a few minutes it settles down quite a bit and the other notes start coming through especially green and ozonic notes. After an hour it transforms a little synthetic smelling with a musky and woodiness but still very pleasant smelling nonetheless. In the dry down to my nose I didn’t really detect much grapefruit so that might/might not be a good thing just depending on if you were expecting it through the life of the fragrance. This can be enjoyed primarily in the spring and summer during the day or in a climate controlled environment. All in all, this is a worthy designer fragrance most importantly if you’re a collector like myself. 7.5/10

On first spray it was intense, sharp, citrus. I assumed grapefruit and mandarin, but I see the latter isn’t a listed note. There was also a funk, green and a spice note poking through the citrus. A couple of times on the dry down I thought I caught the tang of fresh sweat, not in a bad way, more like I kept huffing my arm like a weirdo to smell it again. After a few hours it became very apparent that I t was the musk and vetiver doing it’s thing.Being a vetiver fan I am down with this ending up the way it does. After 6hrs it is a skin scent but this blows away the LB intense that I sprayed on my other arm. It was gone in max 1 hour. I like this one as an easy summer citrus vetiver. Full bottle may be on the cards.

I think Shyamala Maisondieu did a great job with tweaking this flanker. I thought I was above wearing anything again by D&G (since my favorite, By Man, was discontinued), but I was wrong. This is really great. While the realistic grapefruit is an easy like (just don’t overspray), what I love is the touch of bergamot, followed by the violet leaf, musk, patchouli and vetiver. The structure is not too far off from LL Bergamot 22 or TDH EDT(they don’t smell anything alike, but the vetiver base is on the dirty side). I didn’t get anything foul, but then again I’m not a big fan of squeaky clean scents. I think this is sexy and encourage people to check it out. For the price, it’s totally worth it.

This stuff is great. I don't get all the dislikes on it. It lasts longer than the original on my skin. It has less of that grapefruit that Forever has which I prefer. Ohh and it is cheap for a new release! Right now on Macy's you can get this stuff for $73 with their current discount! That's a win. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 7 5/10 Sillage: 8/10 Projection: 6/10 Overall, 8/10 for me. The dislikes are form people who expected this to be a complete new twist and it wasn't, which I'm fine with. I own the OG, Intense and this and this is sits in the middle for me. Intense is still my favorite light blue release.

I smelled Italian Love at the mall two summers ago and it’s by far the best Light Blue in the line, IMO. I was fortunate enough to find a brand new 100 ml bottle from a Canadian retailer and didn’t have to overpay that much for something that’s discontinued and has been so elusive for me to find. Unlike eau Intense, this doesn’t smell like wet dog or BO, on my skin. After spraying my hand, the juicy grapefruit note really radiates off my skin, and it blends so well with the aquatic, woody green notes. This is the one and only Light Blue frag I need, and I’ll be rocking this in hot weather for years to come

This one shocked me. The Grapefruit in this is pretty realistic. 'Pithy' and 'Sour' but ironically, it's really good because its realism. You can tell the perfumer didn't just relay on Methyl Pamplemousse (Synthetic Chemical) to get the Grapefruit note. They probably used some real grapefruit oil in there along with a pre-made Firmenich Grapefruit Base. But just WOW....best grapefruit note I've ever smelled in a fragrance. Overall, I get mostly grapefruit, soft aquatic notes, white musk and Cashmeran. Projection is decent for a 'freshie', as is the longevity (5-6 hours easily). A good blind buy IMO.

I got the perfume yesterday, started using it today. Those people whos dislike Grapefruit should start looking for another scent, this is not for you. The opening has the best natural grapefruit i've ever smelled in a perfume. The grapefruit is a little bitter and a little sweet at the same time. Neither the bitterness nor the sweetness are overpowering, therefore they are really well balanced. I'm really enjoying this scent. Duration, i don't know exactly how long will last, but after 4~5 hours, i can still smell it from me when i walk. Projection: Moderate tending to weak.

The more it macerates, the more it smells like an Italian coastal fruit stand on a very hot and humid day. This is an absolute masterpiece. There is a hint of a dirty diaper smell though. I’ve even had someone ask me about it without knowing that and so I’m very careful as to where I wear it. I feel it does better indoors as the weird smell comes out and lingers in high heat. I think it’s from the violet leaf? Otherwise, I love this stuff as it boosts my mood and smells like my Italian grandmothers kitchen when the table was full of fruit. Italy in a bottle.

Honestly, forget all negative reviews. D&G Light Blue Italian Love is an absolute banger. I would give Light Blue Forever a 7.5 but IL is a 9. Forever lacks the depth and performance of IL well albeit still a very unique modern summer freshie. IL is a summer time masterpiece that only gets better as it dries down. It retains the sweeter grapefruit bergamot combo well becoming more masculine/woody and sexy throughout. Performance is very good for me about 8-9 hours with very good sillage for the first 6 hours. A must have or I recommend to at least try it.

Wow, yes that was my reaction when I smelled "D&G light blue Italian Love". Like many said, it's true that it smells a lot like the previous edition "Forever". But I did not buy Forever because it was like you opened a grapefruit. Very nice but not convincing as a perfume for me. Italian Love is tweaked just enough to make it perfect imho. I just love it. Like Forever it is a unique fresh fragrance. It is a bit more fruity and sweeter than Forever. The drydown is woody and musky with a hint of grapefruit. Performance is good on my skin. Excellent release.

I must admit this fragrance actually WOWED me, not because it’s super unique or anything but it’s honestly amazingly great quality for the price point! I paid 80 dollars for 100ML and it has one of the absolute most natural fresh smelling grapefruits I’ve ever smelled, same as Forever. The dry down gives me a bit of a TDH vibe with the original D&G LB aquatic cleanness. I have to add this one to the love list for sure. Summer in a bottle and can easily be dressed up or dressed down. Performance is pretty dang solid also. Phenomenal job on this one D&G.

I will echo the sentiments of most of the people here. This is a grapefruit fragrance. If you don't like grapefruit, then do not get this. If you're into grapefruit, however, boy are you in for a treat. I haven't tried Light Blue Forever, but apparently this is pretty similar to that. In any case, Italian Love is an amazing grapefruit EdT. Worth every penny. Performance is okay. But you're paying for the smell, and it's great. Remember that because this is a flanker, it's not going to be around for long, so get on this if you want to try it.

Bought a 2ml decant of this and I very rarely fall in love from a decant. However, this was sensational. The initial opening is very very citus/ grapefruity and my initial reaction was oh, this is too much citrus. But this only lasts a few seconds then it dries down into an exquisite and beautifully refined scent that just oozes quality. The grapefruit is there in the background but it's tempered with ozonic and faint green notes that is sensational. Performance is quite good as well with decent projection. Literally the perfect summer scent

Took a sniff of this after reading the reviews and man.. oh, man.. Love at first sniff! Love the photorealistic grapefruit smell of this! Doused a whole bunch of test strips and left it in the car and the grapefruit scent is lasting for weeks lol. Tried it on skin, the dry down is equally great. Bought a full bottle and a full tester bottle the next day. Stocking up before it gets discontinued. Really want to try LB Forever but can't find it anywhere around me to test it out. DEFINITELY NOT A BLIND BUY. TRY IT AND SEE IF YOU LIKE IT.

I hope this is good.... bc I just blind bought 2 100ml bottles lol. :: Yup.. it's f'ing good. So glad I scooped up two bottles from a reputable ebay seller. What's amazing is that for a summer scent, it is actually quite strong. I went nuts with it, 10 sprays, before heading out for a beach night, and the sillage was impressive all night. The grapefruit opening is mouthwatering and powerful for at least the first hour or two. The green notes come out in the dry down. I put a solid dent in it in a 7 day vacation. Worth it!

By far my favourite of the D&G Light Blue collection! ‘Italian Love’ opens up with an ozonic burst of grapefruit & bergamot over a background of green notes & icy-crisp vétiver - fresher and airier than LB Forever - that is just delightful. Performance remains mostly intimate throughout but maintains a strong intimate presence even several hours later when the citrus elements give way to a softer, ‘fluffy’ but still fresh smoothness. Every bottle of this was on -40% sale in Paris. I hope it’s not being discontinued!

Thanks to Shyamala Maisondieu for creating such a realistic grapefruit accord in a fragrance that is both mass-appealing and affordable. While the scent leans linear, the vibrant freshness of grapefruit, paired with a musky and woody base, is perfect for hot environments. Italian Love has decent projection but less longevity than Forever. For those seeking more grapefruit rindiness of this DNA, Forever is the better choice. As for the ‘sweaty body odor’ note? I don’t pick it up at all.

Beautifully similar to forever but rounded out differently. This is edt concentration but has similar performance. The opening is grapefruit and ozonic whereas forever is just grapefruit. The mid dries into more grapefruit and woods with some green notes in the background. Not necessary to purchase if you have forever, but has the same wow factor when you smell it. Amazing scent but not a far departure from the amazing forever from D&G. I love this scent profile.

I have Italian Love and also Forever. I prefer Italian Love becouse it has a green touch, and between them, this one is the grapefruit lemonade scent. Unlike Forever, which in my opinion doesn't have that lemonade vibe, it's just dense grapefruit scent. For unexperienced noses, for 90% of the people you'll encounter and will feel in the air, these are the same. I think the choice is only yours, how you feel them. But i love more the greener, lemonade one.

I've finally found a grapefruit scent that both my wife and I enjoy. I tried Light Blue Forever, but the grapefruit notes were more tart and lasted well beyond the spray. With Italian Love, it starts out strong on the initial spray, but then softens up and takes on a slightly more masculine scent than Forever did for me. I really love this as a summer fragrance, and while the difference might seem subtle, I enjoy Italian Love much more than I did Forever.

Super glad I didn’t let all the negative comments and reviews stop me from buying this scent. It’s absolutely beautiful the grapefruit is bright fresh and totally not overpower or sour. It smells clean a tad bit sweet and is slightly invigorating. I also don’t get any b.o or sweat smell in the dry down it just gets ozonic, aquatic, and a touch salty with a hint of woods. I truly can’t wait to wear this in the warmer months and see this baby truly shine!

First up a massive hit of citrus/grapefruit which is fresh and clean. Like you've had a a wave of citrus freshness crash into your face. Then over the next 15 to 20 minutes it calms down into a nice fresh, sweet musky scent. Sadly the projection isn't exactly strong with Italian Love so maybe give it a few extra sprays. Still, lots to love about this one. And for the money it's a summer must have. Definitely better tested off skin than a card.

Really great. As everyone says, super realistic strong grapefruit opening that I like but didn't think it was for me. It started to change 1-2 hours into dry down...then WOW! The other notes and aquatic feel balanced the grapefruit, that is still there, but not stealing the show anymore. It lasts for 8-10hrs on my skin which is rare for me (usually don't get more than 4-5 hrs with most frags). On clothes it lasts for more than a day.

I'm adressing thanks to Dolce Gabbana for creating this wonderful performing fragrance. It's long lasting, i've applied it 5h ago and i've been feeling it all this time. I've been using it ocasionally since february, and i can still feel it like the first time, i haven't gone nose blind to it at all. Long lasting grapefruit lemonade, thanks Dolce Gabbana for such great performance! You can do it, stop messing up with the new ones!

Like someone below me stated, this could have or should have been labeled Light Blue Forever EdT...Italian Love is a little bit of a brighter take whereas Forever is the darker, mature version. However, I believe that most people would not be able to make out the difference between the two without knowing IMHO. I would consider this a redundant buy if you are not a collector. Still a great scent though. And good for the value.

I bought this during my vacation in Italy after forgetting my summer fragrance at home (ADG Profondo), but I was ultimately hooked. It's a bit deeper than other summer fragrances, with a nice dry down and a great performance and longevity. I did not use it until next summer, when it unfortunately was not found again in stores. I couldn't find Light Blue Forever in stores as well, as this would be the next best thing to it.

One of the greatest grapefruit-centric fresh fragrances ever created. It is refreshing, uplifting, and just elevates my mood anytime I wear it. It does, however, really sing in the warmer weather. It is somewhat linear, but i appreciate that about it. I relish that citric goodness, and it lasts quite long on skin. I get no off-putting notes or strangeness from this at all. A really great Spring & Summer wear.

This smells almost exactly like LB Forever for him, and I love that one, so I love this. See my review for that one, because I described it pretty accurately if I do say so myself. Smells beautiful, youthful, earthy, coastal, sandy, grey-blue, summery but in a beautifully dirty kinda way. Like dirty bare feet and sunkissed skin and wavy salty hair and a spirit full of life and dreams and adventure and hope.

O-M-G ! Love @ first sniff !!! I tested this and Light Blue Forever today @ Macy's. The Light Blue Forever was very nice....however....the Italian Love just won me over ! The only "drawback" with Italian Love...IMO...on my skin...is that the performance is just OK...sadly. But it smells divine !! A nice surprise.....so I bought it on the spot...full retail....@#$%!...lol....which is a no-no for me usually.

@Ksj_ Yes, it does smell quite similar to Terre De Hermes as it starts to dry down but almost like a cleaner and airier counterpart to TDH, it’s not as earthy and dirty. For some reason, I get great performance from this one- almost 8-10 hours+ of longevity and great projection as well. Definitely a niche-like standalone scent in the designer realm with great quality. Shame that it’s discounted :(

Man oh man, I love this one. I wish they didn’t discontinue it. If you love sour, juicy, realistic grapefruit, you’ll love this. I want this in my rotation forever. Lately I’ve been layering it with Classic Green by Banana Republic which has a green tea bubble bath quality that pairs BEAUTIFULLY with this. I really love the way I feel throughout the day when I catch the pair on my collar.

I'm now afraid to use my LB Italian Love because it's discontinued. Even though I have one backup bottle, I just wish they hadn't discontinued such a great release. It's truly a love; fresh, aromatic, a citrus bomb, wonderfully blended, with very good projection and longevity, not to mention the perfect bottle and color. D&G, please continue production of this beauty.

Light Blue Italian Love pour Homme is quite similar to the year 2021 release, Light Blue Forever pour Homme. The Italian love adds Sicilian bergamot note, it's a nice addition. They both have something salty too. Violet leaf and grape fruit are still the main players. This is a lovely fragrance. However the original Light Blue pour Homme lovers might be disappointed.

Wow, just picked this up from a sweet old lady on marketplace for 40 bucks. Realistic zingy grapefruit. Ozonic with a nice herbal green touch. I don't really get any of the notes in the base apart from the vetiver but that could just be me. This really stands out in an otherwise boring line. Grab it up if you can find it for a decent price.

They could not name this one Light Blue Forever Improved but that is basically what it is. The grapefruit opening that made Forever one of the most popular fragrances of 2021 is slightly dialed back in Italian Love. There is more body in the mid and dry down of Italian Love, making it a superior release overall than the one note Forever.

Man, this has to be my favorite summer fragrance of all time, shame its only a limited edition. i love how the grapefruit just punches you in the nose and wakes you up, while having some green and woodsy naunces in the background. just an incredible creation by Shyamala Maisondieu! i will keep my eye out on this perfumer from now on!

Another limited release under the Light Blue line. Scent profile is relatively different from Light Blue Intense. They say this is something similar to Light Blue Forever. Im not gonna lie this is good, for a person coming from a tropical country this is a must have. Ill keep this in my rotation as to not over use Light Blue Intense

I think this fragrance is being phased out, and they're selling only 50ml bottles, correct me if I'm wrong. I really like this scent because it's unique in its own way and perfect for summer. I just ordered a 50ml bottle so I can have it for this summer :) The new Light blue flanker for 2023 is ready and it's called: Summer Vibes
