Q by Dolce & Gabbana Parfum

If the previous Qs underwhelmed and left you yearning for more, the Q Parfum will satisfy surely. It is so dreamy. A gift from my Mother that wished me the dreamy cherries I fell in love with. The bottle is just her style, the rich cherry red bottle fits the crown perfectly. The best look out of the trio. The best Q :) Today afternoon in 31°C I decided to indulge myself properly with 2 sprays on my neck, one on my wrist and 2 on my blouse. Wow. What a treat! Perfect bubble for an evening out that will envelop your date in goodness. If I love a scent, and this I do, I love it to have intense aura and enhance mine. For a day I would use one spray under my hair. It would be sufficient I think. Or to walk into a mist. The cherries are very natural here. Juicy yet at the same time candied, as if someone glazed fresh sweet cherries. The jasmine here is clean and floral, fully covered with cherries of the top and vanilla of the bottom. The vanilla is like a fresh pod, slightly woody. It is very playful yet seductive and mysterious. Fits me like a glove. A new love. It will be perfect any season. But rather for the free time, unless used very lightly for a day. Cherry perfection. This time the brand slowly perfected the formula reaching top spot with this entry. The performance is perfect. It is strong and long lasting but not overwhelming. 6 nearly 7 hours of gorgeous candied cherries with high quality vanilla and going strong still. It warmed up and is keeping me in a bubble. On clothes it lasts at least 24 hours. Woody, smoky vanilla with cherry lollipop.

This fragrance was a pleasant surprise. Upon spraying, it immediately smells like cherries—but not in a juvenile way. It’s sweet, yet sophisticated and mature. The projection and sillage are seriously impressive. The cherry note really stands out, alongside the soft floral touch of jasmine. The vanilla base adds a warmth that balances the sweetness perfectly, and there’s a powdery quality to it that adds a chic, elegant softness. Some people say it smells synthetic or cheap, but I completely disagree. To me, it smells refined and sophisticated. I wouldn’t have discovered it without a sample, but now I’m hooked. It’s definitely more suited for fall or cold spring days, and it’s going straight onto my wishlist.

Went i to Ulta to buy another fragrance and tested a bunch of others. I almost didnt try this because the bottle and it having cherry. Well it was love at first sniff. The cherry is there but it is balanced and not too sweet or tart and not medicinal at all. It is a beautiful feminine fragrance and my first cherry scent. If you have several cherries you might not need this one. It will be great as an inviting cooler weather scent. I like it better on clothing anf fabric better as the vanilla develops more on skin and vanillas are hard for me. The longevity and projection are both great. I was also able to get the 100ml for less than half the price on Jomashop.

I tried to avoid the actual cherry fashion trend, but I fell for this simple, easy, lovely cherry perfume. It's so harmless, yet so cute, feminine (not girly) sweet cherry creation, I loved it when I sniffed on the test paper. Luckily it was the same on my skin, now I'm planning to purchase a bottle. On my skin it's a cinnamony cherry, dipped in vanilla syrup, and I don't feel any jasmine, instead a bit of warm spicyness. Simple, but wearable anytime. The sad part is longevity, it lasted about an hour on me, so I'll have to take the bottle with me everywhere I go. But there are situations when we know...but we don't care 😄

Gorgeous! This is the perfect winter cherry! From the first spray a burst of sweet cherry liqueur - no medicinal or weak cherry juice here! And this scent laaaasts a long time (unlike Lost Cherry), when sprayed on clothes until the next day (and beyond). There is a certain nuttiness, especially towards the drydown, but that note works perfectly with cherry. The jasmine is not particularly prominent, but yes, a part of the mix. This is the perfect Christmas holiday scent, like a piece of fine confectionary. I would also recommend this for Valentine's day, together or without some chocolate and some red roses... perfect!

This does remind me of the OG fragrance and stands firmly as a heavier more syrupy version perfect for cooler months. The cherry is more dominant but I do detect some of the OG citrus in the background. Jasmine and vanilla do come forward in the dry down. I personally love it and it was a successful blind buy for someone that isn’t a big cherry note lover. Layers really well with not a perfume by JHAG. I even spray this over the top after a few hours to give it a boost. LOL @cherrysniffers review. I haven’t worn this out yet either, bit scared too... will report back :D

Q opens with a medicinal sirupy dark red cherry. Thankfully the bitter medicinal smell quickly dissipates and it settles in an aromatic, pleasing scent that almost reminds me of a church, as if there is some cherry flavored incense burning far from me. I find it a good blend with the jasmine and the longer I wear it, the better the dry down gets. Whenever I spray it, it gets noticed. Sillage is pretty good and I can smell it on me at all times. It's definitely a mood.

This has a very distinct cherry with a hint of spice but is not bothersome at all. I am someone who is very sensitive to heavy fragrances, and this doesn’t bother me at all. It’s so sexy, it’s like eating a Cherry slowly in front of your Date to seduce him. This also was the first perfume to get me compliments from a stranger. A guy come up to me to ask what I’m wearing and said he had to get it for his girlfriend because he liked the smell so much. 🤭🍒

Very beautiful. Finally a Q that fits me. Coincidentally I find it similar to Moresque Perpetual and to Dior Poison Girl Unexpected. The first one more gingerbread, the second with ginger instead of cherry but if you miss it Q Parfum will fill the space. Very cherry and very vanilla yet jasmine cuts excess sweetness and it wears comfortably. I feel it around all day. It is so cherry, sweet and yet refreshing. On my tobuy list it goes.

Perfect cherry fragrance! Nothing nauseating or medicinal here. I love the cherry note- that actually seems to be challenging in general. It brings natural freshness of cherry without any sour notes, then it mingles with delicate white flowers, finally settles into really cozy, inviting vanilla scent- absolutely lovely, not to sweet and not to dark. I own this one and Intense version of OG and I love them both.

SO gorgeous. I wasn’t quite as drawn to the other ones in the Q collection, but this one is sexy and beautiful. I do agree that this is similar to TF Lost Cherry, but this has more of a jasmine essence in it. Not to mention the little topper on the bottle is adorable! I hope to get my hands on a bottle of this at some point because it’s a standout among the other D&G scents.

I really really like the smell of this, on my skin I can clearly smell cherry /jasmine and it dries down to almost a comforting soapy smell with faint vanilla. My only gripe is that I either go nose-blind to it or it just doesnt last long on me and it sits very close to my skin. If they'd amp up the lasting power it'd be unstoppable!

I wasn’t expecting to like this, based on my experience of the original, but it’s actually great. A really strong candy cherry, backed up with vanilla and a jasmine floral edge. I was expecting more citrus but it’s very nice. It’s not a long-time performer but worth a shout if you can find a deal.

THIS is how a cherry perfume should smell. This is a rich, dark, sexy, sweet and juicy cherry vanilla with a slight jasmine note. I'm iffy on jasmine, but it's done perfectly in this perfume. I can't believe it's not talked about as much as TF Lost Cherry. This is 10000x better.

Wow. I like this one better than Intense. The cherry is alittle Smokey and definitely gives Jergens Cherry Almond vibes like Intense but I find this to be more balanced. The drydown the jasmine is there and not leaving.

Got this as a sample, and OMG. As a big fan of Lost Cherry and cherry notes overall, this is so good. This fragrance is more simple than LC yet still pretty elegant and delicious.

Love at first sniff ! Very mass appealing ! Tried on in airport duty free and had to get it ! Big sillage too !

So this is CHERRY....like if I could make the letters a larger font I would. Within the 1st few seconds, if I focus on LC, I can see why people think it leans into Lost Cherry...but they are not the same. Not in the same family...like distant cousins that shares 1 singular common trait and that is the type of cherry used in this fragrance. I smelled the Intense flanker and they do have the same DNA, but this one def leads primarily with the cherry note. On paper I can smell the citrus going strong, but on my skin the citrus is in the background with the floral notes. I think that there are some notes missing from the description. On the Dolce&Gabbana site it only shows what Fragrantica has, but there is more complexity than just 3 notes in this. Overall, being a cherry frag lover, I really like it. It's uplifting, daytime, warm weather vibes. If you do not like cherry or you only like a small amount of it in your fragrances this is not for you. This is through and through a strong cherry/floral fragrance....and I'm here for it :)

Super generic, faint and subtle but very mass appealing take on a sweet cherry. It’s not an unusual blend of notes: cherry, jasmine and vanilla, hence it smells like most cherry fragrances already available on the market. As far as that goes, there’s nothing new and interesting about Q and definitely doesn’t worth the money D&G charges for it. But the juice smells nice! If I could find it for half off, I’d buy it. It’s giving me Tom Ford Lost Cherry vibes and I love that ( super overpriced as well) scent. I could layer them to see if that’s improving the longevity of Lost Cherry somehow... The bottle looks beautifully designed, in a rich, burgundy shade while the cap is metal. It’s heavy and not cheaply made, like the bottles from the Dolce line. It’s a good one for cherry lovers from Dolce &Gabanna! But totally overpriced.

Cherry is my favorite type of scent profile and I'm not gonna lie, i was kind of expecting a bit more from this. So many people were saying this wasn't a medicinal or synthetic cherry note but I couldn't disagree more. I find it to be borderline medicinal and syrupy. Q is basically just a jasmine perfume with a maraschino cherry on top. It's nice, fruity, and definitely uncharacteristic of most designer fragrances - in a good way. It doesn't have that overly synthetic floral DNA so many designer fragrances have. But overall, it's just okay. The cherry fades pretty fast and it definitely doesn't perform as well as so many others noted. I'm happy to use up my bottle but definitely wouldn't repurchase - I blind bought this on a hope and prayer that it would be as good as others said it would. Rating: 6.5/10

I usually don't like perfumes with Jasmine, unless there are plenty of other notes in there, so the jasmine isn't too obvious. I saw this fragrance only had 3 notes, with one of them being jasmine, but I do love cherry and vanilla, so I tried it out, and boy was I surprised. First I tested it on a test strip, and I lived it immediately. Then on my skin. At first it is pure cherry. Not too sweet, though. On the dry down the cherry goes more to the background and the vanilla and jasmine come through more. But I don't mind it, since the cherry is still slightly there. Is it my favourite cherry scent, no. Would I buy it, maybe with a discount or promo. It is definitely not a bad scent, I do like it, and maybe I need to wear it more to appreciate it more, like black opium over red.

Anyone who labels this as intimate projection is LYING!! Half a spray from my 1.5ml sample and I can smell it immediately. It’s a very sweet cherry jam scent, but as it always is with cherry fragrances- also synthetic. I’m not a fan of cherry fragrances so I wouldn’t purchase, but if you’re someone who is this is definitely worth it. It’s the only enjoyable cherry fragrance to me. It’s very warm and boozy and the vanilla makes it a comforting scent. I definitely get a certain nuttiness which makes the fragrance even cozier. Even as someone not really into cherry fragrances, I would enjoy wearing this on colder autumn days. It’s very comforting and melancholy. It fades almost completely after about 2-4 hours. All that remains is a faint, powdery vanilla skin scent.

It honestly smells the same as the edt and edp to me/on my skin, which is fine because I liked those but returned both because no longevity. This one finally fixed that issue. 3 sprays and I could still smell 3 hours later, vs 10 sprays with the edp and edt and both of those were gone within 15 minutes. I prefer this over lost cherry and kayali burning cherry. Both of those were way too screechy/sharp/sour for my liking. Bought my bottle from Jomashop because honestly I would never spend over 120 for a 3.4oz of this when there are so many other good cherry scents out there. At retail $184 for a 3.4oz... ridiculous. Not a fan of d&g usually, but it's annoying to see brands like theirs and Valentino really jacking up their prices to this extent.

Smells like an expensive, refined cherry unlike may other cherry scents that give cheap cough syrup. I think it has perfect scent bubble, not too strong. If you like cherry scents but want something more refined/sophisticated, you should try this! This was gifted to me... and although I don’t really like cherry perfumes I haven’t gotten rid of it yet so it must not be terrible. But I’ve hardly touched it in the over 6 months I’ve had it. Gives me fall date night vibes.

très proche de lost cherry même si tout compte fait je préfère lost cherry. sent vraiment la cerise, toutes celles qui aiment la cerise aimeront ce parfum. tenue légère sur ma peau et pas vraiment de sillage, convient bien pour l'automne, a un côté sophistiqué

So far the best flanker if you're looking for a CHERRY scent... Not as cherry-forward as TF but a lot closer to that than previous perfumes in line that were more citrus forward and floral. Vanilla has the same petrol/car freshener quality as in Devotion.

It’s a harmless fragrance. To me, it smells like almonds or a nutty cream kind of like an almond-scented lotion. It stays very close to the skin, nice for wearing at home. Nothing special, not unpleasant but not particularly enjoyable either.

Beautiful cherry fragrance. Reminds me a lot of the Intense flanker but more cherry note is dominant. It’s beautiful, long lasting but nothing unique. Great for day time and summer. Medium sweet. It doesn’t remind me of TF Lost Cherry.

Smells like cherry in a way that does read more on the waxy side I also get cinnamon it was the actually the first note that came to mind before the cherry It kinda reads like a Christmas themed candle actually

Got this in a tester pack and I’m really pleasantly surprised. Way better than devotion. Kind of addicting actually. I don’t have previous good experiences with cherry notes..

Starts off a little harsh but dries down into a pretty cherry, vanilla scent. Think of a watered down cherry cola.

I’m impressed, very realistic maraschino cherry from the start, and a touch of almond- delicious 🤤

This is what Tom Ford Lost Cherry should have smelled like.

The gorgeous bottle made me obsessed and was desperately trying to get a tester to try - as i now avoid blind buying any gabbana flankers because of many disappointments especially linked to their mediocre performance - and this one was quite expensive to say the least. I finally could get my hands on this one (i ordered a sample*), and was happy i didn't purchase it. It smells exactly like my hands soap that costs 4€ (Baylis&Harding The Edit Cherry Temptation). The cherry here while pleasant and lightweight, is nothing new; any cheaper alternatives of cherry for 5€ would smell the same and the cherry here takes the lead for the first 20min (we only smell it). With a barely perceptible sillage (no projection at all). After cherry disappears, you directly sense a weird mix of poorly blended jasmine/vanilla (it remains a skin scent) ; it's like the intense a version in the dry down where we can still sense a little cherry in the mixture, you take that and remove the cherry. Overall the longevity is approximately of an hour on skin, with a mediocre projection for 10 min before becoming a skin scent. Overall this fragrance despite of its magnificient bottle, is ridiculously overpriced and so not worth it. I found it to be a waste of money even if you absolutely adore cherry scents; i'm sure better alternative out there exist for cheaper price, there is absolutely nothing extraordinary (either the scent with the simple cherry smell or its performance) about this fragrance.

The first spray is a very direct cherry note. It does not resemble fresh fruit; it feels closer to cherry candy, with a clearly defined sweetness. The cherry is unmistakable. Soon after, jasmine begins to appear. At this stage the cherry shifts into the background, supporting the jasmine while leaving behind its sweetness. Combined with the white floral tone of jasmine, the result is the kind of fruity-floral scent people often describe simply as “very pleasant.” In the drydown, the fragrance turns into a soft vanilla sweetness with a creamy character. Dolce and Gabbana’s commercial women’s line tends to follow a recognizable pattern. The scent almost always settles into a creamy sweetness toward the end. The structure is straightforward, without much complexity. Overall it works as a competent commercial fragrance.

Smells very ambery (not listed in the notes but I've seen it be described as a woody amber fragrance) which I usually don't enjoy but this actually works well coupled with the sweeter notes. Can't say it screams cherry though that's probably a good thing if you don't want a super girly scent. Edit: I gave it a second try and it smells like cherry cola. Yeah, my nose is not very reliable. Lol. But still the scent is really nice. Would love to find dupes of this that have better performance.

This just arrived today (blind buy) but I am not smelling what everyone else is smelling. This is not a gourmand or cherry scent—to my nose those is a heavy jasmine-forward scent and it’s far from Lost Cherry DNA. Nothing like BO Over Red either. This is a challenging scent for me, but I’m hoping it grows on my come Autumn.

For the lucky people having jomashop in their country, i recommend ordering the full bottle at the price of 63$ i saw (was shocked). That’s a great price considering here in Europe/France it’s found around 120€... which is ludicrous for this performance and what it has to offer.

My skin is pulling out the jasmine much more than any cherry or vanilla so to me this smells much more green and earthy than it was probably intended to.

I adore a cherry note in a perfume but something smells a little off about this. On the opening I smell almond, cherry and urine. I think it might be the white floral element? As sometimes I smell a urine smell from a lot of white florals in nature. I don’t get the ‘sophisticated’ scent so many others seem to get - I get public bathroom. I thought it may just be my skin chemistry at first but I’ve tried this out on both skin and fabric and I pick up the same notes on both. I really wanted to love this! Try before you buy.

It’s marketed as a cherry-vanilla-jasmine fragrance, but on my skin it smells nothing like any of those notes. Instead, it just comes across as a very, very sweet, overly synthetic “perfumy” musky scent. The supposed cherry note is basically nonexistent, the jasmine never shows, and neither does the vanilla. No signature notes, the only thing you get is the very sweet parts of the notes, and some standard musky note. The heavy musk in the base completely takes over after the sweetness, which gives this perfume that typical designer perfume smell. Honestly, it could almost pass as one of my boyfriend’s generic standard musky colognes, just much sweeter. If you’re looking for a fragrance with distinct cherry or floral notes, this isn’t it. It’s mostly sweet musks wrapped in a cloud of synthetic perfume. Not at all what I hoped for.

Monstrous medicinal cherry on nauseatingly strong woody-amber base.

I definitely get the Lost Cherry reference although this is more similar to Wrap Me in Dreams as it dries into a powder heavy cherry scent. Its a very realistic cherry juice smell. Like 100% cherry juiced into a glass. The juice is out in the sun for hours and you take a swig. I think it may be better than Lost & Wrap, thats saying alot from someone who doesn't like designer scents. I like them on first spray but by the dry down they are basic & cliche. This is getting better and better. I may just pick up a bottle or wait for the new Elixir in March? I find this better than all the cherries I've tried. Lost, Wrap, Boadicea, Wet Cherry, Eat my Cherry, ect.

Something about the original Q didn't agree with my nose so I didn't pay attention to the EDT release. This sounds more my speed as I do like cherry fragrances but they have to be done right--no cough drop, cough medicine vibe, and no obviously foodie vibes. The jasmine sambac has me concerned as I usually detect that note as either fecal or halitosis and I would much rather have jasmine grandflorium used. I'll give it a sniff if I bother going to Ulta or Sephora soon but it doesn't look to be much different from the other cherry offerings already floating around.

tried this on a paper sample. initially thought it similar to bella donna intense by bugatti, which i loved wearing during winter and autumn, however Q intense is way lighter and not coffee leaning. i could smell a bit of the cherry, but it wasn't as prevalent. the dry down however. it's a delicious nutty vanilla, warm and mature. probably won't get this in a near future, or i'll try a real sample on skin and try to wear it for a few days. befitting autumn the best.

I am actually very surprised how much I like DG fragrances. I tried this one only and on the first sniff it was so lovely and light but still sweet in a soft way. It is very fruity but not headache inducing. If you’re into fruity gourmand but don’t want something pretentious, this is a great choice.
